Very hard working band! Nearly 2 hours of non-stop high energy performance. Big Band sound, percussion excellent, amazing guitar riffs - however - I was expecting Susan as a singer and the performance was focused on Derek's, Susan's and other band members instrumental performance. I enjoyed the first couple of long riffs but it quickly became like eating too much of a good desert. As good as they are I almost left. The warm up was Los Lobos also with strong guitars so the evening was too much of excellent performances I wasn't there to experience.
Now Sac Memorial Auditorium. Recently remodeled a fine venue for many events. But if you're there for music the only acceptable seats are center floor. Sides and upper deck experience far too much sound distortion. I walked around [we were side upper deck] and differences were very clear. So be aware of discounted pricing for areas other than the floor.
Report as inappropriate
Self indulgent and disinterested in their audience, this was one of the most disappointing gigs I've seen in a long time.
Never ending solo spots from all 12 musicians onstage, it seemed like a dull rehearsal room jam.
Bands can vary their setlists, but they are usually built on key songs that form the foundation to every show.
TTB don't care what the audience. As Derek Trucks will spend the whole show with his back to the audience, Susan Tedeschi tells the audience they won't be playing Midnight in Harlem as they played it the night before.
I waited years to see this band, and what a let down it was.
Moving up to arenas?
That's going to be painful.
I'll be washing my hair that night.
Paid $150 for this concert which was a lot. It was the worst concert have ever been to. My friend and I️ had to leave before it ended.
Love Susan Tedeschi vocal but she hardly sang. It was one long instrumental jam session after another. She had her back up vocals singing and a brass section that frankly did not vibe for me with this type of music . I️ love the blues. Derek was incredible on the guitar but like every song had a long guitar session session.
Most concerts are 70% about the music, lyric song and 30% instrumental. This was the opposite. Wow so dissappinted

Standing at Concerts
Standing and Dancing at Concerts: DPAC is proud to welcome all types of concerts to our stage. Sometimes during the course of a concert performance, audience members will show their enthusiasm by standing and dancing, especially when encouraged by the performers to do so. Unless directed by the show, we do not ever enforce a must sit policy at concerts. For most concerts, this would not be acceptable to the performers on stage who often love it when the crowd is moved enough by the performance to stand. This is especially true for rock shows and for seats closest to the stage.
Please know that DPAC does not have a “no standing” policy and in most situations will allow guests to stand even if they block the view of the stage for other guests. If your view is ever blocked by a standing or dancing guest, please contact an usher and we’ll attempt to find alternative seating.

- In addition to purchasing online, DPAC offers several other ways to purchase the seats you want to the best Broadway, concerts, comedy, family shows and special events in North Carolina.
- Our computerized ticket system enables you equal access to great DPAC seats whether you buy online, by phone, or in person at DPAC.
- For more details, visit our Purchase Seats page for complete information on purchasing great seats for all events at DPAC.
- All tickets for DPAC events are fully digital and only accessible via your mobile device. A mobile ticket is the safest, most convenient, and flexible way to receive and manage your tickets while increasing protection against fraud. To learn more about mobile entry, please visit our Mobile Entry FAQ .
Video Screens
Currently, this event has not approved using our video screens. Please feel free to check back closer to the event for updates. If approved, we will post notice here.
For many concert, comedy, and special events at DPAC, we offer added views of the stage with two big screens (size: 16’ x 9’) hung to the sides of the stage or above the stage. These big screens can add to the visual experience of our concert, comedy, and special events and give guests seated farther from the stage what we like to call “a tenth row view”. Approval to use these screens always rests with the visiting show and about half of all concert and comedy events do use these screens.

This week, Tedeschi Trucks Band will return to New York City's Beacon Theatre for another coveted sold out residency on Thursday, February 29th; Friday, March 1st; and Saturday, March 2nd, 2024. These shows were announced during their triumphant headlining arena shows dubbed “The Garden Parties” at TD Garden in Boston, MA and Madison Square Garden in New York City, NY last year. The shows were dazzling, sold-out events that exhibited why Tedeschi Trucks Band is one of the greatest groups of live musicians touring today.
Tedeschi Trucks Band show no signs of slowing down in 2024 with a January appearance from Derek and Susan at Dead Ahead Festival in Riviera Maya. They sat in as part of an All-Star lineup of talent performing alongside Mickey Hart, Bob Weir and members of Dead & Company. Prior to that, they opened up for the Eagles in Atlanta, and it was recently announced that they will headline Bourbon and Beyond Festival in Louisville, KY on Friday, September 20th, and they will headline 2 out of 3 nights of their very own Sun, Sand and Soul Music Festival on the shores of Miramar Beach, FL.
In Los Angeles this month, Derek and Susan also spoke on the Rainmaker I panel, the Intersection of Art & Commerce with Live Nation's Bob Roux as part of Pollstar Live! and also joined their production team to deliver the keynote, Production Live! The Artist/Crew Dynamic In Tedeschi Trucks Band.
Tedeschi Trucks Band (TTB) is a Grammy Award-winning 12-piece rock and soul powerhouse that holds the well-deserved reputation as one of the best live acts touring today. With a large catalog that spans rock, blues, jazz and even country, no setlist is ever the same, leaving their ever-growing fan base of all-ages returning again and again for electrifying performances. The recent “Garden Parties” garnered praise from Relix who raved of the group's “seasoned grace and artistry.” The band's shows are an eagerly anticipated highlight of the live music calendar — “nothing short of exhilarating” (Salon) — from sold-out multi-night residencies across America to tours through Europe and Japan, to their flagship annual summer amphitheater tours.
The band continues to tour behind their 2022 release, I Am The Moon, TTB's fifth and most ambitious studio project to date. Written while off the road during the pandemic, I Am The Moon captures a prolific and collaborative songwriting period for TTB that was inspired by an ancient poem of star-crossed lovers called “Layla and Majnun.”
I Am The Moon includes four albums, I.Crescent, II. Ascension, III. The Fall, IV. Farewell and four companion films - delivering more than two hours of music that unfolds across a robust tapestry of genre-defying explorations and propels the treasured American ensemble into new and thrilling creative territory.
I Am The Moon joins an impressive studio discography that includes Signs (2019), High & Mighty EP (2019), Let Me Get By (2016), Made Up Mind (2013), and the Grammy-winning debut, Revelator (2011) in addition to their live releases, Layla Revisited (Live At LOCKN') featuring Trey Anastasio (2021), the Grammy-nominated film/audio Live From The Fox Oakland (2017), and 2012's Everybody's Talkin'.
Tedeschi Trucks Band is Susan Tedeschi (guitar, vocals), Derek Trucks (guitar), Gabe Dixon (keyboards, vocals), Brandon Boone (bass), Tyler “Falcon” Greenwell (drums), Isaac Eady (drums), Mike Mattison (vocals), Mark Rivers (vocals), Alecia Chakour (vocals), Kebbi Williams (saxophone), Ephraim Owens (trumpet), and Elizabeth Lea (trombone).

The Grammy Award-winning Tedeschi Trucks Band has announced a run of summer tour dates across the US that kick off with homecoming shows in Jacksonville, FL on June 22 at Daily’s Place and a two-night stop in Atlanta, GA at the famed Fox Theatre.
This year’s run will bring the band to 20 cities, including some new summer additions like Toronto and Kansas City, and returns to Indianapolis, St. Louis, among others. Newly announced dates add to the multi-night performances at Wolf Trap (June 27, 28) and Red Rocks Amphitheatre (July 28, 29 – the tour’s closing shows) that are on sale now.
Also new this year will be a single support act each night, allowing TTB to play longer sets. Country and blues singer/songwriter Vincent Neil Emerson will support the tour’s first few dates and return in late July for the final five stops. Legendary musician, producer, and activist, Ziggy Marley will support all dates in between. Fans can expect the same musically collaborative, family friendly atmosphere at some of the country’s best venues that have made TTB a highlight of the summer season–with more time for the band to dig deeper into their 100+-song catalog.

Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks Announce Three Northeast ‘Fireside LIVE’ Tour Dates
Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks have announced three Fireside LIVE tour dates set to take place in the Northeast this April. As has been done with previous Fireside LIVE tour dates and the acclaimed Fireside Sessions virtual performances, each of the shows will feature a different lineup comprised of members from the full Tedeschi Trucks Band .
Billed more simply as “ Tedeschi Trucks ” to avoid confusion with the full, 12-piece Tedeschi Trucks Band, the April run of shows will kick off on the 14th at Beverly, MA’s Cabot Theatre . This evening will double as a special gala fundraiser for the venue and will feature the iconic soul singer Mavis Staples and her band.
From there, Derek, Susan, and the rotating cast of band members will head north to Waterville, ME’s Waterville Opera House on April 15th. The three-show run will conclude the following evening, April 16th, at The State Theatre in Portland, ME.
As TTB wrote in a post on Facebook, ticket availability will be limited for the April 14th concert in Beverly, MA. The statement continued, “We decided a ticket lottery would be the fairest way to assure members could access advance purchase. We have set up a contest page in the Swamp Family member portal. Tickets will be limited to two per person and you can select what tickets you’d like to be considered for. This lottery is only open to Swamp Family members, more details on the contest page.” A representative for the band noted that tickets for the show will also be available to the general public starting January 28th at 10:00 a.m. ET.
A Swamp Family Fan Club pre-sale will begin Tuesday, January 25th, at 10 a.m. ET for the Portland show, and 12 p.m. ET for Waterville. An artist pre-sale will then run on Wednesday at 10 a.m. ET for Portland (code: TT45PME) and 12 p.m. for Waterville (code: 415XTT), before the general on-sale this Friday, January 28th, at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. ET respectively. Head here for more information and a full list of Tedeschi Trucks Band tour dates.

Moscow Metro
The Moscow Metro Tour is included in most guided tours’ itineraries. Opened in 1935, under Stalin’s regime, the metro was not only meant to solve transport problems, but also was hailed as “a people’s palace”. Every station you will see during your Moscow metro tour looks like a palace room. There are bright paintings, mosaics, stained glass, bronze statues… Our Moscow metro tour includes the most impressive stations best architects and designers worked at - Ploshchad Revolutsii, Mayakovskaya, Komsomolskaya, Kievskaya, Novoslobodskaya and some others.
What is the kremlin in russia?
The guide will not only help you navigate the metro, but will also provide you with fascinating background tales for the images you see and a history of each station.
And there some stories to be told during the Moscow metro tour! The deepest station - Park Pobedy - is 84 metres under the ground with the world longest escalator of 140 meters. Parts of the so-called Metro-2, a secret strategic system of underground tunnels, was used for its construction.
During the Second World War the metro itself became a strategic asset: it was turned into the city's biggest bomb-shelter and one of the stations even became a library. 217 children were born here in 1941-1942! The metro is the most effective means of transport in the capital.
There are almost 200 stations 196 at the moment and trains run every 90 seconds! The guide of your Moscow metro tour can explain to you how to buy tickets and find your way if you plan to get around by yourself.

Moscow Tour Report- Part 2: The Untold Story of the Cargo’s Journey
Often, when we see a performance by an ensemble from abroad, we think of how far the musicians have traveled to be there, and what that must be like. But sometimes we don’t realize just how big of an undertaking it is to transport an entire orchestra -and their instruments- to another continent. Below, Violinist Alexandra Adkins describes the untold story of the cargo’s journey.

Our orchestra on tour is accompanied by lots of cargo; instrument shipping trunks, wardrobe trunks, special chairs and so on. The musicians were fortunate to head to Moscow Tuesday on a 12 hour nonstop flight, but our cargo had a more extensive journey. According to stage manager Donald Ray Jackson, it is a four day process that began immediately following the Ima Hogg performance on June 2nd. The symphony truck was loaded up that night and headed for IAH, where Sunday morning he and assistant stage manager Kelly Morgan began building seven container pallets from the various instrument and wardrobe trunks. It is a complicated puzzle to make the pallets the size that will fit in the cargo hold of a passenger plane. Every piece is X- rayed before loading. Donald Ray and Kelly travel with our shipment every step of the way. Our cargo arrived Monday afternoon in London, where it was offloaded and transferred to a climate controlled warehouse until the Moscow flight Tuesday morning. Due to a size issue with one of our containers, some of our cargo was delayed, thus everything did not arrive in Moscow until 3:00 AM Wednesday morning. Clearing Russian customs, disassembling the pallets and loading up trucks for transport to Moscow’s Hall of Columns took the next 18 hours, and finally at 11:30 PM Wednesday night our four very sleep deprived Houston stage crew members began the two hour load in to the hall– assisted by Russian crew– so that our instruments would be available for individual practice on Thursday morning. Donald Ray and Kelly are now catching up on their ZZZ’s in the subway, on the bus, and anywhere else they can find a quiet corner!
