If you love both Minecraft and Star Trek, consider looking into some (or all) of these mods.

Star Trek is one of the most popular and long-lived science fiction franchises in the world. It focuses on the United Federation of Planets and their myriad exploratory starships that seek out new life and new civilizations and boldly go where no one has gone before. The main ship in the series has always been the USS Enterprise, though there have been others such as the Voyager, the Discovery, and the space station Deep Space Nine.

There have already been several Star Trek video games developed and published in the past, but wouldn't it be great to feel like you're in the Star Trek universe while playing Minecraft ? That's where mods come in, and it brings the discussion to today's topic: Minecraft mods every Star Trek fan should try out.

10 Blue Line Pack

This first Minecraft mod isn't a Star Trek-specific alteration, but it is intended to give a science fiction aesthetic to the Minecraft GUI. It doesn't alter any other aspect of Minecraft, but it gives a subtle visual shift that can allow the player to feel like they're surviving in a futuristic sci-fi world.

This one has been updated for Minecraft version 1.16 and comes from Planet Minecraft user Defazan . It's still a work in progress for the developer, but it's really great.

This is another texture pack that isn't directly linked to the Star Trek Universe, but it is one that also can transform a player's Minecraft experience into one of futuristic wonder. The Genesis Texture Pack changes the world into something alien and beautiful. It may not be Star Trek, and it may vary from the overall Star Trek visual aesthetic in some ways. However, it's still gorgeous, alien, and definitely sci-fi-inspired.

Developer G3N3ZIS recommends using these with shaders, and the mod is updated for version 1.16. It can be found on Planet Minecraft .

8 Space Union Federation

This is the last non-Star Trek-specific mod on the list, though it is directly inspired by the science fiction aesthetics of Star Trek and Star Wars by the developer's own admission. This texture pack changes the appearance of items, blocks, armor, and even the GUI to make Minecraft feel like it takes place in a futuristic space-faring civilization.

This mod was updated for version 1.12.2 and was made by Planet Minecraft user Dr_Songgu_Rayn

7 U.S.S. Enterprise NCC 1701-D

This mod allows the player to have an entire Enterprise D in their videogame, with the textures of the blocks used to create the ship altered to make them resemble the surfaces and materials of the Enterprise. For those not in the know, the Enterprise-D was the version of the ship flying in The Next Generation.

This isn't a vast mod, but it's one that required hard work and dedication nonetheless. It was created back in 1.1, so how well it will function with later versions of the game is up in the air. It was crafted by Planet Minecraft user Nickv200 and can be found at this link .

6 Enterprise A

This texture pack delivers the Enterprise-A to the player. It only updates the textures for the ship itself, but it still brings a full replica of the USS Enterprise-A, which is the version of the ship that appeared in the Star Trek films, Voyage Home, Final Frontier, and Undiscovered Country.

This is another relatively small-scale texture pack, but it's still an impressive feat that can be shared with other Minecraft players. Developer VanquishGT last posted that it's still a work in progress, and that was in 2014. Plus, it was made for version 1.7.10. However, players can still download and build on their Enterprise and enjoy what is there through this link .

5 Original Series

This texture pack is inspired by the original Star Trek series, home of Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock, Lieutenant Uhura, and Dr. McCoy. It aims to capture the flashy coloring and relatively simple design that was phased out between the original series and Next Generation.

This one was created by Planet Minecraft user 14jroyer and was made for version 1.2.5 It is almost 10 years old. That said, if you want to check it out, it can be found at this link .

4 ChrisRyot's HD Star Trek

This is another Star Trek-inspired Texture Pack, this time from Planet Minecraft user ChrisRyot. It is a large visual overhaul that is inspired by the Star Trek: Elite Forces videogame. It is mostly complete and is designed to immerse the player into a Minecraft world that looks like a part of the United Federation of Planets.

This one was designed for version 1.8.9, so it is a little dated. Regardless, it can be found at Planet Minecraft .

3 A Touch Of Trek

A Touch of Trek is a large-scale visual overhaul made to resemble the world of the Star Trek Universe and to allow players to build their own versions of various items and ships from Star Trek. It uses the color palette that is already in Minecraft for the retextured surfaces , delivering a true aesthetic melding of Star Trek and Minecraft.

This resource pack has been updated for Minecraft 1.16.5 and was developed by Cygnus656. It can be found at this link .

2 Trek Craft

Trek Craft is a more comprehensive mod that builds upon the Touch of Trek resource pack and looks to integrate items, mobs, and weapons inspired by Star Trek into Minecraft. There's even a Borg Drone enemy ! That said, the Curse Forge account that uploaded this, Forge_User_09030964, has marked it abandoned, meaning it won't be receiving any more support.

Regardless, players can still check out what is already there through this link . The uploader also says that Trek Craft requires this mod library to use .

MineTrek isn't actually a mod, though it uses several mods to function. MineTrek is a Minecraft server that seeks to integrate the world and civilization of Star Trek into Minecraft. Server users aim to rebuild detailed replicas of the starships and structures from the Star Trek Universe

Hi I’m halkun, the guy who made this. I didn’t think this would go viral so quickly! It’s not even done and on top of that, the Minecraft servers are down so I can’t put it up… Some quick answers to some questions. Thanks for all the warm kudos. I’ll take some time to tell you guys about how I made the ship and what my plans are for it. I’ve always wanted to make a 1:1 scale model of the Enterprise-D. Even when I was a kid, I thought how cool it would be to build the ship and live in it. One project I embarked on about a year ago was to build a 1:1 scale model of the enterprise in Sketchup. I got pretty far too. Sadly, my hard drive blew and I lost six months of work. The only thing I had was my original framework and It was just too painful to start over. One of the things that was not lost was the deck plans and a nice computer-friendly vector format, converted from the Whitefire plans (Not the Okuda ones). The plans are pretty rough, but workable. One day I need to go through and clean them up. The Minecraft world uses 1m^3 blocks, ans so, I simply converted my already scaled plans into a format that minecraft could take and imported each deck in batch, leaving 4 spaces in between for walls. The original Enterprise is 642.5 Meters x 467.0 Meters x 137.5 Meters. This is about 3m per deck. Sadly, with the 1m deck you have to walk on, that only leaves 2m left over for hallway space. As your character is only 1.7m tall, you will be bumping your head around a lot. I decided to make the ship 22% bigger, so I could have 4 m per deck. That puts the final size @ 785m x 570m x 168m. I made my “pit” 800x600x180 to fit all 42 decks and almost made a critical error. Even though there are 42 decks on the enterprise, the 2nd deck is split into two half-decks, making actually 43. I made the pit bigger than she ship so I could have a little wiggle room and just missed making it too shallow. In my testing, the halls can get a little cramped. The current decks are just a guideline and framework. They don’t call it “Creative Mode” for nothing. The halls are going to be sand-obsidian-sand (To give that light brown look with the black touch panel in the center) I’d show a demo, but Minecraft is down. I would like to mod my server so that sand doesn’t fall. That would bee cool. I also don’t know how to fly yet, will be making it much easier to work on the ship. This is on a creative server. I would love to put it on Alpha, but Notch limits the game depth to 128m now, which is 40m too shallow. I’ll lose 10 decks. Maybe I can convince him to up the limit to 256m with the project There are still some things to work out. 1) I need to turn flying on. 2) I need to model and import the warp nacelles, just so I have the framework there. 3) I need to make a dirt floor so people can start building scaffolding from the bottom. (You can’t plant blocks on Adminium) 4) I would live to get rid of the Admininum walls. 5) I should put this online so people can help. I need to come up with a pretty solid ant-griefing policy and need many like-minded people so I don’t wind up with cocks in the shuttlebays.

Hello! Since I completed my 1:1 version of the Enterprise Refit seen in the first half of Beyond back in early September I have been eager to start working on a new project. So for the past few weeks, I have been working on a scale version of the Enterprise-A. I plan to also give this ship a full interior which I will attempt to design myself given that we have not seen this ship on screen yet. Thoughts?

WOW! I don't like this ship much in general (or any of the Kelvinverse Enterprise variants, for that matter), but this build is absolutely stunning! Did you build this in Creative Mode, or is there some block converter out there that takes a higher-poly mesh and turn it into MineCraft format? I tried doing a 1:1 WWII Yamato many years ago, back when MineCraft was still free - before it was bought by Microsoft and monetized - but never got beyond laying down the waterline. This is all that remains of my old project:

• Do not construct redstone mechanisms which use a clock (a pulse generator) as this will lag the server and degrade the building experience for everyone. This may be construed as griefing.
• Follow the Blueprints strictly in all areas. (Rar file here )
• Follow standard building methods in all common areas. Separate rooms not seen in the show give builders some creative license.
• Repair all hull, floor, and wall breaks exactly as they were (that is, using the same block.) You can use the middle mouse button to determine which block it was. If you cannot determine the block, get some help immediately from a capable builder. Floors, walls, and hull are completed and are not to be edited unless you find they contradict the Blueprints.
• Do not use doors of any type except in very rare cases (Ten Forward has double doors, for example.)
• You are building the ships as they were in the show. You are not personalizing it. This includes any "personal" quarters.
• Do not alter established deck layouts i.e. the "floor" of each deck. Don't change colours or move walls.
• Do not build on any project unless you have been cleared to do so by a Captain or above. This costs hours of corrective work and may result in a ban.
• Corridors (the main walkways within the ship) are made with Sand-Glowstone-Sand to look like the concentric hallways within the show. While the radial corridors are supposed to look octagonal, Minecraft's limits us to the same style for both types of corridors. All corridors within the ship are complete.
• Interior Walls (those not bordering a corridor and those within a room) are made with Sand-Jack'o'lantern-Sand. Make sure the "face" of the Jack'o'lantern is not visible by placing the block at an angle (the "face" will face you when you place it.) Jack'o'lanterns' other sides are textured the same as sand so that they may be used as a light source. If you have chosen to work on a large room, it is acceptable to divide it with interior walls as long as all the new sub-rooms are accessible in the scheme of the large room (do not create new corridor-accessible doorways unless absolutely necessary.)
• Jefferies' Tubes (the maintenance access crawlways) are made entirely of Glowstone and are 2 blocks high and 1 block wide. All Jefferies' Tubes are complete.
• Doorways are made of stone. Small doorways are 2 blocks high and 1 block wide, cut within a 3x3 stone doorframe. Large doorways may be used for certain rooms and have a 2x2 opening within a 4x3 stone doorframe.
• LCARS Computer Screens are not to be overdone. 24th Century Starfleet architecture is spartan (military and utilitarian) so do not go too crazy with the computer displays.
• Lava and Water are somewhat troublesome outside of the server. The map is updated occasionally and put up for download and for someone who does not have the appropriate mods...let's just say the most common complaint is "the ship burns down and leaks everywhere!" This is not really our concern, but if you wish to be mindful of it, contain any water you place with other blocks and surround placed lava with non-flammable blocks.
• Major Areas, including the Bridge, Ten Forward, and Main Engineering (essentially any areas that are more frequented) are NOT to be edited on-the-spot. Ask a Captain or a Lieutenant to make a copy for the area for you where you may edit to your heart's content. If your changes are appreciated by the senior staff members, the copy may be pasted back in by a someone in place of the original. Good job!

• YOU MUST show the ability to conform to the conventional styles of the ship and interpret relevant reference pictures and implement them.
• YOU MUST follow the Blueprints rigidly at all times.
• YOU MUST leave all walls exactly as they are. Do not move them, to not swap blocks on them, and do not build a wall flush against them. You may erect additional walls within a room you are working on but they must conform to Star Trek style.
• YOU MUST show respect for other players of all ranks.
• Breaking Server Rules will result in an immediate ban, which could be considered a demotion to below Trekkie rank. There are no known survivors.
• Ignoring warnings from Captains regarding breaches of conduct, usually regarding Build Rules, will result in a demotion to Trekkie. You have shown that you cannot contribute to the project in a meaningful manner.
• Repeated misuse of WorldEdit, if not interpreted as griefing, will result in a demotion to Ensign. Griefing will always result in a ban.
• Repeated abuse of administrative power will result in a demotion to Lieutenant.

Built at a 1:1 scale, the massive Minecraft fleet could bring a pang of sadness to sci-fi fans hoping to see the franchise get a proper AAA game rather than being relegated to one-offs like the Fall Guys and Star Trek crossover .

Fans of Star Trek and Minecraft alike were blown away by the impressive homage to the beloved sci-fi franchise, with several responses complimenting AstralSapphire on their astounding attention to detail. Providing more details about the jaw-dropping creations, AstralSapphire posted that they use custom resource packs in all of their builds and also linked to screenshots of a few starships featuring interior sections. Star Trek: Discovery Season 5 Returning Cast & New Character Guide

The Mirror Universe's ISS Enterprise in Star Trek: Discovery season 5, episode 5 is the same Constitution Class starship from Star Trek: The Original Series season 2, episode 4, "Mirror, Mirror," which was the ISS Enterprise's only prior canonical appearance. The ISS Enterprise was trapped in interdimensional space and abandoned by its crew, who were refugees and freedom fighters attempting to flee the Mirror Universe for Star Trek 's Prime Universe in the 24th century. As Captain Burnham later learned, the refugees made it to the Prime Universe, and one scientist even became a Starfleet Admiral.

In Star Trek: Enterprise season 4's "In A Mirror, Darkly", the 22nd-century Terran Empire gained control of the Constitution Class USS Defiant, which crossed over and time traveled from the 23rd-century Prime Universe.

In Star Trek: The Original Series ' "Mirror, Mirror", the ISS Enterprise was commanded by Captain James T. Kirk who assassinated its prior Captain, Christopher Pike (Jeffrey Hunter). "Mirror, Mirror" saw the Prime Universe's Kirk, Lt. Uhura (Nichelle Nichols), Dr. Leonard McCoy (DeForest Kelley), and Scotty (James Doohan) switch places with their Mirror counterparts due to a transporter accident during an ion storm. Before switching back, Prime Kirk planted a seed with the goateed Mirror Spock (Leonard Nimoy) to take control of the Terran Empire and institute reforms to prevent the inevitable destruction of the Empire.

Mirror Spock's reforms were successful but ultimately weakened the Terran Empire, which was conquered by the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance, as seen in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

Although the ISS Enterprise is obsolete by 32nd-century standards, it's still a bonanza of Mirror Universe technology that the United Federation of Planets has now acquired .
