The Cadillac Three Announce 10th Anniversary Tour Dates

The Cadillac Three have announced a new tour celebrating the Nashville trio’s 10 years as a band. Singer-guitarist Jaren Johnston, lap-steel player Kelby Ray, and drummer Neil Mason will play their first show in front of fans since the 2020 C2C Festival in Europe.

Beginning June 11th at the Country Thunder Iowa festival in Forest City, Iowa, the trek hits a mix of outdoor venues and clubs, highlighted by a pair of homecoming shows at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on September 1st and 2nd. The band will also play Gruene Hall in New Braunfels, Texas; the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta; and TempleLive in Fort Smith, Arkansas, the site of the first pandemic-era concert back in May 2020. The tour wraps up in November with a gig in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Tickets are available now on Ticketmaster.com .

“We can’t wait to celebrate 10 years as a band by getting back on the road this summer and fall,” Mason tells Rolling Stone . “Our appreciation for playing shows — and for our fans — has never been higher than it is right now and we can’t wait to bring 14 months of pent-up energy to stages all over America.”

While 2020’s events kept the Cadillac Three off the road, the band continued to entertain fans, launching the livestream series Country Fuzz Presents at the Music City venue the Basement. They also released a pair of albums last year: the hard-charging Country Fuzz and the funky departure Tabasco & Sweet Tea . The group, who were nominated for Group of the Year at this year’s ACM Awards, will play songs from throughout their career on the 10th Anniversary Tour.

Friday 5th February. Electric Ballroom. Whiskey Myers/Cadillac Three.

Before I begin the review just a word for the Electric Ballroom. It’s one of my favourite venues and I can’t remember a bad gig there recently. I understand that Friday nights are club nights at many of the capitals venues but a 9.30 curfew….. really. It wouldn’t be so bad if their social media team bothered to post revised door and stage times on Twitter but hey what a crazy use of social media that would be, to actually inform. Anyway thanks to both bands efforts we arrive at 7.00pm for the excellent Whiskey Myers.

I have been a fan of Whiskey Myers for some time so was really looking forward to seeing them live as I’m not sure they’ve been over here before. Whiskey Myers are a six piece southern country rock band from Texas. Visually they are mixed bag that includes cool lead singer with a hint of Eddie Vedder, super cool bass player who never misses a beat on his beautiful Rickenbacker , hippie lead guitarist, 80’s metal Axl Rose lookalike second lead but together they produce classic southern rock. I can’t give them any higher praise than they have a touch of Creedence about them

A good turnout for them as support at the ungodly hour of 7.00pm and they rattle through the forty minutes of their set to a great response from the knowledgeable crowd. Some great twin lead interplay between the guitarists showcase their abundant talents especially on my favourite ‘Home’ It’s all over too quickly and I hope they come back soon on their headline tour as I would welcome another hour of this great music.

The Cadillac Three hail from Nashville and while they look a little like outcasts from ‘Wayne’s World’ with their stereotypical skinny jeans, check shirts and trucker hats they rock like the proverbial bastards.

Lyrically they can be a little limited to whisky, the South and women but in the main they avoid being too derivative. Put them on a stage however and they just swallow you in with their energy and pure enjoyment at performing. There is a real warmth to the performance and this permeates into the crowd who seem to know all of the words to all of the songs.

It’s a non-stop juggernaut of noisy in your face southern rock. They may not have the subtleties of Whiskey Myers but that’s what makes this double bill work. There’s no bass in the band just lead, drums and pedal steel which is unfortunately lost in the mix occasionally.

Highlights tonight include ‘White Lightning’, ‘Down to the River’ and set closer ‘The South’. There’s a real resurgence in Southern rock at the moment and these guys are leading the charge. Not as polished as Blackberry Smoke (and that’s a good thing) and not quite as raw as Left Lane Cruiser they have managed to find the balance.

A great double bill and ears are ringing for quite a bit after this one.

The country rock band The Cadillac Three is an upcoming star in rock music. Coming from Tennessee，“the South” marks a significant element in their music style. Being recognized for their melodic rhythm, TCT takes quite lightly on heavy metal sounds that is often criticized among country rock. However, their raggedy looks— casual jeans and T-shirts, baseball hats and long bushy hair would remind us the charm of the heavy metal bands in the 90s such as Alice In Chains. The TCT songs are a fusion of folk music flavor and heavy metal rock’s harshness.

When asked about their ambition in an interview, lead singer Jaren Johnston answered: “ we’ve been touring in a van. This weekend we had a bus. We’d like to make that a permanent situation. So the bus is definitely a big goal for all of us.” Mentioning of vehicle type seems quite bitterly funny if you think about the band’s name is actually “The Cadillac Three”. Regardless of the band’s dissatisfaction with their current financial situation, TCT’s career takes off quite quickly. Only formed in 2013, TCT already built a steady following with their hit singles “ The South”, “Party Like You” and “Get Your Buzz On”. Also, they debuted their first album with a major label record company. All growing up in Nashville and being nourished by the music of Neil Young and Tom Petty alike, TCT continues the country rock traditions but are rocking in their own refreshing style.

In a yet again vastly overcrowded academy 2 in Manchester, the country band the Cadillac 3 played supported the band I really came to see the support band whiskey Myers

Everything was good about the gig apart from some idiot saying to his friend "I'm going to slap him in a minute" meaning me(no idea what I'd done to annoy him)I took this as a cue to leave the venue halfway through the Cadillac three, which took 15 mins to do so due to the overcrowding.

This is the best live band out there right now in any genre of music. They have never had a single hit on country radio but still manage to sell out all of these clubs. What does that tell you?

For 2 hours, these three give you every ounce of themselves. There is a different set list every night. So much talent, so much heart, so much soul. Bravo. Please come back to the east coast soon.

Just saw The Cadillac Three live at the House Of Blues in Anaheim CA last weekend. Are they good? ABSOLUTELY!! Totally rockin' from beginning to end! They played us some brand new music as well as some of their popular hits (The South, White Lightning), I think a few new TC3 fans were made that night! They are the best! I cannot wait to see their next show!!

This band is "AMAZING" every time we see them. If you like southern swag with a lot of great lead, these babes are for

you ! We plan on seeing them again. Too much is never enough. Sound mix is always choice, too. Catch a full show, if you can.

This show was truly amazing it was in a small venue so very personal and every song they sing is just pure gold, I love there feel. The guys are all amazing they played so many of their songs and got the crowd involved so aweskme

TCT is an amazing band! Great concert! Fantastic songs and lyrics. Fantastic musicians. Great vocals. Loved every minute of it! The atmosphere was rocking along with the band. Hopefully they’ll be back.

Amazing band, great songs, huge talent, great blokes, made me homesick for the South!

I wish they weren't sold out everywhere so I could go and see them again...
