eTravel de Filipinas 2024, obligatorio: Guía Actualizada

El eTravel  de Filipinas (antes conocido como eARRIVAL CARD y   One Health Pass ) es uno de los nuevos Requisitos para viajar a Filipinas impuestos tras la tan ansiada reapertura del país en febrero de 2022. A través de su web oficial, debemos aportar una serie de datos sobre nuestro viaje para recibir así el permiso para poner rumbo a nuestro paraíso favorito.

La web en sus dos primeras versiones era bastante desastrosa hasta que el 2 de diciembre de 2022, como verás, ha recibido un lavado de cara. Además, como hemos comprobado a través de las consultas que nos habéis hecho a través del grupo de Facebook de Viajar por Filipinas , hay algunos pasos que pueden crear confusión. Por ello, te hemos preparado esta detallada guía sobre Cómo conseguir el eTravel de Filipinas de una forma rápida y sencilla, en la que, además, responderemos a todas tus dudas.

En unos minutos ya lo tendrás todo listo y estarás un pelín más cerca de Filipinas, ¡empezamos!

Desde el 2 de diciembre la eARRIVAL Card pasa a llamarse eTravel y es mucho más sencilla de conseguir. Y, personalmente, ya sería hora de dejar de cambiarle el nombre. 😛 Desde el 1 de noviembre de 2022 YA NO ES OBLIGATORIO RELLENARLA PARA FACTURAR , es decir, se puede rellenar a lo largo del trayecto hacia Filipinas o, incluso, al llegar al país.

Cuándo y dónde solicitar tu eTravel  (eARRIVAL Card – One Health Pass)

Antes de empezar con la guía en la que te vamos a mostrar, paso a paso, cómo conseguir tu eTravel, es importante dejar claros dos puntos sobre el proceso. El dónde y el cuándo .

En primer lugar debes saber que, como ocurre con los permisos de entrada a la mayoría de países, existen páginas que simulan ser las oficiales y que te cobran elevadísimas comisiones por hacer por ti (o incluso por no hacerlo) este proceso. Por ello, debes saber que solo existe una web oficial para tramitarlo de forma gratuita, esta: Web oficial del eTravel (eARRIVAL CARD – One Health Pass) . De lo contrario, te arriesgas a que te pase como a esta viajera miembro de nuestro grupo de Facebook:

En segundo lugar, es importante que sepas que oficialmente se puede tramitar el eTravel de Filipinas  dentro de los 5 días previos a la salida de tu vuelo hacia Filipinas . Si intentas hacerlo antes, verás que la web no te permite seleccionar más allá de esa fecha.

Desde el 1 de noviembre de 2022 no es obligatorio que se rellene en ese período de tiempo . Incluso puedes hacerlo a la llegada en la cola de inmigración. Aun así, para ahorrarte tiempo en ella y quebraderos de cabeza, es mejor que completes el formulario con antelación.

Qué se necesita para solicitar tu eTravel

Para evitar que te pongas manos a la obra y a medio proceso veas que te falta algo, reúne los siguientes documentos que te pedirán para solicitar esta autorización:

• Datos de tu vuelo de ida a Filipinas.

Cómo solicitar y completar la eTravel Card para viajar a Filipinas

Vamos a entrar en faena y acompañarte paso a paso en el proceso de solicitud del eTravel para entrar a Filipinas. Verás que es sencillo, pero esta guía te ayudará con cualquier duda que te pudiera surgir.

Para empezar debes  acceder a la web oficial para iniciar el registro. Puedes hacerlo desde aquí:

https://etravel.gov.ph

Aquí, deberás hacer lo siguiente:

• Seleccionar «Foreign Passport Holder».
• Selecciona «Arrival» en Travel Type.
• Marca «Air» en Transportation
• Introducir tu fecha de llegada a Filipinas (remarcamos: Llegada a Filipinas, no salida de tu país hacia Filipinas). Verás que solo permite elegir los 5 días siguientes al que uses la web.
• Tu correo electrónico.
• Tu correo electrónico de nuevo.

Haz clic en la casilla de aceptación de «Términos y condiciones» y luego en «Continue».

1) Ahora toca empezar con los siguientes datos personales:

• Segundo nombre (es opcional).
• Sufijo (es opcional).
• Número de pasaporte.
• Fecha de nacimiento.
• Nacionalidad.
• País de nacimiento.
• Número de teléfono (haz clic a la izquierda y busca el prefijo de tu país. España es +34).

Clic en «Next».

2) El segundo paso es muy sencillo. Solo hay tres campos y corresponden a tu lugar de residencia:

• País de residencia.
• Dirección de residencia.
• Otros datos sobre tu dirección de residencia.

3) El tercer paso del eTravel es sobre tu vuelo a Filipinas:

• Fecha de llegada: Introduce la fecha de llegada al país. Como verás, una vez seleccionada en el menú, te la mostrará en formato inglés. Primero el mes y luego el día. En esta imagen del eTravel que te mostramos aquí, la fecha hace referencia al 4 de diciembre, no al 12 de abril.
• País de origen: Si vuelas desde, por ejemplo, España a Filipinas, haciendo una escala en la que no sales de inmigración, el país es España. En caso de que salieras y pasaras unas horas o días en otro lugar como Bangkok, el país de origen sería Tailandia.
• Motivo del viaje: Holiday/Pleasure/Vacation.
• Tipo de viajero: «Aircraft passenger».
• Nombre de la aerolínea: busca el que corresponda.
• Número de vuelo: Al seleccionar tu número de vuelo desde la lista que se te muestra, quedará relleno automáticamente también el campo de «Aeropuerto de llegada». El número de asiento no es necesario ponerlo.

4) Destino al llegar a Filipinas.

Aquí deberías poder elegir tu hotel de llegada entre los que aparecen en el menú desplegable. La realidad es que la mayoría de hoteles no aparecen. Algunos viajeros optan por poner el nombre de un hotel que salga en esa lista y otros hacen clic en «Residence» e introducen ahí los datos de su alojamiento.

5) En este paso, anteriormente te pedían los datos exactos de tus vacunas. Ahora ya no es necesario.

Indica en qué países has estado en los últimos 30 días, si has estado expuesto a una enfermedad infecciosa en los últimos 30 días y si has estado enfermo en los últimos 30 días.

Una vez rellenado todo, haz clic en «Next» y te llevará a otra pantalla en la que podrás revisar todos los datos que has introducido y cambiar los que sean incorrectos. Si todo está bien, haz clic en «Submit».

6) Ahora te aparecerá un código QR con el que ya puedes viajar a Filipinas. ¡Así de fácil!

Este QR no te llegará por mail , así que es importante que le des al botón de descarga y lo guardes para cuando tengas que volar.

Si necesitaras modificar algo de tu solicitud del eTravel Card Filipinas, lo puedes hacer desde aquí , introduciendo tu fecha de nacimiento y el número de referencia que viene bajo el QR.

Otro documento imprescindible para viajar a Filipinas

Tal y como te contamos en Documentos para viajar a Filipinas , además del eTravel existen otros documentos que ahora son obligatorios para entrar al país. Pese a que el seguro de viaje a Filipinas  ya no es obligatorio, el propio Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores insiste en la enorme importancia de contar con uno que te proteja de inicio a fin de tu viaje.

Qué requisitos covid debo cumplir

Desde julio de 2023 ya no es necesario estar vacunado para entrar a Filipinas.

Cuándo puedo solicitar mi eTravel

En las 5 días previos a la salida de tu vuelo. Si en tu caso necesitas un test para entrar, te recomendamos hacerlo cuando ya tengas los resultados. Desde el 1 de noviembre se puede rellenar incluso a la llegada, es decir, no es necesario que la tengas de cara a facturar o subir al avión.

El pasado noviembre estuve en Filipinas y cumplimenté el e Travel en el aeropuerto de Manila al llegar. ¿Sigue siendo igual?. Otra pregunta: voy de camino a Port Moresby, dónde no sé si tendré que estar seis, tres o dos días antes de regresar a Manila para coger un avión con destino a Doha. ¿Podré coger el primer vuelo en Port Moresby para viajar a Manila sin tener el e Travel?. Hola Casper. Legalmente lo necesitas al aterrizar, pero algunas aerolíneas lo piden al embarcar. Podrías hacerlo sin problema desde el aeropuerto que te lleve a Filipinas. Saludos.

Touring the Top 10 Moscow Metro Stations

Komsomolskaya metro station looks like a museum. It has vaulted ceilings and baroque decor.

Hidden underground, in the heart of Moscow, are historical and architectural treasures of Russia. These are Soviet-era creations – the metro stations of Moscow.

Our guide Maria introduced these elaborate metro stations as “the palaces for the people.” Built between 1937 and 1955, each station holds its own history and stories. Stalin had the idea of building beautiful underground spaces that the masses could enjoy. They would look like museums, art centers, concert halls, palaces and churches. Each would have a different theme. None would be alike.

The two-hour private tour was with a former Intourist tour guide named Maria. Maria lived in Moscow all her life and through the communist era of 60s to 90s. She has been a tour guide for more than 30 years. Being in her 60s, she moved rather quickly for her age. We traveled and crammed with Maria and other Muscovites on the metro to visit 10 different metro stations.

Moscow subways are very clean

To Maria, every street, metro and building told a story. I couldn’t keep up with her stories. I don’t remember most of what she said because I was just thrilled being in Moscow.   Added to that, she spilled out so many Russian words and names, which to one who can’t read Cyrillic, sounded so foreign and could be easily forgotten.

The metro tour was the first part of our all day tour of Moscow with Maria. Here are the stations we visited:

1. Komsomolskaya Metro Station  is the most beautiful of them all. Painted yellow and decorated with chandeliers, gold leaves and semi precious stones, the station looks like a stately museum. And possibly decorated like a palace. I saw Komsomolskaya first, before the rest of the stations upon arrival in Moscow by train from St. Petersburg.

2. Revolution Square Metro Station (Ploshchad Revolyutsii) has marble arches and 72 bronze sculptures designed by Alexey Dushkin. The marble arches are flanked by the bronze sculptures. If you look closely you will see passersby touching the bronze dog's nose. Legend has it that good luck comes to those who touch the dog's nose.

3. Arbatskaya Metro Station served as a shelter during the Soviet-era. It is one of the largest and the deepest metro stations in Moscow.

4. Biblioteka Imeni Lenina Metro Station was built in 1935 and named after the Russian State Library. It is located near the library and has a big mosaic portrait of Lenin and yellow ceramic tiles on the track walls.

5. Kievskaya Metro Station was one of the first to be completed in Moscow. Named after the capital city of Ukraine by Kiev-born, Nikita Khruschev, Stalin's successor.

6. Novoslobodskaya Metro Station  was built in 1952. It has 32 stained glass murals with brass borders.

7. Kurskaya Metro Station was one of the first few to be built in Moscow in 1938. It has ceiling panels and artwork showing Soviet leadership, Soviet lifestyle and political power. It has a dome with patriotic slogans decorated with red stars representing the Soviet's World War II Hall of Fame. Kurskaya Metro Station is a must-visit station in Moscow.

8. Mayakovskaya Metro Station built in 1938. It was named after Russian poet Vladmir Mayakovsky. This is one of the most beautiful metro stations in the world with 34 mosaics painted by Alexander Deyneka.

9. Belorusskaya Metro Station is named after the people of Belarus. In the picture below, there are statues of 3 members of the Partisan Resistance in Belarus during World War II. The statues were sculpted by Sergei Orlov, S. Rabinovich and I. Slonim.

10. Teatralnaya Metro Station (Theatre Metro Station) is located near the Bolshoi Theatre.

¿Hay que doblar la ropa o enrollarla? ¿Es mejor una maleta de lona que una de ruedas? Aquí unos consejos para ahorrar espacio en las maletas (y gastos extra de facturación).

Para algunos viajeros, la sola idea de tener que hacer una maleta de mano puede amargarles incluso las vacaciones mejor planeadas . Pero hacer una maleta ligera también puede ser un esfuerzo creativo que ayude a crear expectativas por la próxima escapada. Y con el aumento de las tarifas de las maletas facturadas, tiene sentido desde el punto de vista económico dominar el arte de llevar una maleta de mano. Aquí algunos consejos para ahorrar espacio, y cordura.

Adopta una mentalidad minimalista

Si tiendes a empacar demasiadas cosas, en primer lugar piensa por qué viajas. Esto te ayudará a concentrarte en las vistas, los sonidos, los olores y los sabores que estás a punto de experimentar, en lugar de en la cantidad de ropa que no puedes meter en la maleta.

Y recuerda: aunque tu maleta cumpla la política de equipaje de mano, eso no significa necesariamente que se te permita llevarla. Por ejemplo, si estás en un grupo de embarque bajo, es más probable que tengas que facturar tu maleta. Teniendo esto en cuenta, guarda los artículos esenciales, como los medicamentos, en una bolsa pequeña que quepa fácilmente debajo del asiento de delante. Saber cuándo doblarlas

A la hora de empaquetar la ropa, la pregunta es: ¿hay que doblarla o enrollarla? Settie recomienda enrollarla porque ocupa menos espacio y se arruga menos. Con las camisetas es fácil, pero ¿y con la chaqueta de un traje? Los mayordomos del Raffles Doha utilizan una técnica que consiste en girar un hombro de la chaqueta del revés y meter el hombro opuesto por dentro, alinear las mangas y luego doblar la chaqueta por la mitad mientras está del revés, lo que minimiza las arrugas y ayuda a proteger la capa exterior de la chaqueta (Settie compartió las instrucciones aquí ). O simplemente llevar tu blazer en el avión, algo que Settie sugiere porque las chaquetas y los jeans ocupan mucho espacio y pesan más. Además, dijo, hacerlo te da “el beneficio añadido de viajar con estilo”.

Al colocar los objetos en la maleta, piensa en el equilibrio. Coloca los objetos más pesados, como los zapatos, en la parte inferior (cerca de las ruedas, si la maleta las tiene). Frommer dice que ella suele llevar dos pares y guarda en ellos cosas como calcetines y joyas.

La ropa debe ir en la parte superior de la maleta para reducir las arrugas provocadas por el peso, y las chaquetas en último lugar, según Settie. Tracee Ellis Ross is packing her bags and inviting audiences to join her solo travel adventures with the new Roku Original series “Tracee Travels.”

The series will chronicle the award-winning actor (“Girlfriends,” “Black-ish,” and most recently the Oscar-winning film “American Fiction”) and Pattern CEO and founder as she “meticulously, laboriously, and sometimes ridiculously prepares for and travels solo to spectacular locations.” The series will shoot later this year, following Ross as she “charts her own path, exploring the intersection of beauty, fashion, design, food and culture at each stop.”

The docuseries is produced by Ross’ Joy Mill Entertainment and Artists First, with Ross and E. Brian Dobbins serve as executive producers. Adriana Ambriz and Caroline Soss serve as co-executive producers. The series is overseen by Olivia LaRoche, Roku Originals’ head of alternative originals. The first season’s locations will be announced at a later date.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Arizona doctors could give their patients abortions in California under a proposal announced Wednesday by Gov. Gavin Newsom to circumvent a ban on nearly all abortions in the neighboring state.

It would apply only to doctors licensed in good standing in Arizona and their patients, and last only through the end of November. Arizona’s 1864 law banning all abortions except if the woman’s life is in jeopardy would take effect June 8, and Newsom said protecting access to abortions is “just about basic decency” and “respect for women and girls.”

“This Arizona law is the first border-state law that will directly impact the state of California,” the Democratic governor said. “Rather than just acknowledging that fate and future, we’re trying to get ahead of this law.”

Newsom joined the California Legislative Women’s Caucus and advocates to announce the proposal. Lawmakers called the Arizona law “draconian” and said California had an obligation to get involved. The bill would need to pass by a two-thirds vote in each house of the Legislature before reaching Newsom’s desk. After he signs it, it would go into effect immediately.

Dr. Tanya Spirtos, a gynecologist and president of the California Medical Association, said it is unfortunate that Arizona abortion patients will have to travel out of state, but she’s proud to see California step in to assist them.

“All personal medical decisions, including those around abortion, should be made by patients in consultation with their health care providers,” Spirtos said. “By banning virtually all abortions in the state, the ruling will put physicians in harm’s way for simply providing often lifesaving medical care to their patients.”

The Arizona Supreme Court cleared the way earlier this month for the near-total ban to move forward. Fifteen states have banned abortion at all stages of pregnancy, though Arizona’s Legislature is expected to repeal the 160-year-old law , setting the state up for a 15-week limit. California law generally allows the procedure up to the point of fetal viability, which is around 24 weeks.

About 11,500 abortions were reported in Arizona in 2022, down from nearly 14,000 in the previous year, according to a report from the Arizona Department of Health Services.

Democratic Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs’ office declined to comment on the California bill.

Newsom should focus on “very real problems” in his own state, said Arizona House Speaker Ben Toma, a Republican who voted against repealing the near-total ban.

Arizona state Sen. Eva Burch, a Democrat, said the California proposal is “a step in the right direction,” but she hopes it is not necessary and that Arizona repeals the ban. Burch has had two abortions to terminate nonviable pregnancies.

“It’s unreasonable for us to expect patients to have to travel out of state for this kind of care,” Burch said. “In circumstances like mine, where I was having a failed miscarriage, a stalled miscarriage, traveling wouldn’t be appropriate.”

While abortion access in California has never been under serious threat, Newsom — widely seen as a potential presidential candidate beyond 2024 — has made defending that access a priority of his administration.

Newsom pushed for abortion access to be enshrined in the California Constitution. He approved $20 million of taxpayer money to help pay for women in other states to come to California for abortions, and he signed dozens of laws aimed at making it harder for other states to investigate women who do so, including banning social media companies from complying with subpoenas or warrants.

In 2022, months after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, California launched a publicly funded website to promote the state’s abortion services, including information about financial help for travel expenses and letting teenagers in other states know that California does not require them to have their parents’ permission to get an abortion in the state.

It’s also become a chief talking point in Newsom’s role as a top surrogate of President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign. Using money left over from his own 2022 reelection campaign, Newsom started a political action committee he calls the “ Campaign for Democracy ” that has paid for billboards and TV ads in Republican-led states to criticize their leaders’ attempts to outlaw or restrict access to abortions. In February he launched ads in multiple states to criticize proposals there that aimed to prohibit out-of-state travel for abortions.

Newsom’s campaign on Sunday released a dramatic ad in Alabama depicting a young woman trying to leave the state who is stopped by a police officer who demands that she take a pregnancy test. The ad ran after an Alabama lawmaker introduced a bill to make it a crime to help someone under 18 get an abortion without telling their parents or guardians. It has not been voted on in committee.
