CHRIS TOMLIN TO TOUR CANADA THIS FALL

NASHVILLE, TN — (CANADIAN CHRISTIAN NEWS SERVICE) – Grammy® winner Chris Tomlin will return to Canada this fall, launching the Good Good Father Tour in September with eight concerts planned. Chris last toured Canada in 2016 during his sold-out Love Ran Red Tour. Pat Barrett, who is signed to Chris’ imprint record label Bowyer & Bow and wrote his #1 hit “Good Good Father,” is the special guest. Tickets on sale today at 10am ET at christomlin.com .

“I’m excited to come back to Canada and to bring along my good friend Pat Barrett,” said Chris. “It’s incredible to see how the song “Good Good Father” has impacted people around the world. Every night as we begin to sing the song, there’s no doubt of what it means to so many people.”

Singer/songwriter Pat Barrett is the first artist signed to Chris’ Bowyer & Bow label and released his self-titled EP on March 30, 2018. His first single “The Way” is out to radio now. Chris and Pat also teamed up to write the children’s book Good Good Father, which has sold nearly 200,000 copies.

The Good Good Father Tour announcement comes days after Chris wrapped his Worship Night In America Tour (WNIA) in the U.S. last weekend gathering over 175,000 to attend shows in its six-week run. Pat, along with Kim Walker Smith of Jesus Culture, Matt Maher, Christine D’Clario and Tauren Wells, also joined Chris on the WNIA tour. During its run, Chris continued his work with national non-profit America’s Kids Belong by offering his time to meet with church and community leaders seeking their help to end the foster care and adoption crisis. The gatherings brought together over 500 Mayors, business leaders, child-welfare executives, state legislators, faith leaders and Governors.

Chris will return to the recording studio this spring to finish his next album due out later this year.

Chris started off the night singing! After a couple songs, he introduced Pat Barrett who sang his songs, then they both sang a few more together. Wonderful music and worship, hard to believe Chris Tomlin has been in the music industry for 30 years! He played so many songs, some throwbacks from over 10 years ago! A night where the Holy Spirit was felt by many of us!

Attended the "Holy Roar" tour with Chris Tomlin, Pat Barrett, and Tauren Wells in Fresno, CA.

It was terrific! Amazing! Wonderful time of worship! Great! Words can't describe the blessing I received!

Loved everyone and their music. The sound was excellent! The videos great! The lights really added to the concert!

I've always loved Chris Tomlin's music and the tour was a great showcase for his talents.

He sang his new songs which were wonderful and really loved and enjoyed singing along with some of the older songs too!

All in all, had a great time in worship and enjoyed everything!

I did not go to his Christmas Show because his assistant sent me the wrong tickets, instead of tickets for his concert in Hershey they sent me tickets for the Beacon Theatre in New York City, and there is no way I am driving all the way to New York from Baltimore especially during the Christmas season!!!! Plus I used to drive up to Long Island every couple of months to visit my late fiancee's family and it would take us 4 and 1/2 to 5 hrs. depending on traffic and weather conditions, it is pouring rain so needless to say I won't be going to his concert in New York City tonight.

Josh Baldwin

Josh Baldwin is a songwriter and worship leader who joined the Bethel Music Collective in 2014.

Josh is known for his songs “Praises”, featured on Bethel Music’s Have it All, “You Deserve It All”, from his solo project Rivers, and “Stand in Your Love”, a song featured on Bethel Music’s album VICTORY (2019) which, reached #2 on the Christian Billboard charts.

He set us up to win.’ We’ve got the highest hand.” Drawing the inspiration from 2 Peter 1:3, FLAME adds, “God’s given us all the things that pertain to life and godliness.”

FLAME started down a path of rebellion and spent his early teen years partying. The influence of his older friends led to experimenting with drugs and a series of incidents at his school. FLAME was eventually kicked out of his high school, but little did he know God would use this as a turning point in his life. On his way to orientation at his new school, he was involved in a horrific accident when the car he was riding in was struck by an 18-wheeler three times, shattering the entire left side of his body.

“As the collision happened, I just remember being terrified, not even thinking about the pain, because there was pain,” he says, “but I was just thinking, Man, I’m about to die. I’m 16 years old, and I know I haven’t lived the things I believe as it relates to Christianity.”

Following the accident, FLAME was hospitalized and forced to do physical therapy for more than a year. The experience shook the young teen to his core, and he sought wisdom from his grandmother, the strongest Christian in his family at the time. They talked about repentance and redemption. A week later, his grandmother died unexpectedly of a heart attack at 55. These two life-changing events broke the ice clutching FLAME’s heart. “I was invited to church, and I resisted for a while,” FLAME continues. “Then eventually I went, heard the gospel, heard about Jesus’ love, dying for my sin, and I wept like a baby, and I gave my life to the Lord. I was 16 years old.”

Today, FLAME has a degree in biblical counseling from Louisville’s Southern Seminary, viewing rich biblical knowledge as essential to his ministry. “I love the Bible. I love theology. I love Jesus and that light bulb moment when people get excited about Him. I love taking the knowledge from the Bible and connecting the dots with how these things apply to our everyday lives and our deep-seated personal issues.”

FLAME is also raising the bar in Christian hip-hop through the quality of music he creates and the artists he’s introducing to the genre via the boutique label he and his wife founded in 2010, Clear Sight Music. “It’s not an exclusive hip-hop label,” he explains of their company, whose first signee is pop vocalist V. Rose. “We’re interested in the genres of music that influence the youth culture,” he says. “We want to pull in artists who can serve in that capacity and give them a label home.”

In all of his efforts, whether on-stage, in class or through the means of Clear Sight Music, FLAME is bridging the gap between the sacred and the secular. While his music is unashamedly Christian, he hopes it might also affect seekers as well, just like he was impacted by Christian hip-hop long before he surrendered his life to God. “Christianity is very black and white,” FLAME maintains. “I just want to encourage the Christian and the non-Christian who may be interested in peeking over the fence of Christianity that in this faith, in this worldview, you’ve been set up to win.”

Amen! Christian music star Chris Tomlin bringing 'Holy Forever' tour to Canton in October

C ANTON − Contemporary Christian music star Chris Tomlin will bring his "Holy Forever" world tour to the Canton Memorial Civic Center on Oct. 25.

Tomlin follows other nationally touring entertainers who have performed at the Canton Memorial Civic Center in recent months, including country music artists Cole Swindell and most recently, Brantley Gilbert. Comedian Jeff Dunham performed at the venue this past Saturday before a sold-out crowd.

Presale tickets for Tomlin are available at https://www.ticketmaster.com , using the code FOREVER.

The 51-year-old singer-songwriter has scored No. 1 songs in the Christian music genre while selling more than 12 million albums and amassing 6.8 billion global streams. He's also received numerous Billboard Music Awards and Dove Awards while being recognized as an ASCAP Songwriter of the Year and BMI Songwriter of the Year, according to Tomlin's news release.

Hit song 'Holy Forever' tallies more than 140 million streams

The Grammy-nominated " Holy Forever " topped Billboard's streaming, airplay and sales-based Hot Christian Songs charts while tallying more than 140 million streams.

“I never could have imagined how quickly the song would connect with the church around the world," Tomlin says on his website.

Tomlin also has garnered millions of YouTube views for the songs "Nobody Loves Me Like You" and " Is He Worthy ?"

“Tomlin’s name has become synonymous with modern worship music, as the Texas native has issued songs that have evolved into music standards sung by church congregations around the world," Billboard said.

Tomlin is among only a handful of musical artists to receive the SoundExchange Digital Radio Award for more than 1 billion digital radio streams, joining Justin Timberlake, Pitbull and Garth Brooks, the news release said.

He's also the first Christian artist to reach a billion streams on the music streaming platform Pandora.

Canton Civic Center is only Ohio tour stop

The Grammy winner's tour includes stops in Nashville, Boston, St. Louis, Kansas City, Seattle and Anaheim, as well as Germany, England, Hungary and Ireland. Tomlin will be performing at arenas seating more than 10,000 people and up to nearly 20,000. The Canton Memorial Civic Center is among the the smaller venues on the tour, seating around 5,000.

The Canton concert will be on the second leg of Tomlin's tour, which includes shows in Phoenix, San Diego, Pittsburgh, Houston, Orlando, Chicago, Atlanta, Baltimore and Indianapolis. Opening acts on some stops will be CAIN and Tauren Wells .

Canton is Tomlin's only Ohio show on the tour.

Tickets start at $20 plus fees

Earlier this month, Tomlin released the album, "Live From Good Friday." In 2022, he released the studio album, "Always," which features "Holy Forever," as well as "Always," "I See You" and "O Lord, You're Beautiful."

Tomlin also recently released the book , "How Great is Our God: Living a Worship-Led Life in a Me-Driven World."

Tickets for Tomlin's Canton concert go on sale to the general public starting at 11 a.m. Thursday. Tickets range from $20 to $95 plus fees for the 7 p.m. event and also can be purchased from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays at the box office at the Civic Center, 1101 Market Ave. N.
