Il clima continentale è caratterizzato da estati calde e inverni alquanto rigidi. In genere, la Polonia centrale è la regione più secca, al contrario delle zone montane contraddistinte da abbondanti precipitazioni. L'estate è abitualmente calda, ma sovente interrotto da forti temporali.

La lingua ufficiale è il Polacco, diffusi l’ inglese e il tedesco.

Lo Zloty (PLN) è la moneta della Polonia. Tutte le principali valute estere possono essere scambiate per il denaro polacco presso una banca o un ufficio di cambio, (identificato con il nome Kantor. In Polonia, l'uso di carte di credito è ampiamente accettato, in particolare nelle principali città e luoghi turistici. Le Carte di Credito più largamente usate sono: Europay International, MasterCard..

Corrente elettrica

La corrente elettrica è a 220 volts, 50Hz. Sono utilizzate le prese elettriche standard europee.

Per chiamare la Polonia dall’Italia si deve comporre il prefisso 0048 seguito dal prefisso della città senza lo zero e dal numero dell’abbonato. Dalla Polonia si chiama l’Italia con prefisso internazionale 0039 seguito dal prefisso della città italiana e dal numero dell’abbonato.

Assistenza medica

Le strutture sanitarie locali sono accettabili, e buona risulta essere la preparazione del personale medico. I cittadini italiani che si recano temporaneamente (per studio, turismo, affari o lavoro) nel Paese (Stato membro dell'Unione Europea) possono ricevere le cure mediche necessarie previste dall'assistenza sanitaria pubblica locale se dispongono della Tessera Europea di Assicurazione Malattia (TEAM) detta Tessera Sanitaria .

Shopping 

I souvenir più apprezzati sono solitamente gli oggetti di ambra opaca e cristallina, che si possono trovare nei piccoli mercati o nei negozi delle principali città. Per quanto riguarda l'artigianato popolare famosi sono gli oggetti in oro e in legno realizzati dagli artisti locali. Nelle grandi città i negozi industriali ed i punti di servizio sono aperti, nei giorni feriali, dalle 10. 00 alle 18. 00 o dalle 11. 00 alle 19. 00. In provincia i negozi chiudono solitamente alle 17. 00. I grandi magazzini sono aperti dalle 9. 00 alle 20. 00 nei giorni feriali. I negozi con articoli di regalo e souvenir sono aperti dalle 11. 00 alle 19. 00.

Festività

Le principali festività polacche sono: Capodanno, Domenica di Pasqua e Lunedì dell’Angelo, Festa del Lavoro (1 maggio), la giornata della Costituzione ( 3 Maggio ), il Corpus Christi (la IX domenica dopo la Pasqua), l’Assunzione della Santissima Maria Vergine ( 15 Agosto , Ognissanti ( 1 Novembre), Festa dell’Indipendenza (l’11 novembre), Natale e Santo Stefano.

Tra le località più visitate della Polonia troviamo: Varsavia (Warszawa), la capitale; Cracovia (Kraków), il cui centro storico è stato  dichiarato Patrimonio dell'Umanità Unesco; Danzica (GdaÅ„sk), il principale porto polacco; Katowice, capoluogo dell’Alta Slesia; Å�ódź, la capitale polacca del cinema; la vivace Breslavia (WrocÅ‚aw); CzÄ™stochowa, nota per il Santuario della Madonna Nera; ToruÅ„, città natale dell’astronomo Nicolò Copernico ed il campo di concentramento di Auschwitz. L’attività più diffusa è l’escursionismo e gli itinerari più frequentati sono quelli sui Monti Tatra. I fiumi Krutynia e Czarna Hancza, entrambi nella Masuria, sono quasi intatti e offrono alcune delle migliori possibilità per praticare il kayak. I Laghi Masuri sono ideali per la vela in estate sono affollati da centinaia di barche. Le attività sciistiche si concentrano invece nei Carpazi: Zakopane, ai piedi dei Tatra, è la più famosa stazione sciistica polacca.

Back in 1989, two guys from Melbourne, Australia by the names of Darrell and Manch set off on an adventure to the other side of the world. They travelled to Africa and without air conditioning on their modified truck, they filled it with supplies, some beer, a bunch of aviator sunglasses, and some friends. Frequently Asked Questions

The adventure starts in Rome, upon check-in at your centrally based accommodation. There are no activities today so you're free to spend the day exploring this wonderful city! Just be sure to be back in time for your important 6 pm welcome meeting. The joining point is currently Hotel Stella, which is centrally located near Termini Station and the biggest park in Rome, Villa Borghese. Please be aware that the joining point hotel is subject to change, and will be confirmed in your final travel documents which will be sent 3 - 4 weeks prior to departure.

The general age range is 25-49 however Intrepid's appeal is diverse, which is why it is all about your shared attitude, not age.

As a traveller from USA, Canada, England, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa you will need an adaptor for types C, E, F, L.

• Unfortunately we cannot offer you a visa application service. Whether you need a visa or not depends on your nationality and where you wish to travel. Assuming your home country does not have a visa agreement with the country you're planning to visit, you will need to apply for a visa in advance of your scheduled departure.

L’immancabile riso , infine, presente su tutte le tavole cambogiane, è l’alimento principale, tant’è che in lingua Khmer “mangiare” si dice nyam bai – letteralmente “mangiare riso”.

La regione è visitabile in ogni periodo dell’anno . La primavera porta con sé un clima mite e molte festività, tra cui la Semana Santa (periodo di grande affollamento), la Feria de Abril e diverse fiere locali in altre città. Inizia in primavera anche la stagione delle corride.

L’estate, molto calda nelle regioni interne, è il momento migliore per rilassarsi al mare sul lunghissimo litorale. L’autunno è ideale per visitare le città e per fare escursioni in località alternative. L’inverno è la stagione migliore per gli appassionati di sci , infatti sui pendii della Sierra Nevada si può sciare!

In tutta la penisola iberica vige l’ora presente in Italia.

Nelle aree interne si servono piatti a base di stufato di cacciagione, maiale, agnello e pollo, nonché prosciutto e salsicce. Verdura insalate sono sublimi così come il piatto tipico dell’andalusia, il gazpacho , preparato con pomodori e peperoni.

• l’ hardfiskur , pesce essiccato da mangiare con il burro, gli islandesi ne vanno pazzi;
• il pane nero, chiamato rùgbraud , che ricorda vagamente il gusto della liquirizia.

Le informazioni utili sulla Thailandia iniziano dal clima, caratterizzato da 3 Stagioni: quella delle piogge , da giugno a ottobre, quella fresca , da novembre a febbraio, e quella calda , da marzo a maggio. La stagione fresca è il periodo più gradevole , dove le giornate sono più luminose e limpide, e le temperature possono raggiungere anche i 30 gradi a metà giornata. Il periodo migliore per visitare la Thailandia è proprio questo, che, oltre a temperature più sopportabili e meno pioggia, offre la possibilità di ammirare bellissime cascate al colmo della loro portata e splendide piante in piena fioritura.

Per gli amanti dei gialli, infine, segnaliamo che  Agatha Christie vi ha ambientato due romanzi:  “La Perla di gran prezzo” e “Appuntamento con la morte”.

Il periodo migliore per visitare il Paese è quello primaverile (da aprile a giugno) e quello autunnale (da settembre a novembre).

Per le zone orientali della Turchia, invece, sono più indicati i mesi estivi , durante l’inverno alcune strade potrebbero essere bloccate dalla neve.

Ci sono diverse zone e le relative condizioni climatiche cambiano in base alla posizione geografica Non è facile individuare un periodo ideale per visitare il Paese ma generalmente  la scelta migliore è quella di partire in una stagione intermedia, da fine ottobre ad aprile , quando le precipitazioni sono ridotte, l’umidità non è oppressiva e le temperature sono abbastanza gradevoli in tutto il Paese.

Il periodo migliore per un viaggio in Irlanda va  da giugno a metà settembre , è il periodo più adatto (alta stagione) per visitare il Paese visto il clima molto gradevole.

Il tempo è per lo più bello anche nei periodi di Pasqua , fino a maggio (con un alternanza di sole e piogge) e da metà settembre a fine ottobre . In questo periodo, rispetto all’alta stagione, le tariffe diminuiscono e si trovano molti meno turisti in giro per il Paese.
