The multi-award winning artist will be 73 years old when he starts his 2023 tour in April next year. He is considered rock royalty and has political friends in high places - he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Barack Obama in 2016.

Legendary US rockers Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band are bringing their international tour to Dublin, Ireland for two dates in  May 2023.

“After six years, I’m looking forward to seeing our great and loyal fans next year," Springsteen, who has roots in Co Kildare , said on Tuesday. "And I’m looking forward to once again sharing the stage with the legendary E Street Band. See you out there, next year — and beyond.”

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are set to rock out at the RDS Arena in Dublin, Ireland on May 5 and May 7, 2023.

Tickets for the Irish concerts will go on sale via Ticketmaster this Friday, May 27.

The 2023 Dublin shows are likely to go a bit smoother than The Boss's gig at Slane Castle in Co Meath in 1985 . Springsteen wrote in his  2016 autobiography "Born to Run" that the scenes in the crowd at the huge Irish gig put him into "a pure rage and simmering panic"

"I could not face what was happening in front of the stage at Slane on a nightly basis," he wrote. "It was irresponsible and violated the protective instinct for my audience I prided myself on."

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band will mark their return to the road in early February 2023 with a string of to-be-announced US arena dates, followed by the European stadium shows kicking off on April 28th in Barcelona, Spain and a second North American tour leg starting in August.

Aside from Dublin, the planned European stops are Barcelona, Paris, Ferrara, Rome, Amsterdam, Landgraaf, Zurich, Düsseldorf, Gothenburg, Oslo, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Vienna, Munich, and Monza. Additional cities and shows in the UK and Belgium will be announced at a later date.

These 2023 dates will mark the first live shows for Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band since the conclusion of their 14-month, worldwide The River Tour in Australia in February 2017. The River Tour was named 2016’s top global tour by both Billboard and Pollstar.

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band last reconnected to perform on Saturday Night Live in December 2020, where they launched live versions of two songs from their most recent studio album ‘Letter To You’ (Columbia Records), which reached #1 in eleven countries and marked the band’s first time recording live together in decades.

Last year, Springsteen unveiled his never-before-released “The Legendary 1979 No Nukes Concerts” film, collaborated with President Barack Obama on the book ‘Renegades: Born In The USA’ and reprised his record-setting show ‘Springsteen On Broadway’ to help reopen New York City theaters last summer.

The E Street Band’s members are: Roy Bittan – piano, synthesizer; Nils Lofgren – guitar, vocals; Patti Scialfa – guitar, vocals; Garry Tallent – bass guitar; Stevie Van Zandt – guitar, vocals; and Max Weinberg – drums; with Soozie Tyrell – violin, guitar, vocals; Jake Clemons – saxophone; and Charlie Giordano – keyboards.

US singer Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have confirmed they will return to Ireland to play four concerts in May 2024.

The 74-year-old singer will perform in Cork, Dublin, Kilkenny and Belfast as part of his world tour next year.

Springsteen will perform at Boucher Playing Fields in Belfast on May 9th, Nowlan Park in Kilkenny on May 12th, Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork on May 16th and Croke Park in Dublin on May 19th.

Tickets for the gigs will go on sale next Monday, November 6th at 8am with Ticketmaster .

In September, Springsteen postponed the remainder of their 2023 concerts as the singer receives treatment for peptic ulcer disease.

The Boss in Belfast: Bruce Springsteen announces Irish stadium shows

Bruce Springsteen has announced his highly anticipated return to Ireland with a series of stadium shows in May 2024.

The legendary rockstar will be joined by the E Street Band for the four Irish dates, which form part of a wider 22-date European tour.

The tour kicks off in Belfast on May 9 at Boucher Road.

Springsteen then heads to Nowlan Park in Kilkenny on May 12, followed by a stop at Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork on May 16.

Tickets for the Irish concerts go on sale November 6 at 8am via Ticketmaster.

The Boss last performed in Ireland in May  with a sold out three-night run at Dublin's RDS Arena.

He was scheduled to complete the rest of his European tour in 2023 but was forced to postpone after being diagnosed with peptic ulcer disease.

Springsteen has since confirmed he is "steadily recovering" and "can't wait to see you all next year."

The 2024 European tour will also include shows in the UK, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Norway.

The concerts in May were part of a larger European summer tour that saw the Boss deliver what Billboard called "the greatest show on earth" and went on to sell over 1.6 million tickets across the continent.

SINGER Bruce Springsteen has revealed he will be performing for four nights in Ireland next year.

The popular singer and The E Street Band have added 22 European stadium shows to the 2024 World Tour.

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band delivered "the greatest show on earth" according to Billboard across Europe this past summer, and they'll make a triumphant return to the continent in 2024 with a just-announced 22-show stadium run.

Kicking off on May 5 in Cardiff, Wales, Springsteen and The E Street Band will bring their 2024 world tour to Northern Ireland, Ireland, England, France, Czech Republic, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, and Norway — before bookending in the UK with a date at London's Wembley Stadium on July 25.

Springsteen and The E Street Band’s 2023 European tour sold over 1.6 million tickets, and earned widespread praise as some of the best shows of the band’s career.

The 2023 European run received praise as "one of the greatest shows ever" from the Daily Telegraph and five-star reviews from The Times, The Independent, NME and many others across its 14 countries.

They first will be heading to Belfast in Boucher Rod on May 8 then onto Kilkenny where they will be performing in Nowlan Park on May 12.

Next, they will be hitting the stage in Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork on May 16 and the final stop will be in Croke Park in Dublin on May 19.

Tickets for these gigs will go on sale on Monday, November 6 at 8AM.

Postponed tour.

Springsteen had been struggling with the illness earlier this year, according to an announcement on his official social media account.

The rock 'n roll star followed his doctor's advice and will continue treatment through the rest of the year.

Springsteen was on tour with the rock band, The E Street Band, but the artists decided to cancel the rest of the tour dates.

"With this in mind, and out of an abundance of caution, all remaining 2023 tour dates for Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band will be postponed until 2024," the rocker's team wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Springsteen wrote in the statement: "Thanks to all my friends and fans for your good wishes, encouragement, and support. I'm on the mend and can't wait to see you all next year."

His team said that the rescheduled dates for all postponed shows would be rearranged.

A peptic ulcer is a sore that forms on the lining of the esophagus, stomach, or small intestine.

It's caused when stomach acid damages the lining of the digestive tract.

S YRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — In September 2023, Bruce Springsteen announced he was postponing all remaining 2023 tour dates  with The E Street Band until 2024 out of an abundance of caution for his peptic ulcer disease.

A month later he officially announced on X, formally known as Twitter, that he rescheduled the postponed 2023 U.S. tour dates. That Syracuse tour date has finally come as “The Boss” will play at the JMA Wireless Dome tonight, April 18.

The following list includes the rescheduled 2024 U.S. tour date with its 2023 original date:

According to Springsteen’s team, all tickets for postponed performances will remain valid for all the newly announced dates.

“Information about each individual show, including details regarding refunds, is available through the official ticketing company for the specific date. Rescheduled dates for Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band’s shows in Canada will be announced next week, all taking place in 2024 at their originally scheduled venues,” stated the tweet.

Bruce Springsteen Makes Comical Promise About His U.S. Tour Finale

Bruce Springsteen is getting ready for the final concert of his current U.S. tour leg with the E Street band, and—surprise, surprise—he has a message for fans who will be coming out to the show this Sunday, April 21, in Columbus, Ohio.

Springsteen has posted the latest in a series of videos promoting his upcoming gigs on his social media sites. In the new clip, the Boss is captured backstage at a recent concert.

“Columbus, welcome to my dressing room,” Springsteen says. He then points to his wardrobe and comically shares, “These are my clothes. Those are my pants. I’ll only be wearing one pair of ’em when I come to see y’all on Sunday. And we are gonna rock you, me and the E Street Band, into the ground! I warned you. See you Sunday.”

Hanging from a wall in the dressing room is an Italian flag with the phrase “Our Love Is Real” written on it. The phrase, which is reference to a famous line in “Born to Run,” is now regularly used by Springsteen fans to express their affection for the rock legend.

As with Springsteen’s previous couple of promo clips, the new video was shot by his sister, veteran photographer Pamela Springsteen.

Not surprisingly, Springsteen’s video inspired many fans to share messages of their own in the comments section of his Instagram page.

“Can’t wait to see you Sunday!” one fan wrote. “It will be my 53rd show and the first one that I’m taking my sons. We are psyched!”

Another commented, “These are the best little clips and exactly how social media should be used IMO. Delightful!”

A third fan quipped, Fantastic 💜 but now I wonder what [E Street band guitarist] Steve Van Zandt’s dressing room and clothes rail looks like!” Van Zandt, of course, is known for his flamboyant fashion sensibility and colorful head scarves.

The retrospective offers a selection of noteworthy songs from throughout the Boss’ 50-plus-year career. Best of Bruce Springsteen is available now as an 18-track CD or two-LP set, and as a deluxe 31-song digital release.

Springsteen’s Upcoming Tour Plans

After wrapping up their current U.S. leg on April 21 in Columbus, Springsteen and his band will head to Europe. That trek runs from a May 5 concert in Cardiff, Wales, U.K., through a July 27 show in London. Bruce and the gang also will visit Ireland, France, the Czech Republic, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, and Norway.

Continuing their first run together since 2016-2017, Springsteen and The E Street Band's recent tour stops have been hailed as "one of the greatest shows ever" by The Daily Telegraph and "the greatest show on earth" by Billboard.
