Attached to the travel plaza is a Mexican restaurant called El Pico de Gallo. It is excellent. I've eaten there multiple times and have never had a bad dish or margarita. Believe it or not, these days when I go, it's to enjoy a hamburger. The standard burger is a loaded bacon cheeseburger. I'm sure that they will make it anyway you wish, but the standard is amazing to me. Fresh ingredients, perfectly toasted bun, and served with fries. Even if you are ordering a burger, they still hook you up with some amazing salsa and chips, so don't be afraid to try some of that salsa on your burger!

Did not stop at casino but did use there gas station and quick mart on our travels as they carry Stuckey's products and we needed a log roll. Clean rest rooms. No fresh made ice tea other than bottled which is sad. Staff was helpful and answered my questions.

This review is only for pico de Gallo Mexican restaurant. I phoned in a carry out order from their online menu which featured fajitas for two, $26.99. When I went in to pay and pick up, the bill was $46.99! She whipped out a menu and started waving it around, where the price in the restaurant was $31.99. She was still overcharging me by over $10. Theft. Loss leader advertising.

The Mexican Restaurant used to be really great....now it just fills a void if you're hungry. I waited to post a review because I kept hoping it would improve but my last 3 visits were the same, BLAH

Best beef Mexican tacos with salsa. As good as California Mexican beef tacos. Ask for Mexican tacos in corn tortillas.

Nice, clean station to stop at for gas, etc. shower area for truckers. Subway inside store, also quick bites like Pizza, etc and an authentic Mexican restaurant attached. Very good.

This is kinda an odd stop if you're coming from the Greater Baton Rouge heading to Shreveport...you're not too deep into your trip when you hit Exit #23 on I-49...however if you need to stop this is a good spot to address whatever your needs may be... Chevron gas, Subway sandwiches, Hunt Bros. pizza, all the standard C store selections (coffee, snacks, beer etc...) Also has a pretty decent selection of liquor for sale...Attached to and accessible from the C store is a sit down Mexican restaurant, El Pico de Gallo....have never tried it so can't speak on its ouput other than to say it's there... Good location to handle one's travel needs...plus they have a condom machine in the Men's restroom!

I absolutely love this place sure it's don't look like much but the food is so good and the service is always great ! Also it's always clean so are their restrooms. Great for families and small get togethers. And great margaritas too!!

Fantastic fajitas. Nicely spiced. Ask for jalapeños. I'll make this a planned stop when traveling I-49.

Not the best choice at 0130 even if you have to keep driving. They have 3 people working to tell the customer NO repeatedly. No hot food except pizza and only a large pizza. The subway had the slowest sandwich person I've ever seen and no guac. No garlic bread. No meatballs and no marinara sauce. Over toasted the sandwich? How the hell do you do that? All I wanted was a cup of coffee and some breadsticks. Could not figure out the cappuccino machine. Not me, the person who worked there. It was six spouts of hot water. Good lord, just close if you can't offer what people expect. Even for Louisiana this was crappy

very good place for drivers they have free showers and very clean and the workers are very kind and it has very good food

I haven't stopped here in years since I switched companies. I stayed last night and I'm very happy to see how good this truck stop still is. It's quiet, clean inside and outside. It has a lot of mowed grass to walk your dog which is nicely lit at night, too. The employees are all very nice to the customers. It's like an Oasis here from the daily grind.

Spent $100 and didn’t ever win more than I bet. Not 1 time. I’d stay out of the casino unless you like donating. Other than the casino not paying nothing to anybody while I was there, it’s a decent place for a 10 hr break.

Worth stopping!! Decent truck parking. Free showers; yes free!! Please, leave a tip for the shower attendant. It's appreciated. 1 ladies and 1 men's shower. The shower was cleaner than most major chains. Lots of pressure and hot water.The only negative was not having a place to put my stuff (soap, shampoo, towels, etc...) And no vent or fan. I enjoyed my meal in the Mexican restaurant. The server was nice and checked on me during my meal. The food was hot, fresh and good. The salsa for my chips was not hot. I requested a hotter fresh salsa and it was no problem, very good. I will definitely stop here again.

VERY clean restrooms. Good pizza by the slice and lots of tractor-trailer parking. An overall good place for a break. They have Community Coffee on tap, so you KNOW this is a quality establishment.

I use to stop here about twice a week for ten years. I changed jobs so this is the first time I've been here in a couple years. ... Hasn't changed. Still very friendly people working here.
