boutique wine tours napa valley

Napa Valley Boutique Wine Tours is in our 8th year in business and  I have more reviews ( I think) than any other one person wine  tour operator. With the inflation concerns, the only reason to pay more for a wine tour is you didn’t know about me or I was booked.

Hourly wine tour fees are often $800 to $1200 a day for 7 people or less. . My math tells me $500-$600 is less, but I wasn’t the best at math.

The great thing about my price is you aren’t sacrificing quality. Even the most respected wine tour companies call me when they get a client who wants a more challenging itinerary.

Most people think of a wine tour company so they don’t get a DUI. We make your day better and easier. But I’ll try to say this nicely; but I’m from New Jersey originally and we don’t sugarcoat the truth:  most peoples itineraries are basic .

Popular wineries are fine if that’s all you know; but the ones who hire me have higher expectations. My philosophy hasn’t changed. I will take you to small hidden wineries you would not find on your own. Nor would most wine tour drivers! I don’t wear a suit because my winery knowledge is that  good.

Recommended by the best hotel in the world, and the top winemaker too!

Most visitors to Wine Country do not have the knowledge to create a fantastic experience.   You have to trust the best wine tour drivers like myself to handle the selection of wineries.   My knowledge of wineries is a savings  over other wine tour companies and you will have a significantly better day with my choices.

You will not find a better wine tour experience or better pricing. It’s impossible.

About the Business

Business owner information

Business Owner

In short, there are a handful of wine tour owners who have my knowledge of wineries. My knowledge is as a former winery of Reverie Winery in Calistoga for 26 years I know who the wineries are as I am friends with them. My specialty is small wineries not the ones everyone else goes to and anyone can find. My slogan is if you can find it, you don't need me. I go out for the road less traveled. The wineries appreciate your business. I only have a handful of reviews, because I just started less than a year ago. Also, some go to yelp filtering that are real. I am sure there is no one better than me. MY rate is significantly less than other wine tour companies. Yes, you can pay much more with another wine tour company as an hourly rate costs $200 to $400 more once you go past 5 pm. I do not have hidden charges, gratuity built into the price so you double tip and gas fees. My rate is $450 for the day for unlimited hours up to 7 people with a pick up in napa and Sonoma. The number one hotel in the world recommends me, and the number one winemaker for the #1 wine. In in a few years, I will have to raise my rates, but for now, you are getting an amazing deal. I know the wineries and what are the best fits in a few minutes of a conversation. You should choose me if you want the best knowledge, service and price. . …

Absolutely an amazing wine tour. Being from the Willamette Valley, my husband and I knew we wanted to find smaller boutique vineyards and stay away from the busy touristy spots. Andy took us to 3 beautiful vineyards in the hills above Napa. At our 1st stop, we were driven to a secluded cabana in the middle of the vineyard with sweeping views of the valley. At the second vineyard, we were greeted at the car by one of the wine makers who showed us pre prohibition wine making equipment and cellar. Out last stop, we tasted amazing cabs deep under ground in a private tasting room in wine caves. Andy then met us with lunch out on the patio overlooking miles of vineyards. Not only did Everyone make us feel so special, we made friends along the way. Andy is a local, knowledgeable and very respected in the industry. Thank you for all the amazing memories and happy birthday.

Andy was wonderful! We had a bachelorette weekend in Sonoma, and Andy kept us on schedule from brunch, to 3 wineries, and then to dinner at a fabulous restaurant of his recommendation. He was flexible and informative, and very considerate of our group. Thank you for a perfect day Andy!

Andrew (Andy) provided a wonderful full day tour of Napa. We took the ferry from San Francisco and he was there to pick us up when we arrived. He scheduled a full day of wineries and returned us to the ferry at the end of the day. Andy picked wonderful boutique wineries, which were wineries that someone would never find on their own. We felt that we received personalized attention throughout the day, both from Andy and the wineries. He provided great information on Napa and the wineries. Andy is also very personable and friendly and willing to customize however we wanted. it was very convenient not having to drive and taking the ferry was convenient and fun. His car was nice, roomy, and comfortable. Thank you for a great trip.

Andrew does an amazing job of running his small business. He is quick to reply, offers helpful suggestions, and is very personable. My sister and I booked a half day tour with Andrew. Since we were not too familiar with the area, he gave great suggestions for three wineries. Some we would not have gained access to without him. We did a tasting in a redwood grove, on a small patio overlooking a hillside of grapevines, and the typical tasting in a room over a wine barrel. We have done wine tours before that visit the well-known wineries, but I would definitely choose Andrew's boutique wine tour again over anything else. The wines were wonderful as were their locals, and Andrew works very hard to ensure you enjoy your tour.

We had a great time visiting wineries where there were no other customers. It was really an amazing experience. We got to have one on one conversations with the winemakers. We got to tour at our own pace. The quality and value of this tour far surpassed our expectations. If you plan to do much NAPA touring/tasting - you may want to consider booking multiple days with Andy. At one of our stops we tasted the best wine of any that we tried in NAPA.

We were planning a girl's wine tasting weekend and at the advice of a friend found Andrew. He couldn't have been a better guide for our weekend. His knowledge of all things wine was more than we expected and each winery was better than the previous. We will be calling upon Andrew again for our next weekend getaway as we are sure he will amaze us!!

I would give Andy more than 5 stars if I could!!! Andy is the best from start to finish!!! He started out our relationship by being extremely responsive to all questions and helping us plan an awesome itinerary. He arrived exactly on time with waters, chocolates and cinnamon buns. He broke the ice by playing a Cash Cab game all about wine!! We loved it!! We went to 4 different wineries...each one different and unique. Andy has great knowledge of the wine business and amazing relationships that enabled us to access some true hidden gems!! It was a fantastic day!! Thank you so much, Andy!! You are the best!!!

Andy, the owner, is a stand up guy. He's very passionate about wine, Napa Valley, and making sure his clients have the best experience on his tours. If you want to see Napa Valley's lesser known but still amazing wineries Andy's your guy.

Great tour and info! Referred by a friend who had used them multiple times and did not disappoint. Even dropped us directly at our restaurant at end of tour. Unique tasting experiences as well with amazing knowledge along the way. Thank you!

Best Boutique Wineries in Napa

When we imagine a luxurious wine tasting experience, many of us think of country chateaus in verdant and picturesque valleys, nestled amongst cypress groves, the vineyards stretching off into the sunlit horizon.

To be sure, many of the world’s most iconic wineries do offer this kind of painterly setting to their visitors. But the creation of good wine is not dependent on the size of the estate – many of the Napa Valley’s cult favorite vintages are cultivated and vinted by small but mighty operations, known as boutique wineries.

What is a boutique winery?

boutique wine tours napa valley

Boutique wineries focus their efforts on producing unique, absolutely excellent vintages that give their patrons a view into the terroir and micro-traditions which the business pours into the making of each bottle.

Boutique vs. commercial wines

In contrast to the small operations of a boutique winery, commercial operations scale up their productions with a higher quantity and larger variety of wines produced throughout the year. Commercial wineries often have large vineyards from which they harvest their grapes, or source grapes from many vineyards which may or may not belong to the company which is manufacturing the final product.

Commercial wines are often cheaper than boutique bottles simply owing to the size and breadth of the business, but this does not mean that one is inherently better than the other. Delicious varieties can come from both types of wineries.

Where to find boutique wineries in the Napa Valley

The Napa Valley is one of California’s largest, and most famous, wine-growing regions, incorporating 16 unique appellations and 400 individual wineries within its area. From huge wine growing operations, to tiny mom-and-pop vineyards, wine lovers could spend a lifetime tasting their way through the hills, forests, and fields of this county and never get bored.

Wine tourists to the area should make sure to check off some of the famous wineries that put Napa on the global wine map. But between visiting the bigger cellars, here are a few boutique businesses we can’t recommend enough.

  • Nichelini Take an historic deep-dive with wines from Nichelini: one of the very first family wineries founded in the Napa Valley. Erected in 1884 by Anton Nichelini, the business is still owned and operated by the Nichelini family five generations later, with a great-great-great-great granddaughter overseeing production as head winemaker. Nichelini offers a sweet, rustic experience in all seasons, with much of the original architecture in-tact on the property. Enjoy a bottle of their newest releases or time-tested favorites with a picnic and lawn games in the spring and summer, and a cozy couch in the fall and winter.
  • Picayune This tres belles winery is owned and operated by French native Claire Ducrocq Weinkauf, who combines the tradition and history of her homeland with the soils and materials of the Napa Valley to create something new and delicious. Picayune’s tasting room is located in downtown Calistoga, nestled amongst small shops and restaurants so visitors can truly enjoy a boutique experience all around. Claire partners with other wine makers both local and abroad, bringing forth such delights as her Champagne Grand Cru Blanc de Noirs: a Pinot-based bubbly crafted from grapes grown in the heart of France’s Champagne appellation.
  • Tank Garage An experience like no other, Tank Garage is a recent addition to the Napa wine scene, serving eclectic new bottles out of their tasting space located in an ancient, defunct gas station. Offering punk-rock attitude and a 50’s greaser aesthetic, Tank Garage may surprise the skeptical among us with their attention to craft, and absolutely delicious selection of small-batch wines. This is a must-stop on any wine tourist’s list, with something for everyone stocked in the vibrant cellars of this unique establishment. Make a reservation, order a flight, and buy a bottle or two to take home.
  • Schramsberg Lovers of all things bubbly will want to move into this cozy, family-owned winery that has dedicated its vineyards and cellars to producing a range of small-batch sparkling wines. Founders Jack and Jamie Davies rescued an abandoned winery and vineyard back in 1965, pouring their love and hard work into the property to make it what it is today: one of the best and most unique boutique wineries in the Napa Valley. Visitors to the small estate can enjoy a tour of the grounds as well as the winery’s expansive caves, and nibble on a selection of local cheeses alongside their glass of sparkling rose ́.
  • Gamling & McDuck Voted “Best Hidden Gem Winery” by their peers, Gamling & McDuck is one boutique winery that’s paving the new road for Napa wine culture with exactly two varietals of top-tier wines served in an art-forward environment. Eclectic, irreverent, emotional, Gamling & McDuck’s Cabernet Franc and Chenin Blanc are for lovers of wine who want to experience the glass rather than analyze it. Although you could probably talk tannin levels and tasting notes too, if you like – they want you to do you while you sit in downtown Napa and swoon over their delicious, totally unique vintages.

Napa Valley Wine Tour at Artesa Winery in Carneros region of Napa Valley

The Carneros appellation is considered the crossroads of both Napa and Sonoma Valley where the two major wine regions collide. Along with this, it is known to produce some of the finest Sonoma Valley chardonnay, pinot noir and sparkling wines. Also it should be noted that the climate with the bay breeze and foggy mornings make for the perfect growing region of these Sonoma varietals. In addition it is the perfect halfway area for a Napa or Sonoma wine tour if you are coming from San Francisco or anywhere in the bay area. Finally It is also home to the oldest winery in all of California. What winery is that you ask? None other than the Historic Buena Vista Winery. Founded by Agoston Haraszthy in 1857.

The 10 best Napa Valley wine tours to sip and see Wine Country

There are many ways to drink wine in Napa. Try one of these Napa Valley wine tours via hot air balloon, vintage train or stylish tuk-tuk.

One of the easiest ways to experience Napa Valley is on a fun tour. If you're planning to drive through Wine Country, consider booking an informative tour and tasting at one of the best wineries in Napa . If you'd rather leave the car behind,  you can board a train, zip around on a Segway, peddle through the vineyards on a bicycle or take in the view of the valley from a hot air balloon. A standard Napa Valley wine tour will cover the history of the winery and explain how wine is made, but may also include venturing into the cellars, vineyards, and even a museum or art gallery before ending with a wine tasting. Afterwards, sit down at one of the best restaurants in Napa before you head home.

The 10 best Sonoma wineries

10 Most Unique Napa Wineries You Need to Visit

Most Unique Napa Wineries to Visit | Small and Boutique Napa Valley Wineries Off The Beaten Path

Editor’s Note: This guide to 10 of the best off-the-beaten-path and unique wineries to visit in Napa Valley is written by Winetraveler contributor and founder of Uncorked Adventures, Mark Aselstine . Mark has toured Napa extensively and offers his advice from the perspective of an industry professional and someone who has worked with many of the Napa Valley winemakers discussed below.

10 Lesser-Known Wineries That Let You See the Real Napa Valley

Fantesca estate & winery.

2920 Spring Mountain Rd, St Helena, CA 94574

(707) 968-9229

”Sexy, Smart, and Unpretentious,” might be some of the best ways to describe Fantesca Winery. A 53-acre piece of land was purchased in 2004 by winemaking couple Susan and Duane Hoff with a 10-acre vineyard already on the property. Since then, they have honed their style to something special.

Personal, professional, and exceptional are all words frequently used by visitors to describe their experiences on this stunning property. From the quality of the wine, to the interaction you can expect with the staff, you won’t leave this winery disappointed.

Note that visits to Fantesca must be made by reservation-only and are considered to be unique and private. Enquire ahead of time here to book your experience!

Winetraveler Tip: Want to stay on a vineyard? Take a look at some of our favorite vineyard hotels in Napa  and get updates on flight deals into San Francisco as they arise. Separately, save yourself the hassle of planning and driving, and consider booking a privately guided wine tour experience in Napa with concierge service.

If you’re interested in experiencing Napa Valley with an expert guide or driver, you can find a number of our highly recommended tour options below.

Benessere Vineyards Napa Valley Winery | Best Small and Boutique Napa Wineries

Benessere Vineyards

1010 Big Tree Rd, St Helena, CA 94574

(707) 963-5853

One of my favorite stories in all of Napa Valley wine, I think we’re all familiar with Trader Joe’s at this point and Benessere was the original $2 Chuck property. In the 80’s, the property went into a significant state of disrepair and the bulk wine company — Bronco Wine — bought the $2 Chuck name. They then started bottling the line of wines for Trader Joe’s. More recently, the property has had better ownership and it’s older vines and history offer an interesting take on Napa Valley fruit. Good Syrah and Sangiovese is still grown here where St Helena runs into the hills that separate it from Calistoga.

People’s Wine Revolution

1311 Pine St, Calistoga, CA 94515

(707) 360-5419

Matt Reid is the winemaker at Benessere by day, but he also makes wine at People’s Wine Revolution. He started the brand for a simple reason: not even winemakers in Napa Valley can afford to open the juice they’re making all the time.

PWR offers a range of $18 wines and some of the best value in all of California. Like many small labels, Matt’s as likely to meet you at his house for a tasting, as he is at Benessere. Fruit is sourced from a variety of sources in Northern California.

Emerson Brown Wines Napa Valley

Bud Break at Emerson Brown Winery in Napa Valley | Unique Napa Valley Wineries for Wine Tasting

Another winemaker personal project, Emerson Brown is the combined work of Vineyard 29 winemaker Keith Emerson and Round Pond winemaker Brian Brown. Both those properties are worth an appointment in their own right, but combining some of the best Cabernet fruit in Napa from Round Pond and perhaps the best gravity flow, geothermal powered production facility at Vineyard 29… makes the $75 price point seem low by Napa Valley standards.

Patel Winery

Raj Patel Winery in Napa Valley | Lesser Known Napa Valley Wineries to Visit

Raj Patel’s label that carries his name burst onto the scene a year or two ago when Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate bestowed a 94 point score on their Cabernet Sauvignon. Raj is a different kind of winery owner though, he still wasn’t exactly thrilled with the direction of the winery. So, he changed winemakers and convinced Luc Morlet to come on board and make his wine. The focus is on balance and the winery produces an outstanding Malbec, which is exceedingly rare in Napa Valley in addition to their Cabernet Sauvignon.

Morlet Family Vineyards

2825 St Helena Hwy, St Helena, CA 94574

(707) 967-8690

Best Small Napa Valley Wineries to Visit | Morlet Family Vineyards

Luc Morlet is the aforementioned winemaker now for Patel, the winery that bears his name is his family’s project.  A 4th generation winemaker who was born in Champagne, he married the woman of his dreams, who happened to be from Sacramento, and thus, ended up making wine in America. A decidedly old-world bent on Napa fruit, they make a few wines outside of the regular Napa rotation like a varietal Cabernet Franc as well as a late harvest (ie dessert) Semillon.

Attune Wines Napa Valley

Attune Wines in Napa Valley

Carneros is the odd region that exists in both Napa and Sonoma, Attune offers one of the absolute classic spots to stay, if you can fork over the $2k per night for their 5+ bedroom chateau in the middle of their vineyard it’s one of the most memorable stays imaginable.  For the rest of us, the winery itself makes only a few hundred of cases per year, selling much of their fruit to others, but the Pinot Noir is exemplary and priced fairly for the region at under $50.

Larkmead Vineyards

1100 Larkmead Ln, Calistoga, CA 94515

(707) 942-0167

Visiting Larkmeade Vineyards in Napa Valley | Boutique Napa Wineries, low key wineries in Napa Valley

Perhaps the biggest name on this list, despite numerous incredible scores from critics in vintage after vintage, Larkmead hasn’t ascended into the consciousness in the same way that larger production places like Caymus have.  That isn’t to say these wines aren’t that good, they are every bit as good as more famous Napa addresses. Stop by to taste in one of the most picturesque old farmhouses in Napa Valley.

Girard Winery

1077 Dunaweal Ln, Calistoga, CA 94515

(707) 921-2800

Girard Winery Napa Valley Yountville

Only now able to build a tasting room on their vineyard site, Girard offers a tasting room in the beautiful and restaurant-centric walkable village that is Yountville. Long one of the quality leaders for Sauvignon Blanc in the valley, well worth an hour of time as you look longingly across the street at French Laundry.

Prime Cellars Napa

10 Off the Beaten Path Wineries Napa Valley | Prime Cellars Wine Napa Valley

Winemaker and owner (along with his wife, Lisa) Ted Henry spends his days making wine at Jarvis, but Prime is their family-owned project with a small tasting room in downtown Napa. Downtown is undergoing a renaissance that doesn’t get enough press outside of the occasional earthquake and Prime offers a nice spot to enjoy an Oakville Cabernet and Chardonnay, in the style that originally made the Valley famous, while you contemplate new development and how it might affect agriculture as time goes by.

Welcome to VERANDA's Perfect Weekend , where we show you how to make the most of 48 hours in one of our favorite destinations. This month, we’re Napa-bound to relax and unwind in one of the world’s premier wine-growing regions. Renowned for its vine-covered rolling hills and the exquisite wine that’s a result of the labored landscape, Napa is the ultimate U.S. destination for wine lovers—but make no mistake, the valley has so much more to offer than delicious bottles of vino.

From a shocking number of Michelin-rated and -starred restaurants and beautiful architecture in the form of tasting rooms to lavish spas nestled among the valley’s verdant landscape and a recently re-developed downtown that cost a whopping $30 million to bring to life, Napa has it all. But be warned: With so much to do in the valley, a quick weekend trip may feel like a tease. Nevertheless, keep reading to learn how to have the perfect weekend in Napa. By the end of it, we have a sneaking suspicion that you’ll be eager to book your next visit.

<p>To make the absolute most of your weekend in Napa, we suggest getting an early start. To kick things off, check into <a href="https://aubergeresorts.com/aubergedusoleil/">Auberge Du Soleil</a>—considered to be Napa’s most luxurious resort—a Provence-inspired chateau outfitted with private maisons. </p><p>Once settled, lean into the allure of wine country with your first tasting. While some tasting rooms and wineries take walk-ins, it’s best to make reservations or set up appointments prior to arrival. Take <a href="https://www.dakotashywine.com/">Dakota Shy Winery</a>—a beautiful estate just down the road from Auberge Du Soleil—for example. The ivy-covered boutique winery—which is founded upon the ethos of hard work, commitment, and determination—welcomes visitors by appointment only. The beauty of this is that your first sips in Napa will be not only more personal, but also more educational as you’ll be able to converse freely with the winemakers about the entire process. </p><p>Another thing you may want to think about before setting foot in Napa? How you plan to get around. While Uber and Lyft are available, cars can take a while to show up and can be more difficult to find after 8 p.m. Because of this, we (along with many people we talked to) suggest booking a private driver for your time in Napa (<a href="https://nvtt.net/">Napa Valley Tours</a> is one of the top picks among both locals and tourists.). While undoubtedly expensive, the ease of getting from point A to point B and the assurance of not missing a reservation make it well worth the investment. </p>

1) Friday Afternoon

To make the absolute most of your weekend in Napa, we suggest getting an early start. To kick things off, check into Auberge Du Soleil —considered to be Napa’s most luxurious resort—a Provence-inspired chateau outfitted with private maisons.

Once settled, lean into the allure of wine country with your first tasting. While some tasting rooms and wineries take walk-ins, it’s best to make reservations or set up appointments prior to arrival. Take Dakota Shy Winery —a beautiful estate just down the road from Auberge Du Soleil—for example.

Another thing you may want to think about before setting foot in Napa? How you plan to get around. While Uber and Lyft are available, cars can take a while to show up and can be more difficult to find after 8 p.m. Because of this, we (along with many people we talked to) suggest booking a private driver for your time in Napa ( Napa Valley Tours is one of the top picks among both locals and tourists.). While undoubtedly expensive, the ease of getting from point A to point B and the assurance of not missing a reservation make it well worth the investment.

<p>After wrapping up at Dakota Shy, head to your next tasting at <a href="https://ashesdiamonds.com/">Ashes & Diamonds</a>. The boutique winery and tasting room is loved for its wine and stunning design. The bright white building and its uniformly zig-zagged roof (designed by architect <a href="https://bestorarchitecture.com/">Barbara Bestor</a>) stand out from the lush green landscape and the more rustic estates that dot it, but it's the interior that will stop you in your tracks. </p><p>Founder, Kashy Khaledi (son of Darioush Khaledi, owner of Napa’s iconic <a href="https://www.darioush.com/">Darioush Winery</a>), wanted to pay homage to Napa in the '60s, and to do so, he outfitted the space in retro mid-century modern furniture doused in pops of color. The result? A picture-perfect tasting room where you could easily spend an entire day. But remember: You only have 48 hours in Napa, it’s time to move to the next stop of the evening. </p><p>As delectable as wine and cheese pairings are (especially at Ashes & Diamonds—their sourdough focaccia is to die for), a sit-down dinner is a must in Napa. While there are many highly rated restaurants worth visiting, <a href="https://mustardsgrill.com/">Mustards Grill</a>, a Michelin-rated restaurant led by chef and wine country pioneer Cindy Pawlcyn, sits just eight minutes northwest of Ashes & Diamonds. As far as the cuisine: think upscale American with wood-fired pork chops, steaks, pastas and sandwiches that are perfect after a day of drinking.</p>

2) Friday Evening

After wrapping up at Dakota Shy, head to your next tasting at Ashes & Diamonds . The boutique winery and tasting room is loved for its wine and stunning design. The bright white building and its uniformly zig-zagged roof (designed by architect Barbara Bestor ) stand out from the lush green landscape and the more rustic estates that dot it, but it's the interior that will stop you in your tracks.

Founder, Kashy Khaledi (son of Darioush Khaledi, owner of Napa’s iconic Darioush Winery ), wanted to pay homage to Napa in the '60s, and to do so, he outfitted the space in retro mid-century modern furniture doused in pops of color. The result? A picture-perfect tasting room where you could easily spend an entire day. But remember: You only have 48 hours in Napa, it’s time to move to the next stop of the evening.

As delectable as wine and cheese pairings are (especially at Ashes & Diamonds—their sourdough focaccia is to die for), a sit-down dinner is a must in Napa. While there are many highly rated restaurants worth visiting, Mustards Grill , a Michelin-rated restaurant led by chef and wine country pioneer Cindy Pawlcyn, sits just eight minutes northwest of Ashes & Diamonds. As far as the cuisine: think upscale American with wood-fired pork chops, steaks, pastas and sandwiches that are perfect after a day of drinking.

<p>After taking your time at breakfast—trust us, with that view, you won’t want to rush—make your way to <a href="https://www.chandon.com/en-US/visit-us.html">Domaine Chandon</a>. The recently remodeled, blush-toned winery is built into the grounds to be virtually invisible from passerby. This means that once you step foot into the reimagined Chandon Home, you’re entirely surrounded by stunning landscaping, gnarly oak trees, and vast blue skies, truly making you feel like you’re in a different world altogether—and that’s before even delighting your senses with one of the brand’s iconic sparkling wines. (May we suggest the Chandon Garden Spritz, which features notes of orange mingling with a bounty of herbs and spices, or the Garden Spritz Tea, an unexpected blend of bubbles and Earl Grey tea? Of course, you can also never go wrong with By The Bay, a crisp chardonnay partially fermented in French oak barrels.) </p><p>While some people might tell you to wiggle in as many wineries as you can in a single day, we’re here to let you in on a little secret: Settling in at Domaine Chandon—whether on your own, with a partner, or with a group of friends—is all you need. The breathtaking space (designed by architect <a href="https://www.taalmanarchitecture.com/">Linda Taalman</a>) can be enjoyed via a variety of curated experiences, most of which can be booked for groups of up to 12.</p><p>Whether you choose to relax under the canopy of the garden cabana or dig into a family-style "Togetherness Lunch," take in the grandeur under the oaks or go all out with the "Ultimate Culinary Journey," you’re guaranteed to have an unforgettable experience at Domaine Chandon. (And if you want to take home a relic of your visit beyond a bottle of wine, the winery’s shop sells logo clothing, tantalizing candles in repurposed wine bottles, and even the gorgeous fluted ice buckets you’ll see all over the property.)</p>

<p>After an unbelievable afternoon of wine tastings, conversation, and moments of mindfulness amidst nature, you’re bound to have worked up an appetite. Since Domaine Chandon is but five minutes away from the main street of Yountville (Washington Street), you’ll want to head that way to partake in yet another wow-worthy meal. <a href="https://www.botteganapavalley.com/">Bottega</a> is a Michelin-starred restaurant beloved for its rustic Italian fare.</p><p>Our suggestion? Start with the burrata, which is beautifully served over tangerines, pistachio pesto, and pomegranate syrup. For your entree, order the <em>costolette di manzo</em>, a delectable braised short rib in espresso agro-dolce. And whatever you do, don’t forget a plate of pasta for the table—the fluffy and flavorful <em>ricotta gnocchi della nonna</em> is a crowd-pleaser. </p><p>If you’re not quite ready to head back to the hotel, consider zipping over to St. Helena (roughly 15 minutes away) to pop into <a href="https://goosegander.com/">Goose & Gander</a> for a cocktail you won’t soon forget. When you step inside the unassuming restaurant, you’ll be met with a moody, scholarly flair that looks more fitting of a library than a fine dining establishment. First, step into <a href="https://www.thomaskeller.com/bouchonbakeryyountville">Bouchon Bakery</a>, an iconic Thomas Keller creation known for its artisanal breads and traditional French desserts (the ham, egg, and cheese danish, chocolate croissant, and iced mocha are all a delight).
