All you need to know about Active Travel Tours

What is an active tour.

This is an "Active" lifestyle itinerary, with walks and hikes most days. Hikes will range from easy/moderate to strenuous. No technical climbing skills are required, but a reasonable level of fitness is required to make the trip more enjoyable. We understand that not all people want to hike at the same pace or even on the same trail, so where possible, we'll host a map orientation and then let everyone disperse to enjoy the trails best suited to them.

What should I pack?

Before you head off on your active travel tour, you’ll need to get prepared. Guests should bring lightweight hiking shoes or boots, layered clothing, a reusable water bottle, and a hiking day pack. You may also like to bring hiking poles. Another crucial packing item is your sun protection. You’ll need a broad-brimmed sun hat, high-SPF sunscreen, and UV-protected sunglasses.

What about the weather & altitude conditions on Active Tours?

While the itinerary is laid out, we are at the mercy of the weather and so reserve the right to adjust the program as necessary. Please keep in mind that the higher elevations and possible variations in weather and temperature can increase the perceived level of difficulty of our activities. Elevation ranges up to 9,000 feet for Utah’s Mighty Five and up to 11,000 feet for California High Country Adventure. Everyone reacts differently to altitude, so if you do have any health issues you should check with your doctor that this trip is suitable for you.

Action Tours

When you vacation to Big Bear, you are probably looking for a thrilling experience that you will remember for years to come. Big Bear is home to a variety of outdoor activities in which adventurers will love to take part. Many of these Big Bear activities are available through Action Tours, a local outdoor adventure company that specializes in zip lines, Segways, snowshoe tours, and much more. Take a look at what kind of fun Action Tours can show you in Big Bear:

Flying Zip Line Tours

There is no better view in Big Bear than up from the treetops. Get an unparalleled view when you book one of the thrilling zip line tours with Action Tours. Their affordable zip line tours get you high up into the trees as you travel 35 miles per hour across nine different high-speed zip lines. Guests start with a short off-road trek through an unmaintained forest road that takes you from the van transportation to the start of the zipline course. While you wiz through the air you will see some of the most unique views around Big Bear that include Johnson Valley and Mount San Gorgonio, which is the highest peak in Southern California. Further, the zipline adventures aren’t the only thing you can do with Action Tours, the teetering suspension bridge is just as fun as you brave the heights. The zip line tours also feature various seasonal activities such as the Pumpkin Smash fall activity. You will be able to quickly zip down the line as you throw a pumpkin at your target—very exciting! Add your zip line tour to any additional packages to save.

Adventurous Segway Tours

Segway tours in other cities might be a slow affair in a city environment, but with Action Tours, you will be taking on the outdoor wilderness as well. Action Tours’ Segway routes will show you all the best views of Big Bear in the area. A guide to show you the basics of riding and using their local knowledge to give you the best tour content so you’re in for the perfect Segway PT experience. You will first learn how to operate the Segway with a safety crash course and then you will be on your way. Learn the history of Big Bear from a Certified Segway Tour Guide and explore the beautiful forest. Segways are the perfect way to take in the beauty around the Big Bear area and include treks through the forest and around Big Bear Lake. There is something truly unique about this mode of transportation that combines the serene experience of a hike with a bit of adrenaline from the speed of the Segway. The fall season is a great time to see the many leaves changing colors above you. Each tour includes an instructional session to teach you how to use your Segway.

Traversing Snowshoe Tours

Last but not least, schedule an exciting snowshoe tour when you visit Big Bear during the winter. Navigating Big Bear by snowshoe is an unforgettable experience during the winter months! You will go across various terrain and choose your level of difficulty for the trail. All ability levels are welcome for this immersive experience. Guests will enjoy the beauty of the winter solitude amongst the Jeffrey and Ponderosa pine trees surrounded by snow-capped Big Bear Mountains. The multi-terrain snowshoe tours are customized to each group so you can choose to go easy, go hard or any combination. The beauty of snowshoeing is that there are many trails you can enjoy that are not accessible via snowboarding or skiing, immersing you in the peace and quiet of the Big Bear wilderness. The snowshoeing tour is fun for all ability levels, and they provide your equipment (snowshoes and trekking poles) and training with experienced guides. Snowshoeing is a way to experience nature around Big Bear in a traditional winter fashion that is simply not available in other trekking methods. We highly suggest that you try out this uniquely Big Bear tour to see more around the lake and mountain areas than you could ever dream of seeing.

Action Tours California

Action Tours California is Big Bear Valley’s one and only stop for Zipline and Segway tours. Both tours are offered year-round and in the winter months, they also offer scenic snowshoe tours. Their zipline course contains 9 unique runs and a suspension bridge at an elevation near 8,000 ft.  You will also travel off-road in their vehicles to and from the zipline site with fantastic views of Johnson Valley and Mt. San Gorgonio with the round trip tour time lasting approximately 3 hours. The tour guides on the zipline are really what sets them apart and really make for a fantastic experience.

Segway Tours

Their Segway tours take you through the village of Big Bear and down to the water as you learn about the history of the valley and take in the amazing views of the lake and snow-crested mountain tops in the winter months. If you’re lucky you may even catch one of our resident Bald Eagles, Golden Eagles, or Hawks flying over the lake or perching in a nearby tree. Their snowshoe tours take you deep into the national forest and offer you a chance to discover Big Bear off-pavement and on the trail in areas that you would likely not discover on your own. Once you are done you can warm up with a cup of hot cocoa or coffee before heading back to the office.

Zipline Tours

Action Tours opened with just the zipline tours 12 years ago after the owner discovered zip lining while on vacation with her family in another state. She fell in love and upon returning home she decided to open the first zipline in the state of California right here in the Big Bear Valley. They remained the only zipline in the state for several years before others caught wind of the thrilling adventure. After years of success with the zipline, they began branching out and opened the Segway tours. Then in more recent years, Action Tours began hosting snowshoe tours.

Enjoy four seasons

One of the great things about Action Tours is their tour diversity. Not only are they located in a beautiful four-season resort town that offers exclusive views and seasonal attractions on each tour, but they also offer a unique variety of tours that allow you to enjoy your experience here in a way that feels fun, safe, and exciting. This is one of the reasons they attract guests of all ages; though they do see young adults and families with teens and adult children quite often on their tours.  Don’t let that hold you back though- their oldest zipline participant was 94 years young and he did in fact finish all 9 lines!

Themed Zipline Tours

The zipline tour is definitely the most popular activity they have and throughout the year you are likely to find themed events. One of the most popular is the Pumpkin Smash Tour which takes place in late September and runs through the month of October. This is a great way to add to the fun of the zipline tour by offering guests the chance to throw a hand-sized pumpkin at a target while ziplining and if you are lucky enough to hit the target they have a prize package waiting for you back at the office. A Destination Big Bear office favorite is the Zip and Sip tour which runs all year long as a promotional offer with Barrel 33 in the village area of Big Bear. Guests 21 and up can purchase wine or craft beer tasting passes along with their zipline tour and then they are given the opportunity to relax and sample California wine and seasonal craft beer after their tour.

Stay and Save

Destination Big Bear works with Action Tours as well to bring guests 10% off of the tour of your choice! Action Tours also works with the Southern California organizations to offer tours for family reunions and work retreats as well as multi-tour packages with lunches included for those looking for a well-rounded trip filled with fun and adventure. They also serve as a popular venue for local Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts looking to earn badges, the valley’s local summer camps, and the Wounded Warrior Project as well as many colleges and other service groups. They love the Big Bear community and all of the guests that visit them from around the world which is why they are a fantastic representation of a local business that treats their guests like family.

This was a very cool cost effective tour!

Our flight was delayed so we left the airport to explore a bit! We found this tour and I am so glad we did. It was so nice going at our own pace and we learned even more than we did exploring the castle and fort the day before. The narrator had an engaging voice and the info was interesting and not too overwhelming. Our tour took about 1 hour and 45 mins, we stopped for some frozen yogurt and checked out the convent (very nice bathrooms here) for detours.

Great on NH's Kancamagus Hwy

Used this in New Hampshire while driving on the Kancamagus Highway. Fantastic! Loved the history and stories. Also the prompts for turnoffs was very helpful on the curvy road, making sure we didn't miss any turns. There was no cell service in the highway which made the GPS tracking all the more valuable. Will definitely get other guides as we travel!

Thank you for your kind review Lisa. Looking forward to enriching your future travels with our self-guided tours!

Glacier National Park: Going to the Sun Road

Hi Tina. This was a lot of firsts. First time to visit Glacier National Park, 1st time to drive the "Going to the Sun Road", and 1st time to use your self guided tour app. We had an amazing trip and the app worked exactly as described. Really like how the GPS functioned although I had no cell service. It gave us a heads up description of each upcoming site and if there was a hiking trail, it gave an accurate scale of the difficulty. We used it going both ways. Really made this a very productive experience.

A perfect way for self guided touring!

This was a perfect way for us to explore Kauai! For less that $10 we got 2 tours of the island, and using the app was easy. It gave us directions to get to the route starting point and then narrated directions and location specific info as we traveled along the route. It even provided some traditional Hawaiian music as we traveled. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will be using this app on our future travels.

We have used many Action Tour Guides, and we recommend them without reservation.

We have used several Action Tour Guides over the last two years including Arches, Zion, Bryce, Canyonland, Capitol Reef, Grand Staircase Escalante, Monument Valley, Glacier, Grand Teton, Yellowstone, and Rocky Mountain. They are easy to use and quite informative. They definitely enhance any visit to a National Park. They are not as good as a tour with a live guide, but they can be used at any time and are far less expensive. Be sure to download them in an area with adequate cell reception before you enter the Park. I recommend them with no reservation.

Thank you Allan for your recommendation!

We downloaded the Action Tour Guide for…Joshua Tree National Park

We downloaded the Action Tour Guide for Joshua Tree National Park on a friend's recommendation. It exceeded our expectations. Very cool how the app can use GPS tracking, even with no cell signal. We found the tour guide to be informative and entertaining. I can't imagine now, a first time visit without a guide.

Date of experience : February 08, 2023

Thank you Jim. If you are interested, we do have over 100+ tours across US. You can subscribe to Action+ that gives you unlimited access to all these tours for a year.

Great, super informative tour that kept me and my wife and son entertained. It was nice being able to go at our own pace and even pull off for lunch and continue after. 100% recommend doing it this way if you visit Gettysburg.

Date of experience : June 11, 2023

Thank you Asaf!

Saved our Joshua Tree trip

Got the tour for Joshua Tree after our trip included a dangerous heat wave (it was 111F/44C outside). This tour allowed us to both see things we would have missed and to know where to get out and brave the heat for the really interesting stuff. The only hiccup for us is that the map never loaded, so the instructions "follow the map to the next destination" were more of a guess (as there are really one two main roads, it wasn't much of a guess).

Date of experience : June 16, 2022

Thank you for your review Jonathan. We have noted the issue you faced and my development team has rectified the same.

Smoky Mountain Tour

We were staying in Gatlinburg so bought the Smoky Mountains tour. The tour itself was excellent - everything worked properly and it was easy to navigate (I did try it out at home first to ensure everything downloaded correctly). The only problem we had was not being able to drive at the recommended slower speed since we were in town on Labor Day weekend and the traffic was relentless - but that was no fault of the app. I would recommend the Action Tour Guide.

Thank you for your review Valerie. We have taken note of the traffic concern and will make edits as required.

Loved our joshua tree tour

I took the tour in Joshua Tree and was pleasantly surprised by how informative it was. A bit of an issue to start but that was probably because of our lack of tech know how. The app worked well after we figured our starting point. Loved the narrator's voice and the attitude. Great pacing by thhe app and we stopped for longer durations especially at intersection rock and simply continued off when we were ready.

Date of experience : February 08, 2022

Thank you for your review Ellen. Glad you loved the Joshua Tree tour. Do try some of our other California tours in the vicinity.

It took a little while to get the app…

It took a little while to get the app connected to our gps, get to the starting place, and then get going on the actual tour. After all the kinks were worked out and we were on our way, everything went very smoothly. The turn by turn directions were accurate, each description of the monument was current with where we were, and the app was accurate even when we stopped for an extended period of time. It was an awesome way to hit the highlights and get perspective on such an important part of history.

Date of experience : October 07, 2022

Thank you for your wonderful review Kelly. We have taken note of your feedback and will work towards making our tour even better!

Easy to use and very informative

This app was easy to download and instructions were simple. We used this for Arches National Park. It was very informative and provided us with some great detail about the different viewpoints. The Tour Guide seemed to follow our path quite accurately and really allowed us to enjoy the park even more.

Date of experience : October 27, 2022

Thank you for the review Lisa. So happy to have made your Arches trip worthwhile!

This Action Tour Guide was outstanding

This Action Tour Guide was outstanding! We did download the entire guide while we had cell service. It walk us through all the features with historical background. It automatically started and stopper per our location even when we got off the standard route.

Date of experience : September 15, 2022

Hello my namesake! Thank you for your wonderful review!

I was so impressed with this company

I was so impressed with this company. I had a question about using the self-guided audio tour before purchasing. I contacted them by email about 8:30pm and had a response within minutes. I purchased the guide and downloaded as instructed. It worked perfectly! And gave me so much information! It made the Freedom Trail come to life. It was so fantastic that it “kept up” with me-starting just as I arrived at each location. Such a perfect way to take a walking tour!

Date of experience : September 22, 2022

Thank you for the lovely review Kate!

Gettysburg Battlefield Driving Tour

The audio tour of driving on the Gettysburg Battle Field was really perfect. It knew exactly where were were without data on (important because I don't have much) and the information presented was not too overwhelming in length. It held the attention of my 11 year old daughter as well, which was important because she won't learn if she doesn't listen! I would recommend this tour ... we were first time visitors to the field.

Date of experience : March 23, 2022

Thank you for an amazing review!

Terrible experience

Bought the walking and driving tour for Newport, Rhode Island. Both guides were terrible. The narration and map need to sync to the GPS locations. The driving tour allowed us a million u-turns because there was no advance notice and some of them were given AFTER the turn. Very disappointed in my first purchase.

Date of experience : August 24, 2022

Hi Jessica, disappointed to read the tour didn't work for you as expected. Our tours are thoroughly tested across devices while following the speed limits. Could you let me know the phone model you used.

A Perfect Guide to Joshua Tree National Park

Hello folks! We downloaded (ahead of time) the audio tour for Joshua Tree National Park. This tour had 3 starting points, so it was easy to plan our trip. Enjoyed the whole trip and stories. We started our trip at the Cottonwood Visitor Center. However, the road was closed due to a flash flood the previous night, so we ended up going to the Joshua Tree Visitor Center and restarted our tour there. Had no issues at all. Loved how we were able to stop and restart as needed. Would definitely recommend!!

Date of experience : August 10, 2022

Thank you for this amazing review Shoba. Last minute route changes can happen due to a variety of reasons and we are so glad you were easily able to take the tour from another starting point than previously planned.

Great experience! Strongly recommend!!

Great experience! So very well planned with apt instructions and pictures! I strongly recommend using this application. Download the tours before hand in case of internet challenges. It helps. We will be using it for our Yellowstone tour. I would like to encourage the team to create more and more such tours.

Date of experience : December 28, 2022

Thanks Bhakti! We do have 90+ tours and would love to you give you the Annual Subscription at a great price!

Repeat customer

Enjoyed using the actiontour app for the Gettysburg battlefields driving tour. The app worked great and suited our needs for a self-guided tour. If we had had more time we would have added in the two walking tours. The Gettysburg museum actually provided a link on their website to the actiontour app. We had previously used this app for the Freedom Trail walking tour in Boston. We have recommended it to friends.

Date of experience : July 25, 2022

Thank you for the recommendation Brenda!

Don’t hesitate. Download Action Tour Guide!

Action Tour Guide was an easy to use, informative and reasonable app. I would recommend it to anyone. Newport, RI is such an historic town with plenty to see and do. ATG routed our car through the important sites without being rushed. Our trip would not have been nearly as enjoyable without their assistance! Thanks, guys! Keep up the good work. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A great way to see Cape Anne.

We’ve been visitors to Gloucester 3 times before, but this is by far the best way to get acquainted with the area. We had a lot of fun on this drive! This was so cool… to have GPS track our progress and the narrator talks about what we see at the appropriate times! The tour is scenic and the audio is full of information that’s easy to listen to so we learned a lot as well. Since it was our first time seeing Rockport, there was a lot of background history that was a good introduction while seeing the sights. We would suggest giving clearer instructions about how the tour app actually proceeds. It needs to be stated better that the map will keep you apprised of your driving location as you move along, and that the app keeps track of it. The driver needs to know that the announcer will talk automatically when you reach the next point of interest. Maybe contacting the towns for better signage would help too. This was a great find for us and we’re really tickled that we found the app. I would definitely recommend the app and I’ll use it on future trips where it’s available.

Developer Response ,

Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review of the Gloucester tour on our app. We're thrilled to hear that you had a great time and found the tour both scenic and informative. We appreciate your feedback about the instructions and will work to make them clearer in the future. We're glad that you were able to discover new information about Rockport and that the app was a great addition to your trip. Better than a paid personal tour

My wife and I were planning a trip to Moab Utah and we wanted to do a tour of Arches national park. We were looking at tour companies trying to find something that would work with our schedule and interests. We found a few tours that would work for us but then we found this app. We decided to save some money and get the app, buy the arches tour and do it on our own time. This was the best decision we made on this vacation. This app is awesome. We felt like we were on a tour with a personal tour guide but we didn’t have to interact with them (or tip them) and we got to do everything at our own pace on our own time (great for introverts and independents) . The tour itself and the information was great. We found ourselves discussing the information we learned during the driving tour while we were hiking the features which was pretty neat. We felt we had a special experience that no one else around us had at an amazing price. I could not recommend this app enough for those that enjoy tours and learning but don’t want to be part of an actual tour group.
Thanks so much for your kind words! This is exactly why we created this app, so it’s great to hear about your experience at Arches. We offer tons of other tours from coast to coast, so don’t forget to check out our selection at ActionTourGuide.com when planning your next vacation!

Enjoyed the Tour of MV

I read all the reviews before purchasing the Martha’s Vineyard tour and it seemed to me that we just had to know how to navigate the app to have a great experience. So, I bought it and we went on our tour. It was enjoyable. I liked all the narrative and learned things I hadn’t already known (I’ve come to MV quite often, but it’s a first time visit for my family.) I actually drove slower than the speed limit to enjoy the full narrative before the next one started. I loved how it would begin on it’s own when we reached each point. A couple times the end of the narrative got cut off by the new one, so I pulled over and we hit the repeat arrow to ensure we heard the whole thing. Not a big deal. I only wish the tour covered the western part of MV as well. We’ll be driving around there today to try and see the things your tour didn’t cover, like Aquinnah Lighthouse, etc.
Thank you for sharing your feedback on your Martha's Vineyard tour experience. We're delighted to hear that you found the tour enjoyable and appreciated the engaging narrative. We apologize for the slight inconvenience you faced with the overlapping narrations, but we're glad you were able to resolve it by utilizing the repeat function. We appreciate your suggestion to include the western part of Martha's Vineyard in our tour coverage. We'll definitely take it into consideration as we continue to enhance the tour experience for our visitors. Thank you once again for choosing our tour, and we hope you have a fantastic time exploring the remaining sights on the island.

COLORADO SNOWMOBILE TOURS STARTING AT ONLY $250

Our action snowmobile tour.

action tours

Our Action tours are for riders that want a faster pace! We don’t want any of our guests going faster than they feel comfortable. No one gets left behind on any of our tours, so all of our tours only go as fast as the slowest driver in the group! Please book the SCENIC TOUR if you want to go slow or you will hold up the other riders.

Action tours normally travel at 15 to 30 mph and may go faster or slower at times. The big difference between the HEENEY OUTPOST Action Tour and our Mountain Top Action Tour at the BIRDSEYE OUTPOST is the difficulty of the trail system.

The Mountain Top Action Tour at Birdseye has a more challenging trails with steeper climbs and altitudes up to 12,600 feet. The Heeney Action Tour uses the same trail system as the Heeney Scenic Tour and you can add Snow Tubing to the Heeney Action Tour ( See Action Tour with Snow Tubing )

**MUST HAVE A VALID LEARNER’S PERMIT OR DRIVER’S LICENSE TO DRIVE A SNOWMOBILE**

ACTION SNOWMOBILE TOURS

Action Tour

Difficulty Level

Intermediate

The Heeney Outpost Action Snowmobile Tour is a faster paced ride than the Heeney Scenic Tour. Both of these tours take you up the mountain, rewarding you with expansive views that you only get with an elevated overlook. On a clear day, you can see over 40 miles and look over the top of the Continental Divide at Rocky Mountain National Park and north to Rabbit Ears Pass . If it’s really clear, you can see mountains over 70 miles away!

First, you will receive instruction on how to operate the snowmobile at the beginning of the tour. Next, you will head out onto the the trail that takes you up the mountain.

During your tour, your guide will stop you at great places to take pictures and at the Cocoa Cabin so you can warm up, sipping hot chocolate while overlooking the Eagles Nest Wilderness . Also, let your guide know if you want to open up the throttle on the 3/4 mile long track . You can also let your kids ride the kiddie snowmobiles at this stop.

MOUNTAIN TOP ACTION TOUR

The Mountain Top Action Snowmobile Tour at the Birdseye Outpost is the great choice if you want to look across the Mountain Tops from an elevation over 12,000 feet above sea level. With many of these trails being above treeline, drifting snow can change the trail very quickly. Your guide will show you how to use your body to balance the snowmobile where the trail is not flat. Most people who love adventure rave about how much fun this tour is; we even have many first time snowmobilers take this tour and have a great time! Previous experience with atvs and dirt bikes really helps.

On a clear day, you can see up to 14 of the tallest mountains in the Rockies including Mt. Elbert the Tallest! Make sure you ask your guide to stop at the Cocoa Hut to enjoy some free hot chocolate and let the kids ride the kiddie snowmobiles if you want to — this often gets skipped unless requested to your guide .

Please know that you control your snowmobile! If you have any concerns, you may stop your snowmobile at any time and your guide will happily come to help you.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

This place not only was affordable but compared to all the other surrounding locations it definitely was more personalized and friendly! Our guides name was Tim and he not only took us over 3 mountain ranges and drop a bucket load of knowledge on us about the area he made myself and friends want to come back and do the advanced course. The views we had were incredible at 12500… read more →

High Country snowmobile Tours was amazing. We saw some of he most amazing views. We first took the Mountain top tour then came back for more fun on the advance course ride. Our guide was super fun and friendly both times. An experience I'll never forget!

We had a GREAT time. Trevor our guide was outstanding. This was our first time on a snow machine. We have been wanting to for a long time, but with an autistic son it just seemed like something we wouldn't be able to do. Or at least would have to find just the right moment without him in order to go. We had our chance and jumped. We took a… read more →

We had an awesome time! The views were amazing and our guide was very accommodating with the folks in our party that were new to snowmobiling. Highly recommend the snow tubing too, as the hill was awesome and getting pulled up the hill by your guide is almost as much fun as going down. Learn More

Heeney Outpost We had an absolutely wonderful time. The trail was stunning. Matt, our tour guide, was so helpful. He stopped at places and told us where we were and some stories about the them. He is very knowledgeable and very friendly. We had a great time and will definitely return!!! Learn More

Top of the mountain tour Great time with the guys on this adventure. Will was our guide and was great. Would say a bit of riding experience goes a ways in this more challenging trip up to 13,000ft. Anyone can do it but it was more challenging for some. Will showed good patience and helped with the less accustomed riders. Overall great time and would highly recommend to all! Might… read more →

Great tour. Recommend Devan as a guide. Got a group of guys together and went for the scenic tour. Our guide was Devan and she was great. Devan was great at moving at the speed that we wanted to move at. A great balance of sight seeing as well as riding. We were able to see some amazing views while having a great time riding around. Great tour and tubing! Did a 2 hour snowmobile and tube tour with family of 4 on 2 snowmobiles. Staff were very friendly and professional. Snowmobiles were in great shape and ran well. Trails were beautiful. This location is far outside of the towns and away from highways. Tubing was probably the best part! Although would recommend that there be another employee at that location to run both machines and… read more →

Great Snowmobile Trip! I've been on snowmobile trips before and this one was my favorite! We took the trip that was at Heeney Road and the scenery was perfect, going through forest, thick trees, and open high country. Great views and a place to "open it up a little"! Our guide, Matt, was great and lots of fun. Highly recommend this adventure! Learn More

It was Awesome We had the pleasure of doing this after an overnight snowfall. The powder was deep, like a foot deep. This made the snowmobile a little sluggish turning, but that was not an issue for us. it was absolutely beautiful driving in and out of Aspens and Evergreens, every turn was like a post card. The tour runs in and out, up and down across a 3000 acre… read more →

Ready to Ride Again! Truly enjoyed my first experience snowmobiling! I chose to ride with our guide, Matt and was able to really sit back and enjoy the breathtaking beauty before me! The staff was very welcoming and friendly Definitely will return for another ride! Many thanks Matt!!! Learn More

His career highlight so far came in 2016 when he shot a final-round 67 to overturn a three-stroke deficit and become England’s first Masters champion since Sir Nick Faldo won his third Green Jacket in 1996. Among his other prestigious victories are evens both the DP World Tour Championship, BMW PGA Championship and Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. PGA Tour legend calls on Tiger Woods to take action as LIV Golf merger dilemma wages on

Tom Watson has called on Tiger Woods and his fellow PGA Tour stars to finally get the pending peace deal with the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia (PIF) over the line.

The PGA Tour remain in negotiation with PIF after the two rival sides of golf 's civil war announced a shock framework agreement last June. The deal is expected to bring an end to the saga surrounding the American-based circuit and LIV Golf, reuniting the sport back together.

Over 10 months after the initial agreement was announced though, the two sides are still yet to finalise their agreement, having missed the initial December 31 deadline at the end of last year.

PGA Tour given compensation orders as Jack Nicklaus tells Jay Monahan he doesn't want to lie

With the clock ticking, PGA Tour stalwart Watson believes it is time for the playing membership to take action. "I hope that the players themselves took that to say, you know, we have to do something. We have to do something," he said whilst at this week's Masters Tournament.

"We all know it’s a difficult situation for professional golf right now. The players really kind of have control, I think. What do they want to do? We’ll see where it goes. We don’t have the information or the answers. I don’t think the PGA Tour or the LIV tour really have an answer right now.”

Having initially been left out of the first phase of discussions, the PGA Tour's player directors have played a role in recent negotiations amid pressure on circuit commissioner Jay Monahan. Woods - who is one of six directors - was one of a number of Tour representatives who attended a meeting with PIF in the Bahamas last month.

For all the latest on news, politics, sports, and showbiz from the USA, go to The Mirror US .

Woods discussed what the future may hold for both the PGA Tour and LIV Golf in the coming months at February's Genesis Invitational, and revealed those who made the move to the Saudi-backed league could well have their Tour bans rescinded. “We're looking into all the different models for pathways back,” Woods said.

“What that looks like, what the impact is for the players who have stayed and who have not left and how we make our product better going forward, there is no answer to that right now. We're looking at a very different - varying degrees of ideas and what that looks like in the short term, we don't know.

“We don't even know in the longer term what that looks like. Trust me, there's daily, weekly emails and talks about this and what this looks like for our tour going forward.” Woods is making only his second start of the season at the Masters this week, as he continues to battle for full fitness amid a string a recent injury issues.

The 82-time PGA Tour winner will have his eyes on winning a record-equalling sixth green jacket at Augusta, and kicks off his week alongside Max Homa and Jason Day in Thursday's opening round.

I've been feeling really good physically. I did a lot of gym work at the end of last year when I couldn't train but there have been no setbacks. Emma Raducanu on Sky Sports Tennis

She received a wildcard into the Qatar Open on Friday where she has been drawn to face world No 32 Anhelina Kalinina in a tough opening round match, with former French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko awaiting the winner.

Speaking on Sky Sports Tennis as the new channel launched, Raducanu said: "It's been good for me to have a few matches under my belt now and in practice I'm really improving some specific areas technically. I think that is really helping me and now it's just about implementing it more and more in matches. I started relatively recently after surgery, so it's only been two months of me back on court.

"I played a really good match in the first round last week [against Bouzkova] so I'm looking to build throughout the season.

"Honestly, I feel really good physically in terms of niggles or anything. The one thing is I haven't had a lot of matches in a week back to back, but I've been pulling up completely fine so that's refreshing for me because a lot of the time in 2022 and 2023 I was hurt after one match.

Emma Raducanu breezes past Marie Bouzkova in Abu Dhabi

Raducanu, who has reunited with childhood coach Nick Cavaday, added: "My main goal is to stay healthy injury-wise, sickness-wise, also another goal is consistency. One thing I needed to do after Australia was that I knew I had areas to develop and obviously when you start working with a new coach they implement new things, so you want to give yourself time to do that, but on the tour there is no time.

"In recent months I made a few technical tweaks so I mean to try and change something technically it's difficult. You start with hand feeds, baskets, drilling, point play and then match play. I think I made some tweaks straight after Australia into Abu Dhabi and seeing them in the first-round match was a real positive for me. That's a week of practice and seeing it come through was encouraging."

Raducanu highlights

Where could Raducanu play after Qatar?

The first two WTA 1000 tournaments of the season are in Doha from February 11 - when our dedicated Sky Sports Tennis channel launched - and Dubai on February 18.

Whether Raducanu plays Dubai will likely depend if she receives another wildcard, as her ranking is currently not high enough to get into the main draw.

She is ranked at No 296 in the world although she is set to rise to No 261 following her latest win. Not even her protected ranking (which is given to players who are out of action for an extended period) of No 103 is enough to get into the draw at most top tournaments.

But given the fact she is a former Grand Slam champion and draws in big crowds, there is a high possibility she will be offered wildcards into the main draw of many future tournaments.

action tours

After that, we could well see her at Indian Wells in early March.

The third WTA 1000 of the season is set in the California desert and is known as the unofficial fifth Grand Slam. It is one of the biggest tournaments on the calendar as it has a larger draw size of 128 singles players. The Miami Open which follows will also be an option for her.

Whether we will see Raducanu represent Great Britain in the Billie Jean King Cup or the Paris Olympics is not yet known. Great Britain play France again on April 12-13, but Raducanu may not feature.

The tie will be played on indoor clay, which is the same surface as the following week's tournament in Stuttgart, where Raducanu is likely to play as it is organised by Porsche, one of her sponsors.

Last year she lost in the first round while in 2022 she made the quarter-final.

What is a protected ranking?

A player who is out of competition for more than six months but less than one year may use her special ranking for up to eight tournaments in a one-year period. A player who is out of competition for one year or more may use her special ranking for up to 12 tournaments in a one-year period. If a player is out of competition due to pregnancy or a medical condition, she is allowed three years to use her special ranking. In the event of pregnancy, the time period is calculated from the birth of the child. Upon her return, a player is eligible to use her special ranking for seeding purposes at the first eight WTA tournaments she plays. A player may freeze her ranking up to two times. Under the previous rule, a player was allowed to freeze her ranking just once.

Masters 2024 props, golf odds: Expert reveals top PGA Tour prop bets, parlay picks for Augusta National

Mike mcclure locked in his expert pga golf prop picks and parlay for the masters 2024 at augusta national.

action tours

The first 2024 Masters tee times will begin at 10:30 a.m. ET on Thursday after weather delayed the start of the opening round. At 100-1 to win outright in the 2024 Masters odds, it's unlikely that Tiger Woods will pick up his sixth career green jacket this week at the Masters 2024. However, there are still plenty of intriguing Masters Tiger props on the board for golf bettors to consider before he tees off. The latest 2024 Masters prop bets list Woods' Round 1 score over/under at 73.5, with the Over favored at -165 (risk $165 to win $100).

Other Tiger prop picks include a top-10 overall finish paying +900 and a top-20 performance returning +350. Which 2024 Masters props should you target involving Woods and every other golfer in the 2024 Masters field? Before locking in your 2024 Masters prop picks or entering Masters pool picks, you need to see what SportsLine DFS pro and PGA expert Mike McClure has to say .

McClure is a DFS legend with over $2 million in career winnings, and he's been red-hot on his PGA picks dating back to the PGA Tour restart in June of 2020. McClure uses his proprietary simulation model to analyze the field and crush his  golf picks . He is up almost $9,500 on his best bets since the restart.

McClure's model predicted Jon Rahm would finish on top of the leaderboard at the 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions and The American Express. At the 2023 Masters, the model was all over Rahm's second career major victory heading into the weekend. It was the second straight Masters win for the model, which also nailed Scheffler winning in 2022.

This same model has also nailed a whopping 10 majors entering the weekend. Anyone who has followed McClure's picks has seen massive returns.

Now, McClure has dialed in on the Masters golf tournament and just locked in his top prop picks and PGA predictions. You can only see McClure's Masters 2024 prop picks at SportsLine .

Top 2024 Masters prop picks

We can tell you that one of McClure's favorite Masters prop picks is Ludvig Aberg to be the top debutant at +275. Despite turning pro less than a year ago, Aberg comes to Augusta in strong form. He's already picked up wins on both the PGA Tour and European Tour in the past seven months.

He's also made every cut during his 2024 PGA Tour schedule and hasn't finished worse than 25th in his past six events. His average finish position during that span is 12.8 and he's posted four rounds of 66 or lower this year, including an astonishing 63 in Round 4 of the Sentry. Wyndham Clark is the only other first-time Masters player who can claim a comparable recent run to Aberg, so McClure loves the value of betting on Aberg at a return that approaches 3-1.  You can see who else to back at SportsLine .

How to make Masters 2024 prop picks

McClure has also locked in a slew of other prop bets for the 2024 Masters, including a prop that pays almost 20-1 and comes from an unlikely player. You can find out who it is, and check out all of McClure's Masters prop picks at SportsLine .

Who wins the Masters 2024, and which golfer should you target for almost a 20-1 payout? Visit SportsLine now to get Mike McClure's Masters 2024 prop picks, all from the golf expert who is up almost $9,500 on his best bets since 2020 , and find out.
