At a very short notice we planned our trip with Veena World to paradise – Kashmir. And yes, it was indeed awesome! The trip to Kashmir with my wife Jinal, was the best experience ever.

It was 7 days and 6 nights tour. Starting from our arrival at Srinagar, we headed towards Gulmarg exploring the nature's picturesque work, with a visit to Khilanmarg via the longest cable car. Turning up from Srinagar, the third day took us to Pahalgam which enlisted the richness of saffron fields at Pampore. The jaunting expedition to Kashmir made us visit the beautiful valleys like: Chandanwari – Lidder valley, Aru Valley which was around 15 km from Pahalgam. Then from Srinagar, we went to Chasmeshahi garden exploring Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh.

In order to conclude this amazing trip the sixth day was pretty serene. We visited Shankaracharya Temple, Island of Char Chinar and later enjoyed the Shikara ride in Dal Lake. This amazing journey at just Rs. 16, 000 per head was a fantastic deal.

From site seeing to the mouth-watering cuisines to the very convenient accommodation, everything had an enigmatic effect. In fact the tour leaders Amit and Chetan were the best. Both took out the tour really well. Above all, we had no problems throughout. There were several group games executed by them, which was a good source of entertainment.

Gifting us with this splendid experience, Veena World is certainly our travel partner for the rest of our life.

Day 01: Arrival Srinagar

On arrival at Srinagar , you will be met by our representative at the airport and transfer you to Deluxe Houseboat. Afternoon free for personal activities. Overnight at Houseboat.

Day 02: Srinagar – Local sightseeing

Half day tour of world famous Mughal Gardens. visit the Nishat Bagh (The garden of pleasure) and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love). Return to houseboat for hot lunch (extra). In the afternoon Shikara ride on The Dal Lake to enjoy the beauty that God has graced this city with which is often compared to Venice . Day 03: Srinagar to Gulmarg

After breakfast leave for Gulmarg, which is one of the most beautiful summer resort in the valley. Gulmarg (8700 ft i.e. 2652 mts ), Discovered by the Kashmiri romantic poet in the 16th century who was inspired with its grassy slopes covered with wild flowers. It is also popular for its golf course (in summer), the highest in the world and skiing during the winter season. Enjoy the splendor of nature and the snowy mountains. The Gondola Cable Car (optional) offers rides to the upland meadows of Kongdori and beyond to the top of Apharwat range to a height of 14000 ft for viewing the Himalayan Peaks in summer and for downhill skiing in winter. Day 04: Gulmarg to Pahalgam

After breakfast, leave from Gulmarg and drive to Pahalgam 2440 Mtrs (Vale of Kashmir) on the way visit Saffron fields and Avantipur ruins which is eleven hundred years old temple. Finally by the lunch time you will reach Pahalgam which is the most famous place for Indian Film Industry. After lunch (Your own ) enjoy the nature charm of the valley. Overnight at Hotel.

My husband and I traveled with Veena World to Lahaul Spiti between 2nd June and 13th June. As soon as we reached Chandigarh from Mumbai, I realised what a mistake we had made. First, the car allotted to four of us of the group of 20, didn’t have a functioning AC, a horrendous experience in the 41 degree heat! Next, the sight seeing began almost immediately with a visit to Pinjore gardens in the sweltering heat and burning hot sun. Obviously, no one did any sightseeing, but Veena World had completed part of their itinerary! This was a recurring experience throughout. For example, when we had reached the heights, we were taken sightseeing to Pin Valley National Park, which was just a repetition of the rocky terrain we drove through during the entire tour. The ‘running’ kitchen dished out the same insipid cuisine day in and day out. We could hardly sample any of the local cuisine. There was often a feeling of being herded like cattle and dragged to different sightseeing spots. Undoubtedly, Spiti is a most majestic and grand part of the Himalayas, but it’s not for seniors, which was the major age composition of the tour. Additionally, the ‘hotels’ allotted to us were substandard, to use an understatement. Only after we fought and argued with the Mumbai office, were we allotted more decent rooms. Veena World was most poorly organised in its plans, dragging us through 12-13 hours of driving in rocky river beds and dangerous routes almost daily . Luckily, the drivers of the cars were experienced, and so they were able to steer us safely through these. Had Veena World warned us of these pitfalls at the very outset, we would never have booked for this tour. This company seems to go to any extent to cut costs, even endanger the lives of its patrons. One of the group had to be rushed to a ‘primary health centre’ as he was feeling very uneasy. There was no doctor, as expected and when one was found, she hardly had any wherewithal to even conduct an examination! Such negligence renders one speechless. My only suggestion is the one must AVOID travelling by VEENAWORLD at all cost! Trash it!

My niece and myself had booked Veenaworld spiti valley tour from 2nd june to 13th june. Got the list of confirm hotels only 3 days before the tour after persistently asking about it. They did not give us the hotels given in the list at three places out of four in the first four days of the tour. The hotels provided by Veena world were absolutely pathetic and at places not suitable for family crowd. At Nako and Losar only 10 people out of 20 got good rooms rest of us had to stay in underconstruction (Nako) and filthy hotel (Losar). I would not be surpised if I come to know that the tour managers are getting incentives if they make us stay in degraded hotels, since in the first few days of the tour we were all not familiar with each other and everyone complained individually. After the fourth day we all were complaining like a group. The food provided was not up to mark. Vehicles provided were not in the best of conditions. This is a reputed tour operater and it is unacceptable that the hotels in the list provided to us had 'bounced' the word used by our tour manager, in three places of our stay in the first four days of our tour. In sangla we had to stay in Prakash guest house instead of Prakash regency. And in losar the hotel provided had only 5 rooms of which one was given to someone else, and we were 20 people to be accomodated which they knew when we had booked the tour. The rest of us 12 people were given accommodation in dirty hotels nearby. Same was the case in Nako. The harrasment we faced on ground cannot be described in words. Even after calling their representative and sending mails we did not get any reply from them. Very bad experience I will not recommend Veenaworld tours to anyone in my circle.

I am a frequent and widely travelled senior citizen, who had to suffer the misfortune of doing a trip to Kashmir recently with Veena World (VW). Easily one of the most incompetent and unprofessional tour operators in business today, I would like to outline below some of the grossly unacceptable practices being adopted by Veena World, for the cautionary benefit of the tourists who wish to patronize this tour operator: 1. Once you have paid up for an upcoming trip, in case your travel plans change due to an unforeseen family or medical emergency, you can forget getting a refund. You are likely to be stuck with VW, and forced to travel on one of their other tours, whether you like it or not. I know of several cases among my friends who have paid up Rs. 1,00,000/- – Rs. 5,00,000/- , and who are entrapped in the ‘No Refund on Cancellation’ policy since several months, doomed to travel with VW as an when a suitable opportunity or tour presents itself. 2. No amount of convincing or protesting, even during the recent covid pandemic, when cancellations due to the precarious prevailing conditions within the country and abroad were justified, would make them refund your hard earned money. This unsympathetic and unreasonable practice is appalling, to say the least. 3. During day long travel, especially when our travel involved change of aircraft and a long layover, food was offered to us only after we protested loudly demanding that food packets be distributed between our connecting flights. 4. Forget being welcomed with a chilled welcome drink upon arrival in Srinagar, we weren’t even offered a small bottle of mineral water. 5. The buses engaged by VW throughout the sightseeing tours on all the days, were extremely badly maintained NON – AC BUSES, with cramped seating arrangement and virtually no leg room. 6. The rash bus drivers drove the buses with absolute no consideration for traffic rules or speed limits, making these bus rides near traumatic. 7. The hotel rooms allotted to us in Srinagar were absolutely pathetic 8 ft X 8 ft dingy affairs, with NO AC, unwashed linen and poor room service eg. My request for a couple of clothes hangers or a cup of tea took nearly two hours to be attended to. 8. The quality of the food served left a lot to be desired. It was alternating between extremely spicy and completely bland. 9. Snacks like mini Cadbury Perks chocolate bars, Maggie noodles and popcorn were served ever so unimaginatively during travel. 10. The general itinerary comprised of several inconsequential places of little or no significance that could have been easily avoided. These are only a few of the rather long list of inconveniences we had to put up with. A word of caution to anyone even remotely contemplating taking tours with Veena World…just avoid VW like plague. Trust me, you’ll never regret it!

This was by the best travel group company I have ever dealth with. Been on many all over the world Veena world was prompt with any questions I had prior to trip and during trip. My trip was cut short due to covid 19. Our guide and driver were phenominal . Sagar our guide for whole trip was outstanding. Very compassionate . My 16 year old son adored him. We were on a lifetime trip to India. Sagar made this trip memoreable . Highly knowledgeable of history .Veena world took our safety as their forst priority everywhere we went. All hotels were good clean and excellent meals provided. Sagar while in Ranthaborne took us to an old fort which is not a tourist spot. It was amazing. We were saddened when we told by our govt advising to get home. Next march we will go back and using Veena world again. the whole team at Veena was amazing . Every tour was top notch and I had flexibilityi of not being herded like big bus tours do. When covid travel restrictions put in place I must admit India was pro active airports hotels sites etc.Once I arrived home was expecting the same as India but our Canada was no where near India with precautions. I left India feeling like I needed to get back asap. Veena world is all over use them for your travel Best experience form start to finish.
