TUI Cruises launches Northern European voyages on 4 ships in summer 2023

TUI Cruises will send 4 of its ships to Northern Europe for the 2023 season.

All sailings are roundtrips from Germany's homeports Bremerhaven , Kiel or Warnemunde-Rostock , as announced by TUI. The range of voyages to Iceland has been expanded, with Mein Schiff 3 sailing for ~2 weeks to Iceland's Akureyri  and Reykjavik .

Other destinations in Northern Europe include Great Britain, Baltic/Scandinavia and Norway. Mein Schiff 1 will set sail from Bremerhaven to North Cape/Nordkapp, Norway . TUI said that Mein Schiff 4 starts from Kiel on Nordland and Baltic Sea itineraries. The boat is scheduled to sail to Spitsbergen three times, while Mein Schiff 6 also operates Baltic Sea routes.

According to TUI's current plans, two liners will spend summer 2023 in the Mediterranean.

Mein Schiff 2 sails from Palma de Mallorca (Balearic Spain) , while Mein Schiff 5 departs from Trieste (Italy) and Valletta Malta in the east including the Adriatic.

TUI Cruises presents routes for the 2023/24 winter season

March 29, 2022 - The routes of the Mein Schiff fleet for the winter season 2023/2024 can now be viewed. The destinations all lure with plenty of sun and soothing warmth. At the moment the winter timetables of five ships are presented. The Mein Schiff 3 route plans are expected to follow from the summer of this year.

Cruises on several continents are on offer. The Canary Islands are just as important as the United Arab Emirates, Central America and the Caribbean. Asian destinations are also on the agenda. TUI Cruises provides a rough overview of the destinations in the fleet that can be booked in the near future.

Mein Schiff 1

Mein Schiff 1 traveled from Las Palmas on Gran Canaria the islands of eternal spring. A highlight of the program is a seven-day trip to the Cape Verde Islands, off the northwest coast of Africa. Headed for are Mindelo on São Vicente and Praia on Santiago.

TUI River Cruises has today revealed details of its 2023 summer sailings which are on sale from today, with new Rhine cruises added to its programme.

TUI River Cruises for summer 2033 have gone on sale today - and the popular brand has announced three new itineraries are up for grabs.

Two of these are on the Rhine and one on the Main, the longest tributary of the Rhine.

This means holidaymakers have 21 itineraries in total to choose from when cruising with TUI in 2023, with cruises ranging from three nights to 14 nights.

TUI River Cruises , which launched in August this year, is offering itineraries Legends of the Rhine, North Rhine & The Netherlands Explorer and Jewels of Germany.

These will sail down the Rhine River visiting popular German hotspots including Frankfurt, Dusseldorf and Cologne as well as lesser-known destinations such as Boppard, Koblenz and Oberwesel.

The Legends of the Rhine itinerary will call at the river cruise line’s new port of call, Andernach - a beautiful town in the middle of the Rhine Valley.

The spot is home to a striking tower that has been keeping a watchful eye over the town since the 15th century.

If you sail on July 23, 2023, you can take in Mainz summer lights festival where the riverside promenade will be lined with food and souvenir stalls accompanied by live music and after sunset fireworks.

Those who sail this itinerary on August 4, 2023, will be able to experience the annual festival of 1,000 lights which has been going for 35 years.

Expect live bands and music shows during the day and a spectacular firework display in the evening which can be viewed from the top deck of the ship.

A third itinerary is The Bavarian Discovery - an Oktoberfest themed sailing departing from Frankfurt which visits eight ports of call in Germany – Wertheim, Wurzburg, Marktbreit, Bamberg, Nuremberg, Boppard, Regensburg and Passau.

You won't be short of beer on this trip! Guest experts will host onboard beer tastings as well as speaker events.

What's more, passengers will also be able to enjoy beer-focussed shore experiences from brewery visits and tastings to sightseeing tours.

In late October a new wine-themed cruise will join TUI River Cruises' programme.

Rhine Chateaux & Gateaux 2 will set sail on October 20, departing from Basel, Switzerland and calling at Breisach, Strasbourg, Mannheim, Rudesheim, Boppard, Koblenz and Frankfurt.

Guests will have the option to take part in wine-based shore experiences, from visiting wineries to tasting experiences.

Onboard the ship there will be themed events, guest speakers and tastings with experts.

TUI River Cruises Launches Nile Cruise With Fourth Ship, TUI Al Horeya (20th July, 2023)

TUI River Cruises has announced a brand-new River Nile cruise set to commence in Winter 2024 with exclusive TUI charter flights to Luxor from London Gatwick and Manchester Airports.

The exciting expansion means that the river cruise line will add a fully refurbished five-star ship, to be named TUI Al Horeya, which means ‘freedom’, to operate seven-night, all-inclusive round-trip sailings from Luxor. TUI Al Horeya can accommodate 145 passengers and offers 74 cabins including singles, standard cabins and suites.

Two flights per week will operate from London Gatwick and Manchester to Luxor; a city which encompasses a mesmerizing blend of history, architecture, and culture. The new routes is exclusive to TUI, which will be the only tour operator to offer direct, non-stop flights from the UK to Luxor which will operate weekly on a Thursday from 7 th November 2024 until 24 th April 2025.

Chris Hackney, managing director of TUI River Cruises said : “TUI River Cruises is going from strength to strength, and we are so excited to introduce this latest offering on the Nile which we are confident our customers will love.

“A cruise along the Nile offers a serene and unforgettable experience with lush landscapes, traditional villages, and other iconic landmarks such as the Luxor and Edfu Temples. With year-round sunshine, Egypt is the perfect destination for exploring ancient history and allowing guests to immerse themselves in a once in a lifetime opportunity.”

He continued, “The name TUI Al Horeya was chosen to ensure we kept local connection to Egypt, as it is our only TUI River Cruise ship which will stay in the one country. TUI Al Horeya in Arabic means ‘freedom’, signifying the freedom the water brings to explore which is a great representation of what river cruising is all about.”

Dedicated licenced Egyptologists will be on hand throughout the trip to enhance the customer experience to be on hand to answer any questions. The modern and contemporary ship will boasts a top deck swimming pool, two whirlpools, an entertainment area, restaurant, Al Fresco dining, lounge bar, wellness studio and a boutique shop.

Like the rest of the fleet, TUI Al Horeya will include a day and night entertainment programme, as well as offering customers a wide range of excursions which have been curated by industry experts, guaranteed to transport visitors back in time to the era of pharaohs and dynasties.

There will be two set excursions included within the sailing package price, this includes the Temple of Horus in Edfu and the temple of Kom Ombo. To ensure that customers have as much flexibility within their cruise, a range of excursions will be on offer in Luxor and Awan for them to choose from. Options include:

• Discovering the Temples of Karnak and Luxor with the Sphinx Avenue, a strikingly graceful piece or architecture on the banks of the Nile;
• Experiencing a sound and light show at Karnak Temple, which recounts the history of Thebes and the lives of pharaohs;
• Visiting the Nubian Village, located on an Island, and sail on a traditional felucca, a canvas-sailed boat;
• Touring the High Dam, Obellsk and Phllae Temple, which was built in 1960

TUI Al Horeya is the latest addition to the TUI River Cruise fleet, which currently has three adult only ships. The announcement of this new destination comes on the back of strong demand from customers, with bookings increasing by 40 per cent compared to last year. To meet demand for Winter 2024, all three European ships will be going on sale for festive sailings and will include two new seven-night itineraries over New Year’s Eve; the ‘New Year Sail Away’ itinerary on-board TUI Isla, with New Year’s Eve spent in Cologne and ‘Sail into the New Year’ itinerary on TUI Maya, with new year’s celebrations in Frankfurt. This is in addition to the existing ‘New Year on The Rhine’ itinerary on Skyla.

Easter Gift Festival

Build a huge stuffed animal from straw and burn it, ride on crusts, take part in a masquerade parade. At numerous venues it will be possible to see street performances and performances by the best vocal ensembles and folk artists.

New Year on Red Square

The festive concert begins at 20.00. Then everyone lights the New Year tree together. At midnight, guests will be surprised by festive fireworks. Tickets are on sale in advance at the expected symbolic price of 2,025 rubles.

In May 9th Russia celebrate the day of victory of Soviet troops over Nazi Germany. On this day, parades, commemorative events, and festive fireworks are held solemnly throughout the country.
