Carnival "THE FUN SHIP" recipe of the DOD (drink of the day) on the first day of your sailing:1oz Amaretto Almond Liqueur

• 1/2oz Pineapple Juice
• 1/2oz Orange Juice
• 1/2oz Lime Juice
• 1/4oz Apricot Brandy
• 1 splash grenadine syrup

• 0,1oz lemon juice
• 2oz dark rum
• 6oz Hawaiian Punch

• 1oz Cruzan Mango
• 1oz Captain Morgan Spiced
• 1oz Vitality Lemonade
• 2oz Vitality Mango
• 2 mint leaves
• 1 1/4oz Simple Syrup.

"Fresh Italian" recipe

• 1 1/4oz Cruzan Vanilla
• 1 1/4oz Aperol
• 1/4oz Orange Juice
• 1/2oz Vitality Lemonade mix
• 1/2oz Simple Syrup.

• 5oz Bacardi 151 Rum
• 1 package frozen Mango mix
• 1 package frozen Pina Colada mix
• mix the pina colada with 2,5oz rum and ice, then set aside. Mix the mango with 2,5oz rum and ice; while frozen, add the pina colada mix into a cocktail glass, then the mango on top, (separated), and garnish with cherry and pineapple wedge; serve with a straw.

"Mocha Chocolate Getaway" recipe

• 3/4oz Irish Cream
• 1/4oz Kahlua
• 1/4 Butescotch Schnapps
• 2 1/2oz Ice Cream mix
• Chocolate Syrup
• line the inside of a glass with the chocolate syrup; combine in blender all the ingredients and blend with ice, till smooth; top with whipped Irish cream and cherry.

We have been on 3 Carnival cruises and each time we always buy a drink called a BBC. My husband has been trying to make this drink at home, but he doesn't seem to get it right. We know the drink consists of Bailey's Irish Cream, banana, and Colada. My question is does anyone know if it is a banana liqueur or some other kind of banana mixer that is used in the drink? We also don't know how much of each is used. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks

It's banana liqueur. Creme de bananes. Another name is like 40 bananas or something like that. The brand I mean.

A little over an oz of Bailey's.

a little under an oz of creme de bananes.

a couple oz of pina colada mix.

Carnival Shares Recipes & Details New Cocktails on Next Ship Carnival Celebration

Carnival Cruise Line is offering a glimpse at some special Miami-inspired cocktails that were created just for its new ship Carnival Celebration .

The vessel’s debut this fall will continue to mark Carnival’s 50th birthday in PortMiami, where its Fun Ships first started sailing. It’s fitting, then, that the ship will carry themes of Miami not only through its architectural details, but also in its food and beverage offerings.

Bar 820 will feature several Miami-inspired tropical martinis and other drinks that will infuse an essence of southern Florida throughout each voyage, and represent a mixture of local partnerships on board.

“Miami is a rich source of inspiration for drinks, and we tapped into the city’s flavors well with what we’ve developed for Bar 820. Many of the drinks we’ll serve on this ship are the product of collaboration with brilliant partners that share our hometown and our love of fun,” said Edward Allen, Carnival’s vice president of beverage operations.

Carnival Cruise Line’s beverage team created special martinis in tribute to the line’s Miami roots, and unveiled them for the first time at Tropical Distillers near downtown Miami.

Tropical Distillers’ new distillery is set for a debut of its own this fall, and will provide an important component — JF Haden’s Mango Liqueur — for one of the ship’s new cocktails, Mango 305.

Carnival also worked with local partners Magic City Garnish and Filthy Foods to source the garnishes that will adorn each cocktail. Additionally, the cruise line’s brew team worked with M.I.A. Beer Company on a collaborative beer and the brewery’s Miami Weiss beer.

At Tropical Distiller’s new storefront this week, Carnival’s beverage team introduced the Mango 305 and two of its other new cocktails — the Flamingo and the Key Lime Pie — and shared these recipes:

• .5 oz JF Haden’s Mango Liqueur
• .5 oz Reàl mango puree
• 1.5 oz Orange Juice
• .5 oz Lemon Juice
• 1.5 oz Flor de Cana 4 year
• Dehydrated Mango Chip Garnish
• 1 oz Reàl Guava Puree
• 1 oz Lime Juice
• 1 oz Pineapple Juice
• 1.75 oz Bacardi Superior
• Dehydrated Lime Wheel Garnish

Key Lime Pie

• 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
• 1 oz Monin Key Lime Pie Syrup
• .5 oz Madagascar Vanilla Syrup
• 2 oz Bacardi Superior
• Lime Wheel Garnish

Instructions

The instructions are the same for all three cocktails:

• Mix all ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake vigorously
• Double strain into a chilled martini glass
• Add garnish

Additional beverages will be revealed when Carnival Celebration heads to Miami this fall. The new ship will join sister Mardi Gras as Carnival’s second Excel-class vessel, offering year-round seven-night Caribbean sailings starting on November 21.

The revealing of these cocktails comes just a day after Carnival announced that it is now offering its own hard seltzers across the fleet.

Right now, we’re between cruises (sigh…) and we’ve just started a new series on YouTube called “Cruise Cocktail Class”, and we’re mixing up our favorite cruisey cocktails in the comfort of our own home-based Cruise Cantina!

We’ve mixed up some fun drinks before, and have LOTS of cruise cocktail recipes for you on our website. But the Carnival Fun Ship Cocktail is BRAND new to us, and inspired it’s own series! What is the Carnival Fun Ship?

The Carnival Fun Ship is a fruity cocktail served in a tall glass on Carnival Cruise Line, most notably on embarkation day! This is the drink you’ll see the bar waiters walking the pool deck, and usually it’s the “drink of the day” on Day 1 of your cruise! The Carnival Fun Ship goes down EASY, but packs a punch!

So what’s in the Carnival Fun Ship? A base of homemade “fruit punch” mixed with vodka, rum, amaretto liqueur and apricot brandy, all shaken together to create the ultimate Day-ONE-of-your-glorious-cruise goodness. You can skip the homemade fruit punch and go for store bought, but the pineapple-lime-orange juice combo really seals the deal and elevates this recipe.

Plus, you can use the amount of grenadine you like to adjust the color and sweetness.

A little more grenadine = more fruit punch flavor.

Less = more tart, pineapple & tropical flavors shine through!

For YEARS, we overlooked this drink.

Why? Well, to me, it looked like your typical fruity cruise drink. Pretty, tropical, super sugary, but no “kick” – if you know what I mean. Not my jam. Then, I tried one, and WOW, was I wrong. This drink – when made according to the recipe – really delivers. It’s tropical and refreshing, but offers a bit more bang for your buck with 3 full ounces of booze. All of that, without the strong taste of some cocktails. Trust us, you’ll be dancing the wobble on the pool deck after just one of these!

Ready to try this one at home? Let’s do this! Here’s the full recipe :

Carnival “FUN SHIP” drink recipe:

Ingredients (alcohol).

•  1oz Vodka
•  1oz Rum
•  ½ oz Amaretto Almond Liqueur
•  ½ oz Apricot Brandy

Ingredients (Homemade “fruit punch”)

•  1 oz Pineapple Juice
•  1 oz Orange Juice
•  ½ oz Lime Juice
•  1 splash grenadine syrup
•  Dash of bitters

Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker (affiliate link) like the copper one used in our “how to” video or mason jar (affiliate link) with a tight lid and serve over ice!

Optional : instead of the above juices, you can substitute 3-6 ounces of store bought fruit punch, but it tastes SO much better made this way!

• 2oz Chilla Orchata
• ½ oz Grey Goose Vodka
• 1½ oz Patrón XO

Here’s how you do it:

• Pour delicious ingredient #1 — it doesn’t matter which — into your cocktail shaker.
• Pour delicious ingredient #2 into your cocktail shaker. Really, it doesn’t matter which.
• You know step three.
• Shake it like you mean it.
• Pour it into a glass, through a strainer. (Pro tip: the strainer aerates it!)
• Fancy bonus! Garnish the drink with a couple of coffee beans.
