Avenged Sevenfold will hit the US and Canada next spring for the next leg of their Life Is But A Dream...world tour, with Poppy and Sullivan King in tow

Avenged Sevenfold have announced the latest leg of their North American tour in honour of this year's critically lauded but fanbase-dividing eighth studio album, Life Is But A Dream ... The Cali metal heavyweights will kick off their next run of dates in Buffalo, New York on March 6, before heading to various cities across the US and Canada, finally ending up in Newark, New Jersey on March 31. Support across most dates will come from alt pop icon Poppy and Sullivan King.

The March tour precedes a busy summer for the band, who will be hitting the European festival circuit hard in June. Currently scheduled are appearances at Germany's Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park, Austria's Nova Rock, the UK's Download Festival, Denmark's Copenhell, Belgium's Graspop Metal Meeting, Portugal's Evil Live and France's Hellfest, who announced their stacked 2024 lineup earlier today .

Life Is But A Dream... was released on June second of this year, its progressive, fiercely experimental sound causing passionate reactions from both ends of the spectrum from Avenged Sevenfold's fanbase. Earlier this year , Avenged frontman M. Shadows describes the band's amusement at some of the more extreme responses to the new material that he had read online.

“They’re like, ‘That is fucking shit! These guys forgot how to write a song! Why would you put a solo at the end?’” he laughed. “We were just laughing. That was more fun to us than someone saying, ‘Oh, this is great.’ We always gear towards a little bit of ruffling feathers.”

Critics generally adored the record, however; in a glowing 9/10 review for Metal Hammer , Dave Everley wrote: "Avenged Sevenfold have scaled the mountain and looked out over all that surrounds them, then plunged headfirst into the void, not knowing where, when or even if they’ll land. What kind of madness is this? The very best kind."

That show, in SLC Utah, was phenomenal. They're just amazing people who worked so hard and got where they deserve to be. I enjoyed watching the result of their hard work, and I plan to watch more shows that come around. I want to see them succeed more and accomplish more stuff in the future. They're such great people, amazing artists, great role models for aspiring musicians everywhere, and (by the twitter videos) they're amazing parents. I'll always be a death bat, not only for their music but for them as human beings. God Damn.

Well, I'm not sure which show I'm supposed to review, so I'll do both. I saw them on Friday at shoreline amphitheater and then on Monday at golden one center. For the 1st show we had lawn tickets, it was still good. This was my 6th time seeing them. It was my 13 year old son's 1st concert. They always put on an excellent show.

Mondays show was the best one I've been to,my 7th time seeing them , because we were right up front on the floor. It was awesome. The crowd gets pretty aggressive, but I already knew that. I ended up being pulled out from security for trying to break up a fight, so that wasn't fun, but nothing against the band, they rocked.

What an amazing live performance. They kept the audience engaged the entire time. I'm not their biggest fan but there was a few songs that I wish had been on the set list that weren't. Then again, that's just my preference. Regardless, Matt has an amazing voice and I was blown away. The only thing that bothered me was that the sound mix seemed a bit off which sucks because that's obviously not the band's fault. At first the bass was so low that anytime the guitars started playing harmonies the sound got really thin/empty. Also I thought that Synyster was playing sloppily (which I would have been extremely surprised if that was the case) because some parts in his solos seemed inaudible but I finally realized that the guitars were getting smothered in the mix. I only notice this stuff because I play in a band and do live shows myself so it probably didn't bother too many people besides me. Overall, 10/10 live performance, and I would totally go see them again. (Hopefully at another venue)

Following the announcement of two unique one-night-only arena shows in New York and Los Angeles, multi-platinum headliners and famed heavy metal rock group AVENGED SEVENFOLD have revealed the details of an extensive "Life Is But A Dream…" North American tour, featuring support from ALEXISONFIRE . Produced by Live Nation , the first leg includes 13 cities across the U.S. and Canada, such as Mansfield, Québec City, Tinley Park, Calgary, and more. Additional cities and dates will be announced soon.

The announcement of leg one is just one piece of recent exciting news for AVENGED SEVENFOLD as they also just released their first single in seven years, "Nobody" , and revealed their new album "Life Is But A Dream…" , set to arrive on June 2 via Warner .

Tickets will be available starting with a Deathbats Club presale beginning now through Tuesday, March 28 at 3 p.m. ET. Additional presales will run throughout the week. The general on sale will start Thursday, March 30 at 10 a.m. local time on LiveNation.com.

Deathbats Club members can request tickets first from now through Tuesday, March 28 at 3 p.m. ET using Ticketmaster 's new Token-Gated Sales platform at avengedsevenfold.io. Deathbats Club is a collection of 10,000 unique Deathbat NFTs, made popular by AVENGED SEVENFOLD , flying around the Ethereum blockchain. "Nobody" , AVENGED SEVENFOLD 's first official music release since their 2016 album "The Stage" , delivers nearly six minutes of tension, groove, and dynamics. The song twists and turns beyond conventional songwriting and leans in on discomfort before letting go. The beautifully crafted stop-motion music video, which unfolds like a short film, is a stunning and powerful journey exploring the dichotomy between life and death, love and war, and follows the main character through an existential crisis. Stop motion is a handmade labor of love, often taking 90 minutes just to capture only two seconds of footage.

The heavy metal heroes have announced their highly-anticipated full-length tour for summer 2023, which marks their first set of shows in over five years. Today, multi-platinum headliners and famed heavy metal rock group Avenged Sevenfold have announced the second leg of their extensive Life is But A Dream… North American tour – featuring support from Falling In Reverse . Produced by Live Nation, leg two includes stops in Nashville, Denver, Austin, and more before concluding at Fort Worth’s Dickies Arena on October 15. Fans will have the opportunity to hear the group’s first single in seven years, “ Nobody ”,  and their new album Life is But A Dream … for the first time live during the 30 show outing. 

The first leg with support from Alexisonfire includes thirteen cities across the U.S. and Canada, such as Mansfield, Québec City, Tinley Park, Calgary, and more. The group kicks off their 2023 solo touring run with two unique one night only arena shows in New York and Los Angeles this June.  

TICKETS:   Tickets will be available for the newly announced shows starting with a Deathbats Club and TicketPass presale (details below) beginning now through Wednesday, April 12 at 3 pm ET. Additional presales will run throughout the week ahead of the general on sale beginning on Friday, April 14 at 10AM Local Time on LiveNation.com . Avenged Sevenfold have announced a third leg of their Life Is but a Dream... tour. The Deathbat Crew will be taking their new album on the road in 2024, and they'll be joined by Poppy and Sullivan King.

The North American trek kicks off March 6th in Buffalo, New York, and will spend the next month hitting cities in the Midwest and on the East Coast before wrapping up in Newark on March 31st .

The tour follows A7X's summer trek throughout Canada and their fall journey with Falling in Reverse that mostly focused on the West Coast.

Tickets for the 2024 dates go on sale this Friday December 1st at 10 a.m. local time. See the full list of dates below.

Avenged Sevenfold announce 2024 North American tour with Poppy and Sullivan King

Avenged Sevenfold are taking Life Is But A Dream… back out across North America in March, with support coming from Poppy and Sullivan King.

Avenged Sevenfold have announced a spring 2024 tour of North America – the third leg of their Life Is But A Dream… run.

The metal heroes will be joined by a very cool supporting cast of Poppy and Sullivan King for these March shows. General sale tickets are available from this Friday, December 1 at 10am, though the band’s Deathbats Club and TicketPass system will be going live from today (Tuesday, November 28) at 10pm ET.

“TicketPass will by no means cost anyone any money, you won’t have to get involved in cryptocurrency, you won’t have to do any of these things that people feel uncomfortable with, and the token that we’re going to be using is on the Polygon network – an environmentally-friendly blockchain,” explains frontman M. Shadows. “We want to roll something out to the rest of our fanbase without them having to opt into a full fan club experience that is strictly for tickets and ensuring our fans get the best tickets they desire first.

“At the end of the day, we want to know your feedback on if this worked well for you, and we will take notes and mold this for you. Look at this as a frequent flier miles type of program – with Avenged Sevenfold, we will be breaking these passes into ‘tiers’ over time and rewarding the people who have been participating the most in our A7X ecosystem (with merchandise, listening habits, music consumption, live events, and other metrics).”

Avenged Sevenfold Kick Off 2024 ‘Life Is But a Dream’ Tour – Setlist, Photos + Video

Avenged Sevenfold have officially started their 2024 touring with a kickoff show Wednesday night (March 6) at Buffalo's Keybank Center.

Opening night brought a few surprises, including two live debuts as well as three additional songs that hadn't been performed by the band in quite some time.

The group used their opening night to give "Roman Sky" its live debut about midway through the band's set. Then, to finish out the evening, they performed the song "Cosmic" live for the first time as their encore.

In addition, "Shepherd of Fire" found its way into the set for the first time since 2018, and the group went even deeper trotting out "Blinded in Chains" (first time since 2006 and first time with Brooks Wackerman on drums) and "Save Me" (which hadn't been performed since 2011 and also was a Wackerman first).

Avenged Sevenfold are being hailed for their boundary-pushing 2023 album, Life Is But a Dream , and the new tour gives the band a platform to share those songs live. This current tour run spans 30 dates in total.

Avenged Sevenfold shares the 2023 tour dates first time in five years. We are thrilled to announce that Avenged Sevenfold will be embarking on their first North American tour in support of their critically acclaimed album , “Life Is But a Dream.” This long-awaited tour will be a must-see event for fans of the band, who have been awaiting their return to North America.

Band will be joined by Falling in Reverse

Avenged Sevenfold has announced the second leg of their extensive Life is But A Dream… North American tour – featuring support from Falling In Reverse. Produced by Live Nation, leg two includes stops in Nashville, Denver, Austin, and more before concluding at Fort Worth’s Dickies Arena on October 15th. Fans will have the opportunity to hear the group’s first single in seven years, “Nobody,” and their new album Life is But A Dream… for the first time live during the 30 show outing.

The first leg with support from Alexisonfire includes thirteen cities across the US and Canada, such as Mansfield, Québec City, Tinley Park, Calgary, and more. The group kicks off their 2023 solo touring run with two unique one night only arena shows in New York and Los Angeles this June.

Tickets will be available for the newly announced shows starting with a Deathbats Club and TicketPass presale beginning now through Wednesday, April 12th at 3 pm ET. Additional presales will run throughout the week ahead of the general on sale beginning on Friday, April 14th at 10 am local time via Ticketmaster . All other shows are currently on sale.

Deathbats Club is a collection of 10,000 unique Deathbat NFT’s, made popular by Avenged Sevenfold, flying around the Ethereum blockchain. A Deathbat is a membership card into the club and offers many perks and access to events that will take place in the “metaverse” and in real life.

During that window, fans will submit their request for tickets and, after the request period closes, they will receive a confirmation from Ticketmaster if tickets matching their preferences have been secured. This process gives exclusive access to ticket locations that have been reserved for the Deathbats Club community.

Avenged Sevenfold bassist reveals worst show the band ever played: “It started with 10 people and ended with five”

Avenged Sevenfold bassist Johnny Christ has reflected on the worst show the California arena-metal band ever played in a new interview.

Talking to The Jesea Lee Show, the bass player said the career-low concert took place during the touring cycle for 2005 breakout album City Of Evil , at a bar in Hamburg, Germany.

“We had gone over there for the first time to mainland Europe,” Christ said.

“We had the success of City Of Evil I believe at this point. City Of Evil had just come out and we were popping off in the States. We had to go over there and slum it. This was 2005.

“We played a place [thinking], ‘Oh yeah, it’s gonna be a great turnout,’ and it was a bar of 10 people. We hadn’t done that in a few years.”

The bassist continued: “We show up at the time still wearing our makeup, with our fog machines, we’re on top of the world right now.

“We were quickly humbled in that bar. I’m pretty sure people walked out. I think it started with 10 and ended with five.

“It wasn’t like this was the first gig we ever played. We were making a name for ourselves in other parts of the world but they were not having it yet.”

Fortunately, Avenged are now well beyond playing 10-capacity dive bars and are currently gearing up for a stacked headline tour of Asia and Europe.

The run of shows – which starts in Jakarta, Indonesia, on May 25 – includes headline slots at the UK’s Download festival on June 16, Denmark’s Copenhell on June 19 and France’s Hellfest on June 27.

• date and type of the event (artist, competition or show, dates and times, etc.)
• number of ALL rewards points required to order an arrangement

The website also provides details of the location of the VIP Box where members who order an arrangement will be seated during the event. The number of arrangements available to order is limited to 5 arrangements per event. Orders are processed on a first-come-first-served basis and are limited to the number of Packages available. Packages are not exchangeable or refundable unless the event is cancelled by the organizer, in which case ALL will refund the Rewards points used by the member for the concerned order.
