The whole tour from pick up to drop of at the airport went smoothly, with the best accommodations, restaurants, that accommodated my vegan requests, tour guides: Sennur, Suleyman and Arzu. I have been doing small group tours all over the world but this was my best ever. From the moment I requested information, to the reservation moment, all the communications were clear and as needed. Elif in the office was always helpful with direct whatsapp messages. My last minute Cappadocia Hot air Balloon tour was an unforgettable experience. Our experience in istanbul was enhanced by Sennur. She was my best tour guide ever. Besides being very knowledgeable, she made our small group became a family. We spend the day touring and she stayed to have dinner with us and walk around town showing sights not on the tour. We made friends for life. We arrived in Istanbul three days earlier than the reservation that I had booked with Soujurn. This was due to a cruise ship itinerary change. I had neglected to notify Soujurn about this change. We got off the ship and of course, there was no one there to meet us. I reached out on WhatsApp to Ferruh, the guide that had been assigned to us, not yet knowing the mistake I had made. Once I realized my error, I thought our day in Istanbul was ruined. And here is where Soujurn shined. Ferruh managed to secure a van to transport our group of six and meet us at the shipport in about 45 minutes! That was incredible and I will be forever grateful. In addition to making this arrangement on so short notice, Ferruh is an amazing guide. She is very knowledgeable and accommodating. We were able to see the key sites and benefit from her insights and descriptions. There is no doubt in my mind that I will book all my excursions with Sojourn the next time I am in Turkey. After consulting with another tour operator, we settled with Sojourn for a one week private tour to Cappadocia and Istanbul. Sojourn was quick to reply to our request and to help us customize our trip. They kept in touch throughout the process, prior to our arrival and during our travels. All went smoothly from private transfers, domestic flights, daily private drivers and top notch guides and accommodations. We cannot say enough about both of our guides. They are highly educated, tour guide certified, knowlegeable, extremely personable and friendly. Our visits would not have been as enriching without them. From the booking process forward, every aspect of the trip was excellent. Communication was first rate every step of the way as were the hotels, the food and most especially the guides. Sait in Istanbul was knowledgable about history, architecture, and food. He was in tune with what we wanted to see and made sure our visit was memorable. Likewise, Suleyman in Cappadocia was personable, well informed and an excellent guide. He was flexible when our flight was delayed and adjusted our time to get the most out of it.
