Safari Island Resort and Spa is located in the Heart of North Ari Atoll, Republic of Maldives. The size of the Island is approximately 30,000 square meters wide consisting of tall swaying palm trees and other greeneries. In addition, the Island is surrounded by white sandy beaches and crystal clear water, which includes one of the top house reefs of Maldives for snorkeling. Restaurants

Lagoon Restaurants. Shaded with a magnificent white roof, and floating over the lagoon the main restaurant is where breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided in an all-you-can-eat buffet style including lively Theme Nights. Sunday night dinner is Maldivian/Asian night with a themed menu and Soups, bread and desserts are homemade and the fresh, tropical fruits are delicious. The buffet lines also include live-action, cooking stations in which our chefs prepare your food to your preference.

Palm bar. Floating in the turquoise lagoon next to the main restaurant is the island bar where guests can enjoy drinks and leisure time. Open from morning until the last guest leaves, the bar also invites guests for daily happy hour (18:00 hrs – 19:30 hrs) with a 20% discount on all drinks. The bar has a Live Band performance once every 2 weeks on Monday.

Sun Down Bar. The sundown bar on a wooden deck with a view of the stunning lagoon turns into grand stairs at sundown when nature paints a different scene every dusk. The golden sun sinks beneath the horizon casting a multitude of orange, red, and pink hues across the sky and there is no place better to enjoy the show than at the sundown bar, accompanied by a drink or two.

Pool bar. The bar offers drinks & snacks. The pool bar is open: from 10:00 hrs – 22:00 hrs. Pool bar hosts a crab race every Tuesday night from 21:00 hrs – 22:30 hrs

• Baggage allowance is 25kg and 5kg hand luggage (subject to change without prior notice). Any excess luggage is chargeable and will have to be paid directly to the transfer provider.
• In the event of Force Majeure, the arrival and departure transfers may not be arranged at scheduled times resort is not liable for any compensation claims due to such delays.
• Seaplane operates only during daylight hours (0600 hrs – 1600 hrs). Hence, guests arriving on international flights will be required to check in at the seaplane counter in the international arrivals terminal before 1600hrs in order to be able to transfer to the resort on the same day or they will require overnight accommodation in Malé. They will be transferred to the lodge the following morning.

The resort is home to just 84 bungalows across the entire island, ensuring guests enjoy a relaxed and personalised experience at all times. Accommodation is available either directly on the beach or above the lagoon, and for those that simply can’t decide, Safari Island also features a selection of semi-water bungalows which boast both beach and lagoon access.

During their stay at Safari Island, guests can enjoy gourmet dining and drinking, sports and fitness facilities, and an onsite spa. Some of North Ari’s best scuba diving can also be found nearby, including the famous Fish Head dive site, just ten minutes from the resort. Safari Island’s partner dive centre, Joy Dive Maldives, is a professional and well-organised operation with more than 20 years of experience within the country. Thanks to this resort’s fantastic location, divers can explore some of North Ari’s best dive sites, including Fish head, Maaya Thila, Hafsa Thila, Manta Point, and Fesdu Wreck. And, as if that wasn’t enough, the resort’s own house reef features four entry points - each well-marked with buoys and lines to a depth of 20-metres - and can be explored by experienced buddy teams. House reef tanks can be transported by the dive centre staff and collected again upon surfacing.

To deliver the most personal and customised service for divers, dive schedules are planned on a day to day basis. Typically, guests can choose between daily one or two-tank half-day trips, or full-day excursions with up to three dives, as well as early morning and night dives. Shaded with a magnificent white roof, and floating over the lagoon the main restaurant is where breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided in an all-you-can-eat buffet style with variety of international and regional cuisines to please everyone's taste.

The skilful chefs offer selectable internation cuisine and ensures the best dining experience.

Enjoy buffer style meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner including lively theme nights. Sunday night dinner is Maldivian/Asian night with a themed menu and soups, breads and desserts are homemade and the fresh tropical fruits are delicous. The buffet lines also include live action cooking station which our chegs prepare your food as your preference. 

A Selected A La Carte Menu is available in the Restaurant which is chargeable. (Pre-order only)

Lagoo Restaurant opening hours:

• Breakfast - 07:30 am - 10:00 am
• Lunch - 12:30pm - 14:00 pm (every Friday lunch at 13:15 pm - 14:30 pm)
• Dinner - 19:30 pm - 21:00 pm  

Floating in the turquoise lagoon next to the main restarant is the island bar where guests may enjoy drinks and spend leisure time. Open from morning until the last guest leaves, the bar also invites guests for daily happy hour (18:00 - 19:30 hrs) with 20% discount on all drinks.

The coffee shop at the main bar also offers a range of coffee, light snacks or special meals which can be enjoyed in the spacious enviroment, seranaded by the sound of the waves and the salty ocean breeze.

Palm Bar will have a large bar counter area with seating inside and outside deck, over the lagoon, facing the seaview

The bar has Live Band perfermance once every 2 weeks on Monday.

Sundown Bar

The sundown bar set on a wooden deck with a view of the stunning lagoon turns into a splendid afair at sundown when nature paints a different scene every dusk. The golden sun sinks beneath the horizon casting a multitude of orange, red and pink hues across the sky and there is no place better to enjoy the show that at sundown bar, accompanied with a drink or two.

Pool Bar offers drinks & snacks. All Inclusive guests can enjoy their entitled drinks.

Pool bar is open from morning 10:00 - 22:00 hrs. 

Guests require to bring their own beach towels from the rooms if they want to use it in the pool opening hours 

The Pool is open from Morning 08:00 hrs - 18:00 hrs. Please note that high level of chlorine is put in the pool at night, therefore it is strictly prohibited to swim in the pool after 18:00 hrs for your own safety. 

Pool bar hosts crab race on every Tuesday night from 21:00 - 22:30hrs. Guests can choose their own crab from the bucket of crabs and place them in the racing track where you win FREE Beers if your crab crosses the line first.

Safari Island Resort

Safari Island is located in the Heart of North Ari Atoll, Republic of Maldives. The Size of the Island is approximately 30,000 Square meters. Distance from Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (Male’ international Airport) is about 60Km and takes about 25 minutes to reach the Island by Seaplane. 

The Island has its own luxury Safari Boats for the use of in-house guest for Free of Charge.( Stay 7 nights and have 01 Day free boat cursing, Stay 14 Nights and have 02 Days free boat cursing)

Time needed from Velana International Airport is 25 minutes by seaplane.

House reef is 7-8 meters distance from the beach and ideal for snorkeling and diving with live corals and many different kinds of living species.
