The definitive ranking of every Tiger Woods PGA Tour video game

/content/dam/images/golfdigest/fullset/2020/05/200513-tiger-2004-2.png

Last August, the newest golf video game—PGA Tour 2K21—was released to the public, quickly becoming a hit among golf fans. While there had been a number of golf games released since the final iteration of the Tiger Woods video game series (in 2014), this was the first one that felt like a must-have, even without Woods' name on the box.

Seven months later, it was announced that Woods will in fact be back on the box. The 15-time major champion has inked a long-term deal with 2K , meaning he'll be returning to a console near you in the future. Rejoice, Cyber Tiger is back.

Of course, this news comes not long after Woods was in a single-car accident, one that has had him hospitalized ever since. Hopefully, Woods makes a full recovery and returns to the real course.

In the mean time, fans might get to relive their Tiger Woods glory days with Woods on an Xbox or Playstation again soon. That got us feeling nostalgic, so naturally we ranked all 16 iterations of the Tiger Woods franchise.

2006 was a very weird year for all the EA Sports games. It was basically a lame duck year, as Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 were now the systems to have. That left ’ 06 games in limbo for PS2 owners. Essentially, they were the same game as the year before with a couple of dumb, shiny new features. This was definitely the case for the “Tiger Woods” series as well. ’ 06 was as forgettable as they come.

Not all that different from 1999, which we’ll get to in a bit.

/content/dam/images/golfdigest/fullset/2020/05/200513-tiger-2002.png

The first year of the analog stick swing. Literally changed the game.

Honestly, 2003 was great, but what came after it makes its existence almost irrelevant.

/content/dam/images/golfdigest/fullset/2020/05/200513-tiger-2011.png

One of the big selling points for 2011 was the Ryder Cup mode, which flat out stunk. If you’re going to introduce an event like that into the game, one people hold very near and dear to their hearts, you’ve got to do it right. Funny enough, they introduced a pretty big event in the 2012 version of the game and nailed it.

This is purely out of respect for the franchise. Back to where it all began. Graphics? Terrible. Gameplay? Pretty good for PS1 in 1999! After years and years of playing with the analog stick, I can’t imagine playing a golf game where you had to time a meter like you’re kicking a field goal in Madden, but that’s the way it was. Kinda cool that it was exactly Tiger’s swing, but it didn’t feel like you were controlling him. Like I said, this is out of respect. By the way, something I just learned in doing research for this ranking was that there was an “Easter Egg” in the first 100,000 pressings of the game that played “Jesus vs. Santa,” a lost episode of South Park, which is on YouTube . I’m not kidding.

/content/dam/images/golfdigest/fullset/2020/05/200513-tiger-2001.png

The first “Tiger Woods” to be on PS2 had strong graphics and looked much more like the video games of today, as opposed to the Golden Tee-esque versions of 1999 and 2000. But this game still had the whack swing meter.

/content/dam/images/golfdigest/fullset/2020/05/200513-tiger-2009.png

I think the only thing separating ’ 09 from ’ 08 was Hank Haney being your coach in the game. The hell was that about?

Might as well just lump 2008 and 2009 together. Kind of forgotten years in the series in my opinion. The big jump on the new systems came in 2010. Although, none of the newest games have the Jesus shot:

/content/dam/images/golfdigest/fullset/2020/05/200513-tiger-2007.png

This year was a massive step forward for the game in graphics and presentation, which makes sense given it was on the new systems. The real fun, however, was on the PS2 version, which I still own. There was a great team mode and some fun fantasy courses (I believe there was a course in Central Park in this game). But the best part was the addition of Riviera, a course I must have played a thousand times in that game. I guess that means I was “woke” before “woke” even existed, which is an elite level of woke-ness.

2010 was a hit for many reasons, and I think the Nintendo Wii version was the most popular of the bunch this year. But I had it for Xbox 360 and it was just delightful. First off, it was perhaps the best cover of the series, featuring Tiger’s famous, double-fisted U.S. Open celebration at Torrey Pines. That was a particularly nice touch because this was also the first year the U.S. Open was in the game, which coincided with the year it was back at Pebble Beach. Most importantly, this was Anthony Kim’s video-game debut, which was such a monumental occasion that there’s video of Tiger talking up Kim in one of the game ’ s trailers. This was probably the first time in the game’s history that I popped in the disc for the first time and played with someone other than Tiger, that someone being Kim.

Considering it wasn’t all that different from ’ 12, ’ 13 probably shouldn’t be this high, but sometimes more of the same is good. ’ 13 continued to focus on Augusta/The Masters, and the collector’s edition of the game even had a green-jacket ceremony. The two best additions to the game were Rory McIlroy, who was somehow left out of 2012 after being in 2010 and 2011, and Dustin Johnson. They both returned in ’ 13 and ’ 14 and were easily the second- and third-best players in the game behind TW. ’ 13 was the last year of Adam Scott and Justin Rose, who were each staples in the franchise for years. Course-wise, ’ 13 also made some great adds in Royal County Down, Royal Birkdale, The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island, Crooked Stick and PGA National.

Some may be scoffing at this being No. 4, which is fair. The first year of Augusta National and a “ Road to the Masters ” career mode in a video game should be worthy of No. 1, but the game only got better in its final two installments. With the introduction of Augusta also came the familiar voice of Jim Nantz, which no one complained about. ’ 12 also featured “The Caddie Experience,” which was cool for all of the first 10 minutes until it became redundant. New golfers included Rickie Fowler, Henrik Stenson, the Molinari brothers, Zach Johnson and Bubba Watson. Sadly, this was the final year of Anthony Kim in the series. Pour one out, folks.

While the year we still haven’t gotten to is the game’s peak, 2005 is actually my favorite year of “Tiger Woods.” Gameplay was similar to the previous year, but there were welcome additions like the ability to adjust your stance/ball position to hit it higher or lower, and the ability to hit a punch and flop shot as well as chips and pitches. Putting was the same, with the same caddie advice and a back and through stroke once you read the putt, but this was the first year of “Tiger Vision,” which you got to use a handful of times per round with the use of the R1 button. By holding it down, your player would zoom in via a narrow cone (just like Tiger!) and see exactly where to aim the putt, turning a sure three-putt into a 76-foot eagle conversion.

Where this game separated itself was the legend mode, which allowed you to unlock Jack Nicklaus, Seve Ballesteros, Gary Player, Arnold Palmer, Ben Hogan and, of course, “Sunday” Tiger Woods. Trying to unlock all those greats, a sick soundtrack, and new courses like Harbour Town, Colonial, Sherwood, Greek Isles (fantasy course) and, my personal favorite, Couer d’Alene, where I once shot 48 with “Sunday” Tiger and … lost to a buddy of mine who shot 46 with Hogan, had me glued to this game for hours on end.

The last “Tiger Woods” game was, in my opinion, the best of the Xbox 360 era, though I won’t fault any ’ 12 or ’ 13 truthers for wanting those higher on this list. All three had Augusta National, which is enough to put them all in a tie for second, but ’ 14, the historic edition specifically, just did it for me. You could play Augusta National in 1934, reverse routing and all. New courses included Muirfield Village, Royal Troon and Oak Hill. In a brilliant nostalgia play, the game also brought back unlockable legends: Jack Nicklaus, Seve Ballesteros, Bobby Jones, Ben Hogan, Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, Lee Trevino and Sam Snead. There were even different versions of them, like an early 1960s version Jack Nicklaus and a late 1970s Jack Nicklaus, and you could compete as all of them or against them in reenactments of their greatest career moments. The game’s best feature, however, was having all four major championships in career mode. Much like Michael Strahan, the “Tiger Woods” video game went out on top with the ’ 14 version.

I could just write “DMX. That is all” and drop the mic, but that wouldn’t fully describe this game’s GOATness. Everything about it was perfect right from the “Up in here” opening montage. There were 20 courses, the most in a Tiger Woods game to that point, including new additions like Bethpage Black and Sahalee, as well six fantasy courses (Black Rock Cove was a personal fave). 2004 also featured “Game Face,” which allowed you to create your player’s face to your exact liking, wrinkles and all. The gameplay wasn’t all that different from 2003, but it didn’t need to be. Once the analog stick was introduced, the gameplay was pretty much perfect in the PS2 era. But 2004 was its peak.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters Review

Tiger Woods 12 for the Wii remains the golf sim of choice for motion-controller fans because of its accurate swing mechanics and the addition of the legendary Masters.

By Brett Todd on April 4, 2011 at 6:33PM PDT

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters remains the top golf sim for virtual swingers. Even though the series embraces the Move motion controller in its PlayStation 3 edition this year, superior controls in the Wii version of the game still make it the best way to play video game golf. This year's sequel builds on the outstanding Wii remote controls from the last two years, which show the MotionPlus attachment at its best, making for lifelike drives for show and putts for dough. The new game also refashions everything around trying to earn an illustrious green jacket at the famous Masters tournament, which lends the proceedings a gravitas that golf fans can't help but appreciate.

Set to tee off thanks to mostly great caddie advice on your shots.

What you notice when firing up Tiger Woods 12 for the first time is how much the game has been reskinned to take advantage of its Masters theme. This isn't so much a Tiger and PGA game as it is a Masters game, since golf's biggest star and its biggest professional organization take a backseat to the annual tournament hosted by Augusta National Golf Club. The opening cinematic is all about the Masters. The menu screens are loaded with photos of Augusta National. The game opens with a playable intro that walks you through the final shots of Tiger Woods winning a green jacket. And, most importantly, the career mode has been renamed Road to the Masters, with the focus switched from simply progressing from the amateur ranks to the PGA Tour, to doing all of the above plus earning an invitation to this prestigious tournament. As a result, career play is more focused, with a concrete goal behind all of your efforts. Just as the Madden games wrap with a Super Bowl every season and NHL hockey games close with the Stanley Cup final, now you have a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

There are other Masters-related frills, too. Along with being able to play Augusta National in one-off rounds, you visit its hallowed links in two other modes. Neither is wildly innovative, but each serves to further place the tournament at the heart of the game and offer tough diversions from single matches and developing a pro career. Masters Moments is a series of nine challenges where you step into the shoes of pros from tourneys past and try to come close to their achievements. These range from back in 1935 all the way to 2010 and include a wide selection of memorable moments such as Jack Nicklaus' eagle and two birdies in 1986, an Arnold Palmer eagle in 1958, and Tiger Woods' incredible seven birdies in a row in 2005. Each challenge can be beaten by getting close to the pro's achievement or mastered by matching or bettering it. This can be extremely hard in spots, because you're called upon to make a couple of unbelievable approach shots to within a few feet from the pin and do things like finish a run of seven grueling holes at four under par. Tiger at the Masters is the other main Masters-related game. It sees you playing as the great one during each of his four Masters victories, with the goal of keeping pace with every round. Fall behind by a single stroke on even one round, and it's back to the drawing board.

The holes of Amen Corner. So beautiful. So deadly.

Even with the glitz of the Masters, controls are the standout feature of the Wii version of Tiger Woods 12. As in both last year's game and its predecessor, the Wii MotionPlus-enhanced swing mechanics are stellar. Control sensitivity is spot on. Angle the remote even slightly, and the club face moves with it, letting you manually hit fades and draws with relative ease (or slice, with relative annoyance at your incompetence). Drives have real weight to them so that you often find yourself standing back and admiring the ball in flight. Approach shots allow you to feel them out for distance, letting you put a little touch on the ball just as you would in real life. Putting is also dead-on, with just the right amount of effort required whether you're tapping one in or launching lengthy lag putts across the carpet.

With all that said, Wii swinging in Tiger Woods 12 is pretty much the same as it was in Tiger Woods 11. It does feel more lifelike than the similar PS3 Move controls, however. Here, your shots feel realistic no matter where you are on a hole. With the PS3 Move, approach shots are tough to address when you need to play with distance, and putts typically require a great deal of effort, more akin to rowing a canoe against a current than swinging a putter against a little white ball. The Move controls feel a lot like the Wii remote controls did three years ago, before the release of the MotionPlus add-on. So the PS3 has a way to go before catching up to the Wii, at least when it comes to the accuracy of the motion-tracking controls.

Caddies have been added this year as a sort of controller assist. Now, instead of simply being presented with automated shot recommendations or doing it all yourself, an overalls-clad caddie standing off to one side provides verbal tips and pep talks accessed by pressing the minus button. He typically presents a couple of recommendations that often involve a safe shot like laying it up onto the fairway or just trying to hit the green, or an aggressive drive to the flag. The advice provided is not nearly as detailed in the Wii game as it is in the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game. Interaction has been stripped back so much that the caddie function has been reduced to bland instructions, so it never seems like you have an ally helping you out. You get basic "do this" comments about things like the break on a putt going left to right, or an overhead diagram of how the caddie thinks the ball will move. This pales in comparison to the much more involved verbal advice in the other versions of the game, which reveal specifics, such as the break being two feet off the cup. Your caddie can still be useful here, since the tips are generally sound, but the illusion that you're dealing with a real person has been lost.

Caddie advice and the outstanding Wii remote controls make approach shots feel lifelike.

Aside from these new elements, Tiger Woods 12 is structured much like Tiger Woods 11. Progress through career play is the same as it has been in recent years. Everything has a role-playing vibe: you create a pro with a unique look and dress style and then earn experience points on the links for every event. The result is a custom-crafted pro with a skill set in which you can adjust basic abilities such as power and accuracy. Options have been noticeably reduced from the other editions of the game, though, so you're building a much more limited golfer here. You also gradually earn sponsor levels and unlock equipment courtesy of corporations like Nike, Callaway, and Ping. Gear is more limited in the Wii game, however; only clubs boost your skills, unlike in the 360 and PS3 versions of the game, where pretty much every accoutrement buffs one ability or another. If creating a pro doesn't intrigue you, you can also play single rounds of all the traditional golf games with up to four friends locally or online; take part in minigolf, disc golf, golf party, and a host of target-shooting and cart-racing minigames unique to the Wii version of the game; get into online tournaments; and play in the Presidents Cup.

A total of 25 courses come with the game, including a lot of familiar ones, such as St. Andrews and Pebble Beach, along with the big additions of Augusta National and its Augusta National Par 3 sidekick. There are no additional downloadable courses on offer for the Wii, although the out-of-the-box 25 include nine more courses than in the 360 and PS3 games, so you get a bonus up front in compensation. Extra attention has clearly been paid to Augusta. The famous course is loaded with the colorful foliage that gives the holes their specific names. Amen Corner looks very good, particularly the 12th hole known as Golden Bell. It's hard to believe that a scenic little nook tucked away behind a stone bridge and a creek could be such a strain on so many pro golfers' nerves, but such is the beauty and challenge of Augusta National. The usual PGA pros are on board as well, led by the likes of Tiger, Vijay Singh, and Jim Furyk. Newbies this year include Bubba Watson and Rhys Davies.

Minigolf is one of the unique game modes available in the Wii version of Tiger Woods 12.

Commentary has been beefed up with the addition of Jim Nantz, the CBS broadcaster long considered the voice of pro golf. Oddly enough, though, he doesn't have many lines in the game itself. His contributions are mostly limited to cliches during rounds and raves about the Masters in cinematics. After all of the buildup, comments about Augusta National are actually quite subdued. Nantz introduces each hole by name as you play through, but in a very brief fashion. You're told the name and the reason for the name, perhaps given some brief shot advice, and that's about it. So while it's pretty dramatic to have Nantz's voice doing the reading, the insubstantial intros leave a lot to be desired.

Although Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters on the Wii can't be considered any sort of golfing evolution due to its reliance on many of the same features and mechanics found in its immediate two predecessors, the still superb motion controls and the addition of one of pro golf's premier events score it a solid birdie. Being able to go for a green jacket is an impressive goal that gives career mode a kick in the plaid pants, and the other new features, like famous Masters shots and those Tiger wins, further build the illusion of hitting the PGA Tour as a real pro. Add in the intriguing caddie option, and you have a strong sequel that adds just enough impressive new amenities to keep virtual duffers ponying up their virtual greens fees for another round.

  • Leave Blank
  • Addition of the Masters gives more focus to career play
  • Useful caddie feature
  • Good range of courses
  • MotionPlus controls are accurate and lifelike
  • Not many changes to the core feature set

Teenage golf sensation, 15, fast-tracked to PGA Tour after breaking Tiger Woods' record

F ifteen year old golf prodigy Miles Russell, who recently broke a record set by Tiger Woods , is set to make his PGA Tour debut later this year.

The Jacksonville, Florida high school freshman became the youngest player ever to make a cut at a Korn Ferry Tour event last week, shooting rounds of 68 and 66 at the LECOM Suncoast Classic at Lakewood National Golf Club in Florida.

Russell finished tied for 20th at 14-under-par after shooting rounds of 70 and 66 in the final two rounds, making him the first player under 16 to finish in the top 25 of a PGA Tour or Korn Ferry Tour event on record.

His performance earned him a spot in this week's Korn Ferry Tour event, the Veritex Bank Championship, which kicks off at Texas Rangers Golf Club on Thursday. But that's not all for the young golfer who also found out he'll be making his PGA Tour debut as a sponsor's exemption at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship in November.

This opportunity comes as a reward for winning the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Junior Player of the Year for 2023, during which he broke Woods' long-standing record of being the youngest player to win the award.

"I am honored to be receiving an exemption into the 2024 Butterfield Bermuda Championship," expressed Russell. "I have dreamt of playing on the PGA Tour my entire life and to have that dream coming to fruition later this year is a feeling that I cannot describe. I am grateful to the tournament and the AJGA for their partnership that is allowing me this incredible opportunity."

Despite his amateur status, which means he won't earn any prize money during his tour appearances until he turns professional, the experience he will gain is sure to be invaluable as he continues to hone his skills.

Russell currently holds the second spot in the Junior Golf Scoreboard rankings for American boys, and at three years younger than number one William Jennings, who has committed to the University of Alabama after he graduates this year. Already ranked in the top 100 of the World Amateur Golf Ranking, Russell also made a leap into the Official World Golf Ranking this week, landing in 1738th place.

Describing his breakthrough week on the Korn Ferry Tour as "awesome", Russell confirmed that he can compete with professionals when he's at the top of his game.

In his post-tournament interview on Sunday, he commented: "When I play well, I think I can compete with some of the better pros, but this week I played well and I think it kind of showed it a little bit. But good play is always good, and definitely confidence-boosting to finish where we're going to finish today."

Miles Russell;s performance on the Korn Ferry Tour have earned him a chance on the PGA Tour

15-year-old miles russell caps memorable week with sunday 66 on korn ferry tour, share this article.

BRADENTON, Fla. — Another day, another sub-par round for 15-year-old Miles Russell.

Russell, from Jacksonville Beach, Florida, went on a tear mid-round on Sunday at the Lakewood National Commander Course and finished with a 66 and a four-round total of 14-under-par 270 in the Korn Ferry Tour Lecom Suncoast Classic.

At the time Russell finished, he was in a tie for 15th. He birdied four of five holes during one stretch, and seven of 10 and briefly was in a tie for third, four shots behind Patrick Cover’s 54-hole lead.

Russell finished tied for 20th, making him the youngest to post a top-20 in Korn Ferry Tour history.

PHOTOS : Miles Russell

Russell shot under par in all four of his rounds, opening with a 68, then shooting 66 on Friday to become the youngest player in history to make the cut at a Korn Ferry Tour event, the PGA Tour’s pathway tour that began in 1990.

Russell also was the youngest First Coast native to play in a PGA Tour-sanctioned event, nearly three years younger than David Duval when he played in the 1990 U.S. Open.

Counting a Monday qualifier round in March for the Tour’s Puerto Rico Open (he shot 67 and missed getting into the field in a four-for-one playoff), Russell is 19 under in five rounds in professional tournaments.

Breaking down Russell’s final round

Russell began the day in a tie for 48th and after three opening pars, rapidly ascended the leaderboard.

He birdied Nos. 4, 6 and 7, then quickly rallied from a bogey at No. 8 to birdie Nos. 9, 10, 12 and 13.

He parred his next four before the closing bogey.

Russell hit seven of 13 fairways, his lowest total in a round this week, but hit 15 of 18 greens, his best of the week. He averaged 1.53 putts per green in regulation.

What’s next?

Because Russell finished in the top 25, he qualifies for a spot in the Korn Ferry Tour’s Veritex Bank Championship at the Texas Rangers Golf Club in Arlington, Texas, which starts Thursday. The option is available to non-members and amateurs.

Russell can’t be a full member of the PGA Tour or Korn Ferry Tour until he is 18. He can play on sponsor invitations, Monday qualifiers or through his finishes in events (a top 10 in a PGA Tour event earns a spot in the next tournament, except for majors or signature events) and he would be capped at 12 starts in one season.

Miles Russell, 15, makes history again, ties for 20th on Korn Ferry

Two days after he became the youngest player ever to make the cut on the Korn Ferry Tour, Miles Russell notched another pretty cool achievement for a 15-year-old.

He finished tied for 20th in the event.

Russell, the reigning American Junior Golf Association Player of the Year, closed with a 5-under 66 on Sunday at the Lecom Suncoast Classic in Lakewood Ranch, Florida, finishing 6 shots behind winner Tim Widing . He became the youngest player since at least 1983 to finish in the top 25 in a Korn Ferry Tour or PGA Tour event.

An amateur playing on a sponsor's exemption, Russell won't pocket any money for the finish. But he did qualify for next week's Korn Ferry event, the Veritex Bank Championship in Texas, as a result of finishing in the top 25.

What a week for Miles Russell 👏 pic.twitter.com/eWqa8CmQjD — Korn Ferry Tour (@KornFerryTour) April 21, 2024

"It was an awesome week," he said. "It was a blast."

Russell was outside the top 25 entering Sunday, but he surged 28 spots up the leaderboard thanks to a final round that included seven birdies in a 10-hole stretch.

"You're always nervous," he said of the final round. "So definitely the start of the round [I had nerves], but they kind of relaxed as we got kind of settled in and maybe a little bit more toward the end. But it was good.

"I just kind of try to go with the flow and take it as it comes to me and just try and stay cool."

The closing 66 matched his low round of the event; he posted the same score Friday to make history on the PGA Tour's developmental circuit. At 15 years, 5 months and 17 days, he became the youngest ever to make the cut; Gipper Finau , the younger brother of PGA Tour star Tony Finau , had the previous record, doing so at the 2006 Utah Championship, when he was 16 years, 20 days.

Big achievements on the golf course, though, are nothing new for Russell.

In 2023, the left-hander from Florida won the Junior PGA Championship by 7 shots and became the youngest winner of the Junior Players Championship. He won the AJGA Player of the Year award at a younger age than Tiger Woods .

Last month, he lost out in a playoff in a Monday qualifier for the PGA Tour's Puerto Rico Open.

China's Guan Tianlang is the youngest to make the cut in a PGA Tour-sanctioned event. He was 14 when he made the cut in the 2013 Masters, playing as the Asia-Pacific Amateur champion.

Widing became a first-time Korn Ferry winner, beating Steven Fisk and Patrick Cover in a playoff.

2024 Zurich Classic odds, field: Surprising PGA picks, predictions by model that's nailed 11 majors

Sportsline's proven model simulated the zurich classic of new orleans 2024 10,000 times and revealed its pga golf picks.

rory-mcilroy-pga-golf-getty-images.jpg

Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay look to reclaim some team magic when they pair back up for the 2024 Zurich Classic. The PGA Tour's yearly team event tees off Thursday at TPC Louisiana in New Orleans, and 80 two-man teams will be in attendance for tee off on Thursday. Schauffele and Cantlay were the winning duo back in 2022 and they are the 5-1 favorites on the 2024 Zurich Classic odds board. Should you back this pair of California natives with your 2024 Zurich Classic picks? Or should you back Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry at 8-1 odds?

Will Zalatoris and Sahith Theegala are listed at 11-1 in the lastest 2024 Zurich Classic odds, and Collin Morkiawa and Kurt Kitayama follow at 16-1. Defending Zurich Classic champions Nick Hardy and David Riley are 80-1 longshots to have repeat success. Before making any 2024 Zurich Classic picks, be sure t o see the golf predictions and projected leaderboard from the proven computer model at SportsLine .

Our proprietary model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has been red-hot since the PGA Tour resumed in June of 2020. In fact, the model is up more than $9,000 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament.

McClure's model correctly predicted Scottie Scheffler would finish on top of the leaderboard at the 2024 Masters, the Arnold Palmer Invitational, the Players Championship, and the RBC Heritage this season. McClure also included Hideki Matsuyama in his best bets to win the 2024 Genesis Invitational. That bet hit at +9000, and for the entire tournament, McClure's best bets returned nearly $1,000.

The model also predicted Jon Rahm would be victorious at the 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions and The American Express. At the 2023 Masters, the model was all over Rahm's second career major victory heading into the weekend. Rahm was two strokes off the lead heading into the third round, but the model still projected him as the winner. It was the second straight Masters win for the model, which also nailed Scheffler winning in 2022.

In addition, McClure's best bets included Nick Taylor (70-1) winning the 2023 RBC Canadian Open, Jason Day (17-1) winning outright at the 2023 AT&T Byron Nelson, and Rickie Fowler (14-1) finishing on top of the leaderboard at the 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic.

This same model has also nailed a whopping 11 majors entering the weekend and hit the Masters three straight years. Anyone who has followed it has seen massive returns.

Now that the Zurich Classic 2024 field is finalized, SportsLine simulated the tournament 10,000 times, and the results were surprising. Head to SportsLine now to see the projected leaderboard .

Top 2024 Zurich Classic predictions

One major surprise the model is calling for at the Zurich Classic 2024: McIlroy and Lowry, who've combined for 26 wins on the PGA Tour, barely crack the top five. McIlroy is set to play in his fourth consecutive event when he tees off at TPC Louisiana. He's failed to crack the top-10 in seven of his eight starts on the PGA Tour this season, while Lowry has finished T-19 or worse in six of his past eight events.

Both players have struggled mightily on the green this season. McIlroy enters the 2024 Zurich Classic ranked 78th in strokes gained: putting (0.119) and 72nd in putting average (1.758), a big reason why he ranks 98th in scoring average (70.44). Lowry, meanwhile, ranks 99th in strokes gained: putting (-0.012) and 143rd in putts per round (29.38), which doesn't bode well for their chances to finish on top of the leaderboard this week.

Another surprise: Rasmus Højgaard and Nicolai Højgaard, 35-1 longshots, make a strong run at the title. The twin brothers have a much better chance to win it all than their odds imply, so they're a target for anyone looking for a huge payday.

The Danish twosome has been making headlines abroad for years now, becoming the first brothers to ever win events in consecutive weeks on the European Tour back in 2021. They are now making noise on the PGA Tour as Nicolai finished second at the Farmers Insurance Open back in January and finished T16 in his first ever Masters appearance earlier this month. Nicolai also played this event last year, so his experience makes the duo an under-the-radar competitor at the 2024 Zurich Classic.  See who else to pick here .

How to make 2024 Zurich Classic picks

The model is also targeting three other teams with odds of 35-1 or longer to make a strong run at the title. Anyone who backs these longshots could hit it big. You can only see the model's picks here .

Who will win the 2024 Zurich Classic, and which longshots will stun the golfing world? Check out the Zurich Classic 2024 odds below and then visit SportsLine to see the projected Zurich Classic leaderboard , all from the model that's nailed 11 golf majors, including the last three Masters.

Moscow Metro

The Moscow Metro Tour is included in most guided tours’ itineraries. Opened in 1935, under Stalin’s regime, the metro was not only meant to solve transport problems, but also was hailed as “a people’s palace”. Every station you will see during your Moscow metro tour looks like a palace room. There are bright paintings, mosaics, stained glass, bronze statues… Our Moscow metro tour includes the most impressive stations best architects and designers worked at - Ploshchad Revolutsii, Mayakovskaya, Komsomolskaya, Kievskaya, Novoslobodskaya and some others.

What is the kremlin in russia?

The guide will not only help you navigate the metro, but will also provide you with fascinating background tales for the images you see and a history of each station.

And there some stories to be told during the Moscow metro tour! The deepest station - Park Pobedy - is 84 metres under the ground with the world longest escalator of 140 meters. Parts of the so-called Metro-2, a secret strategic system of underground tunnels, was used for its construction.

During the Second World War the metro itself became a strategic asset: it was turned into the city's biggest bomb-shelter and one of the stations even became a library. 217 children were born here in 1941-1942! The metro is the most effective means of transport in the capital.

There are almost 200 stations 196 at the moment and trains run every 90 seconds! The guide of your Moscow metro tour can explain to you how to buy tickets and find your way if you plan to get around by yourself.
