WAGE WAR drop video for explosive new single MAGNETIC

Currently in australia touring with knotfest 2024, melbourne & brisbane sideshows sold out, wage war  —  briton bond  [lead vocals],  cody quistad  [rhythm guitar, clean vocals],  seth blake  [lead guitar],  chris gaylord  [bass], and  stephen kluesener [drums] — are barreling straight ahead into 2024 with an explosive new single., today, the band premiered the new single magnetic via siriusxm’s octane and dropped the video..

The band has built its reputation on the back of smart songwriting that expertly pits hooks against heaviness and sprinkles melody amidst the maelstrom. On Magnetic , the Florida five-piece continues this tried and true formula that has been so effective for them. But they take it up 10 notches and throw more than a few sonic curveballs in the space of four minutes. The melodic verses and choruses grab your attention and the hard-charging and unholy roars and thick riffs keep it. Magnetic should write you a rent check because it will live in your brain, thanks to its supreme catchiness. It is indeed Magnetic.

“magnetic is a song about an attraction to someone that you just can’t seem to quit,” the band explains. “despite knowing what may be best, we’re pulled back to a feeling that inevitably takes control. fate decides our future.”, in other wage war news, the band will kick off its north american co-headline tour with nothing more next month. but before that, the group are currently in australia appearing as part of knotfest australia alongside pantera, disturbed, lamb of god, halestorm and many more. the band also ticked off their sold out melbourne knotfest sideshow last night, co-headlining alongside asking alexandria , and will close out their aussie appearances at the sold out sideshow in brisbane on tuesday 26 march . tickets for the remaining sydney and brisbane knotfest events are on sale now, but get in quick – they won’t last long, wage war are:, christian neonakis – vocals, guitar, bass  | piano whitman – vocals, piano, synths dylan savopoulos – guitar, backing vocals | richard smith – bass, guitar | sam athanas – drums, wage war upcoming shows, knotfest australia 2024, line up: pantera | disturbed lamb of god | halestorm | the hu | asking alexandria wage war | escape the fate | thy art is murder | skindred | speed windwaker | brand of sacrifice | king parrot, thursday 21 march 2024 – flemington racecourse, melbourne saturday 23 march 2024  – centennial park, sydney sunday 24 march 2024 – brisbane showgrounds, brisbane, tickets on sale now here, knotfest australia headline sideshow, asking alexandria + wage war (co-headline), tuesday 26 march – the triffid, brisbane sold out, follow wage war, about wage war, traveling a constant forward trajectory at lightspeed, wage war not only push their own sound forward, but they also propel heavy music into new territory. the florida quintet have always tempered a pummeling metallic onslaught with unshakable melodies. a near-decade grind naturally brought wage war to this point. they have unleashed a string of fan favorite albums, including blueprints(2015), deadweight (2017), pressure (2019), and manic (2021)., beyond looks from spin, modern drummer, american songwriter, revolver, guitar world, and more, kerrang hailed the latter as “their greatest album yet,” and dork raved, “it’s an embracing of being metalheads, popheads and just fans of good songs. on more than one occasion, there’s an earworm poking its head up through the dirt.” they also put up numbers, tallying hundreds of millions of streams boosted by the likes of stitch, low, manic, and circle the drain., amnplify – db.

Amazing show! Attended VIP Tailgate party. The guys were so nice and they did a couple of acoustic songs. It was a great time. Loved their set. They kicked ass.

Wage War killed it in this sold out little venue! They put on a hell of a show with high energy and a lot of BLEGH! Opening bands were Dayseeker, Polaris and Like Moths to Flames. What a great lineup with awesome bands! The place was on fire!

The performance was spectacular, if you're going to see anybody it should be Wage War... In an outside venue not the house of blues in Chicago. The venue only cares about money so, of course, the people who bought VIP balcony tickets were able to see the concert in raised chairs blocking the view of everyone behind them. There were a few brief moments where I actually got to see more than one band member at a time and security did not seem to care at all when one of the obnoxious guys who got a VIP ticket was getting in people's faces and pulling the hair of a guy who had an afro. Again, I 100/10 recommend seeing Wage War every single time.. just not at The House Of Blues or any small venue, especially in Chicago, Illinois

US Metalcore Giants Wage War Announce New Album, ‘STIGMA’

By Emmy Mack

Hot on the heels of their Australian tour for Knotfest 2024 , Wage War  have got a brand new slab of metalcore primed to drop on our eardrums. The Florida act have just announced the imminent arrival of their fifth studio album STIGMA on Friday, 6th September.

The big news comes seasoned with a brand new slice of the forthcoming LP dubbed ‘NAIL5’, a thumping industrial groover that has one boot in the band’s past and the other firmly in its future.

Wage War – NAIL5

“NAIL5 is a tribute to our fifth album and continuing to push the envelope in every way, and in this instance, the heavy side,” the band says in a press statement. “We took the elements that we loved from our past discography and turned it all the way up. The message: You’re either in or you’re in the way.”

‘NAIL5’ marks our second taste of Wage War’s new record, following on from their previous single ‘Magnetic’.

With their next pair of albums just around the corner, both bands are debuting new songs on this run that are getting the pits moving

The start of any new tour is always exciting. Whether you’re in the audience or up on the stage, a new tour means a new show, new songs, and new energy, and that goes double for the current co-headlining package from Wage War and Nothing More.

Both bands have brand new albums on the horizon and are spreading the word across North America this spring, kicking off the month-long trek at The Fillmore in Charlotte, North Carolina. This first stop completely sold out well in advance, a fact that was plainly obvious as the day arrived and thousands of heavy music lovers took over the block.

Up-and-coming Memphis act Sleep Theory as well as Chicago metalcore heroes Veil of Maya are opening up each stop on the tour, and the two managed to throw the Charlotte crowd into the kind of frenzy normally reserved for a Saturday night headliner. But on that Tuesday evening, these two openers unleashed a barrage of crowd surfers, moshers, and excited screams before the sun had even set.

wage war tour australia

Sleep Theory got the place moving and singing nice and loud to their recent hit “Numb”, and based on the response to these guys, they’re a band that’s sure to go very far very soon. Veil of Maya brought a much more vicious energy to the building, coming out swinging the second they stepped foot on the stage with “Tokyo Chainsaw” and other heaters off their latest album [m]other . Guest services was put to the test as they attempted to catch an endless stream of fans coming over the barricade, each one of them pumping their fists and grinning wide with triumph.

wage war tour australia

Nothing More was up next, ready to storm the venue with their distinct blend of massive, arena-ready anthems and headbanging grooves. Frontman Johnny Hawkins led the crowd in singing with him to their recent chart topper, “If It Doesn’t Hurt”, while guitarist Mike Vollelunga, bassist Daniel Oliver, and drummer Ben Anderson lit up the stage with precision. That wasn’t the only new track that the band had in store either, treating the Charlotte audience to “Angel Song” as well as playing “House on Sand” for the first time ever.

wage war tour australia

“I’m a little nervous.” Hawkins admitted that night in regards to testing out the new songs. “We worked so very hard on this new record.” That effort certainly shined through. The three songs were standouts of the set even among classic Nothing More scorchers like “Let ‘em Burn”, “Jenny”, and “This Is the Time (Ballast)”. Plenty of the fans in the building already knew the score - the band ended their last North American tour at this exact same venue, and had played there several times before in the past. Much of the Carolina crowd were there for their fourth or fifth or tenth Nothing More show, still singing along with just as much passion to songs old and new.

wage war tour australia

The Fillmore was hot, sweaty, and totally packed in by the time Wage War arrived to close out the night in their fittingly brutal fashion. Charlotte was smacked with breakdown after breakdown from the Florida group with hardly any room to catch a breath, but it didn’t seem like that night’s rowdy crowd would have it any other way. The chaotic pit in the middle of the room eventually began to spill out onto the sides, branching off into various mini pits throughout the place as crowd surfers continued sailing over them.

Wage War brought some new songs of their own as well, and the fans were more than ready. Walk around and you could hear the whole room singing along to “MAGNETIC” and “Nail5”, the latter of which hadn’t even been out for a full week yet. “We’re like three songs in and I’m not blowing smoke up your ass, this is the best Charlotte show I think we’ve ever played.” frontman Briton Bond told the crowd during a rare (and brief) moment of calm. “This is insane, Charlotte! I love it!”

wage war tour australia

Older songs got plenty of time to shine as well. Fans who have been down with the band since day one were rewarded with hard and heavy “The River” and “Alive” off their first album, but the majority of the set was of course dominated by songs from 2021’s smash hit Manic . “Teeth”, “Circle the Drain”, “High Horse” and others showed off their talent for blending heavy riffage with huge hooks, and certainly got the Carolina crowd rocking and shouting the words right back in the band’s faces.

The impressive voice of guitarist and clean vocalist Cody Quistad rang loud and clear throughout the building, while the rest of the band - bassist Chris Gaylord, drummer Stephen Kluesener, and lead guitarist Seth Blake - slammed their bodies and instruments around the stage to the beat. “Death Roll”, which seemed to be highly anticipated by a considerable chunk of the crowd, went insanely hard. Not a single person was standing still as the song unleashed unbridled mayhem upon the venue.

wage war tour australia

“Okay, this is the best Charlotte show we’ve ever played.” Bond confirmed as the night drew to a close. It was without a doubt an exceptionally wild show, one that really emphasized the fun juxtaposition of The Fillmore’s upscale, chandelier-adorned look with the feral energy coming from the stage and the crowd. “Manic” closed out the tour’s first night on a high note, with the sold-out audience screaming every word with glee.

The heavy music scene has been blessed these past couple of years with some seriously stacked lineups, and this current run with Wage War and Nothing More is a stellar example. If this tour is coming anywhere near you, you will not want to miss it.
