Air Link

Flights to Dubbo, NSW

The gateway to Western NSW, Dubbo is where the Air Link story began, and where it continues today. Dubbo is a thriving regional city, with strong connections to Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne through the major airlines. Air Link fill the niche that a large airline cannot, offering tailored flights for clients on charter aircraft , or scheduled services to Bourke , Walgett and Lightning Ridge.

Flights to Dubbo can also be flown as on-demand charters by Air Link from either Sydney, or anywhere within Australia, in whichever of our aircraft that suits your requirements. There are poor weather approaches, runway lighting and aviation fuel at Dubbo airport, so we can fly 24/7, rain or shine.

airlink travel sydney

Aircraft Based in Dubbo

Air Link’s largest base is in Dubbo, where the majority of our fleet, and maintenance facility is located. As requirements vary, we move our fleet from base to base, but typically, we always have a couple of charter aircraft on standby in Dubbo for ad-hoc requirements, as well as our fleet for scheduled services to Walgett, Bourke and Lightning Ridge.

Air Link Base

Adjacent to the main airport terminal at Dubbo, is Air Link’s office and base. We use the Air Link base for private charters, and a more discreet arrival/exit for passengers who choose it. The Lounge is air conditioned, with refreshments provided for guests flying with us. Find Air Link at 22 Walters Way, Dubbo Airport.

Dubbo Airport has a large air conditioned passenger terminal with security screening, hire cars, and of course separate Male/Female toilets. For guests flying with Air Link, there is comfortable lounge seating and a bar/cafe for the purchase of refreshments inside the terminal.

Availability & Aircraft

Dubbo (YSDU) has no restrictions on the type of aircraft we can fly in, or out. There are no curfews, and only occasional weather delays in summer due to thunderstorms or rain.

Seasonal Weather

Dubbo is located in the heart of NSW, and the city climate is generally pleasant all year round. Summer temperatures range from 25-40 degrees C, with afternoon storms occasionally rolling through to bring much needed rain. In Winter, it gets cold at night (occasionally down to -5 degrees) with a top of around 25 in the day. Why do we mention all this? Air Link operate aircraft fully equipped to handle such weather events, with on board Weather Radar, Flight in Known Icing certification (turbine only) and Synthetic Vision (turbine only).

Fuel – 24/7

When it comes to regional air charter, the availability of fuel may impact whether we need to stop along the way, or fly direct. Dubbo Airport has 24/7 fuel availability for all aircraft, allowing us to refuel prior to departure. This saves times, and gives you the maximum range possible for your flight.

Connecting Flights

Are you connecting from an international or domestic flight with the airlines, and need a transfer somewhere regional? We’ve been there, and know how to streamline the process with van transfers from your airline’s baggage pickup direct to our aircraft on the tarmac. We’ll have you back in the air and direct to your final destination in no time.

Other Airports

Did you know we fly to every airport in Australia, including homestead airstrips and mine sites? You do now! Our charter services are the best in the country, and our airline services the below airports 3 times each week.

  • Walgett Airport
  • Bourke Airport
  • Dubbo Airport
  • Lightning Ridge Airport

A city of iconic attractions and brilliant beaches, Sydney is a destination you'll never forget.

Sydney is home to must-visit icons like the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House, but this Harbour City is constantly evolving. New rooftop bars, theatre shows and designer shops pop up at every turn, and the urban excitement is perfectly balanced by afternoons spent lying on the sand. Plus, with diverse destinations at its doorstep, Sydney is the perfect base for day trips and weekends away.

Sydney/Warrane is home to a number of distinct First Nations groups, spanning from the beaches of Bondi out to the Blue Mountains. Warrane refers to the area now known as Circular Quay and Sydney Cove specifically.

Aboriginal culture is vibrant across the city, and you can experience it on cultural tours, exhibitions and events throughout the year.

When it comes to weather , Sydney is quite predictable and experiences four distinct seasons. The warmer months are commonly from November to February, with the cooler months being March to August.

  • High season: Spring and summer (November to February)
  • Low season: Winter (June to August)
  • Don’t miss: The long list of festivals and events happening all year long

Throughout Sydney, you’ll find accessible attractions , museums and galleries , heritage landmarks and more.
