adventure tour paris

Welcome to Montmartre, the Paris of your dreams!  Our tour begins opposite a quintessential Parisian landmark: the Moulin Rouge windmill. We’ll start the climb up the hill, spotting the café where the film Amélie was shot and Van Gogh’s home as we go.  Our first stop will be at one of Paris’ best bakers, winner of many prestigious prizes for its bread and pastries. Here we will taste one of France’s most famous patisserie: a deliciously buttery croissant. Is there any better way to start your morning in Paris?  After learning how to say “je t’aime” in 250 different languages and listening to the crazy legend about the first Parisian bishop, we’ll climb a few more stairs to discover one of Montmartre’s loveliest squares and the one-time home of Pablo Picasso. Hear the stories of struggle endured by many local artists here before they found fame and fortune.  From here we’ll pass by the house of Dalida, one of France’s most famous singers and an iconic figure in Montmartre. Find out more about her dramatic life and why she became an icon for the gay community in Paris and beyond.  We’ll pass by one of the last remaining windmills in Paris, now totally privatised, then we’ll promenade down the “Champs-Élysées” of Montmartre, where we’ll see some of the most expensive houses in the capital. Your guide will then lead you through a totally secret passage that reveals not only one of the best views over Paris but also one of the cutest cobbled streets in the city!  Next up are the famous vineyards of Montmartre. Almost on the top of the hill they overlook the suburbs of Paris and produce a surprisingly good red wine. Opposite the vineyard is the entrance to the famous Cabaret, Le Lapin Agile, where your guide will tell you the legend of Lolo, the painting donkey. Finally we’ll walk to the iconic Basilica Sacré-Coeur, where we’ll stop to admire a view of the church from a perspective that very few tourists know about, leading onto our grand finale of another stunning Paris panorama.  Before you go, don’t forget to pick your guide’s brains for the latest on what to see and do during your stay in Paris.

We reserve the right to change both the route and places visited within the tour.

Disney Announces Complete Transformation of Its Walt Disney Studios Park in Paris

Introducing Disney Adventure World.

adventure tour paris

Courtesy of Disneyland Paris

On its 32nd anniversary, the Disneyland Paris Resort announced a complete reimagining of its Walt Disney Studios Park. The Hollywood-inspired park, which first opened in 2002 and is opposite the main Disneyland Paris park, will undergo a magical makeover and be renamed to Disney Adventure World, the park shared with Travel + Leisure on Friday.

The reimagined park will allow “guests to step into their favorite stories in a uniquely Disney way” and is part of an overall two-billion-euro destination-wide investment which includes new attractions, the ongoing transformation of its on-site hotels, and a reimagining of its entertainment, shopping, and dining district, Disney Village.

“Today, we are changing the story of Walt Disney Studios Park, evolving from ‘how it’s done’ soundstages to celebratory theaters and adventures that come to life in immersive worlds,” Tom Fitzgerald, Walt Disney Imagineering Chief Storytelling Executive and Senior Creative Executive for Disneyland Paris, shared in the press release. “These fully realized adventure worlds will become the focus of the park’s new identity and appear as realms that guests discover as they navigate deeper within the park and are invited to participate in adventures inspired by our most beloved stories.”

Transformation of Walt Disney Studios Park into Disney World Adventure will begin this month at its entrance. Park goers will soon encounter a “vibrant, contemporary open-air movie studio before becoming special guests of a glamorous film premiere in the heart of Hollywood on a starry night.” The former entrance, a colorful indoor replica soundstage, will be reimagined, paying homage to historic Hollywood movie theaters, and is set for reopening in Spring 2025.

This “all-new visual identity” will occur in tandem with the opening of Paris' very own World of Frozen — a brand-new immersive land inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Frozen — which has opened in Hong Kong . The land will be situated on the edge of Adventure Bay, a new multi-use 70,000 cubic meter body of water, which will be utilized as a “unique entertainment stage with 360-degree viewing area” and will be complete with a walkable promenade — Adventure Way — to lands throughout the park.

The transformation will also welcome Raiponce Tangled Spin, all-new family attraction inspired by the beloved Disney Animation movie Tangled.

These new guest areas and Frozen -themed land will join the park’s Avengers Campus, which opened in 2022, and Worlds of Pixar, home to fan favorite attraction Ratatouille: The Adventure. According to the release, the completion of this transformation will see the park roughly doubling its footprint, evolving from a half-day park to full-day experience.

The park’s evolution was only natural as it moved towards welcoming guests into “more immersive worlds,” beginning with the 2007 debut of The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. “With an unprecedented level of immersion and powerful storytelling, the latest experiences delivered across the park already reflect this new creative vision,” the release states.

“Embracing a transformation that involves the overhaul of more than 90 percent of Walt Disney Studios Park since its debut in 2002, we're unveiling a fresh creative vision that has completely redefined our second gate,” shared Natacha Rafalski, President of Disneyland Paris. “This significant evolution inspired us to rename the Park, heralding a vibrant new chapter for Disneyland Paris. With our commitment to pushing the boundaries of immersion and innovation, we're crafting breathtaking new experiences and spectacular moments at Disney Adventure World that will resonate more than ever with our guests. It’s set to offer unique adventures in immersive worlds, serving as a perfect complement to Disneyland Park.” No opening date has been announced for the Frozen -themed land or for the completion of the theme park transformation.

The announcement also shared the addition of two new park shows. Inspired by Disney Animation’s Alice in Wonderland , Alice & the Queen of Hearts: Back to Wonderland, is an all-new musical set to debut May 25. The end of the year will welcome a brand-new nighttime activation to Avengers Campus that will “combine projections, music and special effects with an all- new storyline, featuring some favorite and new-to-Disneyland Paris Marvel characters.”

This exciting period of unprecedented growth for the resort includes the recent renovation of its flagship accommodations, Disneyland Hotel. The resort’s entertainment district, Disney Village, is also undergoing a complete overhaul that includes the addition of new retail and dining locations, enhanced landscaping, and reimagined facades with a notably more modern look. Another hotel refurbishment project is expected to begin this year at Disney Davy Crockett Ranch that will ultimately provide “a modern and comfortable experience for guests” and see the addition of Disney characters to its décor.

Disneyland Paris Gets an Adventure World Makeover in This Week's Theme Park News

Disneyland paris gets an adventure world makeover in this week's theme park news, plus: universal's epic universe gets immersive space themed hotels, and pixar fest reveals its tasty treats..

Tangled lantern ride

Bob Iger and Josh D’Amaro were serious when they said they were “turbo-charging” progress at Disney Parks as Disneyland Paris sets out to reinvent its second park into Disney’s Adventure World. This new park transformation will feature its own World of Frozen and more experiences from Disney’s legacy.

Stateside, Pixar Fest teases its foodie menu at California Adventure, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure releases more details, and Test Track at Epcot gets a needed re-theme. Plus, Universal Studios has officially revealed its own immersive hotels: the Stella Nova and Terra Luna Resorts, which will nestle guests among the stars.

And in more international news, WB World Abu Dhabi will be premiering a brand new Looney Tunes show as the iconic characters delve into sports just in time for the Olympics. Can’t make it out to Abu Dhabi? Looney Tunes will be collaborating with Conqueror on a new digital race virtual challenge you can join from anywhere with some very real Looney medals.

Here’s the latest news from theme parks and immersive experiences.

Disney’s Adventure World

Watch the video above for a sneak peek at the turbocharged action happening at Disneyland Paris, as Walt Disney Studios Park becomes Disney’s Adventure World. The reinvention—inspired by recent additions like Avengers Campus—aims to double the size of the park with more beloved Disney stories, including World of Frozen .

World of Frozen

Check out the concept designs for World of Frozen, which will join the now open worlds of Pixar and Marvel Avengers Campus at Disney Adventure World. Additionally Frozen will bring along other fairytale faves like Tangled with Raiponce Tangled Spin , where you can sit in tiny boats that spin with the classic lantern scene above you. There will also be a new park entrance built and the announcement of a yet-to-be-named immersive world that Disney Imagineers are currently working on. We’re hoping for a new Star Wars land, perhaps not a new version of Galaxy’s Edge but something new.

Alice in Wonderland musical

First look at a new Alice in Wonderland musical also coming to Disneyland Paris.

Pixar Fest Food

Take a look at new treats that will debut at Disney California Adventure for Pixar Fest.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure poster art

Here’s the official poster for the attraction coming this summer to Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World and later this year at Disneyland. We wonder if each restaurant or house facade in the posters will be different locations for the ride’s grand finale.

Test Track at Epcot

After being outshone by the Cars ride, Test Track is gearing up for its own re-theme.

Universal Stella Nova and Terra Luna Resorts

Universal Stella Nova Resort will open January 21, 2025, with Universal Terra Luna Resort opening February 25, 2025. The new hotel resort area will have a combined total of 1,500 rooms described by Universal as “luminous, ultramodern and surreal.” These hotels were designed with a modern sci-fi aesthetic in mind, and the idea that the spaceship-styled windows will immerse guests looking to relax and sleep among stars and planets. We wonder if that means the use of AR screens to transport folks staying there to some galactic scenic overlooks. Those planning a Universal Orlando vacation for the upcoming year will be pleased to find out that these stays come at an affordable price point starting at $147 (per night, plus tax) on the new properties, which you can book now .

Glamor Trams celebrate 60 years of the Universal Studios Backlot Tour

Red glamour trams universal studios hollywood

Universal Studios Hollywood celebrates the Studio Tour ’s 60th anniversary with a new experience on the iconic original theme park attraction from April 26 through August 11. Guests will be able to ride the red and white candy-striped Glamor Trams and hop off the tram for cinematic photo-ops including a giant King Kong backdrop and the theme park’s original hanging Jaws shark. The “Earthquake—The Big One” section has undergone some renovations and will debut with a new look. Additionally the tour will feature a stop at Courthouse Square, known for its historic film history in Back to the Future,  and guests will see an original time machine picture car with Doc Brown out and about. And keep your eyes peeled for a Tyrannosaurus rex display added to the totally safe and locked paddock of wild dinosaurs featured on the tour.

WB World Abu Dhabi’s new Looney Tunes show

Starting April 13 and running through May 26 is the new ‘Team Looney Tunes Get in the Game” stage show at Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi theme park. After its debut on Yas Island, the show will go to Parque Warner Madrid, Warner Bros. Movie World in Australia, and more (hey WB, please bring it to the states).

Disneyland Paris to transform second park into new Disney Adventure World

Disneyland Paris is marking its 32nd anniversary with a major transformation of its second park, Walt Disney Studios Park.

Walt Disney Studios Park originally opened in 2002 as a park that gave guests a behind-the-scenes look at movie-making magic. In recent years, however, Disney has leaned into more immersive lands and experiences that transport guests into their favorite Disney stories. Walt Disney Studios Park's transformation will reflect that vision with a new name, new attractions, new shows and more.

Soon, Walt Disney Studios Park will become Disney Adventure World. The rebranded park will open alongside its newest land, World of Frozen. Like its counterpart at Hong Kong Disneyland , World of Frozen will transport guests to the Kingdom of Arendelle.

World of Frozen will border the all-new Adventure Bay — a majestic body of water that will act as a gateway to the park's new themed lands that will surround it. Adventure Bay will also serve as an entertainment stage with 360-degree viewing, so everyone can have a front-row seat for new water-based shows with fountains, music, lights, special effects and more.

Though Disney revealed World of Frozen will be one of the lands Adventure Bay leads to, the theme for a second immersive world has yet to be announced. Disney has only shared that the concept and design of the land are currently being finalized. The two new lands will join Marvel Avengers Campus and Worlds of Pixar, roughly doubling the park's footprint.

As part of the revamp, Disney Adventure World will also get a new entrance in the spring of 2025, dropping guests into an open-air movie studio the moment they enter the park. Dubbed World Premiere, the reimagined entrance will incorporate decor that pays homage to Hollywood 's historic movie theaters.

As guests continue into the park, they will encounter World Premiere Plaza, with theaters celebrating Disney Animation and Pixar stories. This area will lead to Adventure Way, a landscaped promenade that leads to the park's other lands.

The area will also feature a new attraction of its own called Raiponce Tangled Spin. Based on the film "Tangled," this new take on a classic spinning ride will take guests through the movie's iconic floating lantern scene.

The new Regal View Restaurant and Lounge will also be in this region, with views of Adventure Bay. Guests can also meet their favorite Disney princesses at this table-service restaurant.

These new lands and attractions won't be the only additions to Disneyland Paris as part of this transformation.

Disneyland Paris' second park will debut a new stage show called "Alice & the Queen of Hearts: Back to Wonderland" this spring; there's also a show coming to Marvel Avengers Campus running between the end of 2024 and the spring of 2025. The Disney Village shopping, dining and entertainment complex and the Disney Davy Crockett Ranch bungalows will be undergoing major refurbishments.

These projects fulfill Disney's promise to accelerate and expand investment in its theme parks, cruise line and other vacation experiences over the next 10 years. Earlier this year, Disneyland Paris saw the reopening of its iconic Disneyland Hotel after extensive renovations.

A specific opening date for Disney Adventure World will be released at a later date.
