The service here was absolutely abysmal, waited for hours only the be constantly accosted by people getting assmad about employees standing around making easy money when you don't even work there. Capitalism is the real problem here I know but no one should have to look up reviews before finding a place to get help. It's advertised as being a secular treatment center but it's a lie, the whole program basically boils down to if you're having a hard time and you ask god hard enough he will fix you. There's such high turnover in the staff that in just a few days they've cycled through more people than an Amazon fulfillment center. If you're leaving they will try dirty tricks to get you to stay like calling your contacts without your permission upon which they will twist words to make it easier for them to keep you against your will even if you came there of your own volition seeking help. The food was pretty lame too.

Was honestly one of the worst experiences I've ever had people were very nice but I was forced to do things I didn't want to do under the threat of becoming homeless in Kentucky (I'm from chicago) and then there's also absolutely nothing to do here they told us we'd be hiking or walking atleast doing something anything other than just sitting there and that's the only thing we did all day

The nursing staff in building 3 were especially distinguished in their daily duties. Abby and Savannah went above and beyond and made the most difficult part of the process much more tolerable. Everything you need to know about the Paducah IOP & Suboxone clinic.

How long is the Paducah program?

• The IOP program here lasts from 6-8 weeks typically. Regular outpatient (OP) therapy can be continued if needed, which usually drops to just one appointment a week.
• The MAT program (Suboxone Maintenance) typically lasts six months. The clinic works with you to develop a plan to taper off eventually. On a case-by-case basis, patients are in the program for more than a year.

What is the goal of the Paducah program?

• Treatment here isn’t just about getting sober. It’s about building a life and mindset that makes you want to stay sober long-term.
• You learn a variety of coping skills and are held accountable during the critical first 45-60 days, which is when the majority of relapses happen.

What if I have issues like trauma or anxiety too?

• More than 70% of patients at this clinic deal with other mental health issues. The IOP program is needed to deal with these issues. Suboxone Maintenance is not enough.
• The most common dual diagnoses here: Depression, Anxiety, PTSD / Trauma, Bipolar and disordered eating.
• Other underlying issues here that require treatment but aren’t an official diagnosis: social isolation, low self-esteem, relationship/family conflict, anger management and stress management.
• Underlying issues keep you trapped in the cycle of addiction. Treatment here treats these issues with the same level of focus as the drugs and alcohol.

Will anyone find out I'm going to the clinic?

• Even though you’re making a super positive decision to get treatment, no one has to know.
• Your privacy is protected by federal law. Your family and employer won’t be alerted, even if you give your insurance information.
• It’s normal to be worried about being judged, but it’s much more likely that people judge you for being high, thinking you’re acting normal or being too hungover to show up. Remember, getting help is a good thing!

What is the city of Paducah doing about the opioid crisis?

• The Drug and Vice Enforcement Unit (DAVE) is a branch of the Paducah Police Department that works to:
• 1.) Seize narcotics from leaking into McCracken County and surrounding counties like Marshall County, Graves County, Carlisle County and Ballard County.
• 2.) Participates in education around the community, partnering with health professionals to teach people the dangers of opioid abuse.
• 3.) Provides resources for McCracken County Drug Court.
• The McCracken County Drug Court presides over drug possession and drug-related cases to offer treatment as an alternative to incarceration. Several years ago, the court received a $1.2 million grant as a way to fight crime in the area.
