Washington DC has so many sites and attractions which have a strong connection to the Christian Faith. Though these are easily recognized, they are not always obvious to those who do not take the time to notice. While in Washington DC, here are a few of the places where honor is given to God Almighty or to the Faith of the Bible.
The first mention is easily found inside the Capitol Hill Visitor Center. Right above the doors leading into the Capitol Building from the Center are the words of our National Motto, “In God We Trust”. Congress first voted for our National Motto in 1956 and have reaffirmed it it several times since.
One of the tallest structers in the area is the Washington Monument, which was completed in 1884. A pyramid made of aluminum caps the monument at 555 feet above the base. On the east side of the pyramid apex are the words, “Laus Deo”, which is translated “Praise be to God!” Though you are unable to see this glorious phrase, it does occupy the highest point in the DC area and is a fitting praise to God.
On the west face of the Supreme Court Building near the top of the structure you will find several important figures and lawgivers. Right in the center of the relief you will find Moses holding the Ten Commandments. You can also see him in the Chambers of the House of Representatives.
When visiting the Lincoln Memorial one can see the words of Lincoln’s Second Inaugural Address. In his address, Lincoln gives thanks to God and his providence over this nation.
While visiting the Jefferson Memorial one will notice similar words engraved on the walls of the memorial. Thanks to God, Prividence, and the Creator are all engraved where they can be easily read.
One of the most-recent museums constructed in Washington DC is the Museum of the Bible. Though this musuem has no official backing of any kind, it is fitting that it is in Washington DC. Here you will find hundreds of copies of the Bible and many exhibits where you can learn more about the inspired Word of God.
Other mentions of God are found in DC. Our Christian History Tours will mention and/or show you many of these. Our history as a nation is tightly woven with our faith as a people. This fact is worth remembering and celebrating.

Experience the city in a way that changes you forever.
Anyone Can Show You Around.
It Takes a Special Guide to Make History Come Alive.
There is so much to see in DC that most people hurry through the city and leave unchanged.
Some however, visit the nation's capital and are enriched for a lifetime. The difference is how you experience the city. Come, see Washington DC with new eyes, and learn the history you were never taught. Having an experienced guide at your side, allows you to relax , have fun, and take it all in. Don't settle for a canned tour, where you can't ask questions.
Let Us Show You The Majesty of DC, And The Memorials Built to Honor Some of Our Greatest.
Step into History
Visit the White House and stand at 1600 Pennsylvania, where every President except Washington has made world changing decisions.
The U.S. Capitol House Gallery, where FDR called the Nation to war.
Look inside the courtroom of the Supreme Court , and feel the gravity of the words you "hear" from some of the most important cases in our history.
View the Declaration of Independence , and ponder the 56 men who risked it all to birth America.
See where Martin Luther King, Jr. stood to give his speech, and think what you would say to the crowd.
Contemplate what difference you might make that's worthy of a grand memorial like the Jefferson Memorial .
Stand in the same room where we come to honor our Presidents , and bid others, farewell.
Enter the National Archives to see our Charters of Freedom, the Declaration of Independence , our Constitution , and the Bill of Rights .
Make Your Memories Count
Other Tour Guides Can Tell You The Facts. We Show You the Rich History of DC, and of Those Who Founded This Great Nation.
"I retained more from your short tours than I did in an entire middle school year. The other guides couldn't give us in a day what you gave us in just one stop . Thank you for imploring our kids to think and learn."
Rob & Sandy S.
This was a trip of a lifetime for our family. I had looked forward to it for 3 years. Our entire family of 13 felt like this experience provided a lifetime of wonderful memories. Thank you David!

1-Day Tours
Choose your own adventure and visit the places most important to you.
3-Day Tours
Hands down the best way to see it all. Allow us to customize this tour for you.
Ready for Action?
- Do you provide transportation? For those of you who aren’t coming with your own driver (and that’s most of us), we can provide the transportation, if you don't want to handle it yourself. Prices range from $100/hour for a Denali, to about $200/hour for a 56 passenger bus. While we thought $200/hour was a little high, when you do the math, that works out to less than $15/person for a 4- hour tour!
- We have our own transportation. Can you ride with us? Yes. If you have your own transportation, and a driver, we can ‘step-on’ your vehicle for a tour. Let us know you have transportation.
- Can we use our own car? Occasionally we will have someone ask if they can use their personal vehicle for the tour. The problem is finding a place to park and avoid a ticket. And often when you find a spot, you are now several blocks from where you wanted to be. Most meters on the National mall are only 2 hour parking, and that's not enough. Better to Metro, Uber or Taxi to where you want to go. Let us help! Shoot us a trext and we can talk about a meeting point that might be easier for you.
- Are gratuities included in the price? No. Gratuities are not included. We do our best to exceed your expectations. What you tip is up to you, but normally gratituitiues run 10%-20% of the tour cost. If you are pleased with your tour(s) gratuities are always appropriate and appreciated.
- Where do we meet you for the tour? That always depends on where you are staying, and what type of tour we are doing. We do have starting places listed for our Captiol Hill, Arlington National Cemetery, and the Walking Monument Tours. Other than those, we need to nail down a starting location. Let's talk.
- Can we purchase two, one-day tours?" Yes. Just let us know as far in advance as possible. Even a year out isn't too soon to get some dates locked in.
- What is the best way to see the city - metro (subway), bike, walk, bus, car?" That really depends on what you want to see. Some sites are a just a step off the Metro, others are "several steps" away. The problem with biking is, you miss all the commentary between the sites, becasue you can't hear. We normally suggest hiring the transportation, or walking. Just for price comparisons, a 56 passenger bus on a 4- hour tour, works out to less than $15/person for the 4 hour tour! Shoot us a text, and we can talk about it.
- When should we book the tour? It's never too early to book a tour! Now, for those of you who like to just “go with the flow,” we do too. We love not having a hard schedule when we vacation. After all, that’s what vacations are all about. But, we do have folks who book more than a year out, and others who call about a tour tomorrow. Guess which one usually has the best chance of getting the tour they want? So by all means relax and enjoy your visit to Washington. But if you’d like us to be a part of your visit, please give us as much heads up as you can …and still feel relaxed.
- What other sites are there to choose from? Lots! But the ones that most folks are interested in, are: Washington National Cathedral National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial 17 Smithsonian Museums Museum of the Bible Pentagon 9/11 Memorial Air Force Memorial White House Visitor Center Botanic Gardens Bartholdi Fountain Iwo Jima (Marine Corp Memorial) Ford's Theater (where Lincoln was shot) Petersen House (where Lincoln died) Union Station National Archives Jefferson Pier Stone Washington Monument and the list goes on.....
- Can we add some extra sites to our tour? Yes. We just need to talk about what extra sites you want to see. Give us a call. We'll help.

If you can’t make it in person, activities will be available on the museum’s website. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Free admission; parking $15.
