Shimano 4 Piece Tribal TX-Lite A Carp Rod - 10ft . The Tribal TX Lite series is the ultimate rod series for the carp angler who wants mobility. Very small in transport (4pc), but the rods feel, cast and fish like a conventional 2pc rod. Fish everywhere, anytime.

The  'Intensity'  model is designed for extreme casting distances.

XT Carbon XT Carbon is used throughout the Shimano rod range. The number following the XT (XT100), denotes the quality of carbon fibre used. The higher the number, the stronger the carbon. Where different types of carbon are combined to create the required action both numbers will be shown (XT60/40).

Shimano Reel Seat In addition to using high-end Fuji reel seats, Shimano has designed a number of models in-house. These Shimano engineered models make it possible to use specialised reel seats for different types of rods.

NANO Shimano NANO carbon is a technology which is used to build rod blanks which are on average 35% stronger and 15% lighter than a conventional rod blank. The heart of a NANO rod blank is made of a NANO carbon sheet. This sheet has a special weave which allows to use a low amount of resin which is spread into very small (nano) particles throughout the sheet. This creates the lightness, strength and responsiveness in the blank.

The Shimano TX-5 fits perfectly into the highly regarded Tribal Specimen rod range. One of the best looking carp rods available, it is packed with the latest carbon technology and offers a stunning balance of finesse and performance.

If the look of your rods is as important to you as the performance, you will not be disappointed with the Shimano TX-5, they look sensational and will be the envy of others. And the performance is simply amazing.

Remarkably lightweight and slim, the powerful casting performance of the Intensity models will open up a new area to your long-range fishing, whilst the finesse nature of the tip action on all models inspires fish-playing confidence to fully enjoy the experience. At the heart of the Shimano TX-5 is a slim Nanosheet carbon blank which is reinforced with a 3K weave and also contains Biofibre for additional strength. The addition of ultra lightweight PacBay Minima guides enhances the action and tip recovery speed when casting, ensuring you maximise your distance. And if that's not enough, a custom 3K reel seat and a 3K polymer Winn Grip handle complete the rod. What's not to like?

There are six models in the range, which will cover all of your fishing. Two 10' models are designed for small waters or boat fishing and come with either a 3.00lb or Intensity action. This is the first Intensity action we have made in a 10' length and although short in length it can cast a 4oz lead over 200 yards!

There are three 12' models, including a distance busting Intensity, but for the ultimate in long range casting go for the 13' Intensity and reach distances you have only dreamed of.

As a combination of looks and performance, the Shimano TX-5 reaches new levels and has a feeling of quality that is so often missing in mid-priced rods.
