American country/ folk band, Zac Brown Band is southern born and supported; to be more specific, in Atlanta, Georgia in the United States.

Three-time GRAMMY winners and multi-platinum artists Zac Brown Band have become one of music's most heralded acts. Their latest album JEKYLL + HYDE, out now on Southern Ground Artists/John Varvatos Records/Big Machine Label Group/Republic Records, marked the band’s third consecutive #1 debut on the BIllboard 200 chart.

Together with their three platinum-selling albums, Uncaged, You Get What You Give, and The Foundation, and their 2013 project The Grohl Sessions Vol. 1, the band has sold over seven million albums to date. On the radio, the band has earned a historic series of thirteen #1 hit radio singles and became only the second artist to top both the country and active rock formats.

Zac Brown Band are currently out on their largest North American Stadium Tour to date which includes two history making performances - a first ever three-night run at Fenway Park, and the first ever concert at Coors Field. Additional stadiums include Wrigley Park, Nationals Park, Citi Field, Comerica Park and Citizen's Bank Park. Zac Brown Band is managed by ROAR, a Beverly Hills-based artist and brand management company.

The band is also represented by CAA, public relations firm Shore Fire Media and strategic digital marketing agency Girlilla Marketing. Additional information can be found at http://www.zacbrownband.com/.

Live reviews

Country rockers the Zac Brown Band delight crowds all over the States with their infectious music and high energy performance. The sound the band makes sounds so huge when you consider that it is seven musicians sat with their guitars. There are no gimmicks or special effects just endearing, well played country music.

From the ripping stomp-athon 'Whiskey's Gone' that begins the show, the audience cheer throughout. No matter what your preference in genre, Zac Brown and his brilliant band have catered for you with covers from all range of artists such as Led Zepplin, Billy Joel and Queen. The emphasis of fun is there within the performance as Zac continuously interacts with his audience and tells tales of gigs gone by or the meanings behind certain songs before his band kicks in.

Having had a large amount of hits on the US Country chart, the band intelligently blend some together so everyone has chance to hear at least part of their favourite. A particularly fantastic combo is 'Free' and 'Into The Mystic', a cover of Van Morrison. They finish with their very first hit single 'Chicken Fried' and take a final bow whilst enjoying the huge applause from the crowd.

I LOVE the Zac Brown Band. I've seen them three times. This is the first time I've gone on a Sunday and to be honest, I was a little disappointed. They played a lot of covers, which is fine, but when it came to the encore, we were excited because it felt like they had missed a few really good songs. They played one new song off their album, then went into a ridiculously long "guitar battle" which honestly went on for way too long considering that it was 10pm and as a 27 year old with a job, I was ready to go to bed. Had they played that in the middle of the concert, I would have been more into it but I wanted to hear a few more of their big hits during that time. But instead they did the guitar off and we were just like "what is happening right now..." and then the last song they played was a cover! I would have gone home had I know that was going to be the case for the encore. I didn't need to stay an extra 30 minutes for that. We were all pretty disappointed, especially for paying $50 to go see them. They have SO many good songs, and I'm sure they want to switch it up and play something different, but don't use the encore for that! Leave us on a high at the end..

I got to see Zac Brown Band for the second time when they toured with Kenny Chesney! I got to see ZBB when Dr. Ryan took me to the Southern Ground Festival 2 years ago but this was Mom’s first time. I still can’t get over how much talent is in this band. I feel like they play a better rendition of The Devil Went Down to Georgia than Charlie Daniels. I swear it’s faster, I don’t know how they do it. At one point, the lead electric guitarist went into this forever long solo that never got boring. It reminded me of being at a Keith Urban, John Mayer, or Brad Paisley concert. Maybe ZBB should get together with them for a song! The boys finished out their set with Chicken Fried which I’m pretty sure will always be my favorite, no matter how many more albums they release.

We saw Zac in Charlottesville, VA. I twas a great show that highlighted the new album but also his many super hits. We were also impressed with the amount of covers he and the band did. he also included Darrell Scott for the eintire show as part of the bandm which I loved. Also brought out was the O'Conner family band, who are now on my to see list! Caroline Jones was a surprise opener who also came out and did a couple with Zac and she was very good.

I would recommend seeing the Zac Brown Band if you have the chance and also the longtime stalwart Darrell Scott should be on you bucket artist list!

Where to begin??? Zac and his crew are amazingly talented singers, songwriters, performers that don’t get the recognition they deserve in the music industry. My husband is part of his crew and I have had the privilege of witnessing several shows at different locations to “SOLD OUT” crowds that love him. He never does the same show twice, so you just never know what you are going to see when you go to one of them, always a variety of different genres of music. They are all just an amazing group of musicians. I LOVE Zac Brown Band!!!!

Seeing Zac Brown Band live is a treat that anyone who has an appreciation for music could enjoy. They presented all spectrum and genres of music from Kashmir by Led Zepplin to Into the Mystic by Van Morrison, and-of course- some Jimmy buffet. The band displayed their talents both through "big band" moments with flashy lights and hifi audio as well as an "acoustic session" with just six band members and a microphone. The show was family-friendly and enjoyable for all audiences. I definitely want to see Zac Brown Band in concert again.

Great show! They played most of their hit and then some songs from other artist. They did a great job of trying to keep the atmosphere like a party but many of their songs don't fit with that atmosphere. They do a great tribute to the troops. That was a part of the show that had everybody's attention. The lawn seat a Klipchs was you and rowdy but the closer to the pavilion you sat the better that got. The only problem with the show was the opener. They were a little more deep southern country and so nobody seemed to care about them.

I've waited 5 years to see the band. It was well worth the wait. Zac Brown Band did not disappoint. It was a beautiful night. Nobody was acting up and I have a great memory with my lady. She surprised me with the tickets and words can't describe how excited I was. The band is stand up. There were storms coming in and they did there best to finish there set so we could get out to our cars as quick as possible. To have concern for your fans is hands down amazing. Can't wait to see them again.

The last time we saw Zac Brown perform was outside at the Olympic Park back in June 2013 as a support act so we were pleased to see them in an indoor arena and performing as the main act.

Having only discovered the Zac Brown Band around 5 years ago they always inject great energy when performing live and the O2 was no exception. Great live band, great song selection as well as a few covers and an overall performance that brought house down!

Awesome show! Opener Madison Ward will be a star in my estimation. Beautiful vocals and her cover of Killing Me Softly later in the show was magic. Zac and his band are phenomenal musicians. Their covers of Use Somebody, Bohemian Rhapsody and Paradise City were incredible! My favourite was Bohemian Rhapsody. Very engaging and crowd participation was one of best I've ever experienced. Great night. Would see them again in a heartbeat.

Zac Brown Band Unveils New Song 'Pirates & Parrots (Feat. Mac Mcanally)'

The song is a tribute to their longtime friend and collaborator Jimmy Buffett.

pixeltracker

Renowned country music sensation Zac Brown Band has set sail on a musical voyage with the release of their latest single "Pirates & Parrots" featuring acclaimed singer-songwriter and Coral Reefer Band member Mac McAnally.

The track serves as a heartfelt tribute to their esteemed friend and collaborator, the legendary Jimmy Buffett. "Pirates & Parrots" blends Zac Brown Band's signature sound with the laid-back, island-inspired vibes synonymous with Buffett's iconic repertoire, capturing the shared passion for storytelling through song. In addition, the “Pirates &Parrots (feat. Mac McAnally)” official lyric video is also available today for fans to watch  HERE . “I'm so excited for you to hear this song and to pay tribute to Jimmy Buffett. It hit me hard when we found out he was exiting the stage, he was an incredible human being,” Brown comments.

Brown premiered “Pirates &Parrots” last Thursday at the Hollywood Bowl’s Keep The Party Going: A Tribute to Jimmy Buffett, a performance that the LA Times called “a very sweet reminder that this music really meant a lot to a lot of songwriters who took it to new places.” McAnally was, fittingly, the music director and band leader for the tribute concert. Brown also performed his 2010 duet with Buffett, "Knee Deep" and was later joined by Dave Grohl for a special rendition of Van Morrison’s “Brown-Eyed Girl,” a cover that was common in Buffett’s setlists. In addition to Brown, the night saw appearances from an all-star lineup including Paul McCartney, The Eagles, Jon Bon Jovi, Jackson Browne, Brandi Carlile, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Sheryl Crow, Scotty Emerick, Jack Johnson, Caroline Jones, Mac McAnally, Jake Owen, Pitbull, Jake Shimabukuro and The Coral Reefer Band.

Earlier this month, McAnally released his highly anticipated new songs “Oysters and Pearls” and “All The Way Around. Listen here:  https://ffm.bio/macmcanally . “Oysters and Pearls” is a breathtakingly beautiful tune co-written by McAnally andJimmy Buffett. Buffet previously released the song and McAnally honors Buffett by staying true to the infamous island, tropical sound while using his unique vocals to add a sense of soulfulness and emotion to the heartfelt song. The second new song, “All The Way Around,” paints a vivid picture of life for someone who is curious, adventurous and determined to live life to the fullest. McAnally, who knows a thing or two about traveling “All The Way Around,” wrote the song in anticipation for a performance in Antarctica. The upbeat yet laid back track is sure to become a fan favorite that gets everyone on their feet and wanting more from the talented artist. McAnally is currently on tour with sold out shows all around the country where fans can hear the ten-time CMA Musician of the Year play all the incredible music from his extensive catalog including his own hits and see for themselves the mind-blowing talent of the man who has written, produced and sang for decades with no sign of slowing down. Inside Jimmy Buffett’s Tribute Concert: McCartney, Margaritas, and One Hell of a Parrothead Party

By John Lonsdale

John Lonsdale

“Good evening, Hollywood-fucking-Bowl!” Paul McCartney exclaimed to the flock of Parrotheads gathered before him. A sold-out crowd had assembled in the famed Los Angeles venue on Thursday to celebrate the legacy of Jimmy Buffett at “Keep the Party Going,” a laid-back, one-night-only tribute show full of eclectic guests.

“I had the great pleasure of knowing Jimmy , and like everyone else on the bill tonight, I said, ‘This is one great man.’ He was generous. He was funny. He’d done just about everything in his life,” McCartney said, before launching into “Let It Be .” It was a song that McCartney said he’d played for Buffett at his home during the final week of his life. Buffett died in Sept. 1, 2023, at 76 after a battle with Merkel cell skin cancer.

Along with the stacked musical lineup, “Keep the Party Going: A Tribute to Jimmy Buffett” featured introductions — some via video, some in person —  from Dolly Parton, James Taylor, Woody Harrelson, Pat Riley, and Dave Matthews. Harrison Ford was there in the flesh.

“There is no other way to say it: There will never be another like Jimmy,” Ford told the crowd, before introducing the Zac Brown Band as “one of Jimmy’s favorite and most-frequent collaborators.” The group jammed through the new track “Pirates & Parrots,” out April 19, and their collab with Buffett “Knee Deep,” with Brown literally taking off his pants to play the song in shorts and a tee backed by Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band.

Editor’s picks

The 250 greatest guitarists of all time, the 500 greatest albums of all time, the 50 worst decisions in movie history, every awful thing trump has promised to do in a second term.

“Jimmy enjoyed living life more than any person enjoyed living life,” the country star said. “I can remember we were hiking one day and we were heading up this vista and we started talking about music and songwriting and our careers and his life and my life, and death. And, ‘You know, Eric,’ [Jimmy] said, ‘Guys like us, we don’t really die.’ He said, ‘because the songs live forever.'”

“And this one will,” Church said, as the opening chords to “Son of a Son of a Sailor” rang out over the Bowl and an image of a sailboat drifting along the water was projected on a screen behind the musicians. Later, a projection of the Arc de Triopmhe appeared behind Jackson Browne as he sang his stirring rendition of “He Went to Paris,” one of Buffett’s greatest cuts from 1973’s A White Sport Coat and a Pink Crustacean .

In the latter half, the set list shifted to songs that Buffett wasn’t exactly known for: Snoop Dogg took the stage for a performance of “Gin and Juice,” alongside psychedelic visuals of Buffett in the 2019 Matthew McConaughey film The Beach Bum . And Pitbull appeared to perform his own “Don’t Stop the Party” before being joined by Jon Bon Jovi for “Thank God & Jimmy Buffett.”

Led by Don Henley and Joe Walsh, the California icons played their own miniature set featuring Henley’s “The Boys of Summer” and the band’s “Take It to the Limit” and “In the City.” The Eagles hung around to back up McCartney on the Beatles’ “Let It Be.”
