travel emt jobs

Amanda Goad is the most amazing recruiter I have worked with. She is the most responsive and go-getter. She is in constant contact with you or hospitals to get you offers and/or advocating for you. She is super motivated and helpful. If you have the opportunity to use her, you will not regret it.

travel emt jobs

Needed to move across country to be next to my partner, but blindly jumping into a full time job for a hospital system I was not familiar with was out of the question. Host Healthcare (Natalie G specifically) stood by me and helped me fulfill my absurdly specific requests. I was a first time time traveler and I couldn't have made it without the support I received!
Just finished my first contract with Host Healthcare (fifth overall) and they were amazing! Specifically my recruiter Jenny Berroth. Jenny was so helpful and easy to communicate with. I had a couple issues come up and Jenny was all over them and took care of everything so I could just concentrate on being a nurse, while she handled the rest. I can’t recommend Host and Jenny enough! You have to give Host and Jenny a try, you’ll be glad you did!

History of stary oskol.

In 1300, there was a village called Ugly on the the territory of the present city. Today, it is one of the districts of Stary Oskol. At that time, the village was part of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and was a border crossing point on the border with the Golden Horde.

The settlement of Oskol was founded by Russian Tsar Fyodor Ioanovich’s order (Ivan’s the Terrible son) to protect the southern borders of the Russian kingdom in 1593. The bulk of the population were peasants and the military.

In 1617, the town was burned by the Poles. In 1625, 1642 and 1677, the Crimean Tatars approached Stary Oskol, but could not capture it. The town was renamed Stary Oskol (meaning Old Oskol) in 1655, when the town of Tsaryov-Alexeyev, located down the river, was renamed Novy Oskol (New Oskol). Fortifications of the town existed until the 18th century.

More Historical Facts…

Gradually, Stary Oskol turned into peaceful, commercial and merchant town - the center of an agricultural district. Industrial production was represented mainly by enterprises on processing agricultural products.

In 1780, the town got its coat of arms. In 1784, Stary Oskol like most Russian towns of that time was rebuilt according to a new plan signed by Empress Catherine II. A large number of brick houses were built, mostly two-story buildings. The historic center of Stary Oskol has been preserved to our time.

In the second half of the 19th century, the town had a wide network of schools, libraries, reading rooms, printing, secondary schools. In 1894, construction of the railway began, trade and industry began to develop rapidly.

Until the 1930s, there were eleven Orthodox churches in Stary Oskol. During the Second World War, Stary Oskol was occupied by the Germans from July 2, 1942 to February 5, 1943. In 1954, the city became part of the newly formed Belgorod region.

In the late 1960s - early 1970s, in connection with the active development of the Kursk Magnetic Anomaly (the most powerful iron ore basin in the world), Stary Oskol became a major center of iron and steel industry.

Stary Oskol was declared a city of three top-priority Komsomol construction projects. The largest enterprises: Lebedinsky Mining and Processing Plant, Stoilensky Mining and Processing Plant, Oskolsky Electrometallurgical Plant became not only the city-forming enterprises, but also the largest industrial enterprises of the country. Stary Oskol experienced a new birth.

Today, Stary Oskol is a rapidly developing city, one of the leading mining and metallurgical centers of Russia.

Ukrainian forces destroyed 18 out of 51 missiles launched during a wave of Russian air strikes on Monday , Ukraine’s air force said.

It said Russia had launched 32 cruise missiles overnight as well as eight “Shahed” drones, and that all the drones had been downed.

“Critical infrastructure facilities, industrial civilian and military facilities were attacked,” the air force said, according to Reuters.

In the eastern region of Kharkiv, an elderly woman who was pulled from the rubble of her house in the city of Zmiiv has died, regional governor Oleg Synegubov said.

Russia says 300 residents evacuated from Belgorod over Ukraine strikes

Russia has evacuated about 300 residents of Belgorod , a city near the Ukrainian border, because of strikes by Kyiv, the governor of the region said on Monday.

“Some 300 residents of Belgorod, who decided to temporarily evacuate, are at the moment being housed in temporary shelter centres in Stary Oskol, Gubkin and the Korochansky district” which are further from the border, Vyacheslav Gladkov, the governor of Belgorod region, said.

The evacuation from Belgorod is the largest of a major Russian city since Moscow launched its full-scale invasion in February 2022.

Belgorod is just over half an hour’s drive from the border with Ukraine, making it a vital stop in Russian supply lines. The city has come under extensive shelling and drone attacks for months .

Ukrainian attacks on Belgorod on 30 December killed 25 people, local officials said.

Russia launches large-scale missile attack across Ukraine, officials say

Russia launched a large-scale missile attack across Ukraine on Monday, officials said.

Ukraine’s air force said the country was under several waves of cruise missile threat and in some regions ballistic missiles, Reuters reports.

“The enemy is viciously attacking peaceful cities,” Oleksandr Vilkul, the mayor of the southern Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih , wrote on Telegram.

Anatoliy Kurtiev, the secretary of the south-eastern Zaporizhzhia city council, said on Telegram that a missile attack on the city resulted in injuries.

Elsewhere, at least one woman was injured in an attack on Ukraine’s second-largest city, Kharkiv , its mayor, Ihor Terekhov, wrote on Telegram. He said industrial facilities were hit, resulting in a fire.

Five explosions were heard in the city of Zaporizhzhia, regional governor Yuriy Malashko said, and at least two people were injured.

Ukraine’s military officials in other cities, including Dnipropetrovsk and Khmelnytskyi have also said their cities were under a “massive missile attack” by Russia .

Hello and welcome back to the Guardian’s live coverage of Russia’s continuing war against Ukraine . It has been 683 days since Vladimir Putin’s illegal full-scale invasion, making this day 684. Here are the main developments:

Homes in Ukraine’s second city of Kharkiv escaped being hit by a Russian missile attack on Sunday , said the mayor, Ihor Terekhov. “It landed near private residential houses in one of the city’s districts. Preliminary information indicates no damage or casualties.”

Russian S-300 missiles hit Kharkiv city twice, said Oleh Syniehubov, the regional governor, and strikes were also recorded in nearby Vovchansk , but so far no casualties had been reported. Kharkiv and Vovchansk lie close to the border near Belgorod in Russia.

The Japanese foreign minister, Yoko Kamikawa, forced into a bomb shelter by an air alert in Kyiv on Sunday, pledged $37m to a Nato fund that supports equipment such as a drone detection system. She also announced donations of five mobile gas turbine generators and seven transformers, to help with power cuts caused by Russian attacks .
