Nile Rodgers & CHIC Tour Dates 2024
A message from LiveNation:
Dear Valued Here We Go Again Tour Ticket Holder,
At this time, we've decided that in the interest of the health and safety of the artist, band, crew, fans and everyone it takes to put the Here We Go Again Tour together, the best thing to do is to postpone the tour until it is absolutely safe to gather again. We will follow the experts in this field and work closely with them before we announce any new dates – and will make sure it's as soon as possible!
Beginning today, you will have 30 days to request a refund. If you prefer to hold on to your ticket for the new show once it's announced, please do so and know that it will be fully valid for the new date!
Cher's message to her fans: "It breaks my heart to have to postpone our shows. I will be back on stage as soon as we know it is completely safe for everybody to come together and have fun again"
Thank you and stay well!

10 Day Egypt Experience Tour (Domestic flight)
The trip was well-organized, and the communication was good. Our tour guides were fantastic and took good care of us. The cruise ship was a bit old, and the food was okay, but the service was excellent.
Nile Jewel - 5* Cruise
We had a private tour from the the 28th of January for 9 days. Our Gude was Marian who gave us a balance tour between.free time and commentary. The whole trip was faultless, even with our extra requests to see sights. I recommend more a better company to travel in Egypt with. Thankyou for everything.

4 Days 3 nights 5 stars Nile Cruise Aswan to Luxor
I really loved everything about this trip from guide to the cruise ship. I highly recommend Hassan as a guide from Aswan to Luxor. His passion for his job made the journey memorable, and I'm grateful for his excellent guidance throughout the trip. You can't miss Abu Simbel tours, which starts really early in the morning and is worth every penny. Everyone at the cruise was really good, and I really loved the ship and the buffet.
9 Days Nile Jewel (Cairo, Cruise, Hurghada) Superior hotels
Our tour guide, Mansor, was not only knowledgeable but also brought a fun and enjoyable vibe to the journey. Thanks you
Pharaohs Nile Cruise Adventure - Return Intra-Flights Included
The tour covers a lot of ground which is good to see as much as possible but makes the schedule intense. With the add on for Abu Simbel, we had two 4:00 a.m. departures during the week. If you do the hot air balloon, add ine more. The cruise is very nice and provides a relaxing environment after the crowds at the sites. Crew were excellent. Tour guides were awesome. Passionate and knowledgeable about the history, payient when answering questions and ready to help outside of the tours. Easy walking but many steps.
Nile Adventure - Felucca cruise
Fun and safe way to enjoy Egypt. Very fast pace, very early mornings, and the Felluca day was a bit challenging but fun. Mina was very accommodating, helpful, and took great care of the Tour group. I highly recomend this Tour, but be ready for the adventure and fast pace routine. Make sure you listen to your guide as they have very valuable advice.

Felucca Odyssey (5 & 4 Star Hotels)
I liked Mo a lot, and his talks at the sites and on the bus were both interesting and balanced in content and in length. I know that a lot of tourists don't really care for any in-depth discussion of what they are seeing, but Mo was able to answer many of my harder questions with good educated answers. Likewise, he was very efficient in his use of time on the bus and at the sites. I felt that the trip was well constructed and managed, and I rarely had to clarify about our arrangements. He did a good job of telling us ahead of time what to expect. Perhaps one of the most crucial arrangements that Mo managed was the seamless embarkation/disembarkation of the sleeper trains in Cairo, Aswan and Luxor. There is a LOT going on with that, and I was impressed how he managed to keep all 30+ of us on-target in a busy and chaotic environment. No bags or people were lost! Another case that sticks out is his handling of the myriad of different tour packages, transfers, and hotel arrangements that occurred. I understand that this is all “part of the job”, but I nevertheless think it is a very important part of what makes a good tour guide. Mo handled this very nicely. Yes, I would travel with Mo again, and that's the substance of a good review I think! Thaddeus

Egypt Nile Jewel
Excellent organisation including the Egyptian team Thanks everyone
Egypt Adventure
My trip to Egypt was, by far, the most impactful trip I've ever taken. I learned so much--not only about the country's amazing history, but also about the amazing people--and left a piece of my heart behind. This was my first group trip, and I could not have imagined 11 more wonderful people to spend my days and nights with. However, the trip exceeded my expectations due to our incredible tour guide, Mohamed Ebrahim. Mo was THE ABSOLUTE BEST. He was organized, informative, patient, creative, and I know I speak for our entire group when I say that I can't even imagine taking this trip with another guide.
Holiday In Egypt 4 Days – 3 Nights Nile Cruise From Cairo by Flight
This was without a doubt an absolutely perfect experience. The guide Anas could not have been more gracious, informative and knowledgeable. All of the stops were stunning and the pleasant shoreline views along the way made the whole experience exciting and charming. The meals were fantastic and everyone aboard was there to help. The day tours were exactly as described and some surprisingly fun activities on the boat only enhanced the experience. I highly recommend taking this cruise package.
Best of Egypt
Excellent trip, very well organized, and amazing itinerary. Got a few early mornings but totally WORTH it. Our CEO Mayer is brilliant, fun, knowledgeable, and really accommodated everyone's needs. Our group has an amazing vibe and everyone became good friends in the end. It was less like a trip with strangers but more like a trip with friends. The trip was one of my highlights in 2021!
Egypt Nile Adventure
The route was well planned and if we had tried to plan it ourselves without a tour guide, we wouldn't have been able to do half of it. The tour guide, George Tamer, was very helpful and friendly throughout the whole tour, giving loads of information regarding the highlights of the Egyptian sites and history. We were lucky that we got into a small group of 5 people and therefore we were able to move around using a smaller bus.
Splendours of Egypt (Classic, Summer, 12 Days)
Thank you, Insight Vacations, for making our dream come true! We have had a fantastic experience in Egypt since 26.2.2018 to 09.03.2018 and really appreciate true dedication and top level of professionalism demonstrated by our Tour Director Mohammed Abd Allah, our guide Ramaddan and coordinator Rafaat. Those people were always there to deal efficiently with any request or wish we had and answer any question. We can highly recommend them as well as the company in general as the best facilitators of international travel ever. They provided us with a safe and reliable way to get introduced to the wonders of Egypt as well as it's friendly and hospitable people.

Here’s what it’s like to take a Nile cruise in 2022
Oct 16, 2022 • 7 min read
Plan your trip of a lifetime in Egypt with this guide to cruising on the Nile © Lauren Keith / Lonely Planet
Egypt is nothing short of a miracle. Though the forbidding Sahara encroaches from every direction, the Nile River splashes a verdant green ribbon through the country, sometimes managing to push the desert sands only a few hundred feet back from the riverbank.
One of the world’s longest and most legendary rivers, the Nile travels more than 6500km (4100 miles) through five countries, but it’s most closely connected with Egypt. And indeed, so much of Egyptian history has unfolded along the Nile that nearly all of the country’s major cities and ancient tombs and temples are located along this lush life-giving artery.
The ancient Egyptians used the river as a highway, dispatching trade and military expeditions and toting statues of their gods between temples. The 5th century BCE Greek historian Herodotus famously called Egypt the “gift of the Nile,” and even now, millennia later, cruising the Nile is still the best way for travelers to see Egypt’s gifts for themselves.
Ready to embark on the trip of a lifetime? Here’s what you need to know about picking the best Nile river cruises.
Why are so many travelers talking about Egypt in 2022?
Nowhere else in the world is the past so intertwined with the present than in Egypt, and 2022 promises to be a blockbuster time to experience them both.
Lonely Planet named Egypt one of the top 10 countries to visit this year , and the long-anticipated Grand Egyptian Museum is expected to open in November to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamun , the famous golden pharaoh and “boy king.”
September marked 200 years since the Rosetta Stone was translated, which revealed the meanings of the hieroglyphs and recaptured knowledge that had been lost for centuries. New archaeological discoveries continue apace in Luxor, Saqqara and elsewhere that keep rewriting history.
Tourism hit a record high in Egypt in 2019 and was expected to grow even more in 2020, but we all know what happened then. Like many places, tourism in Egypt has now entered recovery mode, making the coming months a great – and still relatively quiet – time to visit.
Some Nile cruise companies continued construction projects that have seen new boats launched on the river, including the August 2022 debut of the Viking Osiris , a brand new 82-passenger vessel built specifically to navigate the Nile.
Why you should take a Nile cruise when you visit Egypt
While cruises might get a bad rap elsewhere in the world, traveling by boat on the Nile is a time-honored tradition that stretches back to the pharaonic era.
Along the riverbanks, life carries on in the way that it has since time immemorial: mudbrick houses poke out from behind the foliage, children wave excitedly at passing ships, a lone man paddles a blue-painted canoe piled high with alfalfa for his hungry livestock, palm trees heavy with golden dates sag as they await the harvest.
In a fast-paced world, opportunities to simply sit back and watch life glide by are few and far between. Sitting outside on the Osiris ’s balcony traveling at the speed of the river, I felt like I was watching a slow travel TV show – at once both an outside spectator and also completely immersed in it.
In ancient times, mastering the river helped rulers unite the country, and most temples are built within easy reach of the water. Sure, Egypt’s modern-day road and rail network can transport you to these temples overland, but if you skip a cruise on the Nile, the magic of the journey will certainly be missing.
How to choose a Nile cruise itinerary
The vast majority of Nile cruises operate in both directions between Luxor and Aswan in southern Egypt, making stops in Edfu, Kom Ombo and sometimes other small towns.
Which Nile cruise you pick depends on the usual two travel constraints: your budget and your time. Certain boats sail only on certain days, and Nile cruises can be as short as three days, but more commonly last five days.
Most luxury cruises on the Nile, including Viking’s Nile cruises, require signing up for a full Egypt-wide itinerary that starts and ends in Cairo , an excellent option for first-time visitors.
With little signage at historic sites and prices always open to negotiation, Egypt is a tricky place for independent travel. Unless you want to spend your precious vacation time bargaining with taxi drivers and tour guides everywhere you go, it’s best to join a tour for your first visit and leave the logistics to someone else.
What I liked in particular about Viking’s Pharaohs & Pyramids itinerary is that it includes two unusual stops that aren’t standard ports of call for most Nile cruises.
The ship travels north of Luxor to Qena for passengers to disembark and visit the gorgeous Temple of Hathor at Dendera , where the ceilings have recently been cleaned, exposing beautifully painted zodiac symbols and the warped body of the sky goddess Nut, who swallows the sun every night and gives birth to it the next morning.
The boat also stops in Esna for the Temple of Khnum , a small but wonderfully preserved structure. Look up to spot the column-topping capitals, each of which has a colorfully decorated, unique bouquet of palm fronds, bunches of grapes, lotus flowers and papyrus shoots.
In Luxor, you’ll get private access to the show-stopping tomb of Nefertari – arguably the most beautiful burial site in the entire country (and certainly the most expensive at LE1400, about US$72) where nearly every square inch is painted in stunningly vibrant bas-reliefs – as well as the chance to see the stark dichotomy of Egypt’s landscapes from the sky in the basket of a gently drifting hot air balloon.
Tours of the temples and tombs are led by local expert Egyptologists who explain and translate the meanings of the hieroglyphs before your very eyes.
A few companies offer Nile cruises from Cairo, but these sailings are rare, usually operating just once a month – if at all – and take significantly longer because of the distance involved. But you’ll get the chance to check out off-the-beaten-track tombs and temples between Cairo and Luxor that see few visitors.
What is it like on board the Viking Osiris ?
Decked out in a sleek Scandi color scheme of blond wood and blue textiles that are drenched in natural light thanks to huge floor-to-ceiling windows across much of the ship, the Viking Osiris is an oasis of calm that’s a treat to return to after a long and dusty day of exploring.
The cruise ship has 41 cabins across three decks, plus two upper levels with an indoor/outdoor dining space with windows that fold away for al fresco evenings, a cozy bar and lounge with a resident piano player in the evenings, an infinity-style pool at the back of the boat and a sun deck for days of lazy lounging.
Travelers can check out books from the on-board library’s exquisite collection to read up on Egyptian history on their voyage.
The guest rooms are surprisingly spacious, with comfy hotel-like beds, plenty of wardrobe and storage space, and good-sized bathrooms. Many staterooms come with balconies.
The ship is partially powered by solar panels, and you can see how much electricity is being generated by the sun as well as the carbon dioxide savings on a screen inside.
What travelers should know before visiting Egypt
Almost all nationalities need a visa to visit Egypt , which you can get on arrival at the airport or apply for online in advance if you’d rather skip the line. The cost of a single-entry Egyptian tourist visa is USD$25, payable in cash at the airport or by card online.
Egypt is a traditional, Muslim-majority country, so both men and women should dress modestly when visiting. For tips on what to pack, local etiquette and more, check these 14 things to help you plan your visit to Egypt .

After, move on to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization. This contemporary 5,300,000 square foot space sits in the historic neighborhood of Fustat. The museum first opened in 2017 and is home to a collection of 50,000 artifacts, tracing the Egyptian civilization from prehistoric times to today. On April 3, 2021 the world watched in awe as the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities relocated here the Royal Mummies during the stunning Pharaohs’ Golden Parade. The 22 mummies (18 kings and 4 queens) of Egypt’s most important pharaohs and queens were displayed on the streets of Cairo as they were transported from the Museum in Tahrir Square to their new home in the Museum of Egyptian Civilization. This large collection of royal mummies includes the likes of King Ramses II, the most famous pharaoh of the New Kingdom, and Queen Hatshepsut, who came to rule at a time when women did not become pharaohs. With the expert guidance of a local Egyptologist, enjoy a visit of this impressive museum – a perfect introduction to your exploration of Egypt. This optional tour is operated by a local representative and requires guests to have a pre-night hotel stay in Cairo. The optional is available from January 1, 2024 onwards.
Visit the great sun temples of Abu Simbel, built by Ramses II at the height of his New Kingdom reign. In one of the world's greatest cooperative preservation efforts, these temples were dismantled and moved in 1968 to save them from the flooding of the Aswan Dam. The Temple of Ramses II was constructed so that the sun's rays would illuminate four statues of Egyptian deities within the sanctuary on his birthday and on the anniversary of his coronation, October 20 and February 20. The temple is fronted by four colossal figures of Ramses II seated with the gods and attended by his Queen and daughters. The smaller temple is dedicated to Queen Nefertari, who appears as Hathor, the goddess of love, joy and fertility.

Cowboy Carter is the hotly anticipated follow-up to to Beyoncé's 2022 album, Renaissance .
How long have fans been speculating over the details of Beyoncé 's new album? It depends when you start counting: Some began buzzing over it the second her previous record, the dance-centric Renaissance , was released in 2022 and touted as "act one" of a trilogy. But the chatter has been especially fervent in the past two months, as singles, visuals and other teases popped up during the Grammys, Super Bowl and on the artist's own social media. The Beyhive's busiest bees analyzed clues that pointed toward a country music-inspired sound; they dissected the history of that genre, and how Black musicians have often been written out of it.
After months of anticipation, Cowboy Carter has finally arrived. Is it a country album? In many ways, yes — but it's also a sprawling work filled with disparate influences and references, while remaining a Beyoncé album at its heart. Two NPR Music staffers, reporter Sidney Madden and editor Sheldon Pearce, have been listening since the stroke of midnight. They come to you now with the 10 most important things to know about exactly what Cowboy Carter is, and is not.
Beyoncé's new album is inspired by backlash to her entering the country music genre
1. It's a sprawling Western epic ...
Just as Beyonce's 2022 album, act i: RENAISSANCE , served as a world-building homage to the unsung Black queer youth who created house music, Cowboy Carter continues the lesson plan. In a statement soon after the album's worldwide release, the artist's Parkwood Entertainment shared that each song on the 27-track project is its own version of a reimagined Western film: "She took inspiration from films like Five Fingers For Marseilles , Urban Cowboy , The Hateful Eight , Space Cowboys , The Harder They Fall and Killers of the Flower Moon , often having the films playing on a screen during the recording process."
Each track, whether an interlude, collaboration or poignant solo, rides out like a full-length film full of scenic grandeur, character and conflicts that any Chitlin' Circuit aficionado or spaghetti Western cinephile or can obsess over. As a whole, Cowboy Carter serves as a well of discovery, full of samples, sonic Easter eggs, Knowles family callbacks and, most importantly, an appreciation for pioneers in the country world.
2. ... with a searing image of its titular central character.
In the cowboy, Beyoncé finds her ideal figure of the American West and South. She cites the rodeo as the first place where anyone who loved country music and culture could gather and mingle and feel welcome. It's an image that runs counter to the experience that inspired the album: performing her song "Daddy Lessons" at the CMA Awards in 2016, where she has said she "did not feel welcomed ... and it was very clear that I wasn't." The Cowboy Carter character exists in conversation with the history of Black cowboys, the loaded meaning behind the term and its function in the American imagination.
Music Features
Beyoncé is getting played on country radio. could her success help other black women.
3. It's a country album ...
There are plenty of categorically country sounds on Cowboy Carter . String instruments are its sonic heartbeat, and the do-si-do of the slide guitar on "DESERT EAGLE" and "TEXAS HOLD 'EM" feel perfectly matched with Bey's feathery vocals. The jovial wiggle of the accordions on "RIIVERDANCE" tip a hat to zydeco music and the artist's Creole heritage. "PROTECTOR" (featuring Beyonce's youngest daughter, Rumi) is anchored by acoustic guitar. "SWEET HONEY BUCKIN" interpolates "I Fall to Pieces," the shuffling standard made famous by Patsy Cline. Compared to Bey's past work in an R&B world full of glitz and glamor, many moments on the album, even with their layered arrangements, feel like intimate jam sessions straight out of a Nashville writing camp.
4. ... and it's also not.
Across the tracklist, elements of hip-hop, bluegrass and Chicano rock, with pop, rock, Jersey club music and operatic runs. "YA YA" conjures the charisma of Tina Turner and Chuck Berry, while winking in the direction of Nancy Sinatra the Beach Boys. "BODYGUARD" is a breezy surf-rock romp with Latin percussion and a little whiskey on its breath. "AMEN" rings to the rafters in true gospel splendor. "SWEET HONEY BUCKIN" stacks genre upon genre and yet never overwhelms, instead connecting the dots between them with dusty horse gallops. The production credits stretch far beyond the scope of country stalwarts, making the album a treasure hunt for fans and issuing a challenge to the ways country music has come to be defined.
5. It's got country and Americana icons to set the tone ...
Voices from country lore appear throughout the tracklist, signposts for the album's deconstructions of genre. The outlaw country pioneer Willie Nelson, who once bucked the Nashville sound himself, stands in as the host of KNTRY Radio Texas, Beyoncé's fictional pirate station. Dolly Parton draws a line from Becky with the good hair to Jolene, and turns up again before "TYRANT," encouraging Beyoncé to light up a juke joint. In a prelude to one of the album's most adventurous cuts, "SPAGHETTII," Linda Martell, an undersung, trailblazing Black country star of the '70s, lays out a sort of mission statement: "Genres are a funny little concept, aren't they? Yes, they are. In theory, they have a simple definition that's easy to understand. But in practice, well, some may feel confined."
6. ... and it's flipping some old tropes.
There are covers of country classics here that stand out for how stealthily they're reimagined. Parton's 1973 hit "Jolene" shows up early in the album, but Beyonce adds her own sauce to flip its storied narrative. A vigilant Bey (flip-flopping between being upset and unbothered) clocks the "bird" chirping round her man; unlike Dolly, who responds to a similar threat with a plea for mercy, she puts her rival on notice: " I'm warnin' you, woman, find you your own man / Jolene, I know I'm a queen, Jolene / I'm still a Creole banjee bitch from Louisianne ." This twist renegotiates the common push and pull of rolling-stone / damsel-in-distress infidelity that's historically been a hallmark in country standards, and has only recently started to shift (see also: Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats.")
Jay-Z and Beyoncé's blank space
7. It gives flowers to unsung pioneers.
When Linda Martell shows up in the opening moments of "SPAGHETTII" to pose her question about genres, the slick rhetorical framing cuts to the main conceit of Cowboy Carter and centers Martell herself as a case in point. As a pioneer in the country space, Martell made history with her 1970 album Color Me Country and was the first Black woman to perform on the storied Grand Ole Opry. But because of the racist aggression she endured when moving from pop to country, Martell soon left the business. Now, at 82 years old, Martell's getting her due. Her voice is immortalized on both "SPAGHETTII" and "THE LINDA MARTELL SHOW," both tracks that play hopscotch with a range of genres. "I am proud that Beyoncé is exploring her country music roots," the veteran posted on Instagram . "What she is doing is beautiful, and I'm honored to be a part of it. It's Beyoncé, after all!"
8. It shines a light on the stars of country's new age.
A recent study tracking country music programming from 2000 through 2020 revealed that only 29% of country songs played on format radio were by women artists, and of that 29%, 0.01 % were Black women. And so along with honoring pioneers, Cowboy Carter platforms new stars in the field who are still working their way through its entrenched gatekeeping and redlining.
Rhiannon Giddens strums her banjo on the album's lead single, "TEXAS HOLD 'EM." Virginia's Shaboozey, whose 2022 release Cowboys Live Forever, Outlaws Never Die offered songs for a post-"Old Town Road" country-rap world, cuts through two tracks with his unforgettable tone. "BLACKBIIRD" features the vocals of four Black women — Tanner Addell, Brittney Spencer, Tiera Kennedy and Reyna Roberts. This soulful cover of the Beatles classic about Black women's plights and resilience during the American Civil Rights movement puts its subjects in a spotlight that country radio rarely does, bringing home the reality that opportunities for artists like these have scarcely grown in the years since Martell broke ground.
9. It saddles up over the pop-country middle ground.
On Cowboy Carter , Beyoncé is a pop star actively in conversation with the idea of country music, and traversing the distance between those genres seems to have made her consider the existing relationship between them. In two moments on the album, she enlists singers who have been blurring that binary for quite some time, Miley Cyrus and Post Malone. Miley, of course, is the daughter of "Achy Breaky Heart" sensation Billy Ray Cyrus, and in her own pursuit of a pop identity fiddled with Mike WiLL trap, Flaming Lips psychedelia, glam rock and country pop before settling on the centering sounds of last year's Endless Summer Vacation , which earned her a record of the year Grammy for "Flowers." For his part, Post broke out as a watercolor trap rockstar and has since shifted toward a sound more in line with his Texas roots. Both seem to resonate with the ambiguity Bey sees running through the music.
10. There's more beneath the rhinestone jewel case.
Beyond the many featured guests, other behind-the-scenes contributors help tell the story. The-Dream, Pharrell, No I.D., Raphael Saadiq, Ryan Tedder, Ryan Beatty and Swizz Beatz all helped produce the record. It also boasts an incredibly accomplished cast of supporting players: Pulitzer-winning folk revivalist Giddens, Grammy-winning soul man Jon Batiste, session luminary Nile Rodgers, gospel pedal steelist Robert Randolph, blues rocker Gary Clark, Jr., hip-hop banjoist Willie Jones and the incomparable Stevie Wonder. The incredible variety of names and skills is the secret sauce behind Cowboy Carter 's sprawling vision.

Sorry, Swifties — Taylor Swift is not on Beyoncé 's new album, Cowboy Carter .
Following the release of Queen Bey's eighth studio album on Friday, fans began speculating Swift provided uncredited background vocals on the track "Bodyguard," but PEOPLE can confirm that's not true.
Complete credits for "Bodyguard," which appears on the album as its eighth track, are not yet available on Beyoncé's website at the time of publishing.
Swift, 34, and the "Texas Hold 'Em" musician, 42, have shown each other quite a bit of public support as of late. After both holding massive stadium tours in the United States last summer, the artists attended the premieres for each other's film versions of the respective concerts: Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour and Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé .
"She’s the most precious gem of a person — warm and open and funny," said Swift of Beyoncé in a December interview with Time . "And she’s such a great disrupter of music-industry norms."
"She taught every artist how to flip the table and challenge archaic business practices," added the "Karma" singer at the time.

The 27-track record finds Beyoncé experimenting with elements and themes of country music, though she specified prior to its release , "This ain’t a country album. This is a ‘Beyoncé’ album."

"The joy of creating music is that there are no rules," said the Destiny's Child alum in a statement. "The more I see the world evolving the more I felt a deeper connection to purity."
"With artificial intelligence and digital filters and programming, I wanted to go back to real instruments, and I used very old ones," she continued. "I didn't want some layers of instruments like strings, especially guitars, and organs perfectly in tune. I kept some songs raw and leaned into folk."
Beyoncé added, "All the sounds were so organic and human, everyday things like the wind, snaps and even the sound of birds and chickens, the sounds of nature."

No, Taylor Swift Is Not On Beyonce’s Cowboy Carter
Fans thought Swift sang background vocals on the track “Bodyguard.”
Beyoncé's new album, Cowboy Carter , features an array of acclaimed artists, from country legends Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, and Linda Martell to A-list pop stars Miley Cyrus and Post Malone to country up-and-comers Tanner Adell, Willie Jones, and Shaboozey. (And those are not all of them.)
However, fans thought that Taylor Swift may also be among those collaborators . After the album was released on March 29, many speculated that Swift lent background vocals to “Bodyguard,” claiming that the breezy “ahh”s in the intro sounded just like the singer.
Some fans even claimed she was credited on both Spotify and Genius for background vocals . However, both credits have since been removed.
While the official credits have yet to be posted on Beyoncé’s website, Bustle can confirm that Swift does not sing any vocals on “Bodyguard.”
Other musicians who contributed to Cowboy Carter include Stevie Wonder, Chuck Berry, Jon Batiste, Rhiannon Giddens, Nile Rodgers, Gary Clark, Jr., and Brittney Spencer. They joined famed producers and songwriters like The-Dream, Pharrell, Raphael Saadiq, Ryan Tedder, Swizz Beatz, Cam, and of course, Bey’s husband Jay-Z. But the album’s most personal feature is their daughter Rumi Carter, whose voice can be heard on “Protector.”
While Swift is not involved with Cowboy Carter , the thought of her and Bey collaborating isn’t too far-fetched, given how much the two have supported each other in the past year. In October, Beyoncé attended the Eras Tour film premiere , which Swift celebrated on Instagram. A few weeks later, she returned the favor by flying to London for Bey’s Renaissance film premiere .
Don’t expect to find their collaboration on Swift’s next album either. She is set to release The Tortured Poets Department on April 19, and the tracklist does not include Bey . However, they do share a mutual collaborator in Post Malone, who is featured on both “Levii’s Jeans” from Cowboy Carter and the Tortured Poets opener, “Fortnight.”
