Journey

Though it arrives amidst lawsuits , social media sniping and infighting, Journey is turning 50 this year.

During that half century, the group has sold more than 100 million records worldwide, logging 11 platinum-or-better albums (including Diamond certifications for 1981’s Escape and 1988’s Greatest Hits) , earning eight top 10 albums on the Billboard 200 and 25 hits on the Billboard Hot 100. It’s also been a reliable ticket-selling act for most of its career, and in 2017, the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Journey’s is the story of eras. When the group originally formed in San Francisco in 1973, original manager Herbie Herbert helped bring together guitarist Neal Schon and keyboard player/vocalist Gregg Rolie from Santana, bassist Ross Valory and rhythm guitarist George Tickner from Frumious Bandersnatch and drummer Prairie Prince from The Tubes. Prince would be replaced by David Bowie/Frank Zappa skins man Aynsley Dunbar, while Tickner would leave after Journey’s self-titled first album in 1975. The remaining quartet recorded two more albums before Steve Perry came on board for 1978’s Infinity, which began the band’s run of multi-platinum smashes — also marking the first appearance of Alton Kelley and Stanley Mouse’s iconic scarab logo for the band. Dunbar was replaced by Steve Smith for 1979’s Evolution , and Rolie would leave in 1980 with Jonathan Cain of The Babys joining to help elevate the band to even greater fortunes on Escape and Frontiers .

The palette has been diverse, but there are common elements among Journey’s best songs — sturdy melodies and sing-along choruses, usually leading into one of Schon’s majestic guitar solos. But within that mold there’s also been plenty of invention and clever arrangements that have never been as formulaic as some of the band’s detractors (particularly during their early ‘80s heyday) would have you believe.

Journey has gone through its fair share of lineups, with singer Arnel Pineda on board since 2007 — the longest continuous tenure of any Journey frontman. The group released Freedom , it’s first new studio album in 11 years, in 2022, and despite the current legal fractures (which you can read about in detail here ), still they ride, as the Escape track says — and may they keep on runnin’ for a long time.

With all that in mind, here are our picks for Journey’s 10 best songs — not all of which come from the biggest hits.

"Someday Soon" ( Departure , 1980)

This album track from Rolie’s finally studio effort with the band is a hypnotic tone poem, with a ringing, cushy ambience and a hippie kind of optimism – not to mention the best give-and-take Perry and Rolie achieved during their time together in the band. It’s of course been eclipsed by Journey’s myriad hits (“Any Way You Want It” is the enduring top 40 Hot 100 hit from Departure ), but it’s a gem worthy of discovery.  Listen here.

"Escape" ( Escape , 1981)

The title track from Journey’s Billboard 200-topping studio album straddled the hard rock/pomp attack of the group’s mid-‘70s output with the melodic sensibility of the Perry-Cain axis. Its five-minute length provides room for the arrangement to stretch out and flow from one song part to the next, with a crunch that was part of Journey’s palette at the time. Listen here.

"Of a Lifetime" ( Journey , 1975)

The Journey of 1973-77 was certainly a different creature than the hitmaking colossus so many know and love. The group’s initial lineups flexed instrumental muscles, smoothly knitting together a number of styles more interested in the journey (ba- dum ) than any commercial destination. The first track from its first album is a prototype, leaning into blues, psychedelic rock and a touch of Latin, with the first of what would become many standout Schon solos, and a tuneful sturdiness delivered by Rolie’s soulful vocal. Listen here.

"Faithfully" (Frontiers , 1983)

Journey "Faithfully"

The melody of this top 20 Hot 100 hit came to Cain in a dream on a tour bus, and his paean to the struggle between home and the road was written in a half-hour. The result was a swoon-inducing ballad tailor-made for a sea of lighters (back then) and cellphone flashlights (now), capturing one of Perry’s best recorded performances and one of Schon’s most inspired solos. One of its great side stories is that Prince contacted Cain after he wrote “Purple Rain,” concerned that it might be too similar to “Faithfully.” Cain determined it wasn’t, but joked to Billboard that, “After seeing what it became, I should have asked for a couple of points….”

"Ask the Lonely" (single, 1983)

Recorded for Frontiers , this one wound up in the romcom Two of a Kind (starring the Grease duo of John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John) and rocked its way to No. 3 on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. Like “Only the Young,” which wound up in Vision Quest two years later, it showed that Journey was on roll – and well-suited for big soundtrack moments. Listen here.

"Who's Crying Now" ( Escape, 1981)

The best of Journey’s swoon songs — started by Perry while driving into Los Angeles and finished with Cain — has a subtlety and dynamic build that sets it apart from the many others of its ilk they’d create. The verse slips into the chorus with a soulful ease, and Schon’s guitar accents deftly build up to his searing solo at the end. The Escape single reached No. 4 on the Hot 100. Listen here.

"Feeling That Way" ( Infinity , 1978)

If fans at the time wondered how Steve Perry and Gregg Rolie would co-exist, this was the answer — an ebb-and-flow tradeoff that proved they could complement each other as lead singers as well as harmonize smoothly together (first evidenced by Infinity ‘s lead track “Lights”). Its medley-like pairing with the next track, “Anytime,” was gravy that would become a motif on the next few Journey albums. Listen here.

"Just the Same Way" ( Evolution , 1979)

Journey’s fifth album had a punchier sound than Infinity — though they shared producer Roy Thomas Baker — which worked to the benefit of the album’s first single. Led by Rolie’s piano and muscular lead vocal, with Perry responding on the choruses and bridge, it reached No. 58 on the Hot 100 in 1979. In a perfect world this would have been as big as anything from Escape or Frontiers, but it’s still a convincing introduction to the Rolie era of the band. Listen here.

"Don't Stop Believin'" ( Escape , 1981)

Journey "Don't Stop Believin'" (Live 1981: Escape Tour - 2022 HD Remaster)

More than a billion Spotify streams, a Library of Congress National Recording Registry placement and plays at virtually every sporting event around the world don’t lie — this one is Journey’s pinnacle of success. Created during a rehearsal at the group’s warehouse HQ in Oakland, Calif., it gave us the “streetlight people” of Hollywood’s Sunset Strip and put the non-existent South Detroit on the map. And it saves the chorus for the song’s end, after the guitar solo. A cross-generational hit? Believe it, gleefully.

"Stone in Love" ( Escape , 1981)

Schon reportedly called this “Stoned in Love” when he wrote the riff, and it’s certainly an addictive track that’s the best roll-down-the-windows-and-crank-it-up Journey fix you could ask for — not to mention a frequent show opener. A No. 13 Mainstream Rock Airplay hit in 1981, the song is practically a deep cut today. But its anthemic chorus is a spirit-lifter and the dynamic breakdown that segues into the song-closing guitar solo harks back to the ambitious musicality of the first few albums. “Stone” is a gem that still shines bright. Listen here.

Greatest Hits (2024 Remaster)

In the ’80s, Journey was high on the list of bands loved by fans and reviled by critics. But today, they’re still heard and embraced – sometimes by the kind of people who sneered the first time around. (Witness the in-concert cover of “Lights” by fellow Bay Area stalwarts Green Day.) With frontman Steve Perry applying lessons learned from Sam Cooke, Journey’s Greatest Hits often sounds like a primer in pop idealism. “Lights” is a mellow smile about the joys of city life, “Any Way You Want It” a tip of the hat to Everygirl. And though “Don’t Stop Believin’” places itself on a scale with the songs that open Olympic games, it’s really all about that one small-town escapee on “the midnight train to anywhere”.

Don't Stop Believin'

Best Lyrics:

Strangers waiting Up and down the boulevard Their shadows searching in the night Streetlights, people Living just to find emotion Hiding somewhere in the night

Stone in Love

Stone in Love

In the heat with a blue jean girl Burning love comes once in a lifetime She found me singing by the rail road tracks Took me home, we danced by the moonlight

Those summer nights are calling Stone in love Can't help myself, I'm falling

Feeling That Way

Feeling That Way

Opened my eyes to a new kind of way All the good times that you saved Are you feeling You feeling that way too Or am I just Am I just a fool

Wheel in the Sky

Wheel in the Sky

Winter is here again, oh lord Haven't been home in a year or more I hope she holds on a little longer Sent a letter on a long summer day Made of silver, not of clay I've been runnin' down this dusty road

Wheel in the sky keeps on turnin' I don't know where I'll be tomorrow

Faithfully

And being apart ain't easy on this love affair Two strangers learn to fall in love again I get the joy of rediscovering you Oh girl, you stand by me I'm forever yours, faithfully

Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)

Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)

Someday, love will find you Break those chains that bind you One night will remind you How we touched and went our separate ways

If he ever hurts you True love won't desert you You know I still love you Though we touched and went our separate ways

Lights

When the lights go down in the City And the sun shines on the bay Ooh, I wanna be there in my City, oh Oh, oh, oh

Any Way You Want It

Any Way You Want It

She said, any way you want it That's the way you need it Any way you want it

I was alone I never knew What good love could do Ooh, then we touched Then we sang About the lovin' things

Send Her My Love

Send Her My Love

Callin' out your name I'm dreamin' Reflections of a face I'm seein' It's her voice That keeps on haunting me

Send her, send her my love Roses never fade Memories remain

Who's Crying Now

Who's Crying Now

One love, feeds the fire One heart, burns desire I wonder who's crying now? Two hearts, born to run Who'll be the lonely one? I wonder who's crying now?

Only the Young

Only the Young

Shadows of a golden age A generation waits for dawn Brave carry on Bold and the strong

Only the young can say They're free to fly away Sharing the same desire Burnin' like wildfire

Ask The Lonely

Ask The Lonely

You've got some fascination With you high expectations This love is your obsession Your heart, your past possession Let down your defenses Won't be up to the one who cares

Still They Ride

Still They Ride

Spinning 'round, in a spell It's hard to leave this carousel 'Round and 'round And 'round and 'round

Still they ride, on wheels of fire They rule the night Still they ride, the strong will survive Chasing thunder

Touchin', Lovin', Squeezin'

Touchin', Lovin', Squeezin'

It won't be long, yes, till you're alone When your lover, oh, he hasn't come home 'Cause he's lovin' who he's touchin', he's squeezin' another

He's tearin' you apart Ooh, every day, every day

Just The Same Way

Just The Same Way

Take a chance now the timing's right. You're free to leave the key to my life. Stay with me. Won't you stay the night, In the mornin' feelin' fine, yeah.

That's the same way you love me.

Girl Can't Help It

Girl Can't Help It

If he could hold her, so close in his arms again If she could show him The letter her heart forgot to send why They're livin' dreams on their own Ooh they'll never stop running

The girl can't help it, she needs more He hasn't found what he's lookin' for They're still standing in the rain He can't help it, and she's just that way

Be Good To Yourself

Be Good To Yourself

Runnin' out of self-control Gettin' close to an overload Up against a no win situation Shoulder to shoulder, push and shove I'm hangin' up my boxin' gloves I'm ready for a long vacation

Be good to yourself when, nobody else will Oh be good to yourself You're walkin' a high-wire, caught in a crossfire

I'll Be Alright Without You

I'll Be Alright Without You

I'll be alright without you Oh love's an empty face, I can't replace (You don't need it) People wonderin' why we broke apart The great pretender here I go again These things I do (It's all because of you) I'll keep holdin' but I'll try (Try not to think of you)

Mother, Father

Mother, Father

Through bitter tears And wounded years, those ties Of blood were strong So much to say, those yesterdays So now don't you turn away.

Hey, mother, father, sister Hey, come back, tryin', believein' Hey, mother, father, dreamer

The Party's Over (Hopelessly In Love)

The Party's Over (Hopelessly In Love)

So I will tell you this, Our love is in a fix. Just what more can I do. When I'm hopelessly in love with you?

When You Love A Woman

When You Love A Woman

When you love a woman You see your world inside her eyes When you love a woman (Well) You know she's standing by your side A joy that lasts forever There's a band of gold that shines Waiting somewhere, oh, yeah

After The Fall

After The Fall

But a head strong stubborn man Only works it out the best he can Valentines he never sent There's not enough time he's a working man

Can't stop falling Heartaches calling Finds you after the fall

Suzanne

I see your face at the movies I hear your voice on the radio You're making love on the silver screen I want you more than you will ever know Temptation...Infatuation

Suzanne, don't walk away

Why Can't This Night Go On Forever

Why Can't This Night Go On Forever

Lost in twilight, the memories Precious moments, you and me We've been old friends, all through the years Picture postcards, sharing tears

What's in our hearts, there's never time, to say Need you tonight, lover don't fade away I've seen your city lights As I walk away Why can't this night...go on forever

After All These Years

After All These Years

A faded wedding photograph You and me in our first dance Our eyes are closed We're lost in one sweet embrace Since those days the world has changed But our love remains the same God knows we've had our share of saving grace

Where Were You

Where Were You

I didn't know what the hell was goin' on, Someday you're gonna break. So don't try to get yourself straight, You're just a little too late.

Journey Albums Ranked Worst to Best

Journey has been through their share of incarnations over the past five decades – some of them respected but low-selling, some of them bestsellers who were critically ignored. To help guide you through those periods, we're counting down all of their studio albums from worst to best.

Through it all, guitarist and co-founder Neal Schon , the only member to have appeared on every Journey album, has soldiered on. He started Journey in the mid-'70s as a fusion-focused group alongside fellow Santana product Gregg Rolie , but it was only after Steve Perry joined that they began building a platinum-selling legacy. Then, Jonathan Cain came over from the Babys to replace Rolie on keyboards, and his pop smarts and composition skills helped launch Journey into superstar status in the early '80s.

But by the end of the decade, Perry, who established a parallel solo career with 1984's Street Talk , began an on-again, off-again relationship with the band – much to the chagrin of all the new fans Journey had made in the meantime. After their final late '90s split, Schon and Cain went through two other frontmen before settling on current singer Arnel Pineda . He has since helped Journey rebuild its commercial fortunes, keeping the band as a reliable draw on the road while leading them to two Top 15 releases along the way. But which one tops them all? See our ranking of Journey's albums below.

Best Buy and CNET partner to enhance customer shopping journey

BBY CNET Partnership

Together they will integrate CNET recommendations across Best Buy channels to help shoppers explore technology

Collaboration introduces unique commerce-media model that will help advertisers share more valuable and relevant content with customers throughout shopping journey.

MINNEAPOLIS & SAN FRANCISCO (April 25, 2024) — Today, Best Buy and CNET announced a first-of-its-kind partnership that transforms how brands can engage consumers while they discover and shop for the latest technology. The collaboration leverages the expertise, authority and scale of both brands to extend the effective reach of advertisers, while also enhancing the shopping experience for customers.

With a combined unduplicated reach of 50 million unique visitors per month, Best Buy and CNET are offering brands the opportunity to engage larger audiences of high-intent shoppers, strengthening the reach and impact of their messages. Customers will see curated content and unbiased editorial advice from CNET’s experts across various Best Buy channels — such as  BestBuy.com , Best Buy stores and the  Best Buy Mobile App  — encompassing a variety of product reviews and expert picks that align with their shopping experiences.

“When shopping for technology, we know that many consumers like to do their own research and turn to Best Buy and CNET to help them explore, discover and get inspired by new and exciting technology,” said Jennie Weber, chief marketing officer at Best Buy. “This partnership allows us to integrate expert advice throughout every stage of the customer’s shopping journey, as well as leverage these insights to unlock new levels of personalization and engagement for our customers and partners.”

As part of the partnership, the brands are also initiating a new retail media model between a media publication and retailer. Advertisers will be able to share ad spaces across Best Buy and CNET, allowing them to see the impact of their advertising campaigns through a full-funnel, closed-loop media solution. This brings a more comprehensive approach to better understand shopping behaviors and gain valuable audience insights to ensure the right content aligns closely with customers preferences.

“This partnership sets a powerful precedent for how content and retail media brands can collaborate to bring more opportunities to both consumers and advertisers,” said Lauren Newman, executive vice president of revenue at CNET. “With a focus on data-driven insights, we’re introducing a new standard to help brands expand audience reach and measure the impact across what was previously a fragmented digital media ecosystem.”

Best Buy and CNET have already seen positive results from testing done on Best Buy channels earlier this year. Integrating CNET’s insights and expertise in Best Buy stores and on BestBuy.com helped increase consumer trust. From a survey of consumers who were part of an in-store test, 86% said that seeing CNET’s content while shopping made them more confident in their tech purchases and the content helped garner a 25% lift in purchase intent.

AFK Journey: Odie Guide (Skills, Strategies, Comps)

Odie is the most potent Marksman in the entire AFK Journey roster; here’s how to maximize his power and build him a meta team.

Quick Links

Odie: hero overview, odie’s skills and effects, the best team and comp for odie, best strategy for playing odie.

Odie has earned a reputation as the most overpowered Hero in the A-Level pool, thanks to his ability to single-handedly eliminate enemies with one shot. Initially, Odie may not appear as a strong ally when players first unlock him; he may seem weak and irrelevant to the META. However, as explained in this guide, once players invest enough Acorns and Dupes in him to reach Mythic+ rarity, he transforms into a formidable force on the battlefield. Here's everything AFK Journey fans need to know about Odie, the ultimate Marksman.

AFK Journey: Florabelle Guide (Skills, Strategies, Comps)

Also known as the Desert Defender, Odie is an A-Level Mauler with a max damage of 165K and a max HP of 1610K. His unique ability lies in shooting poisonous projectiles that inflict continuous DMG.

In terms of performance and rating, Odie is hailed as the top Marksman in AFK Journey , thanks to his ability to instantly eliminate enemies at the Mythic+ level. Players can unlock this Hero through Free Login Rewards or by purchasing it for 1,200 Dream Fragments from the Dream Store.

Here’s the complete list of Odie’s maxed-out stats:

  • Phys DEF : 26,008
  • Magic DEF : 23,200
  • ATK SPD : 47.7%
  • Crit : 90.9%
  • DEF Penetration : 5.0
  • Crist Resist : 47.3%
  • Proficiency : 312

Odie hits enemies with Poisonous Darts, long-range projectiles that chip the target’s HP away. As the Desert Defender, Odie also utilizes venomous snakes that can deal extra damage. His best skill, however, is his Exclusive (Heart Crusher), which kills infected enemies with one shot.

Here’s the complete list of all Odie’s skills and effects.

  • Skill One (Triple Tap) : Odie's basic attack consists of a triple-shot dart that poisons the target. Poisoned enemies suffer up to a 60% reduction in HP, with the effect capable of being repeated three times per target.
  • Skill Two (Venom Surge) : Odie targets poisoned enemies with his sniper shot. Successfully hitting them increases their Dart Poison damage by 25%, with this effect being stackable up to 20 times.
  • Ultimate Skill (Corrosive Dart) : Odie launches a dart that inflicts continuous damage to an enemy, causing them to lose 30% of their HP per second.
  • Exclusive Skill (Heart Crusher) : Upon reaching Mythic+ Ascension , Odie gains the ability to one-shot poisoned targets whose HP equals 5.2 times his dart's base damage.
  • Hero Focus : Increases ATK SPD by 21 (up to 33 at higher levels).
  • Enhance Force : Unlocks additional damage for Triple Tap when hitting poisoned enemies.

Odie thrives in a Tank-oriented team alongside Thoran and Temesia . With their protective abilities, Odie can accumulate Energy and unleash his Ultimate attack effectively. To bolster his support, players can include Smokey and Rowan in the lineup. Smokey ensures Odie receives constant healing, while Rowan enhances the frequency of his Skill triggers.

Other Heroes with good Odie synergies are Cecia, Lucius, and Vala.

Odie is best utilized as a sharpshooter assassin , positioned in the backline behind Tanks or Warriors and adjacent to Healers and Supports. This placement strategy safeguards Odie from being targeted by opposing Rogues.

Tips for maximizing Odie's effectiveness:

  • Prioritize targeting the enemy’s Support or Healer with Odie to disrupt their team’s synergy.
  • Utilize Odie’s Ultimate ability on Poisoned enemies to deal additional damage.
  • Position Odie away from the primary engagement, treating him like a sniper to capitalize on his ranged capabilities.

Additionally, Odie truly shines in both PvE and PvP battles only after players Ascend him to the Mythic+ tier. It is at this point that he gains his instakill ability, Heart Crusher, allowing him to clutch the most difficult matches. Therefore, players are advised to prioritize purchasing Odie’s Dupes from the Emporium and keep him on their Wish List even after obtaining the first copy.

Understanding the value of cash back is simple, but valuing airline miles or points redeemable for travel requires digging a bit deeper. At Newsweek, we’ve developed a common language to talk about the value of points and miles: our valuations.

Our valuations translate points into dollars and cents in a way that reflects reality. They are based on actual data across a balance of accessible redemption options, not just the aspirational first and business class redemptions that require a PhD in miles and points to book. The upshot is that our valuations help you understand the actual value you can easily get from your miles and points.

Vault’s Viewpoint on Wells Fargo’s Autograph Journey Card

As competitors like Chase, Amex and Capital One gained legions of loyal followers, Wells Fargo missed out on the growth because of its meager credit card lineup. With the introduction of the Autograph Journey credit card and transferable points, Wells Fargo is taking a huge step forward.

The Wells Fargo Autograph Journey Card is designed with travelers in mind by earning 5X points on hotels, 4X points on airlines and 3X points on dining and all other travel purchases. With the introduction of transferable points, cardholders can redeem for cash back, travel, gift cards and more or transfer points to a growing list of Wells Fargo airline and hotel partners. Plus, it includes a $50 annual statement credit toward airline purchases. Travelers are also covered with an array of travel protections and cell phone insurance in case something goes wrong.

About the Wells Fargo Autograph Journey Travel Credit Card

The Wells Fargo Autograph Journey credit card builds upon the success of the original Wells Fargo Autograph℠ Card , as it also earns flexible points but with a focus on travel and dining purchases.

With the Autograph Journey, you’ll earn up to 5X points on travel-related purchases and an unlimited 3X points on dining worldwide. The card includes an annual flight credit that’s good on any airline, without having to choose an airline ahead of time. When you book trips with the Autograph Journey Card, you’ll receive valuable travel benefits to protect your trip, like rental car protection, trip cancellation/interruption protection, lost baggage reimbursement and more. Your cell phone is also covered up to $1,000, up to two times per 12-month period, when you pay the bill with your Autograph Journey Card (subject to a $25 deductible).

As a new cardholder, you can earn 60,000 bonus points by spending at least $4,000 on purchases within the first three months. These points are worth $600 toward travel and have numerous redemption options, including booking flights and hotels, getting cash back or buying gift cards. Wells Fargo also introduced transfer partners in April 2024, so you can transfer points to airlines and hotels to book award reservations worth potentially even more.

Benefits of the Wells Fargo Autograph Journey Card

In this Wells Fargo Autograph Journey Card review, you’ll learn about the card’s numerous benefits and how they can improve your travel experience.

Earning Power

People who love to travel can maximize their rewards with the Autograph Journey Card. This card’s bonus categories target the areas where travelers spend the most—flights, hotels, dining and other travel purchases.

Flexible Redemptions and Transfer Partners

The points earned from the Autograph Journey credit card have multiple redemption options. You can redeem them as a credit to your Wells Fargo credit card statement, as a deposit to your Wells Fargo bank account or to reduce your Wells Fargo mortgage balance. Points can be used to pay for online shopping or to buy gift cards. You can also book travel through Wells Fargo.

As of April 2024, Wells Fargo introduced hotel and airline transfer partners. The initial partners include:

  • Choice Privileges®
  • Air France-KLM Flying Blue
  • Avianca LifeMiles
  • British Airways Executive Club
  • Aer Lingus AerClub
  • Iberia Plus

Wells Fargo plans to expand this lineup to offer even more transfer opportunities to cardholders.

$50 Annual Airline Credit

Each year, you’ll receive a statement credit of $50 when you make an airline purchase of $50 or more. Unlike some airline credits, these can be used to buy airfare as well—and you don’t have to choose an airline ahead of time. Qualifying purchases include airfare, upgrades, checked baggage, change fees and more. So, whether you’re booking a flight or paying for a fee related to a flight you’re taking, this annual airline credit has your back.

Travel Protections

The best-laid travel plans can easily go astray when your flight is canceled, your bag is lost or something happens to your rental car. Your trip is covered when you use the Wells Fargo Autograph Journey Visa to book your reservations. Trip cancellation and interruption protection covers you up to $15,000 for lodging, flights and activities when your trip is canceled or interrupted for a covered reason.

If your checked or carry-on luggage is lost or stolen during transit, you’re covered for up to $3,000 per trip. Additionally, your rental car is protected against damage or theft with secondary rental car insurance. The card also comes with up to $1,000,000 in travel accident insurance, travel and emergency services assistance, roadside dispatch and more.

Cell phone Insurance

When you pay your cell phone bill with the Autograph Journey Card, you’re covered for up to $1,000 in cell phone insurance (up to two claims per 12-month period). This coverage protects you against damage, theft or loss, and it requires a simple $25 deductible.

Visa Signature Luxury Hotel Collection

As a Visa Signature credit card, this Wells Fargo credit card includes access to the Visa Signature Luxury Hotel Collection. Book a stay at one of the participating hotels to receive benefits similar to those who have elite status. Benefits include the best available rate guarantee, complimentary room upgrade (when available), complimentary breakfast for two, VIP guest status, late checkout upon request (when available) and a $25 food and beverage credit. Select hotels offer additional perks like a free hotel night, resort credits and more.

Autograph Card Exclusives

Eligible Wells Fargo cardholders also have access to Autograph Card Exclusives. These live, intimate events feature a limited number of tickets available exclusively to cardholders to purchase. Events occur throughout the U.S., and available artists and experiences change during the year.

Who Is the Wells Fargo Autograph Journey Card Best For?

The Autograph Journey from Wells Fargo is best for travelers who want to maximize rewards on travel purchases. This card’s bonus categories center around travel and dining, and it doesn’t require cardholders to book through the bank’s travel portal to earn maximum rewards. This card allows you to book directly with airlines, hotels and other travel providers to earn credit card rewards and perks from the loyalty programs.

While the card has a $95 annual fee, it is offset by its yearly $50 credit toward airline purchases. Simply book flights of $50 or more to automatically receive the statement credit on your next bill. The card’s complimentary travel protections and cell phone insurance also provide peace of mind for frequent travelers and people whose cell phone is an indispensable part of their daily lives.

Travelers who want to earn flexible rewards points that can transfer to airline and hotel loyalty programs will also be excited about this new Wells Fargo credit card . The Autograph Journey launches with five airline partners and one hotel partner. While this total is smaller than competing brands, Wells Fargo is working to expand its list of transfer partners, and more brands will be added throughout the year.

Who Should Consider an Alternative to the Wells Fargo Autograph Journey Card?

While the Wells Fargo Autograph Journey has much to offer, it may not be the right card for every traveler. Wells Fargo intends to add more transfer partners over time, but some consumers may not want to wait that long or roll the dice that new partners will be among their preferred brands. Consumers who want access to a greater array of transfer partners should look at alternatives from Chase , Citi, Capital One or American Express , since each of those programs has 14 or more partners to choose from.

Having access to TSA PreCheck or Global Entry while traveling is a huge timesaver. The Autograph Journey credit card does not offer reimbursement for these Trusted Traveler application fees. Some travel credit cards at the same price point, like the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card or the United℠ Explorer Card (whose benefit also applies to the NEXUS program), include reimbursement once every four years.

How Does the Wells Fargo Autograph Journey Card Stack Up to Its Competitors?

Before applying for the Wells Fargo Autograph Journey Card, compare it to these popular travel credit cards to decide which one is best for your wallet.

Wells Fargo Autograph Journey vs Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card

The Chase Sapphire Preferred is a solid travel credit card that earns Ultimate Rewards points. With this card, you’ll earn 5X points on travel when booking through Chase Travel and 2X points on other travel purchases, such as when purchasing directly with the airline, hotel or other provider. The Autograph Journey doesn’t require you to book through its portal to earn its top rewards rates and earns 50% more points on all other travel purchases. The Sapphire Preferred also earns 3X points on dining, select streaming services and on online groceries (excluding Target, Walmart and wholesale clubs), while the Autograph Journey earns 3X points only on dining.

When you redeem Ultimate Rewards points, you’ll get 25% more value when booking travel through Chase Travel. This extra value means you’ll redeem fewer points than booking similar travel through Wells Fargo. There are also 14 Chase airline and hotel partners , which is nearly three times as many options, and it features well-known domestic brands like United, Southwest, Hyatt and Marriott.

Wells Fargo Autograph Journey vs. Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card

With the Capital One Venture Rewards Card , you’ll earn an unlimited 2X miles on every purchase and 5X miles on hotels and car rentals booked through Capital One Travel. While it doesn’t offer the same earning power as the Autograph Journey, the Venture Card offers a solid rewards rate on every purchase, which is ideal for people who don’t want to remember which categories offer extra rewards. The card also includes up to $100 reimbursement for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck membership application fees and complimentary Hertz Five Star elite status, which the Autograph Journey cannot match.

Capital One miles can be redeemed for cash back, travel, gift cards and more. Cardholders can also get statement credits for purchases made in the previous 90 days. Further, Capital One offers more than 15 airline and hotel transfer partners, which is three times as many options as Wells Fargo. The card does not charge foreign transaction fees, and it includes auto rental collision damage waiver and extended warranty protection on eligible purchases made with your card.

Wells Fargo Autograph Journey vs. Wells Fargo Autograph℠ Card

For people who want to earn Wells Fargo credit card points but don’t want to pay an annual fee, the Wells Fargo Autograph Card is a solid choice. This card earns an unlimited 3X points on travel, gas, restaurants, transit, popular streaming services and phone plans. These bonus categories are an excellent way to maximize common spending categories, and many of these household categories aren’t available from the Autograph Journey Card.

Additionally, the no-annual-fee Autograph card includes an introductory APR offer on purchases, which the Autograph Journey doesn’t offer. If you need extra time to pay off your purchases without incurring interest charges, the Wells Fargo Autograph Card is the best option. This card includes many of the same protections as the $95 annual fee Autograph Journey, and its points also can be redeemed for cash back, gift cards and more or transferred to airline and hotel partners.

‘Young Sheldon’: Raegaen Revord Reflects on Her Journey as Missy Cooper in New Set Images

"This show has changed my life."

The Big Picture

  • Emotional goodbyes as Young Sheldon wraps filming on its final season after captivating audiences for seven years.
  • Raegan Revord fondly reminisces on her time playing Missy, expressing gratitude for the cast, crew, and producers.
  • While Missy won't be part of the spinoff, Georgie and Mandy will continue the Cooper family legacy in a new show.

Six more episodes and it is curtains for Young Sheldon . After seven seasons and over 100 episodes, we say goodbye to the Coopers of Medford, Texas. The fan-favorite comedy series has wrapped filming on its final season recently, and the emotional goodbyes have begun to roll in . The show premiered in September 2017 as a prequel to the iconic show, The Big Bang Theory , and focused on the childhood of Sheldon Cooper. This meant a very young cast would take the lead, as Iain Armitage , only eight at the time took on the role of Sheldon. Raegan Revord, who plays Sheldon's twin sister, Missy , came aboard the show aged nine. Now, aged 16 and seven years down the line, the young actress looks back on what has been a thrilling ride with a bittersweet ending.

The Coopers of East Texas have become a family we have all come to love over the years onscreen. While the show could very easily have continued, the already established timeline from the flagship series means CBS have to conclude at this stage . Taking to her Instagram account , Revord shares a series of images looking back at her seven-year stint playing Missy on Young Sheldon . The photos included some old images from very early on in the show and more recent photos as the show comes to an end.

Attached is a caption from Revord emphasizing how much she has grown in the time period, and how grateful she is for the experience. The caption reads: " They say it takes a village to raise a child and I think I’ve had the most incredible village thanks to our cast, guest cast, crew, and producers . Thank you for making this a fun, safe, and loving place for a kid to grow up. This character, these people, and this show has changed my life ever. Thank you for the most amazing childhood and memories. (and thank you for loving me during my baby shark phase)."

Will Missy Return?

While Young Sheldon might be coming to an end, there is already a beaten pathway for the return of some members of the Cooper family with the announcement of the Georgie (Montana Jordan) and Mandy (Emily Osment) spinoff . The show is set to feature how Georgie and Mandy handle the pressures of raising a family while chasing their separate careers . While Missy is arguably the best character of Young Sheldon in earlier seasons, there has been a shift in recent years with the build up of her older brother, Georgie. Currently, Missy will not be a part of the upcoming spinoff , as the actress revealed she has not been invited to partake in the project.

The final episode of Young Sheldon airs on May 16. Past seasons are streaming now on Paramount+ in the U.S. See the images above.

Young Sheldon

This television series is a prequel to a popular sitcom, focusing on the childhood of a gifted young boy in East Texas. Navigating school and family life with a unique intellect far beyond his years, it humorously explores his early endeavors to be understood by his conventional family and classmates.

Chiefs Seventh-Round Pick C.J. Hanson on Pre-Draft Journey, Talks with KC

Kansas City's final pick of the draft didn't always know the NFL was a serious possibility for him, but he's excited about everything coming together when it did.

  • Author: Jordan Foote

In this story:

In the 2024 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs spent three picks on fortifying their offensive line. With the selections of Kingsley Suamataia, Hunter Nourzad and C.J. Hanson, the team has a good mix of athleticism, short-team projectability, upside and intrigue.

Hanson, the club's final pick at No. 248 overall and one of the 12 former FCS players picked in the draft, may have a combination of all four.

While the Holy Cross product always had dreams of going to the NFL, Hanson didn't know it was a real possibility for him until recently. Describing the pre-draft process as "tremendous" for him, it allowed him to get on teams' radars with his workout and interview performances. Speaking to the media after hearing his name called on Saturday, Hanson paid homage to the journey.

"I think since I was a kid, I've always had the thought," Hanson said. "I was always like the 99th percentile in height. My mom's a big part of my life, and she's always thought it as well. But I had no clue this was an opportunity until, really, the start of this year. I didn't have an agent hit me up until after the third game. It just hit all facets, and these last couple of months have gone super fast. I've been just enjoying the time the whole time. It's been great."

Without his stellar athletic testing, Hanson very well may have been on the undrafted free agent market. His 9.84 Relative Athletic Score was the byproduct of a five-second 40-yard dash, a 33.5-inch vertical and a nearly 10-foot broad jump. At 6-foot-5 with 32-inch arms, Hanson has the ability to play any interior offensive line spot.

Another part of the process Hanson believed helped him was simply getting to meet people. Things like being able to put his talents on display at the East-West Shrine Bowl and attending the NFL Combine, he thinks, were his favorite elements of the process.

"I think just relationships and meeting new people and getting to talk football with them," Hanson said. "Even just training, like, being able to work out with different guys every day from different schools [and] different perspectives, it's so cool. I was blessed to have the opportunity to do everything here. Just meeting people and making relationships, I think, is the coolest part throughout the process."

For most of Kansas City's 2024 picks, familiarity was a theme. Many of their draft picks spoke about how their interviews with the reigning champions went. Suamataia and Nourzad, both linemen, come to mind. Hanson says communication with the Chiefs went swimmingly in recent weeks, which absolutely factored into the pick being made.

Now, it's a dream realized and full speed ahead.

"Our conversations have been great, I've talked to them multiple times," Hanson said. "But you never know until you know, and I'm coming to a back-to-back Super Bowl-winning team. There's a standard there, and I'm going to have to definitely get to that standard and excel past that standard. I'm looking to come in here and give it my all and hopefully help this team out and make it even better than it already is. I'm in a Super lucky position to be here, and I couldn't be more excited."
