Radium wilderness tour.

Trip Length 1.5 Hours

Join us for this one-of-a-kind experience. After parking just follow the signs to our training course area to meet your awesome guide. After a short training session, your professional guide will lead you through the picturesque trail system located along the Kootenay National Park border. The tour crosses a variety of terrain and you’ll make some stops along the way for photos and interpretation. No experience is required for this fun off-road adventure. Make sure you dress for the weather and are prepared to be outside for 1.5 Hours.

Please note that tours are subject to weather and trail conditions. Scootin’ Kootenay Tours reserves the right to cancel or postpone tours if conditions are not sufficient. Refunds will be issued accordingly with this policy.

• All guests must weigh between 90lbs and 260lbs
• Closed Toe Shoes are required
• Weather-appropriate clothes are required. Guests who do not dress appropriately will not be able to participate.

Excellent Segway tour through the woods

This was a very fun and informative Segway ride through the forest near radium. Mel was very attentive and excellent guide. The segways were easy to control and and the scenery was spectacular. Make sure you remember this location is in mountain time not pacific.

This was the first time I’ve used a Segway. I must say it was 100 times more fun then I could have imagined. I loved that we were surrounded by wilderness and our guide, Patrick, was so informative about the plant life. I highly recommend this tour at any time of year. I’d love to try it in the winter.

My husband and I booked a Segway tour, on arrival it was just us two! Patrick was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable about the local area. We really enjoyed our tour and riding the segways were great fun!

After an exhausting and busy summer I decided to give my staff a day off and do Scootin Kootenay. What a super fun day, all the staff loved it and we all had so many laughs. Patrick was an amazing guide and the segways are very stable and safe, a few of the staff were a little worried about falling off but after a short training everyone was zipping around with no problems at!!

For those of us who can no longer hike mountain trails this is the perfect way to get out and enjoy the great outdoors.If you can walk and chew bubble gum at the same time you can handle the Segway.This guided "hike" of approximately one hour takes you on logging trails that were abandoned over fifty years ago in an environmentally friendly manner to some of the most remote and peaceful places in the western foothills.Our guide Patrick was very knowledgeable in the history of the area and the native flora and fauna.We had fun,got some fresh air,learned something,saw some amazing scenery and got to ride a cool toy.Great way to let the kid in you get outside and play.
