Fantastic deals on factory reject biscuits - £2.20 for 500g packs. Variety of mince pies, shortbread & mincemeat biscuits were on sale the day we visited. Perfect biscuit range was good with nice boxed sets however they weren't that great value & didn't seem that much of a bargain.

Does Walkers Shortbread offer a Tour?
The next stop was Walkers of Aberlour. It seemed that there were no tours on that day, however, the reception staff and in particular, Kay, made sure that they left with a wonderful impression of the shortbread company. They were given beautiful boxes of shortbread and a written account of Walkers company history.

The Walker's story begins in 1898 when the twenty-one-year-old Joseph Walker opened the doors of his own bakery with a loan of £50 and the ambition to bake 'The World's Finest Shortbread'. In the first year of business, Joseph used every spare moment to perfect his shortbread recipe.

The story of Walkers started here in the Scottish Highlands in 1898, where we have remained and for over 119 years and aim to remain for many years to come.
