We went to this pub/restaurant to have a nice family meal, and upon arrival found a quiet spot to the rear of the building. This was important for due to us having an autistic son, and through prior experience we have found this keeps him calm. After a few mins of being seated we was approached by a waitress who asked us to move and stated that it was Adult seating only, and when shown the sign it was a black one hanging from the ceiling. We then moved to another corner of the restaurant only to find the whole area reserved. I asked to speak with the manager and followed the waitress to the bar, and when I got to the bar I overheard her speaking with an Assistant Manager, who just huffed and said to her "what do you want me to do". The waitress turned around and found me standing behind her So I stepped aside and went to speak with the Assistant Manager directly. I explained our circumstances and that there was nowhere quiet for us to be seated, she walked over to where the rest of my family were waiting and looked around, and then said shall I ask that family in the corner to move!. This I thought was outrageous and further unacceptable. The whole attitude and experience was very wrong. She stated that we could have one of the reserved spaces but would need to vacate before the people who reserved it arrived, which would mean we would have to rush and not enjoy the meal. This venue has a clear lack of understanding for families that how children with additional needs, and all that was offered in exchange was a voucher, I explained that it would be a good idea to train their staff and would like a refund, but was later told if we wish for a refund any issued vouchers will be cancelled. No return visit from us

Hi - We are obviously aware of your visit and your experience. This matter has been dealt with in house with the person's responsible and as previously stated, apologise profusely for your poor encounter. We do hope that our Guest Relations department resolved this issue satisfactorily for you and really hope that you give us one more chance. Please feel free to contact me personally if you desire. Regards Adam - General Manager

52 out of 55. Decent quiz, I enjoyed that. Thought the Hell pit was in Uzbekistan for some reason. I thought the island of spice was Cuba… Idiot Knew Callanish was Scottish but answered as Ireland when doing the quiz.

That’s a great effort Craig, well done!

I didn’t do too well, but enjoyed it a lot. Just one small point: Germany’s flag is made up of the colours red, black and gold, not yellow. It dates back to the Prussian resistance against Napoleonic rule. Volunteer soldiers wore black uniforms with red buttons and golden trimmings. The colours became a symbol of freedom and nation. Thanks for the great quiz.

Thanks for the comment Jean. I’m glad you enjoyed the quiz, and it’s always good to have a bit more background information on Germany!

@Jean, Good photograph took. Thank you.

Santosh Saha

That was really fun idea. Although I didn’t do well on your test but it was actually really fun to learn new things about the world.

Hope to see your coming blog. Thanks for the post.

@Pradip Karki, Send me more quizzes. Thank you.
