Our commitment

At Autopia Tours, we actively promote the protection of flora and fauna on our Western Australian Tours. It is our duty to ensure there is minimal disturbance to this World  Heritage Listed region and the species that call it home. Cultural sensitivity and respect for traditional owners should also be shown at all times.

Part of our responsibility is educating guests on minimal impact practices and the importance of ensuring the safety of wildlife and the environmental sustainability of the destinations we visit.

Learn more about EcoTourism: https://www.ecotourism.org.au/

Traditional Owners

Autopia Tours would like to begin by paying our respects to the traditional owners of this country, with specific acknowledgement to the Wurundjeri people. Please be conscious and respectful of the sensitivities of indigenous culture and the spiritual connection they have with the land at all times.

Wildlife Encounters

The natural behaviours of wildlife are to be respected and not interfered with. When viewing wildlife, people should take care to avoid rapid or sudden movements, which could frighten the animal, and should keep noise to a minimum and refrain from touching, petting or feeding all wildlife including birds. Contact with people can introduce diseases to wildlife and can cause them to become aggressive.

Wildlife should not be handled or fed, unless by certified wildlife handlers. Feeding wildlife can alter their natural foraging behaviour and can lead to disease or illness through contact with people and the introduction of foods that are harmful to their digestive system. Feeding wildlife can also cause them to become aggressive toward people.

Wildlife that appears to be in distress, injured or in danger should be reported immediately to the appropriate authority, such as your Guide/Tour Leader, a National Park Ranger or Visitor Centre Staff.

Protecting our National Parks

People should remain on designated walking tracks, behind safety barriers/fences and follow all directions given by the guide/tour leader. Venturing off these can alter fragile ecosystems and can harm wildlife shelters and native vegetation. There are other dangers to be aware of too, such as cliff edges, unstable rock formations, overhanging tree branches and slippery ground cover. Remaining on tracks ensures safe visitation for guests and the environment.

No flora or fauna should be removed from their natural setting. This includes dead wood, fallen leaves, flowers and so forth, as they form part of the ecosystem of the region and their removal could cause a disturbance.

Waste Management

All buses are fitted with waste bins. No organic waste should be disposed of onto the ground. Although organic, items such as banana peels, apple cores, bread and other food scraps, are not natural/native to the region and can introduce pest species, diseases or harm to wildlife if found and eaten. We recommend all passengers bring a water bottle with you on our Grampians Tour. Purchasing bottled water contributes large amounts of plastic into the landfill. Therefore, we ask guests to bring their own bottle, as there is access to water refill stations available on our vehicles. Please ensure you stay hydrated throughout the tour to reduce the risk of sun exposure and dehydration.

All our guides carry a current Level 2 First Aid certificate. Please report any accident or illness to your tour guide. We recommend anyone with an existing medical condition to carry their medication with them on tour and to notify their tour guide at the beginning of the tour.

If you are a smoker! We ask you to refrain from smoking whilst in the company of other passengers and limit it to designated smoking areas. Smoking is not permitted on any of our vehicles, or in any type of accommodation including permanent campsites. We make frequent ‘comfort stops’ to allow free time for guests but cannot guaranteed smoke breaks. Please ensure you dispose of your cigarette butt responsibly and appropriately.

7 Day Perth to Exmouth Explorer Loop

It's an adventure, not a holiday Mar 2024 • Solo I wanted to see some of the west coast of Australia, which isn't as easy as the East Coast, especially if you don't have your own form of transport. This trip was perfect for that! There were about 22 of us in total, all varying ages, and some solo or with a friend or two, aswell as a wide range of nationalities. We were able to see some beautiful places, helping us to appreciate the natural world. We saw wild kangaroos, wild dolphins, turtles, and more if you chose to do an excursion. Everything was well organised, and it helps that the job to ensure it was organised was our leader, Geoff. He was able to ensure the smooth running of the tour, while we focussed on the experiences. Geoff told us about some of his favourite spots, enlightened us with his own stories and experiences, and took us to places we wouldn't have known about otherwise. Breakfasts, lunches, and dinners are included. This is mainly cereals or toast for breakfast, wraps for lunch, and a mixture of meals in the evenings. Everyone gets stuck in to set up, prepare, cook, and clean up afterwards. As Australia is a big country, there were long bus journeys, unfortunately, I feel the bus could have been more updated. It was tight between the seats, and I am only 5 foot 2. The only place for our legs was straight down, there was no room to put them underneath the seat in front of us, to stretch them out a little, as the seats have low backs. We also had a day bag with us on the bus, and this had to go by our feet as there was no where else to put it, such as over head compartments, or under the seats due to how little space there was. I felt bad for those who were taller. Our large bags were in a trailer attached to the bus, which I thought was a good idea. There were also no curtains or blinds on the windows. I was sat on the left side of the bus, and it got very hot due to the sun being that side. I put my hat and sunglasses on due to how bright it was, though I was then not able to feel the aircon as it was right above my head and if I had my hat on, I couldn't feel the air, so became quite hot. Due to being on the road for long periods of time, I feel these issues on the bus need to be looked at a bit more. We stopped for plenty of toilet/snack breaks at road houses/supermarkets. The accommodation was good for me, I chose the shared hostel accommodation. We didn't spend much time in the rooms. I was first concerned we may be sharing rooms with others outside of the tour although that was not the case. We shared with those on the tour, and the dorms were mixed. I think those with private rooms had a few reservations. It would have been nice to have been able to spend time at some of the places where we had our accommodation such as when we visited Monkey Mia, or Geraldton. We mainly got everywhere in the evenings, and left early morning. The trip is fast paced, and a full day at one, or both of these would have been great. I know this would add cost, and make the tour longer, but they seemed like lovely places to explore and almost everyone said they would have liked to have stayed at Monkey Mia for atleast a day. I personally loved the trip and seeing the different areas of Western Australia. It is not an area I heard too much about and I am glad I decided to do the tour. I would like to once again thank, Geoff for his fantastic work ethic, and showing us some wonderful scenery/wildlife in Western Australia. It was clear that he loves his job. I feel we all had a magical night on the beach while stargazing and seeing baby turtles. A night to remember! If you go to do this trip, make sure to take a fly net for your head. There are lots of them!

A great tour with an excellent driver/guide, Carlos, full of information, well organized and sensitive to our needs. Lots of wonderful places to see and experience from sunrise to sunset. Long bus rides at times and a full bus so little room to stretch out. But worth traveling the distances. Highly recommend the one way tour and fly out from Exmouth
Amazing tour! Very knowledgable tour guides (Lucy and Tom), great food and we visited some of the most beautiful places on earth :) Would definitely recommend doing this tour!!

En route to Geraldton, a detour leads us to the awe-inspiring Hutt Lagoon Pink Lake. Next, we marvel at the pristine Kalbarri coastline at the Natural Bridge and indulge in a tranquil stroll at Castle Cove. Concluding the day, we’ll reside in the serene coastal town of Kalbarri, where the Murchison River beautifully merges into the Indian Ocean .

During spring, the region bursts into vibrant wildflowers. Later, we break for lunch at the renowned Billabong Roadhouse (guest’s own tab)—an iconic stop since 1962. Our journey then takes us to the unique Shell Beach—a beach blanketed in tiny shells. At Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort, we nestle on a beach where dolphins frequent, within the World Heritage Listed Shark Bay. Here, opt to kayak, relax, or spot local wildlife like turtles and kangaroos.

Witness breathtaking cliffside panoramas at Shark Bay, spotting sharks, turtles, and rays from Eagle Bluff. Post a lunch stop at Overlander Roadhouse (guest’s own tab), our journey south encompasses picturesque halts at Galena Bridge, Coronation Beach , finally resting by Geraldton’s seaside.

Kenny Johnson. S.W.A.T.

SPOILER ALERT: Do not read if you have not viewed Friday’s episode .

Original S.W.A.T. cast member Kenny Johnson bid farewell to the team on Friday.

The promos for the CBS show seemed to indicate that his character, Officer Dominique Luca , was killed in the line of duty. That tease had fans buzzing about the death of a beloved character.

Worry not, fans. Although Luca sustained multiple gunshot wounds, he did survive the onslaught.

Desk duty was an option, but the Luca opts for retirement, and is given a ceremony attended by all outside of HQ.

He gave his reaction to the final farewell to TVLine.

“Oh God, man… Whew… [ Chokes up ] Just looking out at, like, Jay [Harrington] and Tan (played by David Lim), and Anna [Enger Ritch] and Odie (Otis Gallop as Sgt. Stevens)…. The look that they had, because they know what this means…. We’ve all been so close to each other for all this time, so every single time I eyed them it was  tough  because it’s Luca leaving, but for me I’m losing these friends that I’ve bonded with for six years, every single day. There’s a parallel there, obviously, but you know when it’s a human experience and it’s very real, I could see that there was a struggle in there for those guys, and it hurt me. It was a goodbye, but an “I love you” to everybody. It was wild, yeah.”
