Day 1 – Arrival at Chennai

Today you arrive at Chennai, Meet the representative at the Chennai International airport followed by assisted transfer to the hotel for overnight stay.

On day 2, Post breakfast, the morning is scheduled for a sightseeing tour of Chennai covering Kapleshwar Temple, St. Thomas Cathedral Church, Parthasarathy Temple and The Fort Museum. In the afternoon , leave by road for Mahabalipuram (55 kms / 1.30 hrs.). Stay overnight in Mahabalipuram.

The first half of the day 3 is booked with the sightseeing tour of Mahabalipuram. Visit the Shore Temple, the Five Raths, the Arjuna's Penance and the Tiger Cave. Later.

Then start drive to Pondicherry tour (90 kms./2 hrs.) Pondicherry is a former French Colony known for its cobbled streets, famouse Pondicherry Beaches, French Palaces and Auroville Ashram. Stay overnight in Pondicherry.

In the morning, embark on a sightseeing tour of Varadaraja Perumal Temple, Manakula Vinayagar Temple and Vedapureeswarar Temple. In the afternoon, leave by road for Thanjavur via Chidambaram (177 kms / 6 hrs). Stay overnight in Thanjavur.

The day 5 starts with a visit to Sri Brihadeshwara temple, the Palace and Art Gallery. Later, take a road journey to Madurai via Trichy (192 kms / 6 hrs. Stay overnight in Madurai.

Post a leisurely breakfast in the morning, embark on a sightseeing tour of Madurai covering Sri Meenakshi Temple-the star attraction of Madurai, Thirumalai Nayakkar Mahal, Thiruparangundram and Gandhi Palace. Stay overnight in Madurai.

On the final day of South India Temple Tour, you'll be transferred to the airport to board the connecting flight for Chennai/Bombay. On arrival in Chennai/ Bombay, you will be received and transferred to the International Airport to board flight for onward destination..

Day 1 : arrive trichy.

On your arrival at Trichy, you will be received and your driver will be introduced. Start your drive towards Kumbakonam, enroute stop at Thanjavur and visit Sri Brihadeeswara Temple (Big Temple) - a UNESCO world heritage site. Your first navagraha temple darshan will be Thingaloor "Chandran" Temple . Then visit Swamimalai Murugan Temple (Arupadai Veedu of lord Muruga). Check-in to the hotel and relax. Overnight stay in kumbakonam.

DAY 2 : Navagraha Temples around Kumbakonam

This day you can visit the navagraha temples around Kumbakonam. First visit Alangudi "Guru" Temple , Thirunageswaram "Raaghu" Temple and Thirunallaru "Sani" Temple . Check-in to the hotel and relax. One more night stay in kumbakonam .

DAY 3 : Navagraha Temples around Kumbakonam

Day 1 : Arrival at Chennai

Today you arrive at Chennai and our representative escorts you to our pre-booked hotel. After check in you can spend the rest of the day by yourself. There is an overnight stay at Chennai.

Day 2 : Chennai - Mahabalipuram (Mamallapuram) (by surface approx 57 km / 01 hr)

Today after breakfast we checkout from the hotel and set out for the Chennai sightseeing tour . We start by visiting the Santhome Cathedral, which is a representative of the Portuguese culture of Chennai . It exhibits amazing Neo-Gothic architectural style and is an abode of peace and serenity.

We also visit the Fort St. George located at the shores of the Bay of Bengal. This fort was built by the British East India company in 1640 AD and is believed to be the first British construction in India.

The Government Museum (closed on friday) is one of oldest museums of the country, treasuring ancient Hindu sculptures, Bronze statues and other rare relics and paintings.

At afternoon, we begin our journey to Mahabalipuram via roadways. We check in a pre-booked hotel here and spend the rest of the day in leisure. There is an overnight stay here.

Day 3 : Mahabalipuram - Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram (by surface 66 km - 1½ hrs)

Today after breakfast you are taken to the famous Shore Temple of Mahabalipuram . This UNESCO World Heritage Site displays intricate carvings that define South Indian architecture.

We also visit the Five Rathas , which is a set of rock temples, exhibiting the Dravidian architectural style. The temples are in the form of pagodas and resemble Buddhist monasteries .

Arjuna’s Penance take you back in the time of Mahabharata, narrating a popular story from this great Indian epic. After a fulfilled exploration of Mahabalipuram you return to the hotel for night stay.

Day 4 : Mahabalipuram - Tanjore (by surface approx 302 km / 06 hrs)

Today after breakfast we check out from the hotel and drive to Tanjore. After reaching Tanjore you check in a pre-booked hotel. After some refreshment, you head towards the first tourist hotspot, Brihadeeswarar Temple . This temple is an epitome of architectural efficacy with 216 feet over the inner shrine and rich wall paintings belonging to the Chola and Nayak periods.

There is a huge statue of Nandi , the bull vehicle of Lord Shiva at the entrance of the temple. After this memorable trip to the temple you return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 5 : Tanjore (by surface approx 65 kms / 2 hrs)(Departure)

Today after breakfast our guide helps your checkout from the hotel and escort you to the nearest airport Tiruchirappalli International Airport / railway station; with this the trip comes to an end.
