the NOT TONIGHT tour: “if it was you” acoustic + fan favorites

We’ve been teasing what we’re going to do next year for a while now, and we’re finally ready to tell you. Although we have ten albums, the first one that truly set our band on its way was “If It Was You.” The album came out in August of 2002, when we were just shy of turning twenty-two years old.  Writing the album we had painstakingly learned Pro Tools so we could record ourselves and have a bigger hand in how our 3rd album sounded when we got into the studio.The first song Sara wrote for the album was “Not Tonight.” She called me over to her apartment to help her record the demo. We doubled up the guitars and vocals and panned them all left and right. We thought we were geniuses! LOL! That night, sprawled in front of the speakers of my stereo at home, I listened with headphones again and again and again. I finally felt like we were getting close to sounding like the band I heard in my head.

Songs like “Monday, Monday, Monday” and “I Hear Noises” would go on to live in our set list for years after the release of the album.  But some of the songs we almost never played live. And we certainly never played the album from start to finish. BUT, next year we will!

Tickets for the “Not Tonight” tour go on sale this Friday. The presale launches Wednesday. We’ll be playing “If It Was You” acoustic, as well as a set of songs from all our albums. We’ll be joined by Becca Mancari on the tour! We are limiting our touring next year, so don’t sleep on this run of shows.

I just saw her perform at the Mill Town Music Hall last night. Good show, but beware, she did NOT play “I Could Not Ask For More,” which I think is her top song. I didn’t mind the cover songs, but not at the expense of her biggest hit. Very disappointed.

Sara Evans and her band put on a great show. This was the first time I have ever hear her sing in person. What an amazing voice. The vocals with her sister Leslie were beautiful. I would highly recommend seeing her. I hope I will have the chance to see her in person again. New big fan.

Sara was beyond 'good'. She was amazing!! What a beautiful voice! She did an excellent job of mixing her original songs with Christmas tunes. She's a down-to-earth person with family values...no doubt! I would not hesitate to see her again! Thank you, Sara, for a very enjoyable evening in small-town Indiana. God bless! :)

Anyone But You finally made its Netflix streaming debut, which is exciting news for rom-com fans everywhere. As you watch the movie, you might be wondering where Anyone But You was filmed and if you can visit the breathtaking beaches, cliffs, and other locations in real life.

Loosely adapted from Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing,” Anyone But You stars Glen Powell as Ben, a finance bro who has an incredible first date with Bea (Sydney Sweeney), a law student uncertain about her career. After spending the night, Bea panics and leaves without telling him. When she realizes she made a mistake and returns to his apartment, she overhears Ben saying that she is a “nothing” to him.

Years later, they unexpectedly reunite at a destination wedding in Australia for Bea’s sister, who is marrying Ben’s friend. When their exes show up, they pretend to be a couple—and the rest is history. The film was directed and co-written by Will Gluck, the filmmaker behind rom-coms like Easy A and Friends with Benefits . It was released in December and had an impressive run at the box office, surpassing $88 million domestically and $219 million worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo .

After its release, the movie went viral on TikTok as audience goers reacted to the film’s credit sequence, which features the cast dancing and singing to Natasha Bedingfield’s nostalgic 2004 hit “Unwritten,” a song highlighted throughout the film. There were also rumors of an off-screen romance between Powell and Sweeney that helped promote the film, as well as the actors’ flirty publicity tour and Sydney Sweeney’s SNL monologue .

Now, Anyone But You is back in the limelight after the film was released on Netflix on April 23, quickly becoming the No. 1 movie on the platform in the U.S. after just one day.

Anyone But You was filmed in parts of Australia around New South Wales and Sydney. Director Will Gluck told The Hollywood Reporter that he wanted the film set in Sydney because he had “really fallen in love with the city” and liked it so much he moved his family there.

“Almost every time you shoot a movie in Sydney, you have to pretend it’s somewhere else and frame out the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. For Anyone But You , I thought, “Why do that?” We actually wrote this movie 100 percent for Sydney — very specific to the destination,” Gluck wrote.

The director continued, “We flew helicopters all over — seeing the city from that vantage point is stunning — and landed one at the Opera House, shut down the Harbour Bridge, filmed at the Queen Victoria Building, and shot for two weeks overlooking Bondi Beach,” he said. “We spent a week on a boat in Sydney Harbour shooting a scene where they’re stranded on a buoy, but you can’t have humans in the water without a shark cage, so we had to have one the whole time. You pinch yourself. It’s so unbelievable we were actually doing these things.”

The Sydney Opera House is a focal point in Anyone But You. The 20th-century architectural landmark serves as a gorgeous backdrop for big moments, including the end scene when Ben passionately kisses Bea, who is standing at the top of the steps. You can visit the performing arts center for special events and tours.

Marks Park, Bondi

Located in Sydney's northern suburbs, the wedding scene in Anyone But You was filmed at Marks Park overlooking Bondi Beach and the Pacific Ocean. The cliff-top park is open to the public and has fitness stations, a playground, and some shaded areas.

Many of Anyone But You ’s breathtaking beach scenes were filmed around Palm Beach. Director Will Gluck told THR that one of the best parts of filming was on location in Palm Beach, a suburb in the Northern Beaches.

“Our caravans were parked right on the water, and Glen and Sydney and I decided to live there the whole time. We’d shoot all day and all the crew would go home, then we’d jump in the water and have a swim, go to our trailers and have dinner sitting outside,” he said. “It’s one of the most beautiful places in the world, and you normally wouldn’t be allowed to sleep there. It was probably the most fun I’ve ever had filming.”

The historic Jones Bay Wharf is another familiar filming location in Anyone But You. The hidden gem in the Pyrmont district is home to fine dining restaurants, charming cafes, and beautiful views the of the city and Harbour Bridge.

While on their way to collect flowers for the wedding, Ben and his friend Pete are seen walking alongside the Queen Victoria Building. The Romanesque 19th-century building is actually a five-level shopping center with fashion boutiques, jewelry stores, cafes, and restaurants.

Arkells Announce 2024 Canadian Tour with Joel Plaskett Emergency, Valley and More

Arkells have revealed that they'll embark on a sprawling coast-to-coast tour of Canada this fall with star-studded support in tow. 

The pop-rock outfit will kick off the trek on the East Coast with local heroes Joel Plaskett Emergency joining them in Halifax (October 18) and Moncton (October 19) before they move on to six dates in Ontario, Saskatchewan and Alberta with Poolside . After a brief hiatus, they'll continue to BC, starting with Kelowna (November 14) ahead of shows in Vancouver (November 15) and Victoria (November 16) supported by K.Flay . Finally, they'll round out the tour in Ontario with Valley , closing in Kitchener on November 30. 

The band have notably excluded their hometown of Hamilton, as well as Toronto, but they do have a pair of shows lined up at Budweiser Stage this summer with Tegan and Sara and Grouplove .

They'll also preface the tour by joining Nickelback at the Churchill Park Music Festival in St. John's, NL, this August. Find tickets at the Arkells' site and check out their busy upcoming itinerary below.

Golfer Jon Rahm became the World Number 1 in the Official World Golf Ranking in July 2020 and was in the top spot in World Amateur Golf Ranking for 60 weeks straight. In December 2019, Rahm married Kelley Cahill. Cahill met Rahm while they were attending Arizona State University.

While Rahm was playing golf at Arizona State, Cahill was competing in javelin. The two bonded over their love of sports, but one tennis match almost destroyed them. "He was so good. I was so upset. I was actually mad for a day or two. We have not stepped foot on a tennis court since," Cahill said to The Sun .

Justin Thomas And Jillian Wisniewski

Justin Thomas has made a name for himself in the world of golf. His breakout year was in 2017 when he won five PGA Tour events, including the PGA Championship and the FedEx Cup. He began dating his girlfriend Jillian Wisniewski in 2016.

Adam Scott And Marie Kojzar

Australian golfer Adam Scott is one of the highest-ranked players in the PGA. The 40-year-old has won 31 professional tournaments throughout his career with the biggest being the 2013 Masters Tournament. He has been married to a Swedish architect named Marie Kozjar since April of 2014.

The couple started dating in the early 2000s, but were separated for a while and rekindled their love in 2013. Their wedding took place in the Bahamas and they are the parents to three children together.

Patrick Reed And Justine Karain

Patrick Reed picked up the nickname "Captain America" after his stellar performance in the Ryder Cup. He placed first in the 2018 Masters and fourth in the 2018 U.S. Open. He married Justine Karain on December 21, 2012. She used to be his caddy but stepped down after giving birth to their daughter, Windsor-Wells.

There was some tension in the family when Reed announced he was going to marry her. He did not invite his parents or sister to the wedding and tells security to escort his family out if they show up at his tournaments.

Dustin Johnson And Paulina Gretzky

Insider states that Dustin Johnson has at least one win in each of the previous 12 seasons on the PGA Tour. He was the first golfer to win each of the four World Golf Championship events.

Some sports fans may know his fiancée, Paulina Gretzky, because her father is former NHL star Wayne Gretzky. Paulina met Dustin in 2009, but the pair didn't start dating until four years later. They have two young sons named Tatum and River.

Xander Schauffele And Maya Lowe

Xander Schauffele has mostly stood in the shadows during his career, but actually has some impressive wins. During his first 11 career majors, he finished in the top six at least five times. One person who has stood at his side for a large part of his career is girlfriend Maya Lowe.

Collin Morikawa started his PGA Tour career with 22 consecutive made cuts. His wife is fellow golfer Katherine Zhu.

Morikawa credits Zhu for allowing him to play his best, "I am very lucky to have her. Kat has been by my side through it all. She would hate me if I didn't say this, but I didn't start winning in college until she showed up in my life, so thanks Kat," he told Golf Digest .

Tyrrell Hatton And Emily Braisher

Tyrrell Hatton is an English professional golfer who has won the European Tour multiple times and won the 2020 Arnold Palmer Invitational during the PGA Tour.

He's married to Emily Braisher, and they wed in 2021.. She is often seen at Hatton's tournaments and writes a blog about her touring experience called Wife on Tour .

Tony Finau And Alayna Finau

Although Tony Finau received college scholarship offers for basketball, he turned them down to pursue his true passion of golf. Finau made history by becoming the first person of Tongan and Samoan descent to play in the PGA Tour. He also has some cousins who are famous athletes including NBA player Jabari Parker and former NFL star Haloti Ngata.

He is married to Alayna Finau and the couple are the proud parents of five children. They love being parents so much that are looking to expand their family even more. "We'll probably do five or six. We come from big families," they said to The U.S. Sun .
