I ask because they seem to be so new that I can find no questions/reviews/comments on their service at all online. Booking a room for our chosen hotel in Mexico in 2018 works out at around £800 cheaper than anywhere else I can find so you will see the reason for my interest!

My opinion is that I wouldn't make any assumptions about their credibility or not. I see this bedbank agency was recently sold by TIU where it had been operating as a separate company, to private equity. I think many people here discourage procuring rooms through bedbanks, because they often cancel reservations for those who pay deeply discounted rates, sometimes with very little notice. I stick with larger, more reputable OTA's, or better yet book direct.

Just the pathetic name turns me off.

Everyone has to start somewhere, but I'm firmly in the 'wait and see' camp on this one. My instinct is that they will prove to be a disppointing company in the end.

It is a scam site!

It does the job, but not as it should!

It show lowered prices and charges at least +20 EURs.

I saw their offer in scyscanner radar for 150 EUR, it showed 160 on lol.travel website and on the last payment page it was still 160 EUR, but in my bank statement it showed as 170 EUR.

So keep in mind that 150 EUR in offer list is at least -170 EUR in you bank account.

To poster #5 above. You are saying it's a scam site, but your username loltravel2017 seems to suggest you work for or represent that company. On TripAdvisor the company Representatives usually choose the name of their company as their screename,

So, if you do not work for or officially represent loltravel then I suggest you change your username immediately to something else so people do not mistake you for an official representative of loltravel.

That's good advice as always Avanti, but I get the feeling that the poster won't ever be coming back.

We have booked a room, but after calling the hotel, there were no rooms available, because the were renovating. LOL has charged our creditcard despiten of. I hope to get my money back. This was once, but also the last time I booked there.

We booked a room in Koh Samui and had no Problems. The Price on Booking.com and agoda was 5 Times more. We made a good choice!

The brand is owned by Easy Market S.p.A., and our headquarters are in Rimini, Via Consolare 51/C.

So it's a company owned by a company who are using it as another company.

Would complaints go to Lol in Italy or to EasyMarket in Jersey or to make a complaint.

Reservamos un vuelo a Tailandia y había un error el el nombre de uno de los pasajero «Viginia» en vez de «Virginia», le dijimos que lo rectificasen y pretenden que paguemos 2000 por un vuelo nuevo para ella y encima cobrarnos por tasas de gestión, lo cual es totalmente contrario a la normativa de protección de datos y además es echarle mucha cara, pues Air China, que es el operador del vuelo, permite rectificar los datos sin coste ni problema alguno a quien contrate directamente con ellos, ¿para qué contratamos entonces con una agencía?

Thank God for Trustpilot

Thank God for Trustpilot. I was about to buy a ticket with lol.travel. I checked the prices the the airlines and couldn't understand the huge price difference. I search my tickets in business class using Kayak.com first and then do my home work. After reading the horror stories from other clients, I decided to stay away from lol. I guess the name says it all.... "lot's of laughter", the consequence of a "joke"

Horrible experience

Horrible experience. I booked plane ticket with them. Airlines cancelled the flight and although it is not their fault, the way they trying to resolve these cases is horrible. I got zero explanations only a request to charge additional 55 eur in order to change the ticket. Once asked how it is fair? They push at you rules and conditions that they can do that and it is fair fee to pay for case handling. So if airlines keeps cancelling it can become golden tickets at the end. And it is actually a trap too as the same fee will be taken in order to return money. How to resolve it without being charge more and more?? Lol.tavel DO BETTER! People be careful. They only claim to be cheap. It is a trap that they are actually offering. And once you in, there is no escape. Ps. They basically irresponsive now, wondering how little they care about they customers.

Please don't use this company. You can't reach out to them over the phone. Emergency assistance has no knowledge. They charged $600 to move tickets. Unreliable service. Avoid these people if you in Australia.

Extremely unreliable

Extremely unreliable. They sent us confirmation of reservation and took the money from our bank account. Then the next day they cancelled the flight and claimed refunding the money but nothing was refunded and didn't give us the transaction number by which they refunded the money. I hope the problem is resolved or else I would request from Skyscanner to stop collaborating with this agency!

Based on my worse experience with lol travel

Based on my experience with lol travel, I came to know that you do not have ample amount of inforamtion about hotels, which you listed on your webpage, the hotels showed on your website absolutely different inforamtion about the accommodations then the reality, which not onl harm the image of your plateform, but the local people. I have had a terrible experience and would never ask lol.travels to book any hotel for my in future.

Not trustable at all

Its has been 14 days for now and they didnt refund my money, the reservation was done th 6th of Feb, they reply that the airlines is not confirming and I have to pay 700 euros more to confirm, and told them not interested and to refund the money, and no money refund until now. I tried other sites booking, they just from beginning doesn't accept the booking on the same flight, and doesn't take your money and then don't refund it. This is not profissional at all, and they are not recommended at all. Be a ware of booking anything with them, they are not serious trustable.

Scammers over charged 50 euro extra by saying price went up while you were paying the flight

Yesterday we purchesed a flight ticket from this company and we found out that they charged is €50 more 775 euro insted of 725. We contacted tham and they said that by the time we pressed pay the price went up by €50. I have insisted that before I pressed pay the amount showing was still 725 and the system did not advise us that the price went up. Funny enough I have checked again now and the price is still on 725 euro , so what the bloody hell they are talking about!!!! This is called cheating and steeling money never ever again I will use this site. scammers that's what you are !!!!! Lol, travel is a perfect name as this company is a bloody JOKE. Shame on you to steal money

This is how it goes with this website; you think you have a confirmed flight ticket but you don’t.. Read below what will happen after you confirmed your payment: Hello Maria We thank you for your patience. Within 24 hours we shall to verify your reservation. DON'T WORRY: we are waiting for the airline to confirm the flight you have chosen. As soon as we receive the confirmation, we will send you an email containing your issued ticket. Then this; Dear customer, We received your reservation attempt. We inform you that the airline didn't confirm the reservation. If you are still interested in the reservation, we can rebook the flights for you. Flights are available, at the moment, at the following fare: € 1388.24 Now charging me double the price. I can even find a cheaper flight from that price they give. A huge waste of time! I hope to get my money back without a fight.

Biggest mistake to book ticket with Lol travel

Booking ticket with lol travel is the biggest mistake I have ever done in my life! I had to extend my holiday and so my flight date. I contacted their customer service which might be the worst customer service in the world. After days, they replied me with charges that I need to pay to extend my ticket. I replied my confirmation. But maybe 1/2 days later, they replied me saying the charge has increased by almost €180. And so on and so on. Very very very very slow and poor customer service. I had to book another ticket for $1300 in this December month. Biggest mistake man biggest mistake! You guys are true to your name! Laugh out loud!

Scam Warning - Worst travels LOL. travel

This is the worst experience we had ever. It not even worth a single star. We booked 3 rooms for the company executives in Park Inn Gurgaon, 282 civil lines the booking details below. 1. 7th of Dec Registration No 20221220453062 2. 7th and 8th of Dec Registration No 20221220453035 When the executives went to check-in on 7th Of December, the hotel desk people told that there is no booking form such a website(LOL.travels). We have prepaid the full amount of Rs.4383.42 and 22283.82 for this booking. There is no way to contact this lol travels except email that to they never reply. As last hope we are suing them in consumer court. Don't fall for this fake travels.

UNLAWFUL AND OFFENSIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES

In my 20+ years as a travel agent, I have never ever come across an agency which charges 55 Euros in order to "update the reservation" for a flight which has been cancelled at the expense of the customer (supposedly by the airline; TK 1056), except a short-lived attempt by some agencies during the pandemic. Such practice is unlawful among reputable agencies, not to mention presenting extremely bad customer service. Additionally, lol.travel is the only so-called travel agency in the world which provides absolutely no information as to their place of business, contact information, or any identifying data (my research shows that they are based in Rimini, Italy). There surely must be a reason why they are 1-star rated on several review sites. I intend to pursue this matter further, and contact my European partners and the EU supervisory agencies.

Dont buy ticket through lol.travel

Don't buy ticket from them. They will charge extra money showing European tax. Which is a scam. They charged me 245.00 euros for carrier imposed fee for Europe when my flight was direct from Canada to India. Every other booking was simple with other third party websites. All other websites show the amount they are going to charge you. but Lol.travel showed different price and added 245 euros extra. Without telling it to me. So be very careful. Don't buy through them.

Worst company ever

Worst company ever. Have searched for flight from Melbourne to Bali return Business Class. It was clearly advertised as business. After making the purchase the airline company sent me an economy class. Have raised the dispute with Lol.travel and this is what they reply was: “Dear customer, we are not responsible in this case for the error made form the Kayak webpage, you paid for the ECONOMY CLASS, not for business. However we are not able to provide you the full refund, if you need an upgrade you can double check with the airline directly.” They Claim that Kayak have made the mistake but Lol.travel is the one who is taking the money and misleading customers. 0/10 not happy. Transaction have been frozen on my end with the Bank.

We booked a hotel room studio suite. The sales cart took us to the payment with no place to confirm the room type. When we paid, the confirmation was for a standard size room at the studio rate. When we called to correct, we were told that it was our fault for not confirming the room before payment. Therefore, we booked the standard room. We then asked to cancel the reservation and they hung up on us. Use at your own risk.

Basically this company need to be short down. It's an organized criminal syndicate stealing from people. First they have the worst customer service and secondly they just steal directly from customers. I called them severely to change my booking and all they could do it to tell me that the FLEX I bought could not be changed 72 hours prior to departure. The reality is they purposely delayed my request just to tell me when it's less than 72 hours they can't change it. I am requesting for their address to sue them and put them out and. End their criminal company.

Absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced. Wont refund my money. I had to do his job for him. We had free cancellation and yet that still won't give us our money back. I booked a couple of different hotels and every single place has successfully given me my refund except this stupid company. Furthermore, when I called in regards to my refund the Operator begins to raise his voice. Every time I call he says ‘I can't do anything to help'. I had to call the hotel myself and get them to write an email stating that they're willing to give us a full refund and even with their support this pathetic excuse of a company won't give us our money back the greedy pieces of $#*!. There is a reason why so many people have given them the worst reviews. Please beware. I now have to take things to fair trade to see if they can help retrieve my money.

Absolutely STAY AWAY! From this travel company! They do not answer their phone line, and they refused to assist in any way via email. They are impossible to contact, and Absolutely useless as a travel agency I needed to change my flight and they would not even look up possible new flights for me. They told me to look them up, and then they refused any of my suggestions. Then the airlines told me the date switch was free, and lol.travel wanted to charge me the full cost of another flight, even though it didn't cost them a cent! In the end it was cheaper for me to book an entirely new ticket through another agency, and trash my ticket with lol.travel DO NOT BOOK YOUR TICKETS THROUGH lol.travel! Worst company I have ever dealt with. If I could give them a lower rating, I would. STAY AWAY!

Don't buy tickets from them. They will charge extra money. Which is a scam. They charged me an extra AED 153 from the original price they show on their website, even though they have not confirmed with me or made approval for the payments, it is show something on the website and the bank deducts other amounts. Every other booking was simple with other third-party websites. All other websites show the amount they are going to charge you. But Lol.travel showed different prices and added extra. Without telling me. So be very careful, not a trustee website at all. Don't buy through them. I already tried to call them many times and emailed them and later on they answer my email with no appropriate answer.

Te suben el precio al final. Es la típica estafa, cuando seleccionas el vuelo y después de páginas muy pesadas de servicios extremadamente caros, pones tu tarjeta de pago y te salta el mensaje de que el precio ha subido... y como sube! Unos 150 euros más caro! Qué perdida de tiempo, pero son ellos quiénes salen perdiendo. He sacado el mismo vuelo con otro operador y sin trampas. A la competencia que me voy! El precio en la pagina en pesos argentinos y pague en pesos argentinos, soy argentino en un hotel situado en argentina. pero en la tarjeta de credito me vino en dolares. y eso es complicado en argentina. porque el banco te lo debita al doble del cambio oficial por los impuestos luego te lo devuelve el año que viene en la liquidació anual de impuestos. en un pais con mas de 100% de inflación. lo que me devuelva va a ser basura

Problemas y no contestan

Tengo un problema con un vuelo contratado con ellos y no cogen el telefono NUNCA, y no contestan los correos NUNCA, es una impotencia tan grande, ya no se que hacer, más de un mes llevo llamando y enviando correos

Malísima agencia

No les pongo cero estrella porque no se puede. Te muestran una oferta de vuelo y cuando vas a comprar automáticamente se incrementa el valor. Aún así cometí el error de comprar el vuelo en lol.travel. Luego se canceló uno de los tramos del viaje sobre la fecha y me costó muchísimo comunicarme con la agencia. Mails, llamadas carísimas, mensajes, etc. Así durante tres días seguidos. Cuando por fin logré hablar con alguien, muy pocas horas antes de mi vuelo que era internacional, y con un nerviosismo que se podría haber solucionado mucho antes, me dijeron que me cambiaban el trayecto cobrandome un extra de 55€ por "gastos de gestión", una gestión que no fue problema mío, ya que la empresa fue quién cambió el plan. No recomiendo hacer reservas a través de lol.travel, ni volveré a reservar nada con ustedes jamás. Muy poco comprometidos y responsables, solo les importa facturar.👎🏼 Y por lo que veo a todos los clientes que escriben una mala reseña (la grandísima mayoría) les contestan el mismo verso de copiar y pegar.

Cogí dos billetes a Argentina con…

Cogí dos billetes a Argentina con escala en Canadá, sin saber que tenía que hacer el eta. A mi me lo otorgaron pero a mi pareja no. La empresa Lol.travel me sancionó con 250€ diciendo que solo me devolverían el resto, no la totalidad. Si bien fue un error mío tengan en cuenta antes de elegir esta empresa porque hay muchas cosas que uno no se entera y ya después es tarde, se lavan las manos. Además no cogen el teléfono, solo envían mails. Definitivamente no contrato más por aquí.

Compre un billete a un precio, al cabo de las horas recibo un mail diciendo que si quiero ese billete tengo que pagar 255 euros mas porque el precio ha subido, o si no me devuelven el dinero. Les pedi la devolución del dinero y ya llevo una semana y ni rastro del reembolso, ellos se escudan diciendo que es cosa de mi banco, pero es la primera empresa o web que tarda tanto en hacer un reembolso. Mi banco me ha dicho que es cosa de lol. travel. la verdad tendria que haber leido antes sobre ellos. porque yo necesito ese dinero para comprar el vuelo de nuevo. son unos impresentables.

Recomiendo no utilizar esta agencia. La aerolinea me hace un cambio de vuelo y me cobran 55 euros por cambiar el vuelo o 55 euros por cancelarlo. Son unos autenticos estafadores.

Compré los billetes de avión con lol.travel. Días después la Tap me envió un mail diciendo que hacían huelga el día de mi vuelo y que podía cambiar de día gratuitamente. Me puse en contacto con la agencia y me dijeron que para hacerlo tenía que pagar 55 euros, que ya me avisarían si cambiaban el vuelo. Me espavilé por mi cuenta LO CURIOSO FUE QUE DIEZ MINUTOS ANTES DE QUE SALIERA MI NUEVO VUELO, RECIBÍ UN MAIL DE LOL TRAVEL, INFORMANDOME QUE ME LO HABÍAN CAMBIADO. Good experience, just some items to improve in the customer experiencie

Initially my experience was a but scary because I bought my ticket and the booking reference sent via email didn't match with the airlines but if you actually create your account into lol.travel's portal you'll find your booking reference that matchs the airline. It's just a matter of improving their UX when sending confirmation emails. Besides that, I could fly and everything was good. The other pain I had is that, I paid for a FLEXIBLE GUARANTEE TICKET but it's kind of useless because when I was trying to use it, I should still pay a lot which was not super clear when buying. My bad experience on that end, is that I followed the steps that were in the terms and conditions and sent 7 different emails through their customer support form and didn't work. But then I could open a different case through their site's customer support (not through the portal) and I could receive a quick response from the team. So I'd say I can trust this company but they just need to improve the user experience and references to make the customers feel safe and understand that normally people pays too much for flights to not feel safe when something is needed. This is a SCAM or something

This is a SCAM or something. We booked 2 tickets more than a moth ago and they still haven't arrived. Where are they? We paid 600 eye for two tickets for Crete snd we have planned a whole friend trip and this is so disappointing and decussating that this can happen. Its either a refund or something !!

On April 6, I made a reservation for a flight, which was very expensive. However, to this day, I have not received my ticket or any update on the status of my reservation. Good service and prompt refund

I made a booking for an eight night stay at at a hotel in Alanya, Turkey with lol.travel.The price was hundreds of pounds cheaper than their closest competitor. Due to my becoming unwell I had to cancel ahead of leaving England. I had a partial refund per the booking terms and had great support from the customer service department. I had also checked with the hotel that my booking was valid. I would happily book again with lol ....and, hopefully, be able to avail of said booking.

Avoid this website. NEVER process large transactions as it may result into glitching. I booked a ticket from Malta to Shanghai and it costs FORTUNES. The payment didn’t process and I had to contact my bank to stop the card. In my opinion, it’s a scam

Follow up review

This is my second review of lol.travel, actually more of a follow up to my original review as I had booked the hotel but had not actually stayed there at the time of writing so didn't really know the outcome. I'm very pleased to say that if I could give lol.travel ten stars I would! The hotel is amazing and everything was booked and organised exactly as lol.travel promised, all at an amazing price - far, far cheaper than any other booking agent could offer. Crooks! I was booking a flight for 3, as I entered all names and credit card info and click "confirm" button a pop-up appeared: "the price is no longer available, the new price is ..." - over 300€ higher. Of coure I refused to go on. Scammers!

Great experience.

Booked a hotel in tenerife through trivago as was the cheapest. Looked at reviews the next day and was quite concerned that we had been scammed so double checked with hotel to see if booking was active and it was. Went through to check in and everything was perfect, no issues whatsoever.

Check your currency before purchasing!!!

Clicked a link to a promotion which took me to Lol.travel. When I was satisfied with the offer I moved to purchase the ticket. For some reason, and I'm not saying that it was lol.travel's mistake, but the currency changed to euro without any request or clear indication! Needless to say I spent money I didn't have... I immediately e-mailed and requested a cancelation and a refund. Explaining my situation in detail. They then replied asking me to explain the situation in detail.... which I did again. I then later received an email which stated that I should confirm my decision and that I have till 7pm Italian time to do so... This was at 11 pm Italian time. I was very emotional and frustrated by how they could feel justified by giving such a small window which they claimed was 24hours for such a weighted decision. After nagging they agreed to: "We inform you that cancellation of your ticket outbound + inbound, before departure*, is possible with a penalty of € 92.00 for every adult passenger (2) + € 55.00 for our management fees) I know to some people this isn't much but my country that's almost a months rent....

I booked the Central Park West Hostel…

I booked the Central Park West Hostel just because of the very low price and was very surprised about some negative comments. Price/value relationship is excellent. Of course you should not expect luxury for $40!! I had everything I needed, the room was clean, my bathroom did not have a sink, but right next to my room I could use another bathroom. It suited perfectly to my needs. The staff were awesome and extremely helpful, the location with a few Metro lines around the corner, supermarkets very close, a few Restaurants, bus stops ver near. What else would you expect?

Don't buy with them

Their form in the website doesn't work. The telephone always says "all of our agents are busy" and then they hung up. Also, they will never give you back the money in case of illness.
