3x3のパリ2024オリンピック出場をかけた予選大会(UOQT2)が、栃木県宇都宮市のライトキューブ宇都宮(大ホール)、宮みらいライトヒルを会場に開催することを決定しました。

開催日程は2024年5月3日(金・祝)～5月5日(日)の3日間。オリンピック予選が行われることは、宇都宮市はもとより日本では初開催になります。

宇都宮市では2024年4月26日(金)～4月28日(日)の3日間で、3x3のクラブチーム世界一を決める大会の開幕戦『FIBA 3x3 World Tour Utsunomiya Opener 2024』の開催が決定しています。

今年のゴールデンウィークは，国際大会とオリンピック予選が連続開催され，「3x3ウィーク」として盛り上がる宇都宮に注目！ぜひ宇都宮で3x3を存分にお楽しみください！！

日　　時：2024年5月3日(金・祝)～5月5日(日) 場　　所：ライトキューブ宇都宮(大ホール)、宮みらいライトヒル(宇都宮市宮みらい1-6) 大会内容：FIBA 3x3 Universality Olympic Qualifying Tournament 2 (UOQT2：パリ2024 FIBA 3x3 ユニバーサリティオリンピック予選2)

また、宇都宮市では「UOQT2」の開催に当たって，令和６年度スポーツ振興くじ助成金（国際競技大会開催助成）の申請を行います。当申請に際し、大規模な国際又は国内競技大会の組織委員会等のガバナンス体制の在り方に関する指針に係る セルフチェックリスト に基づく自己説明を実施しています。

Utsunomiya ready on eve of biggest FIBA 3x3 World Tour season ever

UTSUNOMIYA (Japan) – The twelfth edition of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour – the top competition on the 3x3 pro circuit – starts tomorrow, April 29, in Utsunomiya and will visit an unprecedent 18 cities in its largest season ever.

After announcing 13 stops earlier this year, FIBA is excited to announce 5 new Masters for this upcoming 3x3 World Tour season. 2023 season: Utsunomiya Opener - April 29-30 Manila - May 20-21 Marseille - June 30 - July 1 Macau - July 8-9 Edmonton - July 28-29 Prague - August 5-6 Lausanne - August 18-19 Debrecen - August 26-27 Constanta - September 9-10 Cebu - September 23-24 Amsterdam - October 6-7 Shanghai - October 14-15 Chengdu - October 21-22 Abu Dhabi - October 27-28 Wuxi - November 4-5 Manama - November 16-17 Hong Kong - November 25-26

World Tour Final - December 9-10 The full list of Challengers (international qualifiers) can be found here . Ub  Huishan NE  (SRB) won the 11 th  edition of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Abu Dhabi Final on December 10-11, 2022. ###

Exciting, urban and innovative, 3x3 is inspired by several forms of streetball played worldwide and is considered the world’s number one urban team sport. Steered by FIBA, games see two teams of three players face off on a basketball half-court.

It was played successfully for the first time in international competition at the 2010 Youth Olympic Games in Singapore and since then has benefited from the launch of a yearly professional circuit for men and women (World Tour and Women’s Series respectively) and national-team competitions.

3x3 made its Olympic debut at the Tokyo 2020 Games.

Wilson is the Global Ball Partner, Maurice Lacroix the Official Timekeeper and Chooks-to-Go the Global Partner of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour 2022.

FIBA 3x3 events are played on Enlio floors with Wilson balls, Schelde backstops, Bodet shot-clocks and the Magic Sky canopy system.
