3. As a result of COVID-19 and its restrictions, Qantas operated its last flight between Sydney and Santiago de Chile in March 2020. Services were carried out on Boeing 747-400 (ER) aircraft, configured with 364 seats in three classes. The Australian airline had four weekly flights between the two cities, offering 1,456 seats per week on each leg.
Requirements for entering to Chile
To have completed a vaccination program (2 doses), which must be validated at mevacuno.gob.cl before entering Chile.Here, travelers will request the validation and learn when it will be approved. The vaccination approval period will be informed to the traveler at the time of making the request, procedure that may take up to 30 calendar days.

Probably the easiest way to get from Sydney to South America is flying direct from Sydney to Santiago in Chile with Australia's national carrier - QANTAS. This route is also a fantastic addition to any round the world ticket featuring the one world alliance and in fact can make a different way to get to Europe rather than the traditional route via Asia.

According to GDS data obtained by Aviacionline, the company will resume operations between Sydney and Santiago de Chile starting October 31st.
