Karnataka, as the tagline says ‘One state Many Worlds’ is a perfect destination for every traveller. The remarkable heritage and history of the state attract history lovers, travellers, students, and all those who admire the magnificent architecture of the times. The Northern Karnataka sector has always been very special in terms of tourism because of the presence of UNESCO Heritage sites. Badami – Aihole- Pattadakal – Hampi is on a must-to-do list for every tourist visiting Karnataka.

Located in the heart of Vijayanagara District, which once was the capital of the Vijayanagara Empire, Hampi was its capital. Vijayanagara was part of Deccan (now Hyderabad) and dominated all of Southern India and was probably the strongest empire in the Indian subcontinent. Vijayanagara Empire is considered to have been a golden age of culture and learning.

A 4 days itinerary can be planned to keep in mind the distance travelled from Bangalore. One day each at Aihole- Pattadakal, Hampi, and Badami is enough. But if you wish to study the heritage sites deeper, you can choose to stay a little longer.

Day 1 – Hampi

Hampi Elephant Stable

The iconic Chariot, the image of which can be seen on a 50 rupee note in Indian Currency, needs no introduction. A vast area of ruins, a live temple, a Lotus temple, and many more heritage sites in the compound makes Hampi the most visited monument in Karnataka. The glorious capital of the Vijayanagara Empire, Hampi is a UNESCO World Heritage site. A must-do destination, Hampi is famous for its historic significance, heritage, temples, ruins, and exquisite craftsmanship. The major attractions at Hampi include Virupaksha Temple, Ugranarsimha Vigraha, Lotus Palace, Hampi Bazaar, Vittala Temple, and much more. The 7th century Virupaksha Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva with gigantic Gopuram is the highlight of Hampi. The temple is still active and the pilgrims offer prayers to their deity. The other attractions include Sasive Kalu Ganesha, Kadale Kalu Ganesha, Anegundi, Vijaya Vittala Temple, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee Zoological Park.

Day 2 – Aihole

Vastuchitra Aihole

The next nearest destination to be planned can be Aihole. Just 140 km away from Hampi, Aihole takes about 2 and a half hours to reach by road. A cluster of around 120 temples from the 4th century AD, Aihole is a historic site along the Malaprabha river valley in Northern Karnataka. Aihole is a delight to visit for those interested in history, archaeology, architecture, heritage, and ancient temples. The most popular and the face of Aihole is the Durga Temple. A cluster of temples mainly comprises Hindu, Jain, and Buddhist temples. The Durga temple complex also has an art gallery and an archaeological Museum which should not be missed. There is a collection of exquisite antiques excavated from the region. Contrary to its name, Lad Khan Temple showcases the iconography from Shaiva, Vaishnava, and Shakti or Durga traditions of Hinduism. Also known as the ‘cradle of Indian Rock Architecture’, Aihole was the first capital of Chalukyas, who ruled the north Karnataka region. The temples are now being conserved and protected by the Archaeology Survey of India. A 6th-century rock-cut Ravana Phadi Cave that houses Shiva and Parvathi is another attraction not to be missed. The caves consist of intricate craftsmanship featuring Lord Shiva, Parvathi, Ganesha, and Lord Vishnu. The other famous temples are Garudagudi, Chakragudi, Ambigaragudi, Rachigudi, Kuntigudi, Hallibasappa Gudi, Badigargudi, Trimbakeshwar temple, Mallikarjuna Temple, and Jyotirlinga Temple.

Day 3- Pattadakal

Just 13 km away from Aihole Pattadakal takes about 20 minutes to reach. A UNESCO World Heritage site from the 7th and 8th centuries consist of Hindu and Jain temples. Unique craftsmanship depicts both the North and South Indian styles of architecture. Chalukyas used Pattadakal for coronation ceremonies. One of the main attractions at Pattadakal is Virupaksha Temple. Constructed by queen Lokamahadevi in the 8th century AD to celebrate her husband and King Vikramaditya’s victory over Pallavas. Unparalleled craftsmanship at Virupaksha temple showcases the sculptures of Ugra Narshimha and Nataraja. The other popular temples in the complex are Papanatha temple, Galaganatha Temple, Sangameshwara temple, Chandrashekara temple, Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Mallikarjuna Temple, Jambu Lingeshwara Temple, and Kadasiddeshwar Temple. One of the most attractive events at Pattadakal is the Pattadakal Festival . A mesmerizing amalgamation of music and dance with Pattadakal temples in the backdrop makes the festival a visual treat for the spectators.

Day 4- Badami

Formerly known as Vatapi and serving as the capital of Chalukyas, Badami was constructed between the 6th and 8th centuries. Located in the district Bagalkote headquarters, Badami invites tourists, travellers, researchers, and all those who love history and heritage for its sandstone cave temples and carvings. Badami cave temple complex is home to a Jain temple and three Hindu temples. The caves at Badami are based on themes depicting, Tandava Dance by lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, and his carnations. The stunning and mesmerizing backdrop of Agastya Lake and cave temple landscapes, these monuments are of great historical importance and invite photography enthusiasts. Another attraction not to be missed near Badami is the Bhutanatha temple complex. Just a kilometre away from the main Badami cave temples, these clusters of sandstone shrines were built over a period from the 7th to 11th century AD.

How to Reach

The Northern Karnataka Circuit comprising Hampi, Aihole, Pattadakal, and Badami can be best covered by road. Keeping the base station as Hampi, the other places of interest are within the 150 km range.

Hampi or Badami can be best reached by air either from Bangalore or Mangalore. Bangalore International Airport is 340 km from Hampi and Mangalore International airport is 460 km from Badami.

Hampi and Badami are connected via rail from all the major towns of Karnataka. For the trains coming from all other major towns of India, Guntakal is the major rail junction for changing the trains. Hospete is the station to reach Hampi.

The best and easiest way to reach these UNESCO Heritage sites is by road. The state-run transport buses ply from most of the major bus- stations in Karnataka. City cabs are also available at most of these locations. The nearest bus station is Hospete from where Hampi is just 12 km away and can be reached by local auto rickshaw.

Travel Tips

1. The weather in North Karnataka is usually warm and dry. However, it is cooler during winter. The best time to visit these heritage sites is between November to February. 2. Carry a layer of clothing for winter evenings. 3. Dress appropriately to respect the local traditions and beliefs. 4. Indulge in local / North Karnataka food like Jowar roti meals at local restaurants or homestays. 5. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes as there is a lot of walking involved. 6. Wear sunscreen and a sun hat. During the day sun can be a little harsh. 7. The best time to visit temples and other monuments is early morning or late evening hours. 8. Hospete or Hampi is the biggest town, hence most of the star-category hotels are available in Hampi and around. 9. Most of the temples are open from 7 am to 6 pm. ( kindly check the local timings before visiting the individual temples).

Other Places of Interest

While visiting the renowned UNESCO World Heritage sites, there are many other attractions or places of interest that one must incorporate into their itinerary. Chitradurga Fort is one of the architectural and engineering marvels of its time. Vani Vilas Sagar Dam is built across the river Vedavathi and is often visited along with Chitradurga Fort. Mahakuta trek is one of the other major attractions in the area, especially for adventure seekers. Chalukya Utsava : An annual cultural and heritage festival celebrated in Badami and Aihole, usually, in February every year is one of the other highlights. The musical festival also showcases sports games and competitions, wrestling competitions, stunt shows, and art exhibitions. Mahakoota Temples just 6 km away from Badami, Mahakoota temples were built between the 6th and 8th centuries. Lord Shiva temples like Mahakuteshwara temple, Ardhanareeshwara, and others temples are worth visiting.

ಸ್ಥಗಿತದ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದಾಗಿ ಅಥವಾ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಯ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ ಮೀರಿದ ಕಾರಣಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಪ್ರವಾಸಗಳನ್ನು ರದ್ದುಗೊಳಿಸಿದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಗಮವು ಯಾವುದೇ ಹೊಣೆಗಾರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ, ಯಾವುದೇ ಪರ್ಯಾಯ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡದಿದ್ದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಾನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ ಶುಲ್ಕವನ್ನು ಮರುಪಾವತಿ ಮಾಡಲು ಅನುಮತಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಪ್ರವಾಸದ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಯ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ, ಹಠಾತ್ ಅನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿತ ಘಟನೆಗಳ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದಾಗಿ ಯಾವುದೇ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರೆ, ಕೆಎಸ್‌ಟಿಡಿಸಿ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರನಾಗಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

ಲಗೇಜ್ / ಬ್ಯಾಗೇಜ್ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಗರ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ವಸ್ತುಗಳಿಗೆ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರನಾಗಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. 4. ಪ್ರವಾಸೋದ್ಯಮಿಗಳುತಮ್ಮ ಸಾಮಾನು / ಸಂಬಂಧಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಕಾಳಜಿ ವಹಿಸುವಂತೆ ಕೋರಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಕಾಯ್ದಿರಿಸಿದ ಸೀಟುಗಳ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ 12 ಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಕಡಿಮೆಯಿದ್ದರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅಂತಹ ಯಾವುದೇ ಕಾರಣಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಪ್ರವಾಸವನ್ನು ರದ್ದುಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಹಕ್ಕನ್ನು ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ ಹೊಂದಿದೆ.
ಟಿಕೆಟ್ ನಿರ್ದಿಷ್ಟ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾನ್ಯವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
5 ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮೇಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಪೂರ್ಣ ಶುಲ್ಕ ವಿಧಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. 5 ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಕಡಿಮೆ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಸೀಟುಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. (ವಯಸ್ಸಿನ ಪುರಾವೆಅಗತ್ಯವಿದೆ )
ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರು 15 ನಿಮಿಷಗಳ ಮುಂಚಿತವಾಗಿ ವರದಿ ಮಾಡಲು ಕೋರಲಾಗಿದೆ. ತಡವಾಗಿ ಬರುವ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರಿಗಾಗಿ ಬಸ್ ಕಾಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
ಕೋಚ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಧೂಮಪಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಮದ್ಯ ಸೇವನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುನಿಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ನಿಷೇಧಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. 10. ಸರ್ಕಾರವನ್ನುಹೊರತುಪಡಿಸಿ ಇತರರಿಂದ ಲೇಖನಗಳನ್ನು ಖರೀದಿಸುವುದು. ಅಂಗಡಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮದೇ ಆದ ಅಪಾಯದಲ್ಲಿದೆ.

ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಯನ್ನು ಟಿಪ್ಪಿಂಗ್ ಮಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುನಿಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ನಿಷೇಧಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಬಿಎಚ್‌ಎಸ್ ಟ್ರಿಪ್ ಹೊರತುಪಡಿಸಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೆಎಸ್‌ಟಿಡಿಸಿ ಪಾವತಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

24 ಗಂಟೆಗಳ ಒಳಗೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಣವನ್ನು ಮುಂದೂಡಲಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಒಂದು ಬಾರಿಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿದ / ಮುಂದೂಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಟಿಕೆಟ್ ರದ್ದತಿಗೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಮರುಪಾವತಿ ಇಲ್ಲ .
ಸುಂಕವು ಯಾವುದೇ ಮುನ್ಸೂಚನೆಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಗೆ ಒಳಪಟ್ಟಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
ವಸತಿ ಕೊಠಡಿಗಳ ಲಭ್ಯತೆಗೆ ಒಳಪಟ್ಟಿರುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪೂರ್ವ ಸೂಚನೆ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವು ಬದಲಾವಣೆಗೆ ಒಳಪಟ್ಟಿರುತ್ತವೆ .

ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಯು ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರನಾಗಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಮತ್ತು ಯಾವುದೇ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳು, ನಷ್ಟಗಳು, ಹಾನಿಗಳು, ಅನಾನುಕೂಲತೆ, ಸಂತೋಷದ ನಷ್ಟ, ಅಸಮಾಧಾನ, ನಿರಾಶೆ, ಯಾತನೆ ಅಥವಾ ಹತಾಶೆಯಿಂದ ಉಂಟಾಗುವ ಯಾವುದೇ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳು, ನಷ್ಟಗಳು, ಹಾನಿಗಳು, ವೆಚ್ಚಗಳು ಅಥವಾ ಖರ್ಚುಗಳ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ವಹಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅಥವಾ ಟೂರ್ ಆಪರೇಟರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಅದರ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರತುಪಡಿಸಿ ಯಾವುದೇ ಪಕ್ಷವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡುವುದು.

DAY 01: ARRIVE HAMPI

Morning trip starts from Bangalore / Hyderabad. Pickup from hotel, Residence, Airport, Bus Terminus, Railway station or any other location as customer wish and drive to Hampi about 370 Km. On Arrival check into the Hotel. Overnight stay in Hampi.

DAY 02: HAMPI SIGHTSEEING

After Breakfast, proceed for Hampi sightseeing the Statue Of Ugra Narasimha is one of the most important & the finest existing samples of the Vijayanagara style of architecture, Queens Bath was used as the private bathing chamber of the king and his queens, Lotus Palace was for royal ladies of those times to mingle around and enjoy recreational activities, Matunga Hill is the highest point in Hampi, hilltop which is the best spot to get an aerial view of Hampi, Elephant Stables was used to provide shelter for the royal elephants of the Vijayanagara Empire, Anjeyanadri Hill is the birth place of Lord Hanuman. Overnight stay in Hampi.

DAY 03: HAMPI SIGHTSEEING

After Breakfast, proceed to visit Vithala Temple Complex has many halls, shrines and pavilions located inside it such as Devi shrine,Maha Mantapa, Ranga Mantapa, Kalyana Mantapa, Utsava Mantapa & the famous Stone Chariot, Tungabhadra River can be toured with the excellent round boats or Coracle. There are numerous shrines on the banks of the river, Hazara Rama Temple was the private temple of the kings and the royal family of Vijayanagara, Vijaya Vitthala Temple is considered to be one of the largest & known for its Beautiful architecture and Excellent craftsmanship, Sasivekalu Ganesha Temple a 8 feet huge statue of Lord Ganesha, carved out of a single block of rock. & Stepped Tank has a great architectural beauty & believed that this tank was used for religious purposes. Overnight stay in Hampi.

DAY 04: HAMPI – KUDALASANGAMA – AIHOLE – PATTADAKAL – BADAMI

After Breakfast, Checkout & proceed to Badami about 140 Km, En Route visit Kudalasangama which is about 140 Km, the holy Samadhi of Basavanna, the founder of the Lingayat Dharma, Then proceed to visit Aihole, about 35 Km, was a centre of architectural experiments by several gifted artisans which has more than 125 beautifully crafted temples in and around it. & visit Pattadakal about 15 Km, There are 10 major temples in Pattadakal dedicated to Lord Shiva, Virupaksha Temple is the largest temple in Pattadakal & proceed to Badami about 23 Km, check in to the hotel and overnight stay in Badami.

DAY 05: BADAMI SIGHTSEEING

After Breakfast, proceed to visit Banashankari Temple dedicated to Goddess Parvati which is also called as Vanashankari. Then visit Mahakuta there are more than two dozen Shiva Temples in Mahakuta temple complex surrounding natural attractive spring fed tank known as Vishnu Pushkarini, or Papavinasa Tirth. Post lunch visit Badami cave temples is group of 4 cave temples carved out of the hill opposite Badami fort, Three among the four cave temples are dedicated to deities of Hinduism and one temple is dedicated to Jainism. Then visit Badami fort which has large granaries, a huge underground chamber, carved temples, watch towers and other several other impressive structures. Overnight stay in Badami.

DAY 06: BADAMI – BANGALORE

After breakfast, the day is free at leisure to do your own activities in and around Badami, Later you will be transferred to your Residence, Airport, Bus Terminus or Railway Station for your onward journey.

Arrive Bus stand of Hospet and transfer to the hotel. Check-in at the hotel. Proceed on a full-day Hampi sightseeing. Visit Shri Virupaksha Temple, the Statue of Lakshmi Narasimha, Sri Krishna Temple, and Shri Vijayavitthala Temple. This wonderful monument is dedicated to Lord Vitthala or Lord Vishnu.

Day-02: Hampi to Badami (140 kilometers)

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed on a full-day Hampi sightseeing tour. Visit Kings Palace, Lotus Mahal, Royal Palace remains pushkarni, and Elephant Stables. By 4 PM transfer to Badami.

Departure from Mumbai

Departure by AC Volvo or AC sleeper coach from Sion at 9.00 p.m. VRL coaches also leave from Borivali (near Gokul) via Andheri. VRL coaches from Pune leave at 9.30 p.m. & 10.15 p.m. People traveling by train can board 11139 CSMT Gadag Express at 9:20 PM, from Dadar at 9:30 PM, or from Thane at 9:53 PM. Gadag / Hosapete

People arriving by train to Gadag will proceed to Hosapete by Anubhav's own mini coach. Enroute enjoy the beautiful sunflower and red chilli fields. People coming by bus will reach Hosapete directly Check-in in the hotel. Lunch at Hosapete, After some rest, spend the evening by enjoying the gardens of the Tungabhadra dam area. Dinner and overnight stay in Hosapete.

Hosapete-Hampi-Hosapete

After breakfast proceed to Hampi. On this day we would explore the ancient temples and ruins of Hampi. After a morning of exploration, we would return for lunch in Hampi and then head back to explore some more of the beautiful rock architecture. Free time in the evening. Overnight in Hosapete.

Hosapete-Badami via Gajendragad

After a leisurely breakfast proceed for the remaining sightseeing of Hampi. Lunch in the hotel and check out and proceed to Badami via Gajendragad. Arrival in Badami late in evening. Overnight stay at Badami.

After breakfast pass through the Jowar, Corn and Sugarcane fields to arrive in the breathtaking ruins of Aihole and Patadkallu. Back to the hotel for lunch. After Lunch, proceed to visit Badami caves and Shakambari Temple. Back to hotel late in the evening. Night stay at Badami.

Badami-Vijayapura (Vijapur)

After breakfast proceed to Ilkal village for shopping Ilkal sarees. Visit Sangameshwar temple and holy samadhi at Basaveshwara, the confluence of three rivers of Krishna, Malaprabha & Ghataprabha at Kudal Sangam. Post lunch visit the mighty Almatti dam on the river Krishna and the surrounding beautiful garden. Proceed to Vijayapura, and check in the hotel.

After breakfast visit Ibrahim Roza, Narsoba Temple & Mallik-E- Maidan tope. Thereafter have lunch. Post lunch visit Shivagiri, Jumma Masjid & Jodghumat then visit Vijayapura market. Dinner and night stay at Vijayapura.

Vijayapura-Home town

Early morning at 6.30 a.m. proceeds to visit the grand and beautiful Gol Gumbaz, where the tomb of Mohammad Adil Shah along with his family lies. The mighty dome is breathtaking where inside even a single whisper is magnified 10 times to produce an amazing echo. After this experience back to the hotel for breakfast. After this, visit the Jumma Masjid. After lunch proceed to Vijayapura station to board Gadag-CSMT Express (11140)/ VRL coaches to Pune & Mumbai. Hampi Hills, until unknown for its wines or even as a wine producing region, is unique in many aspects. The terroir consists of iron-rich schist type soils, receives minimal rainfall and is cool during nights, especially at the time of ripening. Founding Directors Krishna Prasad and Uma Chigurupati have spared no expense in ensuring the unique terroir expresses itself through their wines. They have used regulated deficit irrigation to make up for the low rainfall and an organic specific fertigation regime. Driving their effort to ensure that they reap the best of terroir, is their firm belief that ‘the best fertiliser for the vineyard are the owners’ footsteps’.

This guided wine tour, of around 3 hours, begins at around 9.00 AM with a visit to the vineyards where the history of wine cultivation in brief would be shared.
After strolling through rows of grape-bearing vines, you will witness the entire process of wine-making–crushing of grapes(Cultivation season September last week to December 1st week) to final labeling and packaging.
You would next head into the barrel room, setup with real oak barrels, where ageing of premium wine is done.

The road journey from Leh to Nubra Valley passes over Khardung La (The Highest Motorable Road In The World) at 5,602 Mtrs / 18,390 Ft, around 39 km from Leh. Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldumra or the valley of flowers. The average altitude of the valley is 10,000 Ft. above sea level. Upon arrival in Nubra we check in at our Camp / Hotel in Hunder for Overnight stay. In the evening you can walk around the tiny villages to see how the locals live in this part of the world. Day-4 Nubra Valley – Leh (120 Kms / 4 – 5 Hrs) After an early breakfast we check out from the Camp and you can have opportunity to ride on a Bactrian camel (double humped) amidst the sand dunes of this high altitude desert with snow capped mountains on the horizon. On the return stop at Diskit which is the headquarter town of Nubra Valley. Stroll around the bazaar observing the shops and local people going about their daily chores. Later we drive back to Leh in the late afternoon via Khardungla Top. On arrival at Leh you will check in to your Hotel. In the afternoon you can rest and relax.

Day-5 Leh to Pangong Lake (140 kms / 4 - 5 Hrs – One Way) After an early breakfast we leave for Pangong Lake enroute visiting Shey Palace, The ancient capital of Ladakh &3 Idiots Rancho School & further 5 Kms drive through a picturesque landscape to reach Thiksey an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village. After visiting above two monasteries we drive further towards Changla Pass 5486 Mtrs and drive down to the village of Tangtse, where you can relax for a cup of tea. Leaving Tangtse for Pangong you pass through few small villages of Changthang and finally you can have a sudden view of the Pangong lake situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m). This famous blue brackish Lake of Pangong is 5/6 Kms wide and over 133 Kms long with half of its running the other side of the "Indo China Border". Upon arrival we check in at our Camp near Pangong lake. Dinner & Overnight at the Camp.

Day-6 Pangong Lake To Leh (140 Kms / 6 Hrs) Morning at leisure to explore the beauty of lake and later we drive back to leh enroute visiting Hemis Gompa, the largest monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism. In the evening you can stroll around the market place for some last minute souvenir shopping. Overnight at Leh.

Day-7 Leh To Sham Valley (92 Kms / 4 Hrs) After breakfast you drive downstream along the River Indus on Leh – Kargil Highway. Enroute visit Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, Magnetic Hill and picturesque landscape of the Confluence of the Indus and Zanskar River. Visit the Likir Monastery, Likir is one of the most active monasteries in the region. As you drive up to the monastery a recently installed colossal gilded image of the Maitreya out in the open is one of the most impressive sights in Ladakh. Drive along through Ridzong Monastery. After visiting above places we drive further and check in at our camp / hotel.

Day 4 - Gulmarg to Pahalgam (138.4 km/3 hours) In the early morning, begin your journey to Pahalgam, the valley of shepherds. En route, visit the Awantipora ruins, an 1100-year-old temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Arrive in Pahalgam and enjoy the beauty of nature. You can also take a walk to Baisaren, which is located about 2 km from Pahalgam. Baisaren, a small village amidst pine and fir forest, is a Mini Switzerland. Relax for a while on the undulating meadow of Baisaran. Head to the Aru Valley and Chandanwari by car at your own cost. The picturesque route to Aru Valley is filled with plenty of campsites. This village is the starting point of treks to the Kolahoi Glacier. You can witness Hajan and Betaab Valley on the way to Chandanwari. Return to the hotel in Pahalgam in the evening and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 5 - Pahalgam to Srinagar (90 km/2 hours) After breakfast, head to Srinagar and visit some famous tourist attractions. Later, take a houseboat for a comfortable night stay.

Day 01 : bangalore.

Day 05 : Badami - Vijayapur (Bijapur)
