Coming from fronting the greatest Prince tribute show in the world, working with the Atlanta Rhythm Section and writing and producing the Commodores, Marshall Charloff created his solo tribute to Prince–the only production of its kind in the world. “The Purple Piano” is so enthusiastically-received that it landed a full-time residency in Las Vegas–delighting Prince fans from across the globe.

Now adding tour dates, this show is an interactive and highly-entertaining production, weaving together the highlights of Prince’s catalog through Marshall’s musicianship and mastery of audience engagement.

Marshall has performed worldwide – fronting the finest symphonies in most major cities in North America, featuring the music of Prince; and continues to tour fronting the celebrated Purple xPeRIeNCE. Early in his career, Marshall honed his piano performance and audience participation chops while touring nationally in the FunKeys, an acclaimed dueling pianos show.

He is featured on recordings with Prince on the album 94 East, where Marshall plays both keyboards and bass guitar, and recently collaborated with Prince’s sister Sharon Nelson, to co-write and record “Colours”. Pepe Willie, who discovered Marshall, was also responsible for getting Prince’s career up and running. In 2011, Marshall teamed up with Doctor Fink, from Prince & The Revolution, to perform at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame benefit concert.

Marshall has released multiple singles and albums. His second album, “Unperfect” was awarded Top 100 Albums of 2020 on the Global Jazz charts (smoothjazz.com), owing largely to his chart-topping smooth jazz smash-hit, “HipNautic”, which remained smooth jazz charts for over 25 weeks. Marshall’s work has been described by critics as “soulful, delicate, and sensual”; and features “sultry grooves and fanciful retro keys with a laid back vibe”.

Marshall has had multiple commercial releases – some that charted in Billboard Magazine, including a single that landed on Billboard’s Top 100 dance charts. More recently, with an early version of “What If”, Charloff landed another Billboard accolade: #10 on the Billboard Hot Singles Sales Chart.

I missed the show. I am devastated. I thought I would get a notice from song kick the date of the concert. There wasn't a date at the time.

However, I saw them at two other venues in the Metro Atlanta area and I love them. They are right on with Prince songs. I am a true fan of The Purple Xperience.

About Marshall

Singer, songwriter, Marshall Charloff, has been creating music since an early age.  Currently, Marshall fronts the incredible Purple xPeRIeNCE - the greatest tribute to Prince in the world.  Not only does he style the magic of Prince’s talent in an uncannily, unmatched fashion with his appearance, vocal imitation, and multi-instrumental capacity on guitar and piano, but Marshall also performs nationwide fronting world-class symphonies in most major cities in the US and Canada.

Recently, Marshall Charloff teamed up with the famous jazzman Marcus Anderson (New Power Generation, 3rd Eye Girl sax player) in Raleigh, NC to perform with the

North Carolina Symphony Orchestra.  Marshall recorded with Prince on the album 94 East, (where Marshall plays both, keyboards and bass guitar and Prince is on lead

vocals).  Pepe Willie, who discovered Marshall, was also responsible for getting Prince’s career up and running. 

In 2009, Marshall teamed up with Doctor Fink from Prince and the Revolution and Pepe Willie from the band 94 East to perform at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame benefit concert (On the same bill were Cheap Trick, Atlanta Rhythm Section, and the Georgia Satellites). 

In 2019,  the Atlanta Rhythm Section brought Marshall in to play keys.

Marshall Charloff is a celebrated producer and recording artist.  He produced, wrote and recorded for the Multi-Platinum and Grammy award winning Commodores.  He produced, wrote, and recorded for Hall of Fame Inductee Little Anthony (Little Anthony and the Imperials).  His skills paved the way for Marshmallow Fields: a 1990s production team consisting of Marshall, Grammy winner John Fields (The Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, and Switchfoot), and Steven “Funkytown” Greenberg, and their single charted on the Billboard Top 100 dance charts and is still in rotation amongst DJs around the country.  Marshall is also an inductee in the Mid America Music Hall of Fame as a member of the band Westside.

With all this collaborative experience, connections, exposure and talent, Marshall is now branching out with his solo career.  2020 will see Marshall release all new original music (including his song "ColOURS", co-written by Prince’s sister Sharon Nelson), opening shows as a solo performer for his Purple xPeRIeNCE shows, and playing solo dates with his full band.

MARSHALL CHARLOFF AS PRINCE:

Minneapolis-native Marshall was raised in the epicenter of 1980’s music production, and cut his musical teeth working with Superproducers John Fields and Steven “Funkytown” Greenberg. At age 19, Marshall, like Prince, was discovered and signed by producer Pepe Willie. Marshall is featured on 94 East albums with Prince, where he plays guitar and Prince is on vocals. A multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer in his own right, Marshall has written for, produced, and recorded for the multi-Platinum and Grammy award-winning Commodores and for Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s Little Anthony & The Imperials. Marshall’s second original album, “Unperfect” achieved the distinction of “Top 100 Albums of 2020” on global smooth jazz charts. Marshall has also played keys for the Atlanta Rhythm Section, and has played bass guitar with Bobby “Z”, Matt “Dr. Fink”, and Andre Cymone (all Prince alumni players). In addition to his work with The Purple xPeRIeNCE, Marshall has had the honor of fronting 25 of the finest symphonies in North America, performing the music of Prince to great acclaim. He has been the feature of two full-length PBS Broadcasts; fronting the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and fronting The Purple xPeRIeNCE in the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado. Marshall completed a Las Vegas residency, where he headlined starring in “Purple Piano: The World’s Only One-Man Tribute to Prince”–a highly-engaging show in the style of Prince’s final tour, “Piano and a Microphone”. This production continues to tour nationwide, interspersed with full band performances. In all of his avenues of honoring Prince, Marshall’s vocals are uncannily accurate, his guitar and piano skills are masterful, and his endearing stage presence is irresistible in its paradox of finesse and reverence.

Opened in 1935, under Stalin’s regime, the metro was not only meant to solve transport problems, but also was hailed as “a people’s palace”. From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.

At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.

According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.

The Museum was opened on Sportivnaya metro station on November 6, 1967. It features the most interesting models of trains and stations.
