Theory of a Deadman, Skillet Confirm Second Leg of Rock Resurrection Tour

The run once again features special guests Saint Asonia

This fall, Theory of a Deadman and Skillet are bringing back the Rock Resurrection Tour for another run. The trek begins on October 20 at Raising Cane’s River Center in Baton Rouge and wraps up on December 9 at Hartman Arena in Wichita. Special guests Saint Asonia will once again be along for the ride. General tickets are on sale this Friday, June 16 at 10am local time. Skillet is running a pre-sale that starts tomorrow, Wednesday, June 14 at 10am using the code PANHEADS . The band also has a limited number of VIP Q&A tickets and early entry VIP merchandise tickets available.

“We are back for another round of the Rock Resurrection Tour with our friends Skillet Music and Saint Asonia,” Theory of a Deadman said. “We had so much fun on the first go that we decided we had to run it back. It’s going to be a blast, and we’re excited to rock with all of you in this new run of cities!”

Theory of a Deadman releases their latest album Dinosaur back in March via Roadrunner. The record was once again produced by Martin Terefe (Jason Mraz, YUNGBLUD). It is their first new LP since 2020’s  Say Nothing .

“‘Dinosaur’ takes us back to our roots with this riff-driven rocker,” said frontman Tyler Connolly. “To me, it feels like it could fit on any of our albums, but I will say if you like the old Theory of a Deadman, you’ll love the new Theory of a Deadman.”

“Rock is where we made our bed for all these years,” adds guitarist Dave Brenner. “It’s been a while since we had an up-tempo in-your-face track like this – and it felt good.”

Skillet released their eleventh studio album  Dominion  back in January via Atlantic. The band worked with renowned rock producer Kevin Churko (Ozzy Osbourne, Disturbed, Five Finger Death Punch) and his son, Kane Churko, alongside Michael O’Conner and Seth Mosley. Their last album – 2019’s Victorious – topped the Billboard Christian Albums chart and landed at No. 3 on both Billboard’s Top Rock and Top Hard Rock albums charts.

Saint Asonia are released their new EP  Extrovert  last November via Spinefarm. The six-song outing is the follow up to their 2018 EP  Introvert . On December 9, the band – which features Staind guitarist Mike Mushok and ex-Three Days Grace frontman Adam Gontier – will released both EPs in a physical package called  Introvert/Extrovert . The physical recording contains bonus tracks as well.

Rock Resurrection Tour hits 25 cities

Theory of a Deadman and Skillet have announced the co-headlining Rock Resurrection Tour for 2023 with support from Saint Asonia. The 25 date trek kicks off on February 17th in Gary, Indiana and runs through March 26th wrapping in Los Angeles.

“We’re super stoked to be touring with our good friends in Skillet and Saint Asonia this winter,” shares Theory of a Deadman’s front man Tyler Connolly. “We’re also really looking forward to playing new material for our fans!!”

“We are so excited to be touring with our friends from Theory again!,” adds Skillet’s John Cooper. “It’s been several years since our last tour together, and this time we are also joined by our friends in Saint Asonia. We are looking forward to kicking off 2023 the right way by joining forces for a super-charged rock show! Panheads get ready!”

Artist presale begins Tuesday, November 15th with various other presales available Wednesday, November 16th and Thursday, November 17th all at 10am local time. Tickets will go on sale to the public on Friday, November 18th at 10 am local time via Ticketmaster .

SKILLET and THEORY OF A DEADMAN have announced the fall leg of the "Rock Resurrection" tour. Once again joined by SAINT ASONIA , the tour will kick off October 20 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and then hit other cities, following a spring run that was in high demand amidst multiple sold-out shows.

At noon today, SKILLET will host a fan question-and-answer session on YouTube to chat about the tour and also premier the live video for their current Top 20 Active Rock single "Psycho In My Head" .

The SKILLET "Rock Resurrection" tour presale (password: PANHEADS) begins on Wednesday, June 14 and 10 a.m. local time and ends on Thursday, June 15 at 10 p.m. local time.

It's been an incredibly busy tour season for SKILLET , who, after the spring "Rock Resurrection" tour, headed oversees for their 2023 European "Day Of Destiny" tour. The 21-city trek kicked off April 14 in Manchester, U.K. and ran through May 14, hitting major European markets, including London, Brussels, Paris, Berlin, Copenhagen, Zurich, Milan and Prague.

CONCERT REVIEW: THEORY OF A DEADMAN Bring Arena Rock to Starland Ballroom, NJ (February 28, 2023)

The multi-platinum rock band, Theory of a Deadman have teamed up with Skillet for a co-headlining Rock Resurrection Tour . This 25-date tour of the U.S. from February 17th through March 26th features Saint Asonia as the opener. Theory of a Deadman is touring to support their upcoming eighth studio album, “Dinosaur,” due March 17th. This album marks a return to form stylistically while growing and evolving to solidify their place at the top of modern hard rock. Theory are Tyler Connolly [lead vocals, guitar], Dave Brenner [guitar, backing vocals], Dean Back [bass], and Joey Dandeneau [drums, backing vocals].

At the legendary Starland Ballroom in New Jersey on February 28th, hard rock hitmaker, Theory headlined the show with Saint Asonia . The energy in the room was palpable by the time the Theory hit the stage as Saint Asonia did a phenomenal job delivering their hard-edged songs to warm up this already steamy venue.

Theory kicked off the show with their first single from the upcoming release, “Ambulance.” Since it was the live debut for this New Jersey crowd, it made the night extra special, knowing the band would play new music. They wasted no time by directly diving into their classics, “Bitch Came Back” and “Blow.”  

The band sounded tremendous as they didn’t need to shake off any dust since they tour extensively – almost nonstop. In speaking with Dean about how long the band needs to ramp up for a tour, he told me, “We can get up to speed pretty quickly. It’s more of the technical aspects of lighting and guitar/bass changes. We’ve played these songs for years and years. We just need to rehearse them a couple of times, and we are ready to go. The hard part with eight albums is picking the 70 minutes of material to play. We are going to rotate different songs in and out of the set nighty and hope everyone leaves pleased as we are going to have fun.”

The band dipped their toe into almost all their albums, hitting the fans with rockers and ballads while showcasing their catalog’s diversity. Fifteen songs that have an everlasting emotional impact on fans and bring on instant smiles, memories, and good times. Some of the funnier moments came when Tyler told the crowd that his hair was insured for a million dollars and then teased the song “Friends in Low Places,” made famous by Garth Brooks . He went on to say that Garth was backstage and was going to come out to perform it with them. After the air was sucked out of the room with a loud gasp from the audience, Tyler fessed up and told the crowd, “That joke never gets old!”

Also, in the spirit of fun, the band also performed their newest single, a hysterical play on Grover Washington Jr ‘s “Just the Two of Us” called “Two of Us (Stuck).” Anyone who fell for the Garth Brooks trick clearly doesn’t understand the band’s wit and sense of humor. The band slowed things down mid-set, reaching back into the catalog for the honest and emotional “Santa Monica.” A song about running away from love!

“Hate My Life” kept things in the fast-tempo range to pummel the crowd, and the barnstorming riff of “Dinosaur” was played perfectly as they ripped through this new monster single. When they played “Lowlife,” a symphony sing-along moment allowed the guys and girls to live out their inner rock stars to this raucous song that instantly got people grooving.

Dressed in a black trench coat and Elvira t-shirt, Tyler played his chrome-dipped Telecaster while never messing his perfectly quaffed hair. He delivered his powerful and lush vocals reminiscent of what is heard exactly on their albums while drawing the audience into the performance. He dug deep into a gut-wrenching rendition of Chris Isaak ‘s “Wicked Game” to give the fans a deeper glimpse into his soul.

Guitarist Dave shined in the spotlight as he gave the songs their forceful riffs and tasteful solos, which resulted in a chorus of cheers. Complex basslines by Dean and the thunderous drumming by Joey provided the hard rock hits well suited for the night. As the end of the set quickly approached, one song was clearly missing, and it was their biggest hit. With one of the loudest demands for an encore, the band returned to the stage finishing the way they started, loud and proud to perform “Bad Girlfriend.” Fans danced and rocked out in the packed general admission and were thrilled with how Theory of a Deadman reminded them that rock n’ roll is not dead and their live show remains one big celebration.

Disturbed Announce Big 2023 North American Tour With Select Support From Breaking Benjamin, Theory of a Deadman + Jinjer

Disturbed have announced the Take Back Your Life tour with special guests Breaking Benjamin , Theory of a Deadman and Jinjer all providing support at select dates.

The 36-date run kicks off on April 27 in Montreal, Quebec with Theory of a Deadman serving as the lone support act at all Canadian stops. Once the tour crosses the border into the U.S., it's Breaking Benjamin and Jinjer who will be onstage each night through the very last show on Sept. 2 in Noblesville, Indiana.

The trek marks Disturbed's first proper tour since 2019, having worked the festival circuit throughout 2022. They'll be out in support of last year's album,  Divisive , which was anchored by three pre-release tracks — "Hey You," Unstoppable" and the title track. The follow-up to  Evolution ,  Divisive hit No. 13 on the Billboard 200 chart in its first week while also claiming the No. 1 spots on the outlet's Hard Rock and Alternative Album charts.

Meanwhile, Theory of a Deadman are set to release their new record  Dinosaur on March 17. Breaking Benjamin are still riding high on the back of 2018's  Ember (a reimagined collection of existing songs arrived in 2020 under the title  Aurora ) and Jinjer will continue to tour behind 2021's  Wallflowers .

DISTURBED announce 2023 North American tour

Fresh off the success of their return-to-heavy 2022 album Divisive , Disturbed have announced the 36-date "Take Back Your Life" 2023 North American tour. The trek, produced by Live Nation, will feature support from Theory of a Deadman in Canada and special guests Breaking Benjamin and Jinjer on select dates in the United States.

"Take Back Your Life" will be Disturbed's first full tour since 2018 and is set to kick off at Montreal's Bell Centre on April 27th. Check out the full itinerary below. Tickets for all shows will go on sale on Friday, February 10th at 10 a.m. local time.
