Take a trip down the Sacandaga River

This 3.5-mile trip is perfect for everyone, even the kids 5 years and up. Every raft has a Wild Waters trained raft guide that provides you and your family or group with a fun experience. The trip starts at the base of the Stewarts dam where you will Encounter the first thrilling rapid and paddle through ‘Vesuvius’ a large breaking wave that is sure to get everyone wet! Then enjoy a refreshing swim and float in the warm clean waters of the mile long swim section. Then your guide pulls you back into the raft for for the last big class 3 rapid. Feel the raft ride the large waves as you encounter ‘ The Dragons Back’ and ‘Sonni’s Hole’. Then you find yourself at the take out dripping wet with a big smile on your face and great memories.

We accommodate groups of 25 to 200 and are happy to custom tailor your group trip to fit your needs.

To qualify as a group, you must have 25 people or more and have a single payer. The trip leader is responsible for providing and collecting all release forms, ensuring that group members are aware of arrival time and meeting location, if not travelling together on group transportation, and correct clothing and footwear to be worn. It is the trip leader’s responsibility to arrive on time as our trips must depart on time. Late arrivals may miss their trip departure without refund or credit.

We Wash and Disinfect all personal gear after every use ( PFDs, Helmets, Spray Tops, Raft Boots, Wet Suits ) Every time!

We are the only outfitter located on the River. Located at the confluence of the Hudson and Sacandaga Rivers, just a short ride from both Lake George and Saratoga Springs. Your Trip ends back at our Raft Headquarters where you checked in, so there’s no need for a return bus trip. Spend more time on the River and less time on a bus!

We put the fun in rafting. Our rafts are equipped with water cannons and bailing buckets so the fun continues between the rapids. SOC has been providing fun memorable experiences for over 30 years!

Raft Down The River!

The Sacandaga River provides us with family fun 7 days a week, all summer long! It’s just 10 minutes from Lake George and is easily accessible for thrill seekers that are looking to spend part of the day on the water. The “Sac” has 3.5 miles of dam released Class II-III Whitewater. With a minimum age of 5, almost everyone can enjoy New York’s best 2 hour whitewater rafting trip. The Sacandaga is an affordable adventure for families or those looking to dip their toes into whitewater (you’ll be hooked afterwards, trust us).
