Anna Papaphotis of TRAVELMANIA 5 stars are not enough. I missed my flight because of a small error on my “travel form”. Ok my fault….However. In this digital faceless robotic tec world of impersonal form filling red tape mayhem, she helped me through and stuck with me on my phone like a guardian angel and made sure I was safely booked on the next flight with all the correct paperwork. Patiently and with a typical understanding Libran demeanour (I’m one of those also) she navigated through the on line jungle and managed to sort me out. Thankyou Anna I owe you a Covid free cuddle and a double shot of Zivania. 10 stars 👍👍👍🏆🏆🏆💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥

Go to the professionals

We've been using Travelmania to book our holidays for many years now. It's so nice in this day and age to be able to walk into a shop and explain what you're looking for. They care enough to spend time listening and explaining options for you - and you just can't get that over the internet. They know so many places directly and can always give you really good advice on choosing the right resort and the right accommodation. And one time when Gatwick South Terminal was closed while we were in it, they managed to save our holiday by finding us another option in record time. Go to the professionals, I say!

I have been to many places with…

I have been to many places with Travelmania. They are a company with helpful friendly staff especially John. Last year I went to Thailand. I stayed in Bangkok for 3 days. Good Hotel with swimming Pool. And 7 days in Pukett. Visited the main Islands lik P p islands . Had a wonderful time. Beautiful beaches delicious food . Lovely Hotels with big beautiful gardens. I always get good deals from Travelmania. I have been to Jordan Tunsia San Francisco with Travelmania. As well as short trips like Hamburg and Dublin. Fantastic company with great service

Is there a registration deadline?  Yes. Sunday, April 14 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time is the deadline to be guaranteed an on-campus Room Host. On-campus hosting is available for Thursday and Friday night. Hosting is not offered Wednesday or Saturday night.

What if I don’t need an overnight host?  If you will not be staying on campus, the registration deadline is still  Sunday, April 14 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time .

What else is required?  All admitted students must review, agree to abide by the Participant Guidelines, and electronically sign the Participant Forms, including the Medical Release and Consent, Assumption of Risk, Release of Claims and Hold Harmless Agreement. These forms may be completed during the online registration process for admitted students who will be 18 years old or older by April 25, 2024. All admitted students who will be under 18 years old on April, 25, 2024 must have a parent or guardian submit the forms on their behalf prior to their arrival to Admit Weekend. These forms will be sent to the parent/guardian’s emails address once the under-18 admitted student registers for Admit Weekend. You will not be able to participate in Admit Weekend events without these signed forms.

Your first stop on campus should be Admit Weekend Check-In. This is where you will drop off your luggage, and pick up your Admit Weekend name badge and materials.

Getting here.

San Francisco International (SFO) is approximately 25 miles north and San Jose International (SJC) approximately 20 miles south of Stanford. Both airports offer public transport, shuttle, and hire car options that will get you here. Oakland International (OAK) is also an option but is further from campus and can be more difficult to travel to/from using public transport and shuttles. See info about airport shuttles .

Public Transportation

BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit)  provides limited transit service on the San Francisco Peninsula and throughout the East Bay. BART services do not extend past the Millbrae station. Stanford riders can connect to BART via Caltrain and bus connections at the following stations:

Millbrae – served by Caltrain Fremont – served by the Line U East Bay Express Union City – served by the Dumbarton Express

Caltrain connects San Francisco and San Jose (including both airports) with a stop in Palo Alto. Visitors using Caltrain should get off at the Palo Alto station and take the free Marguerite shuttle to campus.

From Highway 101 North & South –   Exit onto Embarcadero Road and travel west, following the signs directing you to Stanford University. About three miles after exiting the freeway, Embarcadero Road becomes Galvez Street as you cross El Camino Real. Stay in the left lane and continue past the stadium. Follow the Galvez Lot parking signs.

From Highway 280 North & South – Exit onto Sand Hill Road and follow the signs for Stanford University. Heading east, drive approximately three miles to the Stanford Shopping Center. Turn right onto Arboretum Road (Nordstrom is on your right). Stay on Arboretum until it ends, then turn right onto Galvez Street. Follow the Galvez Lot parking signs.

GETTING AROUND

General parking.

Admit Weekend complimentary parking is provided in the Galvez Parking Lot , located across Campus Drive from the Alumni Center. Additional overflow parking will be available in the Groves surrounding the Galvez lot.

Please remember to lock your vehicle and do not leave valuables inside. Attendants will not be monitoring parking areas closely.

Marguerite Shuttle

Marguerite is Stanford’s free shuttle service and is open to the public – no ID required. ​​​All buses are wheelchair-accessible and have bike racks. See the  live shuttle map .

Bike Rentals

Another favorite way of getting around campus is by bicycle. Bicycles are available for rent at the  campus bike shop at Tresidder Union .

Mobility Golf Cart Shuttles

A limited golf cart service will also be available for Admit Weekend guests with limited mobility. See more information on the Disability Access & Accommodations  page. For safety reasons, personal golf carts are not allowed to be brought onto the campus during Family Weekend.

The Stanford campus and surrounding areas offer a wide range of dining and lodging options. Stanford does not reserve hotel blocks for Admit Weekend, however some operators may offer special rates. We recommend contacting the hotels directly to inquire about special rates as all pricing and reservations are handled separately through the hotels and not by the university.

Location and contact.

The place looked nice and I liked the concept of fish fast food cafeteria, but the food quality is very low. Neither I liked the starters, no the main dish. The fish was not fresh, too much grease and oil in all dishes. The fish... burger was a major disappointment, tasted worse than in McDonald’s. I do not recommend this place. More

A big part of the food isn’t aviable. I went to the restart two times and they haven’t got what I ordered for both the times, I had to change my order. The time is from 25 min and more. Never coming to this restaurant... again More
