Shann was beyond amazing
Shann was beyond amazing. Listened to our needs, communicated super-efficiently and gave really honest excellent advice. She was so patient, kind and professional. The time difference across the globe made no difference. I am so excited for the itinerary she has put together. I usually cobble my own itinerary together for our holidays and it’s so time consuming and hard work. This was a piece of cake! Thank you Shann.
Great planning and service
Great planning and service, and everything worked like clockwork. We booked an Inyari Lodge safari with air with Safari.com. it wasn't clear if there will be 2 or three of us, so with Candis' help we booked a family chalet for 2 and added the third later when it was confirmed he can come. Candis put us on flights that maximized our game drive time (unlike some of the other guests) so we got all 6 drives in 3 nights. The lodge was great. Especially the game drives. We saw more than we hoped for. Additionally, Safari.com's insurance was very competitive. Highly recommended.

Fantastic travel agent for African safari family trip!
Wow! Shann was and is fantastic! She figured out a way to make our entire trip work. We are going on a 2 week trip to South Africa and Botswana. She really helped tie it all together as a wonderful, cohesive trip. She is super nice and super smart and very knowledgeable. She is also flexible and thoughtful, etc., etc. When the chips were down (and we literally were considering pulling the plug on the whole trip), she found a way to make the entire itinerary work and got us excited about our wonderful adventure! Highly recommend!

“What do I like about Safariland? The people and the growth opportunities! I started with Safariland in 2010 as the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator for the Tijuana, Mexico, facility. A few years later, I was relocated to Jacksonville, Florida, for a Manager role and later promoted to EHS Corporate Director. Working with many friendly, committed, and passionate people is a wonderful experience.”

Adelina Valenzuela Director, EHS (SHE), Security and Risk Management

“What I enjoy most about working for Safariland are the daily challenges and ensuring that each life-saving product we build is done correctly. When I started working for Safariland in 1985, I was the first African American to work in the facility. But the people I work with and the environment make it feel like a family. When working in a factory, you have to put it in your mind to be good at it, so having a great environment helps you have a strong mind and great work mentality.”

Patricia Jones  Quality Inspector

safari company driver job

“I have been working at Safariland for about 40 years now. I remember my first day, September 14th, 1983, at the Monrovia, California building. I have worked in various departments throughout the years, including the  Duty Gear belts, pouches, and holsters team. Over the past 35 years, I have grown tremendously, starting as a production associate, then becoming a team lead, and eventually a supervisor. For the last five years, I have supported the TCI Communications department. I have loved my job since the beginning and continue to be grateful for the opportunity to work at Safariland while raising my family. I will always remember the wise words of Scott O’Brien, “Work as if it was your own business.’”

Judith Gonzalez Production Supervisor, TCI

“I enjoy working for Safariland because of the continuous opportunities for growth within various departments. As a young professional, I have had the opportunity to cross-train with multiple departments and lead projects that were beneficial to both my growth and the company’s performance. Another reason why I enjoy working for Safariland is because of the people. The people at Safariland truly desire to strive for excellence at all times. In addition, the department leaders support all employees excelling in their role.”

Ashleigh Cooper Payroll Manager

“I have worked in logistics for 25 plus years, moving merchandise at a fast pace, in and out. Here at Safariland, I get to make products that save lives. It is special to see us make these products from start to finish, and knowing that we help the people who protect us is a great feeling. I began my career with Safariland 4 ½ years ago as a Department Supervisor. With my hard work and experience, I am now a Warehouse Manager. Over the years, watching the President of Safariland come out on the warehouse floor and talk with associates is extraordinary. He asks about us and our families and genuinely cares for his employees. It is great to see all the different cultures unite to achieve one common goal.”

Barry Waithe Warehouse Manager – Hard Armor

safari company driver job

“I love working for Safariland. Safariland manufactures and sells the most superior products on the market. I learned this firsthand while working for the Jacksonville Sheriff’s office and was shot in my body armor. Safariland has a high standard of excellence which is very apparent in the quality of people employed. Employees take pride in the tremendous responsibility of making products that save lives. It’s an extraordinary team of people that make up Safariland, and I feel so fortunate to be a part of this great company.”

Jared Reston Account Manager

safari company driver job

“I’m Jennifer Murch, the Director of Operations at Pacific Safety Products (PSP), A Brand of The SAFARILAND Group. In my high school Home Economics class, I avoided everything that required a sewing machine, only to end up with a career dependent on them. Thirty years ago, I was looking for my first part-time job in my small hometown, and while fast food and retail options were abundant, they were not for me. I am and will be forever grateful that life led me here. From sewing and cutting in production, junior supervisory roles, Plant Manager, Customer Care Manager, and Contracts Administrator to my current position, Director of Operations, although I did not carve out this career path with intention, it has been the most incredible journey. I’ve been lucky enough to be surrounded by incredible people who made me work harder, want more, were like-minded, and proudly stood together to support our products, our mission, and, ultimately, the peacemakers on the front lines. The SAFARILAND Group comprises some of the greatest people with the utmost grit, determination, pride, integrity, and honesty. Combine all this with the innovation and proven protection of our unparalleled product solutions – how could you not work here and love what you do!?! Together We Save Lives isn’t just a mission that sounds good. It is what we do; together, across provinces, states, and countries around the world, every single day, and I can’t imagine doing anything else, anywhere else.”

Jennifer Murch Director of Operations, PSP

The sprawling metro system, built in the Soviet era as a Communist showpiece, has "formed the first group of female driver trainees" who are to begin training in February, the Moscow city hall said in a statement.

Recommended articles

Metro drivers have historically been men because the activity has been on the government's list of jobs deemed harmful for women's health.

The justification that it is dangerous to be underground for long periods has been criticised as hypocritical however, because the metro employs women as cleaners, cashiers and escalator monitors who earn much smaller salaries while also being stuck underground.

In September, a Labour Ministry decree slashed the number of exclusively male professions from 456 to around 100.

The current list was approved in 2000 and bans women from mining and metalworking jobs, but also from positions as a bus driver, sailor, parachutist, auto mechanic, and even maker of wind instruments.

A new list that is to take effect in 2021 opens many of these to females.

The city hall statement said "expectations are very high" of female drivers in training, and noted that women had already driven metro trains during World War II, when they took on many traditionally male jobs.

Russian Railways, the country's railway monopoly, said it will also begin employing female train drivers in 2021.
