Ready for a delightful experience in Kelowna? We offer the perfect wine tour experience and book all tasting and lunch appointments. This is how wine tours work: our guide will pick you up from your accommodation in an immaculate vehicle and take you to the best wineries around the Okanagan Valley. During your tour, you'll enjoy beautiful tastings of various BC wines, explore each winery, snap some fantastic pictures, shop - and even more! Our friendly guide is also on hand to help take photos, carry bottles, recommend restaurants and entertainment spots - and anything else you might need before returning safely to your vacation home.

Wine tours offer an excellent way to taste wines while touring beautiful Okanagan vineyards. Our tours typically depart at 11 AM and last 5-6 hours. Express Wine Tours are 3 hours and leave at 11 AM (10:30 AM during summer) and 3 PM. Departure times are listed on each tour page.

A wine tour is perfect for a fantastic experience with excellent value and fun. Wine tours are ideal for bachelorette parties . We are Wicked, after all! Upgrade your wine tour to our Bachelorette Bliss package ! From upgraded tastings to private transportation, we have everything you need to make your Kelowna bachelorette one that your group will never forget.

Pick-up at Sparkling Hill Resort Vernon is available for an additional $150. Pick-up at Sparkling Hill Resort is not available for Express Wine Tours.

Winery and facility tasting fees are included in tour rates. The number and variety of wines offered at wineries are subject to change and are at their discretion. Most wineries provide 4-5 samples at each stop.

Wine tours exclude the cost of lunch. Wicked Wine Tours handles the restaurant reservations, and guests pay the restaurant directly. Dining requests are welcome but not guaranteed. Wicked Wine Tours is not responsible for communicating food allergies or dietary restrictions, and guests should inform the restaurant upon arrival. Most Okanagan restaurants offer vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.

A 20% deposit is required at the time of booking. Your Tour Guide will collect the balance of the payment after the tour. We accept cash and credit cards, including American Express, MasterCard, and Visa. Gratuities are NOT included - suggested gratuity: 15-25%. For groups of eight or more, private tours, and prepaid invoices, an 18% gratuity will be added. Split payments are available for small groups. For large groups, please organize payment in advance and present your Tour Guide with one payment method.

Plans sometimes change. We get it; it happens to us too. So we're happy to provide a hassle-free, 100% refund if you give us 48 hours' notice (24 hours' for shuttles). Within 48 hours, we've already started preparing for your tour, and we can't easily fill your slot, so we can't provide you with a refund in that case, and there is a 100% charge for the entire invoice. Very rarely, we're the ones that have to cancel. We'll try really, really hard not to, but if we do, we'll ask if you prefer to reschedule or have us refund you. Should government restrictions prevent tours from operating, reservations can be rescheduled or are 100% refundable. Private tours require seven days' notice for a 100% refund.

Wicked Wine Tours is proud to maintain a modern and immaculately maintained fleet. Our fleet includes late-model Ford Transit vans and Lincoln Navigator SUVs. With us, no bus!

Tours are available to book online all year for groups of any number. We can accommodate custom tours for group sizes up to 50: please get in touch with us for more assistance and a personalized quote. 

We are pleased to offer complimentary pick-up and drop-off at most Kelowna locations, including hotels, Airbnb, B&Bs, and residences. We aim to provide guests a safe and convenient service while ensuring adequate time is spent tasting and not riding in a vehicle!

We understand that our region offers various accommodation options outside our pick-up zone. Guests staying outside these areas may be eligible for pick-up for an additional $10-20 per person, depending on group size and requested location. These locations include:

Wine tours are fun for non-drinkers, too! We have special tour rates for adult guests who choose not to participate in wine tasting, and riders receive tasty, locally-made Motherlove Kombucha.

The consumption of alcohol in motor vehicles in British Columbia is against the law. We encourage you to have fun, but please be aware of local laws; safety is paramount.

We take great pride in maintaining an impeccable fleet. Outside food or beverages are not permitted. Complimentary bottled water is provided.

Tours are designed for guests of legal consumption age, and many appreciate the opportunity for an adult environment. Children under 19 are not permitted on public tours but may be allowed on private tours. Rotary Centre for the Arts offers summer art camps.

We love animals, too! For allergy and cleanliness reasons, pets are prohibited, no matter how well-trained or adorable.

Tours operate rain or shine. Wine tastings are usually inside tasting rooms, cellars, or under covered patios, and we offer complimentary umbrellas. Rainy days are an excellent time for wine tours: you're not missing a day on the beach or the golf course! Please dress accordingly.

Tour schedules are based on winery and restaurant availability and cannot be adjusted for public wine tours. However, private wine tours are available for custom itineraries and requests.

Reservations are available for single guests on most tours. Public tours require a minimum of two guests to operate. If the tour capacity is unmet, we will contact you to schedule an available tour or refund your deposit. Pick-up requests are not guaranteed for single guests. You may be asked to meet at a central location for pick-up/drop-off. If pick-up at your requested location is unavailable, we will contact you 24 hours before your tour to schedule an alternate location.

Wine tasting in Kelowna

On any given day, you can visit wineries in Kelowna. You’ll be provided with exceptional views, beautiful architecture, incredible wines and unique tasting experiences. You can choose to hire a wine tour company, or explore our wineries on your own self-guided tour (with a designated driver, of course). 

Since social distancing restrictions have come into effect, it’s recommended to call ahead or book your tasting in advance. This ensures that you won’t have to wait when you arrive, and that a wine expert is available to facilitate your tasting experience.

*Reminder: when visiting wineries in Kelowna, in accordance with BC provincial guidelines, proof of vaccination is required and masks must be worn in all indoor areas.

Wine trails in Kelowna

If you decide you’d like to go the self-guided route, it’s best to choose a single area to focus on so you can make the most of your time. There are five wine trails in Kelowna for you to consider. Each is spectacular and distinct from one another.

• Lakeshore Wine Route : This is the closest wine trail to The Shore. Many of the wineries on Lakeshore’s wine route boast stunning views of Okanagan Lake. Be sure to stop at Tantalus Vineyards , Summerhill Pyramid Winery and Cedar Creek Estate Winery . For a quintessential Okanagan winery experience, consider making reservations at Cedar Creek’s Home Block Restaurant . Their menu features chef-made creations using locally-sourced ingredients and paired with exceptional wines. It’s sure to be a memorable experience.
• Westside Wine Trail : Offering impressive lake views and some of the most well-established wineries in the Okanagan Valley, the Westside Wine Trail Recommended stops include the iconic Mission Hill Family Estate Winery , Black Swift Vineyards , and Quails Gate Estate Winery For a unique renaissance castle winery experience, Crown & Thieves is a must-see.
• Lake Country’s Scenic Sip : Living up to its name, Lake Country’s Scenic Sip is full of panoramic landscapes with Okanagan lake persisting below. We think you’ll enjoy O’Rourke Peak Cellars , Gray Monk Estate Winery and 50th Parallel Estate . Block One Restaurant at 50th Parallel is highly recommended for delightful, fresh, Chef-curated cuisine.
• Kelowna’s Southeast Bench : Rural countryside, orchards, winding roads and fantastic family-owned wineries give Kelowna’s Southeast Bench a relaxed feel. Notable stops on this route include SpearHead Winery , Kitsch Wines and Priest Creek Family Estate Winery . For a unique experience, checkout The Vibrant Vine . Known for their eclectic art, music and fun story about winning ‘Best White Wine in the World’ at the World Beverage Competition in Geneva, Switzerland.
• Downtown Grapes to Grains : With only one winery on the trail, this route is more for cider and beer lovers. Explore Kelowna’s downtown core enjoying tastings at BNA Brewing , BC Tree Fruits Cider and more. Be sure to stop by Sandhill Wines to try their award-winning varietals. 

Kelowna’s best wine tours

Most wine tour companies include snacks, bottled water and a winery lunch on full-day tours. However, lunch is not included in the price of your tour.

Kelowna is the second most northern Okanagan wine region. The name translated from the Okanagan native language means “Grizzly Bear”. An eclectic 32 wineries reside within the 3rd biggest metropolitan area in BC. It is no wonder this city is growing at alarming speed. It has a vibrant city and culinary scene, but at the same time you are only ever moments away from a winery and rural serenity.

It all started here when the first vines were planted in 1859 by Father Pandosy. BC’s oldest winery ‘Calona Vineyard’ was established here in 1932 and can still be visited in downtown Kelowna. It's now owned by the Andrew Peller Group and occupies the same building as Sandhill Wines.

Of course we do!  Vivid Tours specializes in offering curated Bachelorette wine tour experiences with both full day and half day options.  Our Bachelorette tours take our regular wine tours to a whole new level.  Expect everything we offer on our typical tours, but with several bottles of bubbly, a private vineyard toast for the Bride and crew and a bluetooth karaoke mic to rock out in the van!

Our Kelowna Bachelorette tours are also paired with high energy guides that keep the vibe going all day!  For more information on these tours, check out our Kelowna Bachelorette Tour and our Kelowna Bachelorette tour half day.

Our full day wine tours run from 10:30 AM – 4:30 PM (6 hours).  Half day wine tours run from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM and 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM (4 hours).  Our sunset wine tours run from 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM (5 hours)

Please note, guests with pick up locations outside of our normal pickup range or for those guests departing out of Kelowna on our southern tours including the Naramata Bench, Oliver and Osoyoos will have customized itineraries.  Please expect pick up to be earlier than indicated above.  Our reservations team will reach out to confirm your customized pick up time.

Great question!  If you’re ready for a fun, relaxing and informative day on our Kelowna wine tour and Okanagan wine country, we’ve got you covered.  Your wine tour guide will pick you up directly from your accommodation in a new, air-conditioned touring vehicle and tour your through some of the most gorgeous wineries in the Okanagan Valley.

Our full day wine tours include tastings / visits to 5 wineries with an un-rushed lunch reservation at a winery bistro midway through the day.  For guests with limited time, we also offer half day tours that depart in the morning and afternoon and offer tastings / visits to 4 wineries.

All winery tastings are curated by our reservations team with dedicated appointments and VIP access.  Our guests will never wait in line!

Your tour includes full concierge service from your guide including taking as many photos as you’d like, carrying all wine purchases, organizing wine purchases, securing reservations at local restaurants or entertainment venues and even shipping out your wine purchases if you’d rather not take them home with you.  Our guides are also well versed in local Kelowna and Okanagan knowledge, pointing out areas of interest and making recommendations that can help make your stay more enjoyable.

Yes!  Guests staying at Sparkling Hill Resort that are reserving public tours can make the reservation for our Sparkling Hill Wine Tour package.  Private wine tours from the resort may also be available pending availability.   Please connect with our sales team at 250-878-6701 or via email at [email protected] to inquire about transportation opportunities to the resort.

Yes! We love hosting single traveler’s and our Kelowna wine tour reservations team will be happy to help.  Online reservations are not available for single traveler’s, since we require a minimum of two people to make a reservation through our booking platform.   Please call or text us at 250-878-6701 and we can usually find a seat on a tour for you to join!

Please note, most single traveler’s that wish to join our wine tours are located in the downtown Kelowna core area.  If you are located elsewhere, you may be asked to meet us at a more convenient location or at the first winery on the tour.

The Sip & Anchor signature tour caters to wine enthusiasts and sun-seekers who desire a complete experience, providing a day filled with the sought-after Okanagan lifestyle. Prepare for an unforgettable day! Our signature tour combines wine tastings, breathtaking scenery, and a stylish cruise on a pontoon boat across Okanagan Lake. You will explore three wineries, each offering complimentary tastings, savor a 1.5-hour lunch break (at guest expense), and conclude with a 2-hour captained pontoon boat cruise—a quintessential Okanagan experience!

Lunch Options:

• Charcuterie boxes from Give Them Brie which include meat, cheese, dip, preserves, crudites, fruit, nuts and olives. Vegetarian options also available! Prices based on number of people (approx. $25/person).
• Bring your own picnic. Save on costs and bring your own lunch to enjoy on the boat!
• Request a lunch reservation at a restaurant.

*LUNCH: The cost of lunch is not included in the price of our tours, but we have fabulous partnerships for charcuterie boards and catering! If you choose to stop at a restaurant, the location is dependent on availability. Payment for charcuterie and other add-ons will be added directly to your Sip & Anchor invoice. Payment for a restaurant lunch stop will be paid directly to the restaurant. Guests are responsible for communicating any/all food allergies to the restaurant upon arrival.

VEHICLES: Wine tour: 14 Passenger Ford Transit 350 HD or 7 passenger Ford Expedition. Boat charter: Berkshire 23RFX STS 3.0 Pontoon (max 11 guests), or Tigé Wake Boat (max 12 guests, $50/hour extra). For larger groups, please contact us.

PRIVATE TOURS: We offer private tours with a minimum of 8 seat purchases, otherwise this is an open mixed-group tour.

Policies & Cancelations:

RESERVATIONS:

For Signature Tour bookings, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is owed the day of the tour or can be paid in advance. Deposits require a valid credit card. Remaining balance can be paid using cash, debit or credit. All prices exclude applicable taxes & gratuity. For a Private Signature Tour booking we require 8 or more people.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Deposits are fully refundable for cancellations or changes made 14 days or more prior to the reservation. Sip & Anchor reserves the right to retain deposits for cancellations or reductions of the number of guests made less than 14 days prior to the reservation date, or in the case of no-shows.

All passengers are required to read & sign a waiver release agreement form prior to boarding the boat. This can be provided via email or at the time of your arrival.

WEATHER NOTE: 

We will wine tour rain or shine!  In the case of poor weather forecast, we do our best to provide 24 hours weather-watch notice for the boat portion of the trip. If we do not end up boating, we can reschedule a 2 hour charter (based on availability) or provide a refund of $50 per person, or, if there is availability we can extend the wine tour. Contact us for more info.

BAD WEATHER POLICY:

The Captain reserves the right to cancel the boat tour portion due to bad weather conditions. Guests will have the opportunity to add 2 additional wineries, or a cidery and brewery to their tour.

CONDITIONS:

Sip & Anchor reserves the right to change tour vehicles, guides, departure times, &/or winery & restaurant itineraries. Your reservation assumes release of the operator from liability or any assumption of claims, risks & indemnity.

To minimize cash transactions, consider incorporating the gratuity for the guide at the time of booking. This eliminates the necessity to tip your guide following the tour since everything is prearranged! Nonetheless, if you feel that your guide went above and beyond, providing outstanding service, a cash tip is always appreciated.

Our tour Guide, Vicky, was outstanding. She was extremely knowledgeable about every winery we visited which added to the overall wine tasting experience! Vicky was also one step ahead of us with snacks at the ready and a sense of humour that at times had the three of us in stitches. We were pampered from the time we were picked up until we were back at home. I would definitely recommend this tour company to family, friends and anyone visiting Kelowna and the surrounding area. We began at Crown and Thieves (my favourite), followed by Frind and ending up at Mt. Boucherie for dinner. Each winery included a tasting of at least five wines. Our tour guide Andrea made this a great day with her high energy and knowledge of wine, the wineries themselves, and the history of the area. I thought the tour was very well-paced; we never felt rushed or like it was dragging, and always had time to browse and shop at each location. Andrea kept everyone's wine safe and organized throughout the tour. Dinner at Mt. Boucherie was good, and a great way to end the day. When I was choosing our wine tour for the Kelowna area, I specifically booked one that advertised wineries a further distance from where we were staying. Our accommodations were within walking distance of many wineries so we planned accordingly and visited a few wineries around the area before going on our wine tour. When we were picked up for our wine tour the next day, we were disappointed to find out that the itinerary was completely changed and included 2 wineries that we had already visited. In fact all the wineries were within the area we were staying which was not as advertised. We understand itineraries change but Vivid advertised 5 specific wineries that we were to visit in our tour. If you are not able to visit the wineries advertised, please say so in your advertisement so customers can be prepared for potential changes. After the first winery stop, we did reach out to the tour manager, who did change the itinerary for our group which was greatly appreciated. We have nothing but great things to say about our tour guide, Vicki. She was fantastic, knowledgeable, fun, friendly and super approachable. When we returned to our accommodation after the tour, we found out, through our hosts, that this was not the first time vivid tours had changed up the itinerary on customers. Many of their guests have used Vivid tours in the past and were promised a certain itinerary, only to have it changed last minute. Further more, vivid tours contacted me again after our tour. At that point we had moved on, but they ended up calling and harassing us, giving us excuses instead of a resolution. My recommendation? Do not book with Vivid tours and look for other reputable wine touring companies in the area. From the warm friendly greeting when we boarded to giving us suggestions for dinner. He is very knowledgeable about the area and winery’s. He had the best playlist! He even sent it to me. The customer service was truly terrible and up there with the worst we have ever experienced. After booking a Lake Country Tour in June we were contacted at the last minute by Shanti (only two days before the Lake Country Tour was due to go ahead) and informed that we would be moved onto the East Kelowna wine tour. This was not presented as an option and we were given no explanation as to why this was happening. When we got back in touch later the same day to ask why we had been moved and if it was possible to do the Lake Country Tour, no explanation was given and no attempt was made to accomodate us. The response we managed to elicit was immediately hostile and was that we had consented to the switch in tour (it wasn’t presented as an option) that the tours are finalised a week in advance and we would therefore be charged in full if we did not attend the East Kelowna wine tour. We responded to point out that the change they were seeking to make was only two days out for the date we had paid for, and that we had not been given an option. I tried to call to get clarification and received no reply. We sent another message to ask whether it was possible to accommodate us but again, we were completely blanked. Due to Vivid Tours’ shocking service we were left with no option but to secure a last minute tour with an alternative company (it was brilliant) and not knowing whether we would be unjustifiably charged for a tour we did not book and were forced onto, which was stressful and unnecessarily put a dampener on our limited time in Kelowna. I’m sure the East Kelowna wine tour is lovely and we may have been happy to go ahead with it if we just had received an explanation for the switch and some detail about the tour but the customer service and lack of communication was so appalling we felt we couldn’t go ahead with the tour. We’re not trying to be unreasonable or difficult but just wanted to give a fair warning to others looking to book with Vivid, particularly if you are set on booking a specific tour. Our guide, Bella, was great She kept us on schedule and was always there if we needed anything. It was quite educational and the wines were very good. This part of the Okanagan (Lake Country) and north focuses on white wines, so if your preference is red, you need to be farther south. The only reds we tasted were Merlot. These were quite good. All three wineries were in absolutely beautiful locations. Dinner can be a little expensive, but you need to do this. When you consider that you have a ride and don't need a taxi home, you can let yourself go and enjoy. Chaos Bistro was where we went. I can't think of a better location and I can't recall ever having a better meal. The wine was wonderful, as was our server, a really fun lady.
