Taylor Swift stares into the camera from the stage.

There’s no time like the present, Swifties.

On April 19, Taylor Swift dropped her 11th studio album “The Tortured Poet’s Department.” As expected, the 34-year-old singer-songwriter became the internet’s main character.

Some raved about the sprawling, ambitious double album; others criticized the record for its length, subject matter and lyrics.

All we know is that in the seven days that have passed, ticket prices to see Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ live have plummeted for most of her concerts in Europe.

Based on our findings, most shows have seats available that are significantly cheaper than they cost just a week ago.

In fact, some tickets are over $1,000 less than they were on April 19 already.

While it’s not the case for her U.S. and Canada gigs — where prices have mostly stayed flat or slowly risen — we’d argue it might be in your best interest to book tickets to an overseas ‘Eras Tour’ concert given this cooldown.

Want to find out how much tickets cost for ‘Eras Tour’ concerts versus what they were going for on April 19?

We’ve got everything you need to know and more about Taylor Swift’s 2024 tour below.

All prices listed above are subject to fluctuation.

Taylor Swift 2024 tickets

A complete calendar including all upcoming tour dates, venues, and the best ticket prices for all concerts versus what they cost on April 19 can be found here.

*The lower ticket price is in bold.

(Note: The New York Post confirmed all above prices at the publication time. All prices are in US dollars, subject to fluctuation and include additional fees at checkout .)

Vivid Seats is a verified secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They offer a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and your tickets will be delivered prior to the event.

Taylor Swift set list

While Swift is known for dropping a surprise song or two into her shows, the tracks stay surprisingly consistent for most gigs (although that will likely change in the wake of “TTPD’s” release).

Taylor Swift ‘Eras Tour’ news

Our team has been following the ‘Eras Tour’ closely over the past year.

Over the past few months, we spoke to a Swiftie who  shared some helpful tips  about seeing Taylor live and  came up with a list of all the most exciting fan trends .

Taylor Swift new music

As noted above, Swift’s  “The Tortured Poets Department”  was released at midnight (and subsequently at 2 a.m.) on Friday, April 19.

While every listener will likely come away with their own favorites, we particularly enjoyed the sleek, synth-y “Fortnight,” icy “So Long, London,” anthemic “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” bombastic slow build of “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived” and gorgeously arranged “Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus.”

If you want to give it a spin — if you haven’t already, that is — you can find “The Tortured Poets Department”  here .

Taylor Swift opening acts

Taylor only has two opening acts lined up for the ‘Eras Tour’ this year.

Here’s what you need to know about her well-established special guests.

Paramore  will play alongside Swift after mounting a massive 2023 tour of their own. The group, fronted by lead singer Hayley Williams, reunited in 2022 after a five-year hiatus. For fans that want to check out their latest, you can listen to “This Is Why,” their sixth studio album, which dropped in February 2023.

Gracie Abrams , the daughter of film director JJ Abrams and producer Katie McGrath, is a star in her own right. Her song “I miss you, I’m sorry” has upwards of 100 million streams on Spotify, she opened for Olivia Rodrigo on the 2022 “Sour Tour” and headlined her own tour last spring as well.

Huge stars on tour in 2024

Although it will cost an arm and a leg (sometimes more!) to see Swift live this year, there are much more affordable concerts you can attend this year.

Here are just five of our favorite artists you won’t want to miss live.

‱  Olivia Rodrigo

‱  Kacey Musgraves

‱  Pink

‱  Chappell Roan

‱  Alanis Morissette

Swift announced The Eras Tour in November 2022. At the Grammys 2024, Swift also announced her 11th album, The Tortured Poets Department.

By The Numbers: Taylor Swift's 6 Nights In Canada Tour

By David Farrell

The Taylor Swift Eras tour is a logistics juggernaut and has earned almost unanimous praise for its intricate spectacle as the 12-time Grammy winner woos her fans with a 3-hour, 44-song set that trips down a memory road spanning a 17-year career.

In total, the Eras tour - which commenced on March 17 in Glendale, Ca., and winds up in Nov. 2024 at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, includes 146 shows across five continents.

It is unquestionably the biggest, most expensive tour undertaken, and the reward is equally the biggest with The Wall Street Journal speculating that Eras is on track to become the biggest in concert history with a potential gross of over US$1B and Pollstar suggesting ticket stub sales could top $1.4B. According to Bloomberg News , the reported per-show ticket average for US shows is $13.6$49 and $449, with VIP packages starting at $199.

advertisement

Swift and Messina Touring Group, an Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) partner, would have invested millions of dollars in pre-show logistics, staging and rehearsals before a single ticket was sold.

The ticket prices affixed to this story are generalized and logically a great number are sold on the web by companies other than Ticketmaster. The initial round of ticket prices released in Canada can be described as exorbitant; however, so long as fans are prepared to pay sky-high prices it's a case of market demand, and until fans balk at purchasing tickets the prices will continue to escalate. It should be noted, too, that ticket pricing is usually done with the consent of the artist's management team, but it's Ticketmaster that takes the heat.

Below are some facts and figures about the Eras tour with source credits at the foot of the collection.

Average posted Ticketmaster show price (based on US figures) – $49 and $449 , with VIP packages starting at $199 and going up to $899. Of course, with demand exceeding supply expect the actual cost per ticket to be way, way more.

Full cast of 'Beautiful Scars' onstage

The world premiere of the musical adaptation of the Junkhouse, Blackie and the Rodeo Kings and Lee Harvey Osmond songwriter's best-selling memoir about discovering his Indigenous identity begins a run in Hamilton on April 26.

Tonight (Friday, April 26) marks the official world premiere of Beautiful Scars, a musical based upon Tom Wilson’s best-selling 2017 memoir, Beautiful Scars: Steeltown Secrets, Mohawk Skywalkers and the Road Home . The play is being staged by Theatre Aquarius in Hamilton, Ontario, the hometown of Wilson, the charismatic rock-roots singer/songwriter, visual artist and author well-known on the Canadian music scene for his work in Junkhouse, Blackie and the Rodeo Kings and Lee Harvey Osmond.

The launch of the play has been keenly-anticipated, not just locally but beyond. Canadian literary icon Margaret Atwood visited Tom Wilson during rehearsals for the play, and many Wilson friends and fans from Toronto made the trek to Hamilton for the first preview show on Wednesday, one attended by Billboard Canada .

Wilson’s critically-acclaimed autobiography has already been adapted into a 2022 full-length film documentary of the same name, written and directed by Shane Belcourt. It premiered at the 2022 Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival where it was one of the top ten films in the Hot Docs Audience Award race. It received a Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Biography or Arts Documentary Program or Series in 2003.

Beautiful Scars is also the title of a 2015 album released by Tom Wilson’s solo project, Lee Harvey Osmond, and one of its songs, “Blue Moon Drive,” is now reprised in Beautiful Scars , the play.

Wilson had a very hands-on role in the creation of the play, and is credited as its playwright and co-creator, alongside noted playwright/actor Shaun Smyth ( Playing With Fire ). Its journey to the stage has not been an easy one, with a change in director being one obstacle. It is now helmed by Mary Francis Moore, who is also the Artistic Director of Theatre Aquarius.

In a recent interview I did with Moore for Hamilton City Magazine , Moore recalled that “My brother bought the book for me for Christmas when it was first published, and I loved it. I worked at another theatre at the time. I found Tom on social media and reached out to him, saying ‘I think the book is spectacular. Would you consider adapting it for a musical for my theatre?’ He wrote back to me, saying ‘I am already doing that, with Shaun Smyth at Theatre Aquarius.’ I had taught at Aquarius but was not in a position to develop a new work here. I thought ‘that’s great, but too bad for me!’”

As fate would have it, Moore later landed her current position at Theatre Aquarius, and, with Wilson’s blessing, took the reins of the project.

Tom Wilson may be something of a multi-media renaissance man, but theatre was not previously part of his artistic arsenal. “I am on a learning curve,” he admitted. “For the first two years of this process, I’d joke that I don’t actually know anything about the theatre. I’d also joke that I kept my backpack really close to me in case I’d be asked to leave so I didn’t have to pack things up!”

Tom Wilson’s deep involvement in the play did not extend to portraying himself onstage, however. “I know how to act up, but I just can’t act,” he confesses, with a deep chuckle. Intriguingly, his son and co-songwriter Thompson Wilson does appear in the play, as the younger Tom, in both a singing and acting role. This is Thompson’s theatrical debut, but, with the exception of musician Phil Davis (billed as Indigenous Collaborator), the rest of the seven-person cast comprises seasoned and acclaimed actors. Taking the crucial role of Tom Wilson is Sheldon Elter.

As with the original memoir, the essence of Beautiful Scars , the play, is Tom Wilson’s discovery, in his late-50s, that he was born to a young Mohawk woman from the Kahnawake community. Thanks to a fiercely guarded family secret, he grew up in Hamilton believing that his non-Indigenous adoptive parents, George and Bunny Wilson, were his real parents.

The revelation of his true heritage had a life-changing impact on Wilson, who has now reconnected with his birth mother, explored his Mohawk culture, and become a passionate advocate for Indigenous issues and the need for true reconciliation with Canada’s settler population. This evolution is being further explored in a second memoir Wilson is now completing for Penguin Random House.

In the musical, Wilson’s extraordinary life journey is told through a combination of narrative passages and renditions of songs he wrote and recorded with Junkhouse, Blackie and the Rodeo Kings and Lee Harvey Osmond. These tunes are sung by different cast members, with some featuring the full ensemble, with Junkhouse classic "Out Of My Head" playing a pivotal role in the play.

A talented backing band comprises drummer Gary Craig (Bruce Cockburn, Blackie and the Rodeo Kings), guitarist David Gray (Parachute Club) and bassist Anna Ruddick, under the musical direction of Bob Foster.

Of note are two new original songs co-written by Wilson, “Death Row Love Affair” and “Standing The Line.” The latter number is co-written with fellow Hamilton luminaries Daniel Lanois and Terra Lightfoot, and it provides a show-stopping and triumphant finale to the musical.

Beautiful Scars runs at Theatre Aquarius, 190 King William St., Hamilton, from April 24 to May 11. Tickets are available here or by calling 905-522-7529

Taylor Swift coming to Toronto for six shows at Rogers Centre

By Michael Ranger

Posted August 3, 2023 10:05 am.

Last Updated August 3, 2023 5:26 pm.

Canadian Swifties rejoice, Taylor Swift is bringing her latest tour north of the border after all.

The pop superstar announced Thursday she will be performing six shows in Toronto as part of her Eras Tour. Rogers Communications is presenting Swift’s six Toronto dates with three shows at Rogers Centre from Nov. 14-16, 2024, and then three more shows at the venue the following week from Nov. 21-23, 2024.

Turns out it’s NOT the end of an era ???? Miami, New Orleans, Indy and Toronto: The Eras Tour is coming to you in 2024 with @gracieabrams ! Verified fan registration for all shows is open now – visit https://t.co/xw6YMN3GMc for more information pic.twitter.com/DCgFQb2U22 — Taylor Swift (@taylorswift13) August 3, 2023

“We’re thrilled that fans will enjoy six unforgettable shows with Taylor Swift,” says Terrie Tweddle, Chief Brand and Communications Officer for Rogers.

The upcoming dates will make Swift the first artist ever to perform a six-show stint at the downtown Toronto stadium. It will also mark her first Canadian tour dates since 2018.

The American singer made headlines earlier this year when there were initially no Canadian dates announced as part of her international tour. The perceived snub even prompted a personal invitation from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and saw an MP file an “official” grievance “ in the House of Commons “on behalf of all Swifties” in the country.

“Like millions of other Canadians, we’re fans of Taylor Swift and saw the national conversation where Swifties were wondering if she was coming to Canada. We reached out to her tour promoter, highlighted Rogers Centre as a world class venue and the partnership formed from there! We can’t wait to host Taylor for six big shows at Rogers Centre in 2024,” Tony Staffieri, President and CEO of Rogers Communications, says.

Verified fan registration is now open for the Toronto dates and fans can register until Saturday at 5 p.m. Tickets go on sale on Wednesday, Aug. 9, and only fans that receive an email confirming their access will be able to join the queue for the Verified Fan Onsale. More information can be found here .

Minutes after the announcement went live, Ticketmaster reported “heavy traffic” on their Verified Fan webpage, which the platform says is meant as a protective measure against online scalper bots.

Swift began her Eras tour earlier this year, performing songs from her chart-topping career against the backdrop of an elaborate stage design for each album.

The U.S. leg of the tour kicked off in March and wraps up this week with six sold-out shows in Los Angeles. The international leg of the tour begins in late August and continues well into next year with stops in Mexico, South America, Asia, Australia and Europe.

The Toronto shows will take place at a new-look Rogers Centre. The stadium underwent significant renovations this past winter with another round of renos to lower bowl seating expected to be completed before the Toronto Blue Jays kick off their 2024 season next April.

Taylor Swift Toronto tickets are already being listed for thousands of dollars

A selection of Taylor Swift tickets for Toronto dates with hefty price tags are already on sale days ahead of the official Ticketmaster release.

Just a day ago, the pop icon announced she is finally stopping in Canada for a six-show stint in November 2024, after initially skipping the country for the second leg of her Eras Tour.

Her concerts are set to take place at the Rogers Centre’s more than 50,000 seat-capacity stadium on Nov. 14, 15, and 16, followed by Nov 21, 22, and 23.

Tickets for the shows, still well over a year away, will go on sale on Wednesday, with only verified fan registration open at this point in time.

However, on the ticket reseller website StubHub, tickets for all six shows are already posted – and the prices are extraordinary.

The cheapest ticket available was just under $2,000 to sit in a 500-level seat while section 100-level tickets near $10,000. The highest ticket value for a ground level ticket was more than $13,200.

The question is – how are these tickets for sale before the official release?

A Ticketmaster spokesperson told CTV News Toronto that no tickets are sold before the Eras Tour verified fan sale begins.

rogers centre eras tour prices

“Those speculative listings are not real tickets that the seller actually owns,” Ticketmaster’s website states.

Canadian music commentator Eric Alper said it could be the case that scalpers are crossing their fingers and hoping that the tickets they were promised in a specific section will actually come to fruition.

Or, they could belong to Rogers Centre season ticket holders who have pre-sale access to events at the venue, which Alper said happens 99.9 per cent of the time.

He said tickets usually pop up on StubHub before their official release – but only now, concert-goers are talking about it because of the unprecedented demand for Swift’s Eras Tour.

rogers centre eras tour prices

If the tickets turn out to be fake, StubHub may in their “sole discretion” attempt to locate replacement tickets or provide a full refund, according to the company’s website. CTV News Toronto reached out to StubHub but received no response before publication.

As for the sky-high prices, Eras Tour fans are spending on average U.S. $1,300 – equivalent to more than $1,700 in Canada – on tickets, merchandise, alcohol, food and parking.

“We ain’t seen nothing yet,” Alper said.

Music fans won't get a break on concert ticket prices in 2024, according to experts

Economists and industry executives say costs will stay high, due to inflation and the pandemic.

rogers centre eras tour prices

Social Sharing

When the World Health Organization ended the global COVID-19 emergency nearly a year ago, 2023 became the first official post-pandemic year for concerts. With a number of artists' tours in full swing, ticket prices for shows to see Taylor Swift, Beyoncé and Drake soared, ranging from hundreds to thousands of dollars.

In August, when Swift announced Canadian dates for her Eras tour, prices for tickets in the upper bowl of Toronto's Rogers Centre ranged from $160 to $200, according to the Toronto Star . Resale prices for the stadium shows are much higher, with companies such as StubHub now selling upper bowl seats for upwards of $2,000 .

  • 'If it's too good to be true, it likely is,' police warn amid reports of Taylor Swift concert ticket scam
  • Taylor Swift expected to bring 'significant' economic boon to Vancouver

For floor tickets to Beyoncé's Formation tour at the Rogers Centre in 2016, the resale price was around $330. But seven years and a pandemic later, for a floor seat in the same venue during her Renaissance tour stops, the resale cost was  more than $1,000 .

  • Commotion Discussing Crazy in Love's impact 20 years later

This year, music fans can expect similarly high pricing for shows from established artists.

Inflation, pent-up demand factor into higher costs

"Ticket prices are no exception when it comes to [the] inflation that we're seeing," said Trevin Stratton, an economic advisory leader at Deloitte Canada.

Canada's annual inflation rate came in at 3.1 per cent in November 2023 , with high mortgage interest rates and rent costs being two of the major contributors. In December, it rose to 3.4 per cent . By comparison, in 2019, Canada's annual inflation rate was 1.9 per cent , and the average price of concert tickets has risen by 17.8 per cent since then, according to a 2022 Pollstar report .

"Considering the fact that households are feeling the pinch of higher interest rates, I think it's more likely that [consumers] are picking and choosing to spend on experiences at the expense of another category of spending," said RBC economist Carrie Freestone. "Canadians are very obviously still willing to spend on entertainment," she said, adding that they might "pull back" in other areas to put money aside for events such as concerts.

"Canadians have been, since lockdowns were lifted, prioritizing discretionary service sector spending and obviously events and concert tickets fall into that," she said. "And, when you see things like very expensive concert tickets all selling out immediately, you know, there's that pent-up demand."

That demand has put a "kind of upward pressure on concert prices" that has not yet subsided, Stratton said.

Trucking costs, fuel costs are up, venue costs are up. Everything is more expensive than it's ever been. - Paul Biro

"There are a lot of artists that were unable to tour during the pandemic as well, and they all wanted to start touring again at the same time," he said. "But of course, there was limited venue space, at least in large arenas and stadiums, and so that caused prices to go up as well in terms of venues [experiencing] higher demand for artists to use their spaces. And so they were able to charge higher prices because of that, too."

Paul Biro is the president and operating partner of Sakamoto Agency, a company that does booking, promotion and artist representation in Canada. He said he does not think that high-end ticket prices will drop this year because live shows generate more engagement with artists' music than any other method.

"So, the more people they can get in front of, the better, and ticket prices relate to that," he said. "I think that you're going to see the bigger artists that have the ability to sell, maximize their revenue return [because they're] still trying to make up for [their] loss during COVID."

"We can't believe how much, post-COVID, our production costs are," Biro said. "Trucking costs, fuel costs are up, venue costs are up. Everything is more expensive than it's ever been."

Aaron Goodvin, a Juno-nominated country singer on Sakamoto's roster, said that current ticket prices are reflective of a higher cost of living. Before the pandemic, a tour bus could be rented for around $1,500 a day. Now, he says, the cost is closer to $2,500, meaning ticket prices have to be higher, too. "So, then what ends up happening is we have to jack the ticket prices just to get a guarantee that there's a good enough [profit] for us to make it worthwhile."

Stratton said artists typically need to fill at least 80 per cent of a venue to break even, which means "sometimes their hands are tied in terms of how low they can actually charge for tickets."

Goodvin adds that ticket prices are also reflective of paying touring band members and crew properly. "I think the hardest part of it is, it's not just me."

Biro said that ultimately, artists set the ticket prices, and the total cost of a concert ticket can be broken down as follows: the artist (and by extension, their crew, dancers, etc.) takes a cut; the venue takes a cut; and the promoter takes a cut. For an established artist, the standard for a promoter to take is 10 per cent, which Biro said is only a small portion of the overall ticket price.

"So, really, sometimes on some of these big shows, our take-home as promoters isn't outrageously huge either," Biro adds. "And it's a lot of work to put on one show, let alone a tour of 25 or 30 dates. So I don't think that's where the money's going and I think that ticketing fees take up a lot of it."

Ticket fees and dynamic pricing also to blame

In 2019, the Canadian Competition Bureau penalized Ticketmaster, a subsidiary of Live Nation, the largest concert promoter in the world, after finding that the additional fees (including the service, order processing and delivery fees) often added more than 20 per cent — and in certain cases, more than 65 per cent — to the cost of a ticket compared to its advertised price.

In a November 2023 statement , Ticketmaster told CBC News that the company typically only keeps about five per cent of a ticket's overall value. In June of the same year, Ticketmaster announced it would be unveiling all-in pricing  in the U.S., which displays all the fees upfront. The company has had all-in pricing in Canada since 2018.

The company also uses a dynamic pricing model under which ticket prices fluctuate based on demand. However, it's artists and their teams who decide if they want to use dynamic pricing for their ticket sales.

Some artists, such as Pearl Jam ,  Zach Bryan and the Cure, have been critical of the company's extra fees and dynamic pricing structure. Last March, the Cure's frontman, Robert Smith, called out Ticketmaster after finding out fans paid high fees on top of their original ticket price, after the band refused to use dynamic pricing and kept ticket prices as low as $20. Ticketmaster eventually refunded some of the fees.

"Overall demand for concerts and live events continues to soar," Ticketmaster told CBC Music in a statement. "While Ticketmaster does not set prices, we know that artists consistently price tickets to make them more accessible for fans — with the majority under $100 and only two per cent over $500. That's far below what scalpers are charging, as resale is commonly two times the original price."

Art and creativity should be for everybody, it shouldn't just be for those people that can see [a] show because they've got a lot of money. - Paul Biro

"In some ways, you know, people that are trying to buy tickets to go to a concert are competing with resellers to buy tickets when it comes to the initial release of tickets as well, and then those resellers are able to sell them at a higher price when it comes to dynamic pricing," Stratton said. "And that's obviously increasing demand for tickets and also changing the pricing structure for tickets as well, which is having an impact."

"At the end of the day, the artist makes a decision and artist management makes a decision: 'This is what we'll play for,'" Biro said. "And then it's presented to us as a promoter and we either do it or don't, and the reason why we don't sometimes is because we think that the asking price is so high, that the ticket price will have to be so high that the average consumer can't do it."

"Art and creativity should be for everybody," he added, "it shouldn't just be for those people that can see [a] show because they've got a lot of money."

Taylor Swift on stage rehearsing for The Eras Tour.

It's been a long time coming but Taylor Swift is finally bringing her career-spanning tour to Canada and tickets are on sale now.

Some people have even been able to find ticket prices for The Eras Tour in Toronto that are under $200!

It was revealed at the beginning of August that the pop star would be adding more dates to the global tour, including what seems to be the only stops in Canada.

"Turns out it's NOT the end of an era," she said in the post announcing the additional tour dates .

Swift will be playing six shows at the Rogers Centre in 2024 that span two weekends: November 14, November 15 and November 16, and then November 21, November 22 and November 23.

Singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams will be the opening act for all of the concerts in Toronto.

Here's what you need to know if you're looking to buy tickets through the Ticketmaster Verified Fan Onsale that's going on right now for the Toronto shows.

See on Instagram

There are different Ticketmaster Verified Fan Onsale dates and times for each show that Swift is doing in Toronto

The November 14 show is on sale starting at 11 a.m. ET and the concert on November 15 is on sale at 1 p.m. ET on August 9, 2023.

For the shows on November 16 and November 21, tickets are available with the Verified Fan Onsale starting at 11 a.m. ET and 1 p.m. ET respectively on August 10, 2023.

Then, the November 22 show goes on sale with Ticketmaster at 11 a.m. ET and the concert on November 23 is on sale starting at 1 p.m. ET on August 11, 2023.

Also, the RBC Avion Rewards Onsale starts on Friday, August 18, 2023, at 1 p.m. ET.

Eras Tour ticket prices for Toronto vary depending on the section — like floor, 100s, 200s, 500s, and so on — the seats are inside the Rogers Centre.

People have been sharing how much they've bought tickets for and what they've seen seats being sold for while in the Ticketmaster Verified Fan Onsale.

Ashley Juve posted that they secured tickets for the first Eras Tour show in Toronto at $400 each in the 100 level.

@ceIestewright, who bought tickets for the first show in Toronto, posted that they paid $400 for seats in the 100 section as well.

One person posted that someone who got a Verified Fan Onsale code said there were no tickets for less than $160 in the 500 section, and that they paid $1,500 for four seats in the 200s.

They also shared that they saw Toronto Eras Tour prices at $530 to $600 for floor seats and $375 for tickets in the 200 level.

Another fan said that someone bought a ticket in the 500 section of the Rogers Centre for $170.

Alicia Carpenter echoed that pricing and said they paid $170 each for seats in the 500s, without service fees or taxes.

Danielle Millar shared a photo of prices on Ticketmaster for the 100s — specifically section 125, row three — and it costs $419 per ticket for "Verified Fan Aisle Seats" and $399 per ticket for "Verified Fan Offer" seats.

Service fees were $92.18 and $87.87 respectively for those tickets.

Another person shared a photo of the prices for the tickets they bought and it cost $399 for each ticket section 126 at the Rogers Centre.

Since they purchased four tickets, the total including fees was more than $1,900!

@WearySky posted that the ticket-buying process "was actually super smooth."

After going to the link that was sent out by Ticketmaster at 10:05 a.m., they refreshed the page until they were able to join the waiting room at 10:28 a.m.

Then, it only took 15 minutes of waiting in the queue before they were able to go into the sale and buy tickets for the first Toronto show.

For other shows on Swift's Eras Tour , VIP packages have been available for purchase and that seems to be the case for Toronto shows as well.

These six VIP packages are being sold for concerts in other cities: It's Been A Long Time Coming Package, Karma Is My Boyfriend Package, I Remember It All Too Well Package, Ready For It Package, It's A Love Story Package and We Never Go Out of Style Package.

What you get with each package varies but most include a set of Taylor Swift prints, exclusive merchandise, a commemorative The Eras Tour VIP tote bag, a collectible Taylor Swift pin, sticker and postcard set with a souvenir concert ticket and a special VIP tour laminate and matching lanyard.

Some of the VIP packages also offer early entry and first access to your section.

If you're on the hunt for Toronto Eras Tour tickets, good luck!

Only some people got selected to receive codes for the Verified Fan Onsale through Ticketmaster and buy tickets for the shows.

Fans who are on the waitlist were told by Ticketmaster that it was because "there won't be enough tickets for everyone who registered."

But you could get selected to move off the waitlist and access the sale if any tickets are left.

In that case, you'll get a text with a unique access code and link to join the Verified Fan Onsale.

The only way to enter the queue, join the sale and actually buy tickets to The Eras Tour right now is to have a code so if you try to get in without one, you'll be out of luck.

Ticketmaster noted that codes can't be transferred and your access code to the sale is unique to your individual account.

Even then, not everyone will be able to score a seat at the six shows Swift is doing here but you could still be able to listen in. That is if you're willing to brave November weather in Canada!

Fans have crashed The Eras Tour by gathering in parking lots and other public spaces around stadiums during the concert to sing and dance along with the show.

Taylor Swift fans curse out Ticketmaster over expensive Toronto Eras Tour ticket prices

Latest Videos

The first exclusive batch of tickets for Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in Toronto dropped on Wednesday morning, and fans are already cursing out Ticketmaster for attaching hefty price tags to the high-demand seats.

After the six-show run at the Rogers Centre was announced, Ticketmaster revealed that only a "limited number of registered Verified Fans" would receive a unique access code to buy tickets, with all other Swifties placed on a waitlist .

According to Ticketmaster, waitlisted fans will receive a text with a unique access code and link to join the Verified Fan Onsale only if they are selected to move off the waitlist.

The Eras Tour has already been marked with lots of drama, from crashing Ticketmaster's website back in November 2022, to Swifties begging the American singer-songwriter to bring her stadium tour to Canada , to anger over the waitlist process, to now exorbitant resale ticket prices.

Starting on Wednesday at 11 a.m., thousands of lucky Toronto Swifties flocked to Ticketmaster's website to purchase coveted seats for the tour in November 2024.

Some even enlisted the help of their parents, siblings, friends, loved ones, and coworkers to sign up for the Verified Fan Onsale in hopes of receiving a unique access code.

If prices in other cities are any indication, resale tickets are expected to range in price from $800 to a mind-boggling $10,000 , based on what similar seats have sold for in other jurisdictions.

For now, waitlisted fans will have to patiently wait to see if they will receive a unique access code for any of the Eras Tour shows planned between Nov. 14-16 and Nov. 21-23, 2024.

RBC is also an official sponsor of the Eras Tour concerts in Toronto, and has an allocation of tickets that will be exclusively available to members of the bank's Avion Rewards program. Selected members will be contacted by Ticketmaster on or before Aug. 15 for a chance to purchase a maximum of four tickets.

This year, the billionaire will only visit three U.S. cities – Miami, New Orleans and Indianapolis – and prices for the in-demand shows are astronomical . For the Oct. 18 show in Miami, for example, cost of a single ticket ranged between $1,615 and $8,524 on StubHub.com as of Wednesday afternoon.

So, how else can fans see one of the world’s biggest singers? Go abroad .

In the past 30 days, searches for ‘Taylor Swift Europe tour 2024 tickets’ have increased by 300% in the U.S., indicating that some people are ready to take a long-haul flight to see the wildly popular artist live, according to travel website Islands.com .

Concert-goers who head to Europe for their Swift experience may actually save more money in the long-run . Not only are ticket prices across the pond cheaper, but many European cities, like Warsaw and Lisbon, are also budget-friendly, offering inexpensive food and lodging.

Was the travel worth it? Beyoncé and Taylor Swift's summer concerts drew fans from afar

To determine the most affordable Eras Tour stops, Islands.com researchers compared the cost of a two-night trip, including one cheap ticket on StubHub.com, two nights at a four-star hotel, six inexpensive meals, two five-mile taxi rides, and one domestic beer. However, researchers didn’t account for airline tickets or concert merchandise.

With safety at the top of travelers' minds, the researchers also factored in the city’s safety rating out of 100.

To stay extra safe, the State Department encourages travelers to register with the U.S. embassy in the country they're visiting any time they travel abroad. That can be done at step.state.gov .
