Incase of the passenger's inability to travel due to the passenger / co-passenger testing positive for Corona or being required to undergo quarantine due to the testing positive of a non-traveling family member, then the passenger can reschedule to another cruise without any rescheduling charges (Subject to any fare difference will be payable and customer must reschedule the voyage 48 hours prior the departure). Customers must provide an authenticated medical certificate/letter to avail this benefit.

I stayed two nights and went on one boat and three land safaris in Nagarhole. This is the perfect amount if you want to maximize your chances to see i.e. tigers and get to drive in different areas of the park. I was also able upon asking to change from a canter to a jeep safari and do a stop at Mysore to see the palace on the way back to Bangalore (paid extra) which was no problem. It is hard to describe and to understand how these caves were built, dated from the 2nd century BC, you just have to go and see for yourself! Booked an 11 day tour (Hubbali, Hampi, Badami, Aihole, SolaPur aurangabad) I contacted Sashi at Agora and he basically took care of everything. I presented him with my dates and a rough plan of what I wanted to do, Sashi then put together an itinerary. The cost was really reasonable for 2 people. And during the booking stage I had to make several changes due to some changes in dates, Sashi accommodated and amended everything accordingly with no issues. Payment was done via a bank transfer which was simple. On the first day, our driver Raju bhai came to pick us up and was with us throughout the trip. He was absolutely exceptional. A calm, reliable and completely trust worthy driver who went above an beyond many times. There was always water in the car and he was incredibly knowledgeable, making some of the long drives really interesting. All the guides we had were really knowledgeable, explained everything really well. More so they were local guides who spoke good English and had a lot of insight into a lot of the archaeological sites we visited. All the hotels we stayed in were beautiful, clean and safe. Overall I would recommend Agora to anyone. The service was exceptional and as a result we had the most amazing trip. We extended it to 12 days by adding a few days off to allow us to acclimate and process our experiences. This worked out well, although we got tired on our last few days. They organized everything for us and that really, really well! We were picked up and brought to all important sights. They had good recommendations for clean restaurants and interesting stories on history as well as religion. We booked our hotels separately. We had a bad experience at our hotel in Bodhgaya. Our guide Chandan, which was sent from Agora Voyages, helped as getting the hotel refunded and getting us to the new hotel. We are grateful for that. Also our contact at Agora Voyages, Shashi was always ready to answer questions via WhatsApp. Our drivers were really good. Taxis in goa.

The tourist taxis at the gate are white. The official taxis of Goa are the regular yellow and black taxis, but you will find only tourist taxis (white ones) are waiting at the cruise dock. Aside from tourist taxi’s yellow and black rickshaws are also waiting at the port gate. These taxis do not have a meter. Please be sure to make a price agreement before you step into the taxi. Taxis take US dollar and Indian Rupee. Try to negotiate a taxi for no more than 80 US dollars a day. We recommend to arrange for the taxi to stay with you all day long instead of finding a car on location to go back to port. Prices underneath are what a taxi should cost. Keep in mind it all depends on the supply and demand of taxis, therefore prices could vary. 2 – 10 us dollars by rickshaw to Vasco da Gama (closest town) 20 us dollar to the beach 50 us dollars one way to Old Goa 60 – 80 us dollars full day

From the port it is possible to take public transportation although we do not advise you to do so because it will not get you to any of the tourist sights and it might not be meeting your comfort level. Find the local bus stop on the square in front of the port exit. Pay the driver 3 Indian Rupee for a ticket.

On the island of Chorao you will find the bird-watchers paradise Dr Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary. It is about 1,8 sq km. It is not just local and migrating bird that you will find here. You can also spot flying foxes and crocodiles. To get there take a taxi from the dock to the Ribandar ferry wharf and take the ferry across the Mandovi river to the island of Chorao. The bird sanctuary is within walkin distance from the ferry wharf. Find this bird sanctuary about 32 km north of the port.

This is the nearest local town to the cruise dock. Find it just over the hill. Because it is hot and quite a walking distance we don’t recommend to walk it, rather take a tuk tuk. There are absolutely no tourist site in this town, just local life.

Old Goa used to be the capital of the Portuguese colony. Over time the Portuguese build the largest Christian churches in South Asia here in Goa. Eventually due to mayor outbreaks of cholera the capital was moved in 1843. The churches are nowadays in bad shape but they still reveal the former glory of the Portuguese empire. That makes this town a must see for anyone that has an interest for religious architecture and Catholic history. Find Old Goa about 30 km north east of the port.

This is the closest beach to the cruise terminal and it is nice! There is fancy hotel and some local shops that provide you with anything you need. Seating facilities however are limited, so make sure to bring a towel! The snorkelling here is great, although you will need to bring your own snorkel. The beach is about 15 km from port. Pay no more than 20 us dollars one way by taxi.

Looking for a beach day with the best facilities? Than consider to visit the Taj Exotica at Benaujim beach. The resort is open to the public. You pay a small fee for a day pass. Make a deal with a taxi driver for a round trip fare. Find Benaulim beach about 37 km south of the port.

If you want to get into local life visit the local village of Margao. It is Goa’s second largest city. Visit its market to get a sense of what the local cuisine and local products are all about. Find Margao about 28 km south of the port.

After Old Goa was the capital Panaji would take over this title. This lovely town is known for it’s whitewashed catholic churches, palm lined plaza’s and Portuguese architecture all displaying the wealth of the Goan Merchants. Find Panaji 34 km to the north of the port.

Close to Panji you will find one of the many fortifications dominating the Goan coastline. Fort Aguda was build in the early 1600’s to protect the entry of the rivier that would lead to Old Goa. Portuguese ships would make the long journey over from Lisbon to Goa and this would be the first place where they would receive their fresh water and welcome. Find Fort Aguda 45 km north for the port.

Although the area of Goa might be all about the Portuguese history, let’s not forget that the mayor religion of the area today is Hindu. About 65% of the population is Hindu. Visit the Sri Mangueshi temple which is one of the largest and most popular hindu temples in the area. The temple is 400 years old and devoted to the reincarnated version of Shiva: Manguesh. Remember: When visiting the temple shoulder and midriffs must be covered and shoes must be removed. Find this temple 36 km east of the port.
