Celebrate Nature with Brian Keating
Professional speaker, writer, broadcaster, international nature tour guide, and naturalist.
Welcome, Nature Enthusiasts!
I have been exploring the world near and far since the young age of 12, when I acquired my first camera and binoculars. I have specialized in both polar regions, various wildlife rich countries in Africa, the Galápagos & Ecuador, and our own Canadian west coast, traveling up to 6 months during the year.
My philosophy? It’s nicely illustrated with the 2-minute video below. Enjoy the adventure!

BRIANKEATING
Brian Keating
I’m creating the university you wish you went to, about brian keating.
Brian Keating is the Chancellor’s Distinguished Professor of physics at the Center for Astrophysics & Space Sciences (CASS) in the Department of Physics at the University of California, San Diego . He is a public speaker, inventor, and an expert in the study of the universe’s oldest light, the cosmic microwave background (CMB) , using it to learn about the origin and evolution of the universe. Keating is a writer and podcaster and the best-selling author of one of Amazon Editors’ ‘Best Non-fiction Books of All Time”, Losing the Nobel Prize.
Imagine if you could attend a ‘university’ staffed by the brightest minds in the world, take classes in your pajamas, and graduate debt-free (because there is no tuition!).
Are you sick of science popularizers who wax poetically about wormholes and breathlessly rhapsodize about the ‘Mind of God’? Me too!
It’s frustrating when scientists play it safe in their books and talks, refusing to respect their audiences… or worse, disrespecting their audience by ‘dumbing down’ their content. After nearly two decades as a professor — and many more before that as a student — I’d had enough. I decided to do something about it.
Unlike your college professors, I don’t grade on a curve because there is no curve! I’ll be your tour guide as we explore the most mesmerizing concepts in all of science via first-person interviews with the magnificent minds behind them!
Unlike other interview channels, I pride myself on conversations that involve YOU — yes, you will come alongside me.
Together, we will experience moments most of us never thought we’d get to hear, let alone participate in. These are the conversations you’ll replay in your mind for years to come and hopefully share with your friends as well.

Bad Bunny enthralls Detroit crowd in milestone Latin pop night at Little Caesars Arena
In a bedazzled, often breathless show that clocked in at nearly 2½ hours, Latin pop megastar Bad Bunny left his mark on Detroit Saturday night.
Little Caesars Arena was packed for the occasion as the prolific Puerto Rican singer-rapper made his much-awaited arena debut in the Motor City, arriving in town midway through his Most Wanted Tour to showcase his blend of reggaeton, trap music and club bangers — and his status as an international cultural powerhouse.
Here’s a rundown of Bad Bunny’s big night in the D:
It was a milestone evening
This was likely the biggest show of its kind in Detroit concert history: a fully Spanish-language set of global hits for a loud and locked-in crowd of 16,000-plus. Benefiting from an in-the-round format, it also goes down as one of the top concert attendances at LCA since the venue's 2017 opening.
Bad Bunny has skyrocketed to success in recent years, racking up streaming stats to rival Taylor Swift and Drake, along with a growing presence on mainstream airwaves. And unlike previous Latin crossover stars such as Ricky Martin, who turned to English lyrics for U.S. audiences, he’s done it while performing in his native tongue.
The chants of “BE-NI-TO!” that popped up regularly Saturday night affirmed the depth of the bond forged between the artist born Benito Ocasio and the growing Latin music audience in Detroit. Each of his slightest gestures — a tug of the sunglasses here, a pensive gaze into the crowd there — elicited eruptions of screams.
The 30-year-old Bad Bunny isn’t alone on this year’s show calendar: Young Mexican singer Peso Pluma will make his own LCA debut June 1, following a sold-out show at Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre last summer.
Club-show energy in a supersize setting
Operating on pair of semicircle stages flanking the arena floor, Bad Bunny delivered a big production with some eye-popping frills: a massive, revolving bridge overhead, a cinematic intro with a chamber orchestra, troupes of dancers, even an entrance atop a horse.
There were subtle and gorgeous bits too, including lustrous lighting and an array of illuminated, choreographed orbs that accompanied numbers such as “Thunder y Lightning.” For the 2023 hit “Mr. October,” the orchestra musicians dispersed across the venue, pairing up to perform among fans in the arena aisles.
When concertgoers arrived Saturday night, they'd received boot-shaped LED devices to hang around their necks — which were then activated by show producers for glorious, synchronized light displays across the arena throughout the show.
But for all the flash, there was an organic energy to it all, and Bad Bunny made LCA feel like a nightclub hot spot. Having emerged from anonymity just a few years ago, he has quickly mastered command of a big space with one-on-one intimacy.
A four-act show that flowed as one
Bad Bunny’s Detroit show was a generous 2-hour, 20-minute serving of music, including an opening spell that leaned heavily on his new album, “Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana.”
With a narcotic, low-end vocal delivery craftily jumping into a tenor for the big hooks, Bad Bunny was locked in from the outset: Joined by the orchestra to quietly kick off with the record’s low-key title track, he let the beat drop big-time as “Monaco” promptly followed.
The show’s second act — which found him returning to the stage atop a horse that was impressively chill amid 16,000 shrieking fans — found Bad Bunny reaching back for a rush of songs from his early years, many in abbreviated form.
Shades of Sad Bunny emerged during an emotional stint on the glowing bridge above the crowd, where he again tapped the new record for mood pieces such as “Vuelve Candy B.”
The night’s closing stretch was a crowd-pleasing run that included "Un x100to," here reworked as a piano ballad, the dance workout of “Perro Negro” and a high-energy melee of hits that came with a barrage of flames and pyrotechnics.

Fun facts from our Moscow Metro Tours:
From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.
At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.
According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.
The Museum was opened on Sportivnaya metro station on November 6, 1967. It features the most interesting models of trains and stations.
Coffee Ring
The first scheme of Moscow Metro looked like a bunch of separate lines. Listen to a myth about Joseph Stalin and the main brown line of Moscow Metro.
Zodiac Metro
According to some astrologers, each of the 12 stops of the Moscow Ring Line corresponds to a particular sign of the zodiac and divides the city into astrological sector.
Astrologers believe that being in a particular zadiac sector of Moscow for a long time, you attract certain energy and events into your life.
Paleontological finds
Red marble walls of some of the Metro stations hide in themselves petrified inhabitants of ancient seas. Try and find some!
- Every day each car in Moscow metro passes more than 600 km, which is the distance from Moscow to St. Petersburg.
- Moscow subway system is the 5th in the intensity of use (after the subways of Beijing, Tokyo, Seoul and Shanghai).

Past British Open champions Cameron Smith and Brian Harman lead area contingent in Masters
Past champions vijay singh and zach johnson are also in the field for the season's first major championship..
It's going to be a light contingent of First Coast and Golden Isles players in The Masters Tournament this week.
But two of them are past champions at the Augusta National Golf Club. And four of the five area players in the field are past major champions.
Masterful day: Lily Wachter of St. Augustine captures Drive, Chip and Putt title
Heading the list are the last two British Open champions, Brian Harman of St. Simons Island, Ga., and Cameron Smith of Ponte Vedra Beach. Every year they are eligible for The Masters they will be trying to join a long list of players who have won the oldest major (the Open began in 1863) and the youngest (the Masters started in 1934).
Thirteen players have done both, led by World Golf Hall of Fame members Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Ben Hogan, Sam Snead, Gary Player, Tom Watson and Seve Ballesteros. The last Open champion to then add a Masters to his resume was Nick Faldo in 1989.
Here are the area players in the 2024 Masters:
Harris English, St. Simons Island
Masters appearances: Four.
Best finish: A tie for 21st in 2021.
Notable: English has three top-10s in the U.S. Open.
Brian Harman, St. Simons Island
Masters appearances: Five.
Best finish: Tie for 12th in 2021.
Notable: Harman routed the field at Royal Liverpool last year for his first major championship, winning by six shots.
Zach Johnson, St. Simons Island
Masters appearances: 19.
Best finish: Won in 2007.
Notable: Johnson's 1-over 289 to win the Masters was the highest score since Jack Burke in 1956.
Vijay Singh, Ponte Vedra Beach
Masters appearances: 30.
Best finish: Won in 2000.
Notable: Singh's victory kicked off a stretch in which he finished tied for eighth or better in six of seven years at Augusta.
Cameron Smith, Ponte Vedra Beach
Masters appearances: Seven.
Best finish: Tied for second in 2020.
Notable: Smith became the only player to shoot in the 60s in all four rounds at Augusta in 2020 when he finished five shots behind Dustin Johnson.
