One of the hottest musicals in this day and age is Hamilton , an entertaining historical take on the rise of American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton. The play traces the ruthless politician as he pursues honor, love, and a legacy that will influence the America in its infancy.

Hamilton is coming to Atlanta on on  Wed, Jan 31, 2024  at 7:30 p.m. The show will be at the Fox Theatre in Midtown Atlanta.

‘’Hamilton'' opened at the Fox Theatre Tuesday evening as part of the 2023-2024 Broadway in Atlanta season, and will remain on the storied stage through the end of February.

ATLANTA - Following blockbuster engagements at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre back in 2018 and again in 2021, the Broadway musical "Hamilton" is back for a third time — and fans aren’t wasting a second snatching up tickets to be in "the room where it happens."

"Hamilton" opened at the Fox Theatre on Tuesday evening as part of the 2023-2024 Broadway in Atlanta season, and will remain on the storied stage through the end of February. 

Who is starring in ‘Hamilton’ at Fox Theatre?

The current tour stars Pierre Jean Gonzalez in the title role of Alexander Hamilton and Deon’te Goodman as his rival Aaron Burr, roles originated on Broadway by Tony Award winners Lin-Manuel Miranda and Leslie Odom, Jr.

Speaking of the Tony Awards, let’s run down the list of Hamilton’s accolades: the show took home eleven Tony Awards following its Broadway opening in 2015; it also won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and a Kennedy Center Honor for its creators. Oh, and did we mention the Grammy Award for its cast album, which also happens to be the best-selling cast album in history?

Look, we could go on and on about the reasons "Hamilton" has become such a major part of pop culture, but chances are you’d be a lot happier just seeing the show and finding out for yourself.

HAMILTON to Launch #HAM4HAM Lottery for Atlanta Engagement

Hamilton will run at the Fox Theatre from January 30 through February 4.

Producer Jeffrey Seller and Regions Bank Broadway in Atlanta announced a digital lottery for HAMILTON tickets will begin in conjunction with the show’s first performance (Jan. 30) in Atlanta at the Fox Theatre.

A limited number of tickets will be available for every performance for $10 each. The lottery will first open at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 19 and Will Close at noon on Thursday, Jan. 25 for tickets to performances from Jan. 30 – Feb. 4. Subsequent digital lotteries will begin on each Friday and close the following Thursday for the upcoming week’s performances.

HOW TO ENTER

· Use the official app for HAMILTON, now available for all iOS and Android devices in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store ( http://hamiltonmusical.com/app ). · The lottery will open at 10:00 AM every Friday and Will Close for entry at 12:00 PM the next Thursday prior to the following week’s performances. · Winner notifications will be sent between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM every Thursday for the upcoming week’s performances via email and mobile push notification. Winners will have two hours to claim and pay for their ticket(s). · No purchase or payment necessary to enter or participate. · Each winning entrant may purchase up to two (2) tickets. · Only one entry per person. Repeat entries and disposable email addresses will be discarded. · Lottery tickets may be picked up at will call beginning 2 hours prior to the performance with a valid photo ID. · Lottery tickets void if resold. · All times listed are in the local time zone.

Patrons must be 18 years or older and have a valid, non-expired photo ID that matches the name used to enter. Tickets are non-transferable. STUDENT RUSH

In addition to lottery tickets, Regions Bank Broadway in Atlanta will also offer special $35 Student Rush Tickets for HAMILTON’s Atlanta engagement. College students simply need to bring valid college student identification with them to the Fox Theatre Box Office two hours prior to each performance. The Student Rush Ticket price will be valid for all performances with a two-ticket limit per student ID. Student Rush Tickets are subject to availability and will be sold from best available, which may include limited view locations. HAMILTON will play at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre Jan. 30 – Feb. 25. The performance schedule is as follows:

Jan. 30 – Feb. 18 Tuesday – Thursday 7:30 p.m. Friday 8 p.m. Saturday 2 p.m., 8 p.m. Sunday 1 p.m., 7 p.m. Feb. 20 – 25 Tuesday – Thursday 7:30 p.m. Friday 8 p.m. Saturday 2 p.m., 8 p.m. Sunday 1 p.m.

Hamilton at the Fox: How to enter the ticket lottery and maximize your chance of winning!

Hamilton is returning to Atlanta’s Fox Theatre in 2024! The shows will take place from January 30th to February 25th, 2024. NOTE: As of 1/28/24, there are still both good seats and cheap seats available.

The performances with the most number of seats available are on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. And if you look later in the run, you’ll have more choice. (Season subscribers tend to go early in a show’s run.)

Here’s everything you need to know about getting Hamilton tickets, avoiding ticket reseller prices, and playing the HAM4HAM ticket lottery to score $10 seats — details below!

There will be 32 Hamilton shows over this 4-week run, including both evening shows and weekend matinees.

Tickets are available by visiting FoxTheatre.org/Hamilton .

You can CLICK HERE to see a list of show dates that tells you how many seats remain for each performance. (The Fox has roughly 4,600 seats!)

You can shop for tickets either by seating section or by price.

HINT: If really want a good view of the stage, consider shopping for single seats that have been left stranded as the seats around them were snapped up. You can still go to the show with a friend, you just won’t be sitting next to each other.

Ticket prices for Hamilton ‘s 2024 run

It’s amazing how much prices have dropped since Hamilton first played in Atlanta in 2019!

You can now get a premium seat for about the same price you would have paid for a mediocre seat back then.

Prices range from $50 for a handful of seats with a limited view to $241 for premium seats — and this includes the hefty fees. Most seats will have a price somewhere between that. Back in 2019, premium seats were close to $800 once some pretty large fees were added.

There will also be a ticket lottery for forty (40) $10 seats for all performances. See our section below on how to play the lottery, and how to maximize your chances of winning.

Student Rush Tickets

In addition to lottery tickets, Broadway in Atlanta will also offer special $35 Student Rush Tickets for Hamilton.

To try for Rush Tickets, college students need to come to the Fox Theatre Box Office two hours prior to each performance — with a valid student ID .

The Student Rush Ticket price will be valid for all performances with a two-ticket limit per student ID. Student Rush Tickets are subject to availability and will be sold from best available, which may include limited view locations. HINT: CLICK HERE to see how many seats are left for each performance, and try for Student Rush tickets on a date with the widest availability.  

The H amilton ticket lottery

The lottery will first open at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 19th and will close at noon on Thursday, Jan. 25 for tickets to performances from Jan. 30th through Feb. 4th.

Subsequent digital lotteries will begin on each Friday and close the following Thursday for the upcoming week’s performances.

The Ham4Ham lottery is open to anyone over 18. Winners are allowed to purchase up to two tickets for just $10 each . That’s where the name comes from — you hand over a Hamilton (a ten-dollar bill) for a Hamilton ticket.

There are 40 seats per show reserved for lottery winners . (You decide when you enter whether to claim one or two tickets. Assuming everyone will choose two tickets, there will only be 20 winners for each lottery.)

The procedure for the lottery has changed in recent years. You can now enter for every performance in a week all at once, instead of having to return every day to enter for one show at a time.

If you win the ticket lottery, you’ll be notified via email and/or push notifications from the app. You have two hours to claim your tickets and pay for them. Again, you can claim up to two tickets at $10 each.

You’ll claim the tickets at Will Call on the day of the show. Note that you must have a valid, non-expired photo ID that matches the name you used to enter — and your tickets are non-transferable. You can not sell them.

There are a few ways to enter the lottery: • Enter through the official Hamilton app (available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store) • Enter online through a browser at hamiltonmusical.com/lottery • Enter via Lucky Seat ( www.luckyseat.com — then pick Atlanta)

Tips for winning the HAM4HAM ticket lottery

Don’t throw away your shot! We recommend doing everything possible to maximize your chance of winning the daily ticket lottery.

Here are our tips:

• Enter for every performance without fail. In the words of Hamilton, You don’t get a win unless you play in the game.
• Get the Hamilton phone app — and enable notifications. You’ll get a reminder when the lottery opens (see mobile screenshot, below).
• Stop what you’re doing when you get the reminder. Just enter the lottery, before it slips your mind.
• Pay attention to your email and the phone app on Thursdays — if you win, you’ll be notified between noon and 4 p.m. and you have to claim your tickets immediately.
• Don’t forget about the matinees. On Saturdays and Sundays, there are two shows — and you may have to enter each one separately.
• Make a pact with a pal.  You each enter every lottery for two tickets, and you take each other to the show if one of you wins. In the words of Burr, Grab a friend, that’s your second.
