ABOUT DISTURBED:

Emerging out of Chicago at the turn of the century with an insidious, infectious, and inimitable vision without comparison, Disturbed have quietly dominated hard rock on their own terms. They make the kind of music that pushes you to hold on tighter, fight harder, and persevere forever. It’s why they’ve quietly claimed a place at the forefront of 21 st century rock with record-breaking success, sales of over 17 million-plus units, nearly 8 billion streams, and sold out shows around the globe. The two-time GRAMMY® Award-nominated quartet have notched five consecutive #1 debuts on the Billboard Top 200, occupying rarified air alongside Metallica—the only other hard rock group to accomplish this feat. Since their influential 5x-platinum debut The Sickness in 2000, they have built a bulletproof catalog highlighted by a procession of smashes, including the platinum “Stupify , ” “Inside The Fire , ” and “Land of Confusion , ” 2x-platinum “Stricken , ” 6x-platinum “Down With The Sickness , ” and 7x-platinum “The Sound of Silence , ” to name a few. The latter notably received a GRAMMY® Award nomination in the category of “Best Rock Performance” as the band earned “Best Rock Artist” at the 2017 iHeartRadioMusic Awards. Still, Disturbed never stop, igniting their next chapter with their 2022 album Divisive featuring their 15 th #1 at Rock Radio “Hey You , ” “Unstoppable , ” and more.

In a recent interview with Wichita's T95 The Rock Station , DISTURBED guitarist Dan Donegan was asked how he and his bandmates have managed to keep their personal friendships and working relationships intact after all these years. He responded: "I think the older we've gotten, the more mature and more respect that we have for each other and everybody's role that we play. That's just developing over time — from the early days of being in a band in the beginning and finding our way and finding our sound and whose contribution to what. Everybody has a slightly different role in the band, and just being able to accept certain things — why certain things work that way and just kind of respecting that. And everybody's important, but we have slightly different roles too. And there's just that great deal of respect, like I said.

"In our time apart, it is literally apart — everybody lives in different states," he explained. "Maybe that helps that there's a little bit of breathing room, if we are too much around each other. I think we've just got such a strong bond and a good friendship. Like I said, we respect each other. It doesn't mean we don't have differences [and aren't sometimes] at odds, especially in the studio, if we're trying to work on what we feel what's best for the song; somebody might feel differently about it. So we definitely have those moments. But it's all for the good of the band and of the song."

Donegan 's comments echo those of his bandmate, DISTURBED drummer Mike Wengren , who told the 100.3 The X Rocks radio station that "respect" is the main reason he and the other guys in the group have managed to stay together for so long. "We are all four — we're brothers, but we're all different individuals as well," he said. "And we pool off of each other's strengths. We have a tremendous team in the four of us, but also in the people that work behind the scenes as well — our crew, our management, record label; I mean, the list goes on and on — we have a tremendous team. But as far as the four of us are concerned, it really just comes down to mutual respect. We actually like each other. [ Laughs ] We check in with each other."

He continued: "It was so funny because during the pandemic, living in different states, [we] couldn't see each other for a while. And when we wrapped up in October of '19, was the last show we did, me and Danny actually took a trip. David [ Draiman , vocals] was living in Hawaii at the time, and we went out there to go stay with him and his wife and son and just chill out for a little bit. The thought was maybe when we got home, we would start writing again, and blah blah blah. And lo and behold, just about — what? maybe two months later, everything was shut down and almost two years later we finally see each other. It was almost like [scene in the movie] 'Chariots Of Fire' on the beach — we all ran into each other's arms practically. Like, 'Hey…'"

DISTURBED 's latest album, "Divisive" , was recorded early last year with producer Drew Fulk ( MOTIONLESS IN WHITE , LIL PEEP , HIGHLY SUSPECT ) in Nashville, Tennessee.

Donegan 's divorce inspired the "Divisive" song "Don't Tell Me" , which is a duet with HEART 's Ann Wilson . In two decades, it breaks ground as the first-ever guest collaboration on a DISTURBED record.

According to Billboard , "Divisive" sold 26,000 equivalent album units in its first week of release, with 22,000 units via album sales.

On the all-format Billboard 200 chart, "Divisive" debuted at No. 13.

DISTURBED has had five No. 1s on the all-genre chart, beginning with "Believe" in 2002.

Disturbed Announce New U.S. Tour Dates

Disturbed – Story by Anne Erickson, courtesy photo

Disturbed: The longstanding hard rock band has a slew of new tour dates on the way

Disturbed have a lot of touring up ahead, as the longstanding hard rock band have announced some new Disturbed tour dates for the U.S., set to kick off in early 2024. The dates are part of their ongoing “Take Back Your Life” tour.

The Disturbed tour will kick off with a Jan. 19 date in Peoria, Illinois, and run through a March 3 gig in Las Vegas, Nevada. Opening for all 23 dates will be Falling in Reverse and Plush. A Live Nation ticket pre-sale begins Wednesday (Oct. 18) at 10 a.m. local time through Ticketmaster using the code VOCALS. Then, general ticket sales start Friday (Oct. 20). For more ticket information, visit the band’s website .

Disturbed are touring in continued support of their eighth studio album, “Divisive.” The last leg of their tour behind “Divisive” wrapped up in early August with a show in Indiana . “Divisive” dropped in Nov. 2022 and earned Disturbed another No. 1 rock single in “Hey You.” At the time, band frontman David Draiman told Loudwire Nights that “Hey You” was a wake-up call of sorts. “I think that the lockdown and the pandemic in general, the past two years, three years of our existence already at this point, has been this incredible, perfect storm of elements,” he said.

Regarding “Hey You,” Draiman added, “We had isolation, we had removal from any kind of normalcy, we had people really go down the rabbit hole of social media in a big, big way. And if anything, it intensified the division that was already there. People really stick to their respective camps and their respective allegiances, whether it’s political or religious or otherwise. It’s become hyper-intensified over the course of these past number of years.”

Disturbed’s following single, “Bad Man,” also performed well on the charts.

What a great night, excellent views from the disabled viewing platform. Skindred were as funny and metal as usual! Then came the mighty Disturbed, amazing background imagery, they always deliver! David in one of his most empathic moods, he's just found out about Ogie, Oy, Ogie, Oy, Ogie, Ogie, Ogie, Oy, Oy, Oy! He asked us to explain. Lots of British bands do it, have done for years! He said "I like that shit!"

Dan, John & Mike were all on form as was David. There isnt a vocalist that can do what he does, the way he does it! Amazing

Please come back soon.

First the bad points.

Ally Pally ventilation was non existent. Even without any limb movement everyone was sweating like a pig. Imagine what happened when some started to. External temperature was a healthy 13C, so no excuses accepted. Big fire effects made it even worse.

Sound quality was questionable. Seems to be slightly better when Skindread heated up the public, but later on distortion was pretty bad to my ears. And I'm about the voice and overal sound, not guitars...

Good points?

Everything else very smooth. Starting from massive, but well organised queue.

Gig itself very good. Skindread, maybe not my favourite, but live was perfect. One of the best supports I've ever seen.

Disturbed concert was as expected. Many old hits and songs from new album. Dave built great atmosphere from the beginning up to the big end.

This concert had the best light show I have ever seen - and that's a resume of over 190 concerts for me. Every song had different lighting - some had red/blue, some had green/orange, and one song even had purple lights - I've never seen anyone use PURPLE lights.

The venue itself is amazing. I had my own seat so the concert was also comfortable.

Overall, the energy of the band was mesmerizing. Although there is only 4 of them on this enormous stage, their presence filled up the remaining space.

I loved Distrubed before, but after this experience they are definitely my favorite band of all time.

David is not only an amazing vocal, but an even better person. Thank you, David, my brother, for making the trip to Vienna worthwhile <3

Disturbed + Falling in Reverse Play First 2024 Show Together – Setlist + Video

As the 2024 touring schedule started to roll out, the pairing of Disturbed and Falling in Reverse  on the "Take Back Your Life" trek was among the most anticipated early-year tours, pairing up two of rock's biggest acts on a bill that is rounded out by one of rock's most promising newer bands, Plush .

The tour got underway Friday (Jan. 19), with the three bands taking over the Peoria Civic Center in Peoria, Illinois.

In advance of the run, Plush dropped the new song " Hope It Hurts " off their upcoming EP Find the Beautiful . They gave the track its live debut during the tour's opening night, while also dropping in a cover of Heart's "Barracuda."

Falling in Reverse, who had a big 2023 thanks to the success of their singles "Watch the World Burn" and "Last Resort (Reimagined)," were next up, followed by headliners Disturbed who are continuing to support 2022's  Divisive . Disturbed gave "Don't Tell Me," which they initially performed with Ann Wilson, its live debut, with Moriah Formica taking on the Wilson vocal.

Disturbed Are Using Pyro for a Powerful Purpose on Their Take Back Your Life Tour

The band’s encore actually set off the venue’s sprinkler system

Disturbed live 2023 [Credit: Matt Bishop]

Last night in Camden, New Jersey, Disturbed brought out all the stops at the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion. They ignited as much fire as possible on a shed stage, and the four tiers of flames actually set off the venue’s sprinkler system during the encore. All of the pyro his helping the band with a powerful purpose much bigger than the massive flames in their set. With the Take Back Your Life Tour, the band is bringing incredibly difficult topics like addiction, depression, and suicide, into the very brightest spotlight where they need to be.

Check out our full photo gallery and setlist from the show below.

Early in the evening, breakout sensations Jinjer kicked things off with brute force. The Ukrainian metallers have been making some serious noise Stateside, having recently wrapped up a solid headlining tour last year. Now, they’re pushing hard rock heavyweights Breaking Benjamin and Disturbed to give a little extra every night.

They kicked things off with “Perennial,” then proceeded to play several songs from their latest studio effort, 2021’s Wallflower . They also treated fans to the viciously calculated “I Speak Astronomy.” They wrapped things up with “As I Boil Ice.” While the group has a solid amount of material stockpiled, they’re using this time wisely to push their latest record here in the U.S. The band sounds as tight as they do on tape, and vocalist Tatiana Shmayluk is a ferocious force on stage.

Jinjer have a few headlining dates sprinkled into their schedule as this run with Disturbed winds down. They also have a highly anticipated performance slated at Blue Ridge Rock Festival on Sunday, September 10. With any luck, Jinjer won’t take too long to return to North America where they are picking up an incredible amount of steam.

Hard rock hitmakers Breaking Benjamin rarely disappoint anymore. At this point, what you see is what you get. The band’s lineup has been consistent since band anchor Benjamin Burnley brought the group back in 2014. With a staunch group of musicians surrounding him, Burnley and the rest of the band simply stroll onto the stage and crank out hit after hit.

They opened with “Failure,” the lead single from their 2015 comeback album Dark Before Dawn . From there, it was a barrage of hits and fan favorites spanning their entire discography. Highlights included “Until the End,” “Red Cold River,” “Blow Me Away,” “I Will Not Bow,” and the breakout hit “Polyamorous” from their 2002 debut LP Saturate .

The band’s 2004 classic We Are Not Alone got a lot of attention. The band pulled four hits from the record – “Follow,” “Sooner or Later,” the criminally underrated “Simple Design,” and the smash hit “So Cold.” The platinum album is one of the better rock records of the early 2000s, and it’s great to see the band giving it the love it deserves.

The wrapped up their solid 13-song set with “The Diary of Jane.” One of the band’s biggest songs, the crowd erupted as the opening notes gently tapped their eardrums. There’s probably no better way to end a Breaking Benjamin show at this point in the band’s career.

Breaking Benjamin live 2023 [Credit: Matt Bishop]

Disturbed have long been at the forefront of heavy music. Over the last two decades, the band has dominated not just rock, but popular music as a whole. Beginning with the release of their sophomore effort Believe, Disturbed proceeded to release five albums from 2002 to 2015 that all debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Along with Metallica and Dave Matthews Band, they are only the third band in history to achieve this feat. Now, the band is armed with a massive arsenal of hits and they’re showcasing their entire career on their current tour, which is a huge treat for the fans.

The band walked onto the stage behind a huge curtain hiding the insanity of their stage show. When the curtain dropped, the band launched into “Hey You” and stage was immediately set a-blaze. The lead single of their latest release Divisive which arrived last year, it was a great way to kick things off with the crowd screaming every “Hey You” and nearly drowning out frontman David Draiman. After starting with something (relatively) new, they went all the way back to their landmark debut with “Stupify.” Then, the pyro intensified and so did the music with their 2005 anthem “Ten Thousand Fists.”

Disturbed live 2023 [Credit: Matt Bishop]

With a discography chock-full of commercial hits and fan favorites, choosing a setlist is probably getting pretty tough for Disturbed. They’re doing a good job, though, pulling at least one song from every single one of their eight studio efforts. Another highlight early on was the soaring “Prayer,” one of the finer cuts in their catalog.

Shortly after “Prayer,” Disturbed played “A Reason to Fight” from their 2018 LP Evolution . The band is using all their pyro for a powerful purpose on this tour. They’re using songs like “A Reason to Fight” to shine a light on overall human well-being. Before performing the song, the band plays a powerful PSA about suicide prevention on the venue screens. After the song, Draiman gets completely candid with the audience about his own demons. Fully exposing the rawest part of his soul, he speaks about how he contemplated suicide last year. His powerful message is poignant. Over the last few years, we’ve lost some of rock’s greatest musicians like Chris Cornell of Soundgarden and Chester Bennington of Linkin Park to suicide, not to mention the tens of thousands of people we lose every year because they took their own life. It’s been long overdue for mental health to be discussed more openly, and for it to be more than okay that people to ask for the help and support they need to take back their lives.

Midway through the set, they broke out their bruising hit “Another Way to Die” for the first time on this tour. The song hasn’t seen the lights of the stage since 2017. Disturbed have been keeping some songs in their back pocket on this run, treating fans in each city to a rare gem in addition to their regular set.

Later on before performing “The Light,” Draiman took a significant amount of time to interact with fans, spread some hope and positivity. One fan was invited on stage to share his story. He met the band during the Meet & Greet earlier in the day, and Draiman was moved by his story. Draiman handed him the mic, and he told the crowd how the band’s song “Hold” got him through losing his mother, and “Prayer” got him through the loss of his son.

Music is a powerful thing, and Disturbed are maximizing their power right now for the ultimate good.

The band wrapped things up with the riff monster “Stricken.” Then, with the capacity crowd screaming for more, Disturbed returned to the stage for a hefty three-song encore that started with “Unstoppable.” Then, the played the song that started it all – their seminal song “Down With the Sickness” from their first LP. They proceeded to end with “Inside the Fire,” and that’s when things really escalated.

The band made the song’s title literal, as the stage was absolutely engulfed in the most fire the fans had seen all night – so much so that it set off the venue’s sprinkler system . “I guess we did it again,” Draiman said, referencing a similar incident earlier in the tour. As the water rained down from the rafters, the band played on and finished up the night with a moment that those in attendance won’t soon forget.

The current  Take Back Your Life Tour  runs through September 2, wrapping up at the Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville, Indiana.

Disturbed’s eighth studio album  Divisive  arrived last November via Reprise Records. Produced by Drew Faulk (Papa Roach, Highly Suspect, Motionless In White), the album hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Hard Rock and Top Alternative Albums charts. The record features a very special guest appearance by Heart’s Ann Wilson on “Don’t Tell Me.”

Still, Disturbed never stop, igniting their next chapter with their 2022 album Divisive featuring their 17 th #1 at Rock Radio “Hey You , ” “Unstoppable , ” and more.

Rock trailblazer Heart reunites for a world tour and a new song

NEW YORK (AP) — Heart — the pioneering band that melds Nancy Wilson’s shredding guitar with her sister Ann’s powerhouse vocals — is hitting the road this spring and fall for a world tour that Nancy Wilson describes as “the full-on rocker size.”

“I’ve been strengthening. I’ve got my trainer,” she says. “You go one day at a time and you strengthen one workout session at a time. It’s a lot of work, but it’s the only job I know how to do.”

The Rock & Roll Hall of Famers who gave us classic tracks like “Magic Man,” “Crazy on You” and “Alone” will be playing all the hits, some tracks from of their solo albums — like Ann Wilson’s “Miss One and Only” and Nancy Wilson’s “Love Mistake” — and a new song called “Roll the Dice.”

“I like to say we have really good problems because the problem we have is to choose between a bunch of different, really cool songs that people love already,” says Nancy Wilson.

Like “Barracuda,” a sonic burst which first appeared on the band’s second album, “Little Queen” and is one of the band’s most memorable songs.

“You can’t mess with ‘Barracuda.’ It’s just the way it is. It is great. You get on the horse and you ride. It’s a galloping steed of a ride to go on. And for everybody, including the band.”

The tour kicks off Saturday at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina, and will hit cities including Atlanta, Boston, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, Cleveland, Detroit, as well as the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado. International dates include stops in London, Oslo, Berlin, Stockholm, Montreal and Glasgow.

The band’s Royal Flush Tour will have Cheap Trick as the opening act for many stops, but Def Leppard and Journey will join for three stadium dates in Cleveland, Toronto and Boston this summer.

Ann and Nancy Wilson will be filled out by Ryan Wariner (lead and rhythm guitar), Ryan Waters (guitars), Paul Moak (guitars, keyboards and backing vocals), Tony Lucido (bass and backing vocals) and Sean T. Lane (drums).

The tour is the first in several years for Heart, which was rocked by a body blow in 2016 when Ann Wilson’s husband was arrested for assaulting Nancy’s 16-year-old twin sons. Nancy Wilson says that’s all in the past.

“We can take any kind of turbulence, me and Ann, and we’ve always been OK together,” she says. “We’re still steering the ship and happy to do it together. So we’re tight.”

The new tour will take them to Canada, which was warm to the band when they were starting out as what Nancy Wilson calls “a couple of chicks from Seattle.” She recalls Vancouver embracing Heart, and touring in one van across Canada in the dead of winter on two lane highways.

The Wilson sisters broke rock’s glass ceiling in the ‘70s and Nancy Wilson says they only had male influences to look to, like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones and the Moody Blues.

Now she says she looks out and loves seeing generations of female rockers. “You have boygenius and you have Billie Eilish and you have Olivia Rodrigo and so many amazing women — Maggie Rogers and Sheryl Crow, who calls us her big influence. And then Billie Eilish might have Sheryl Crow as her influence. So it’s a really nice legacy to pass along. I like to say we’re the OG — the original gangsters — of women and rock.”

Heart has made it into the Rock Hall, won Grammys, sold millions of albums and rocked hundreds of thousands of fans but Nancy Wilson has one place she’d still like to shine.

Next year will mark the 50th anniversary of their debut album, “Dreamboat Annie,” which was the same year that “Saturday Night Live” started. “So we’re actually kind of putting it out there — Heart never played on ‘Saturday Night Live.’ But what about the 50th birthday party with Heart?”

Georgia Recruiting Tour - Spring Practice Kicks Off For Biggest Prospects

Georgia Recruiting Tour - Spring Practice Kicks Off For Biggest Prospects

  • Author: Brooks Austin

Every spring, I set out to see as many high school football prospects as this great state of Georgia provides as I possibly can. Here are my thoughts, notes, and experiences from the 2024 trail.

The State of Georgia is not short of football talent or resources. At the conclusion of the 2023 NFL season, there were 136 players from the state of Georgia. It's become the place to be not only during the fall when looking for football talent, but it's perhaps even more paramount to be out on the trail during the spring time for college programs looking to land Peachstate products.

Here in Georgia, spring practices involve ten practices and a scrimmage against either yourself or an opponent. For comparison, in California, they can't put the pads on until August. So, during this time every year, I set out to see as many high school football programs in this great state as I possibly can. These are the stories from the road. Enjoy.

Jonesboro An (8-4) football team in 6A a year ago, the Jonesboro football program is not short of talent. They are not short of players with major offers, particularly their junior defensive back group. DL, Jeremiah Ticket, DB, Cortez Redding, LB, Jeremiah Collier, DB, Jamar Owens, and DB Hontavious Wyman all hold division one offers. I left impressed with 2026 corner Jamar Owens and 2025 DL Jeremiah Ticket. Owens is a 6'1, 190-pound corner with tremendous length and athleticism, it should be a massive spring and summer for Ownes with regards to offers from some of the biggest programs like potentially Georgia and Ohio State where he's expected to camp soon. As for Ticket, Ticket is originally from Alaska and has only been playing football for about two seasons now, and boy is he athletic at his size. I was simply blown away by his movement skills at his size.

I’m keeping tabs on @JeremiahTicket7 6’3, 270 pounds relatively new to football. Big joker from Alaska originally. Think he’s just scratching the surface. pic.twitter.com/7RD4hLmB36 — Brooks Austin (@BrooksAustinBA) April 24, 2024

Action Report: Will Zalatoris, Sahith Theegala popular ahead of Zurich Classic of New Orleans

The event will use alternating formats of Four-balls (best ball) and Foursomes (alternate shot). The first and third rounds will be Four-ball, and the second and final rounds will be Foursomes.

A team event presents some unique variables when it comes to handicapping, but bettors at the BetMGM online sportsbook have a consensus favorite.

As of Wednesday, the team of Will Zalatoris and Sahith Theegala has pulled in a massive 24.8% of the handle on 16.3% of the tickets. Their odds opened at +1000 and have dropped to +800. This team features two of the best iron players on the PGA TOUR, and are both seeking their second career victories.

“Punters are betting into Theegala and Zalatoris like they have already won,” explained BetMGM’s Tristan Davis. “They have been by far the most popular duo as of now.”

Theegala is coming off a solo second at the RBC Heritage and has five top-10 finishes this season. Zalatoris, who returned this season following back surgery last April, has three top 10s in nine starts.

Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele (+450), who won the event in 2022, are the second-most popular team. They are drawing 19.2% of the handle on 15.1% of the tickets.

Schauffele has seven top 10s in 10 starts this season, while Cantlay is coming off a T3 at the RBC Heritage, his best finish this season. The two also have plenty of team experience, having been paired together in past Ryder Cups and Presidents Cups.

Theegala/Zalatoris, Nick Taylor/Adam Hadwin (+2500, down from +4000) and Cantlay/Schauffele are BetMGM’s biggest liabilities.

Current Handle & Tickets

1. Will Zalatoris/Sahith Theegala – 24.8% 2. Xander Schauffele/Patrick Cantlay – 19.2% 3. Rory McIlroy/Shane Lowry – 10.6% 4. Nick Taylor/Adam Hadwin – 7.9% 5. Collin Morikawa/Kurt Kitayama – 5.5%

1. Will Zalatoris/Sahith Theegala – 16.3% 2. Xander Schauffele/Patrick Cantlay – 15.1% 3. Rory McIlroy/Shane Lowry – 8.8% 4. Collin Morikawa/Kurt Kitayama – 7.9% 5. Nick Taylor/Adam Hadwin – 7.2%

McIlroy/Lowry (+750) are good friends who have been on the same Ryder Cup teams in the past, but both men are looking to build some momentum. McIlroy only has one top-10 finish this season, while Lowry has two.

The Canadian duo of Taylor/Hadwin finished second to Nick Hardy/Davis Riley a year ago and could use this week to showcase themselves as a potential Presidents Cup pairing for later this year.
