'Oh My God,' Adele fans: She's extending her Las Vegas residency with 34 new dates

date tour adele 2023

Adele fans who missed out on tickets for the "Easy on Me" singer's 32-concert Las Vegas residency  are in for a treat.

The British star, 34, announced Sunday that she's extending her stay at The Colosseum at Caesar's Palace.

Her Weekends With Adele residency has added 34 dates, picking back up on June 16 until Nov. 4 . The presale starts April 5. Ticketmaster Verified Fans can register for the presale through April 2 .

Adele's first string of sold-out shows ran Nov. 18 to March 25.

The singer told her Vegas audience that the June performances will be recorded for a concert film.

"Playing to 4,000 people for 34 nights is not enough, and I know that, I know it's not enough. So I am coming back," Adele said Saturday night in video captured by fans. "I'll be back for a few weeks in June, and I’m going to film it and I'm going release it to make sure that anyone who wants to see the show (can see it)."

USA TODAY's Melissa Ruggieri said the show was " a spectacular two hours, even for casual Adele fans ."

'Thank you for coming back to me': Adele begins Las Vegas residency with emotion

"Between the gleaming video elements commandeering the length of the massive Colosseum stage and her vocal curlicues on songs such as 'Take It All' from 2011's sophomore album, '21,' and the gently galloping hit 'Water Under the Bridge,' Adele's presentation thrilled," Ruggieri wrote.

She added, "On every song, whether a newcomer ('I Drink Wine,' from her  Grammy-nominated album '30'), or catalog classic ('Send My Love [To Your New Lover],' performed under hot pink lighting), Adele's voice was as impeccable as her sculpted eyebrows and French manicure.

'Worst moment in my career': Adele dishes on postponed Las Vegas residence

This second round of Adele's Las Vegas residency is special given that fans – many of whom had traveled from other countries – were disappointed  when the singer canceled her residency at the last minute  in January 2022. She apologized with a  tearful video  on social media.

"I'm so sorry, but my show ain't ready. We’ve tried absolutely everything that we can to put it together in time and for it to be good enough for you, but we’ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and COVID – half my crew are down with COVID, they still are – and it’s been impossible to finish the show. … I can’t give you what I have right now," she said at the time.

In July, Adele told BBC Radio 4  in England that she understood why fans were upset with the delay, but she doesn’t regret her decision to retool the show.

“For some of you it was a horrible decision on my part, and I will always be sorry for that, but I promise you it was the right one,” she said in a statement. “To be with you in such an intimate space every week has been what I’ve most been looking forward to and I’m going to give you the absolute best of me.”

Adele has announced she is extending her residency at the Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas one last time.

The final leg of Weekends With Adele, which launched last November , is 32 dates and runs from January through June 2024. Details were announced by Adele, who on X (formerly Twitter), penned a thoughtful paragraph to go along with the news.

“This residency, these shows have changed my life,” she wrote. I desperately needed to fall back in love with performing live again, and I have. I needed to reconnect with my songs and remember what they mean to me, and I have!”

“Being on stage over the last year so up close and personal with an audience again after all these years has been a truly extraordinary restorative experience that I’ll never forget,” Adele continued in her post. “The looks on your faces, seeing you laugh and cry together singing your hearts out and hoarding bags of confetti… It’s crazy how joyful a show full of sad songs can be!! I’ve felt so much and learned so much about myself and you. It’s humanized everything I thought was scary. Mostly though – it’s just made me realize how much I really enjoy being on stage, that I’m bloody good at it and that it is 100% where I belong!”

Adele added 34 new dates to the residency earlier this March and after a three-month hiatus, the Grammy winner returned this summer. This current string of shows will conclude on Nov. 4.

Adele Las Vegas Residency Dates 2024: Where to Find Cheap Tickets to Her Upcoming Shows

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, Rolling Stone may receive an affiliate commission.

Following a record-breaking run in 2023, Adele announced she would extend her Las Vegas residency once again, with a string of new dates, now running through November 2024. The extended run includes rescheduled dates for postponed concerts from March.

While Ticketmaster became the official ticket provider for the “Weekends with Adele” residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, most of the shows have already sold-out on Ticketmaster.com . Fortunately, we’ve spotted decent seats and prices for Adele tickets online on sites like Vivid Seats and StubHub .

Adele kicked off the previous leg of her Las Vegas residency on June 16, 2023. Previously scheduled to wrap up in November 2023, the final leg of Weekends With Adele will now run through Nov. 23, 2024.

“Playing to 4,000 people for 34 nights is not enough, and I know that,” Adele told fans in Vegas during her initial run last year. “So I am coming back. I’ll be back for a few weeks in June, and I’m gonna film it, and I’m gonna release it to make sure that anyone who wants to see this show can see it.” For now, fans will have to go see the show in Vegas to hear Adele perform, as any further film release details have yet to be announced.

Want to find tickets online to see Adele’s Vegas concert for the remaining dates? Here’s what you need to know.

When Do New Adele Tickets Go On Sale for 2024?

Initial tickets to Adele’s new residency dates for 2024 went on sale in October through Ticketmaster . Similar to previous legs of her residency, tickets sold out immediately and the general on-sale was canceled. Fortunately, official tickets are still available for the 2024 dates on Vivid Seats and StubHub , among other certified resale sites.

How to Get Tickets to the Adele Shows in Vegas

While Ticketmaster is where Adele tickets were first made available, we’ve found Adele tickets available on reseller sites like StubHub , SeatGeek , and Vivid Seats . Bonus: New customers can use our exclusive Rolling Stone  promo code  RS2024 at checkout to get $20 off orders of $200+ on VividSeats.com .

SeatGeek , meantime, offers $10 off eligible orders of $250+ with the promo code ROLLINGSTONE10 at checkout (valid on first purchases only).

All of these sites offer authentic, verified tickets (I.e., no illegal scalpers here) and you can either find Adele tickets online by price range, or by searching for seats on a seat map. We’ve seen seats start in the $430 range for upcoming shows, which is the cheapest pricing online for Adele tickets. Tickets are delivered digitally (over email) and the sites all offer a buyer’s guarantee verifying that you are purchasing legitimate Adele tickets online.

“This residency, these shows have changed my life,” Adele wrote in a caption on Instagram in October. “I desperately needed to fall back in love with performing live again, and I have. I needed to reconnect with my songs and remember what they mean to me, and I have! Being on stage over the last year so up close and personal with an audience again after all these years has been a truly extraordinary restorative experience that I’ll never forget. All the hilarious, soulful, wild and heartbreaking interactions we’ve had are banked in my mind for life. The looks on your faces, seeing you laugh and cry together singing your hearts out and hoarding bags of confetti. All the simi dolls, friendship bracelets, flowers, facetime calls and flags. It’s crazy how joyful a show full of sad songs can be!! I’ve felt so much and learned so much about myself and you. It’s humanized everything I thought was scary. Mostly though – it’s just made me realize how much I really enjoy being on stage, that I’m bloody good at it and that it is 100% where I belong!”

Adele continued: “So let’s go one last time before I turn into a showgirl forever! Love you and I’ll see you on the otherside soon x.”

Adele Vegas Residency: What to Expect & How It Sounds

Adele has never sounded better, and the Weekends With residency proves it. Fans who’ve waited months or years to see Adele in Vegas should expect an intimate performance, complete with immersive sound designed by audio brand L-Acoustics — you’ve heard its sound systems at venues like the Hollywood Bowl — specifically fine-tuned for every moment of the show at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

That means no matter where you’re sitting in the audience, you’ll feel like you’re part of the action, from Adele ‘s opening ballads to the most explosive moments (think: thunder crashes, an expansive live-band reveal, and literal pianos on fire while rain pours down from the sky — can you guess the song?). In other words: It’s subtle, but what you see is what you hear, and there’s hardly a bad seat in the house from a sound perspective.

“A big focus on the sound design for this show was — while we certainly introduce moments of hyper-realism — we wanted to enforce a strong underlying sense of audio-visual connection,” Adele ‘s production system engineer Johnny Keirle told Rolling Stone in an interview on using L-Acoustics’ immersive sound tech known as L-ISA for the residency. “For example, hearing a guitar coming from where our eyes tell us the  guitar should come from.”

Continued Keirle, “With the show design emphasizing a show that visually grows in size, we have been able to complement the show’s visual with an audio soundscape that grows and builds in a similar way. While this is done to match the overall visual ebb-and-flow of the show, we can also do this throughout the course of a song, adding an extra dimension to the overall experience.”

Adele Vegas Residency Set List

Covering four albums and countless hits, Adele’s Vegas residency set list spans the Grammy winner’s catalogue, including classics like “Hello” and “Set Fire to The Rain.” It’s unclear if the new dates will be the same as the previous legs, but here’s a sample set list from a February 2023 show to see if your favorite track might make the cut. ( Note: Spoilers ahead; we recommend attending the show without looking it up beforehand.)

When Is the Adele Residency in Las Vegas?

The “Weekends With Adele” residency started in November 2022 at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace (home to residencies in the past from the likes of Mariah Carey and Celine Dion). The singer performed two shows each weekend through March 25, 2022. The second run kicked off on June 16 and was scheduled to wrap on Nov. 4, 2023, according to Adele’s website . On Oct. 20, 2023, Adele announced 32 new dates as the final leg of her residency, which started Jan. 19 and was set to end on June 15, 2024.

But on Feb. 27, 2024, Adele posted that she would need to postpone her upcoming Weekends With Adele shows for March.

I love you, I’ll miss you like mad and I’m sorry for the inconvenience x pic.twitter.com/zO3k2ggMKR — Adele (@Adele) February 28, 2024

“Sadly I have to take a beat and pause my Vegas residency,” Adele posted in a statement on X , formerly Twitter, on Tuesday. “I was sick at the end of the last leg and all the way through my break. I hadn’t quite gotten the chance to get back to full health before shows resumed and now I’m sick again, and unfortunately it’s all taken a toll on my voice.”

Adele continued, “And so on doctor’s orders I have no choice but to rest thoroughly. The remaining five weekends of this leg are being postponed to a later date. We are already working out the details and you will be sent the information asap.”

Adele announced the rescheduled dates on April 2, which includes 10 new concerts that kick off Oct. 25 and 26, respectively. “Ticket holders for the postponed dates will be sent an email regarding their new allocated date,” Adele’s statement on social read.

Adele adds final dates for Las Vegas residency — how to get tickets

Adele is not leaving Las Vegas anytime soon.

The Grammy-winning singer shared on Instagram Oct. 20 that she has extended her Sin City residency, called Weekends With Adele, for 32 more dates that run into June 2024 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

"So let’s go one last time before I turn into a showgirl forever!" she wrote as part of her announcement on Instagram.

The new dates begin on Jan. 19, 2024, and end on June 15. Registration is open now until Oct. 23 at 10 p.m. PT on Ticketmaster.com. Some fans who register will be randomly selected to receive a code that allows them to buy tickets on Oct. 26 while others will be put on a waiting list.

"This residency, these shows have changed my life," Adele wrote, captioning the sweet Instagram video that highlighted some of her Vegas residency. "I desperately needed to fall back in love with performing live again, and I have. I needed to reconnect with my songs and remember what they mean to me, and I have! Being on stage over the last year so up close and personal with an audience again after all these years has been a truly extraordinary restorative experience that I’ll never forget."

This is the second time Adele has extended her Las Vegas residency. On March 26, the singer shared on Instagram that she had added 34 new dates, beginning June 16, 2023 and ending on Nov. 4, 2023.

Adele's residency, which has received "overwhelming" attention, according to a press release, debuted in November 2022.

How to get tickets for Adele's show

The first step in getting tickets to Adele's Las Vegas residency is to register with TicketMaster for presale tickets. As part of the registration process, you'll submit a form which indicates which show dates you'll want to attend.

What happens after I register for Adele's concert?

After submitting the form, you'll get an email within 24 hours confirming your registration.

On Oct. 25, you'll get a second email letting you know if you were one of the fans randomly selected to get access to the sale or whether you got waitlisted. If you did get randomly selected, you will receive an access code to use for the sale of the ticket on Oct. 26.

If you get waitlisted, you will have to see if there are any tickets remaining for the date or dates you want after the initial sale. You are allowed to register for up to four shows, but if randomly selected, you can only purchase one show date.

Adele

When can I actually buy Adele tickets?

Fans who are randomly selected to buy tickets can do so beginning on Oct. 26. Only fans who received a unique code will be eligible to purchase tickets for performances on a first-come, first-served basis.

How To Get Adele Tickets In 2024

Adele has given fans a reason to set fire to the rain this spring: She’s announced new performance dates for 2024. The 16-time Grammy winner’s Weekends With Adele tour picks up in mid-May for her Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. After that, she travels to Munich, Germany in August for ten shows before finally returning to Vegas for October and November. Here’s everything we know about how to get Adele tickets this year.

Adele is performing a select number of shows in the summer and fall of 2024. Read on to see how to ... [+] get tickets for her tour of Vegas and Munich.

The 15 Best Hotels In Rome, From Romantic Palazzos To Luxe Abodes

Get amazing color accuracy with the best monitors for video editing, where to buy tickets for “weekends with adele”.

While tickets for the Weekends With Adele tour dates are mostly sold out on direct platforms like TicketMaster , fans who want to ditch their earbuds and experience Adele live still have a few options to snag tickets on the secondary market. Keep in mind that prices on ticket reselling platforms fluctuate greatly date-to-date, and the cost varies wildly between the Vegas and Munich events.

  • Ticket reseller StubHub has concertgoers covered for all of Adele’s upcoming tour dates in the United States and Europe, with U.S. tickets selling for $700 and up; tickets in Germany start at $100.
  • Prices on Vivid Seats are similar to StubHub, with the Vegas shows starting at around $770 and the Munich shows starting around $100 a ticket.
  • SeatGeek is only offering tickets for Adele’s shows in Las Vegas, with tickets starting at $750. Prices have escalated quickly, though, with Seatgeek warning on its website, “The average price for Adele tickets is around $3,216” and “floor seats for Adele cost around $2,350.”
  • TicketNetwork’s prices for Adele’s Vegas show begin around $1,000 each, and her Munich show tickets start at $120. However, you can save $25 on a purchase of $150 or more using promo code TNTIX25 at checkout.

When Do Adele Tickets Go On Sale?

Tickets are already on sale, so don’t wait too long if you want to see Adele live this year. Many dates—including her re-opening night in Vegas on May 17—are listed on ticket sites as “selling fast.”

Adele announced on Instagram earlier this month that the Vegas concerts in October and November will be shows that had to be rescheduled from March. Ticket holders should expect an email with more information about their new show date.

The singer had to put her Vegas residency on hold during after she fell ill. Being sick took “a toll on [her] voice,” she shared in a statement, as reported by Deadline .

Of course, if you don’t yet have a seat at one of those shows, you can still purchase tickets for the October and November dates; they are not exclusively for fans who are being rescheduled.

How Much Are Adele Tickets?

It should go without saying that as with all live performances, ticket prices vary by venue and the seat’s proximity to the stage. For this tour, Adele is limiting her performances to just two stages: The Colosseum at Caesars Palace for her Las Vegas residency and The Open Air Arena at Messe München in Munich, Germany.

On average, you’ll need to spend significantly more money on tickets for the Vegas show than on the Munich gigs. The lowest prices at the Messe München clock in less than $150, while Vegas tickets start around $700 (with some tickets selling for as much as $6,000).

It’s also important to remember that ticketing sites typically charge additional fees that aren’t included in the original price of the ticket but instead are added at checkout.

Olivia Rodrigo’s Relatable Superstardom on the Guts Tour

By Amanda Petrusich

A side portrait of Olivia Rodrigo with a heart pierced with gold glitter swords behind her. There is checkered...

The opening moments of Olivia Rodrigo’s seventy-seven-date Guts World Tour—which began in February and arrived at Madison Square Garden for four sold-out nights in early April—feature a video of the pop star sprinting down a dumpy hallway, then rapping her knuckles on a purple door. Anyone attuned to Rodrigo’s musical disposition knows that whatever is waiting on the other side is probably not virtuous, exactly, but is almost certainly a good-ass time. Last Saturday, as her band slammed out the opening chords of the night’s first song, the punkish, frothing “Bad Idea Right?,” Rodrigo appeared onstage in a silver sequinned miniskirt with a matching bralette and black combat boots. The crowd was instantly united in a kind of lawless exuberance. The feeling in the room was: Let’s give ourselves something to regret in the morning!

Rodrigo, who recently turned twenty-one, is funnier and less fussy than the other pop stars in her echelon. She is not apolitical (she has invited abortion funds to set up information booths at Guts shows, and is donating a portion of the tour’s proceeds to a fund supporting women’s reproductive health), and she has not cultivated an image of sexlessness, piousness, or self-seriousness. She appears, instead, to revel in pleasure—even when she knows that whatever it is she’s thirsting after will probably get her into trouble.

Rodrigo’s best songs feature her clowning on herself—“Everything I do is tragic / Every guy I like is gay,” she sang while charging around the stage during a performance of “Ballad of a Homeschooled Girl,” a raucous song teeming with excellent one-liners—or meditating on a choice made in pursuit of fleeting bliss. That sort of thing might not seem radical—who among us has not muttered, “Fuck it, it’s fine,” and run directly toward the wrong person, as Rodrigo gleefully recounts doing—but, in an era in which a woman’s desire is still often thought of as inherently dangerous, Rodrigo’s unself-consciousness about what she wants can feel nearly revolutionary. She never projects superiority, and her relatability—perhaps the most powerful cultural currency of our time—doesn’t feel overly engineered. She knows that true yearning is always a little humiliating. “God, love’s fucking embarrassing,” she sang in the middle of “Love Is Embarrassing,” before turning one of the song’s more defeated proclamations—“How could I be so stupid?”—into a blithe punch line. This is another recurring theme of Rodrigo’s writing: the indignities of growing up when you have to learn everything the hard way.

The Guts tour is the first time that Rodrigo has consistently played arena-size venues. (For her last major tour, in 2022, she booked theatres and concert halls, telling Billboard she didn’t want to “skip steps” in her career.) Rodrigo was a Disney Channel star in the late twenty-tens, beginning when she was thirteen. She rose to global prominence in January of 2021, with the release of “Drivers License,” a gentle but devastating ballad about a relationship gone awry: “Guess you didn’t mean what you wrote in that song about me / ’Cause you said forever, now I drive alone past your street.”

The song, which Rodrigo co-wrote with the producer Daniel Nigro, destroyed an array of streaming records. Rodrigo’s first album, “Sour,” which arrived that May, débuted at No. 1, was nominated for seven Grammys, and eventually went quadruple platinum. She released “Guts” in September of 2023. Rodrigo’s voice is substantive—on her burlier songs, there are moments when she reminds me of Adele—but it contains a tiny tremble that gives her work heart. “The better a singer’s voice, the harder it is to believe what they’re saying,” David Byrne once noted; Rodrigo gets this, and never grasps for perfection. At M.S.G., she performed “Drivers License” seated at a piano, while fog rolled across the stage. “I still fucking love you, babe,” she wailed on the bridge. If she’s over the heartbreak now, it was hard to tell. In the crowd, people held one another and swayed.

Though tours of this magnitude tend to be impeccably coördinated, down to breaks for banter, Rodrigo was appealingly low-key and natural. The Guts show has five costume changes, which felt modest compared with Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour (nine) or Taylor Swift’s Eras (sixteen). At ninety minutes, it is also far shorter than both of those. Rodrigo, a stronger singer than dancer, avoids elaborate choreography, though she is preternaturally good at galloping across a stage, knees high, waving an arm around. A scrum of talented dancers sometimes followed behind her like a swarm of bees. It feels odd to call a run this ambitious “small”—and, to be fair, at one point Rodrigo sailed above the arena on a crescent moon—but I appreciated the sanity and the precision of its scope. Rodrigo’s performances are true to the arrangements on her records—she is not Bob Dylan on his Never Ending Tour, boldly reinventing a vast and varied catalogue—but the evening still felt spontaneous, even intimate. When she performed “Favorite Crime,” a wounded acoustic song from “Sour,” about (what else?) behaving badly while in the throes of love, she sat cross-legged on the stage with her guitarist. For a few minutes, the vibe felt more coffeehouse than world-tour.

The crowd was largely female and very young—a good portion was under twelve, I’d guess, and though I wasn’t quite expecting retirees, I was still startled by the median age, particularly considering the candor of Rodrigo’s lyrics and her jocular comfort with certain expletives. Her fans sang along the entire time, loudly and persistently enough that it was often impossible to hear Rodrigo. Midway through the show, she paused to ask, “Did anyone come with their mom or their dad tonight, maybe? I love going to concerts with my mom and dad! Hey, guys! Hey, sweet families!”

The kids were exquisitely dressed. A time comes in every grown person’s life in which the fashion of her adolescence becomes cool again. For anyone who came of age in the late nineties and still recalls the moment in which grunge (fading) and pop-punk (ascendant) had a brief but potent sartorial collision, the look of the Guts tour, both onstage and off, will feel deeply familiar. It’s X-Girl-era Kim Gordon meets Ashlee Simpson circa “Boyfriend”—high-school cheerleader, but make it goth. Last summer, I committed the grave mistake of rolling up to an Eras performance in Levi’s, Converse, and a T-shirt (in my defense, the concert was in New Jersey), and received myriad looks of pity from the crowd. “We must dress,” I texted my companion (male, thirty-two) before the Guts show. I picked out a vintage Marc Jacobs dress with a Peter Pan collar, and pulled my hair into a high ponytail tied with a black bow. He wore a Megadeth T-shirt. I am not sure we fully assimilated, but at least no one whispered “narc” when we walked by.

Though Rodrigo’s voice feels engineered for big, swooning ballads, she is also unusually good at the sort of bratty, frenetic delivery immortalized, in the early to mid-two-thousands, by such pop-punk acts as Avril Lavigne, Sum 41, and Blink-182. “I wanna get him back / I wanna make him really jealous / Wanna make him feel bad,” Rodrigo sings on “Get Him Back!,” a prickly song about hating and wanting someone at the same time. It was her final encore of the night, and she performed it wearing sparkly hot pants and a crop top with the phrase “And just like that . . .” scrawled across the front. (The previous night, in another allusion to “Sex and the City,” her shirt had read “Carrie Bradshaw AF.”) She sang the first verse through a red megaphone, her handheld microphone tucked into her waistband. “I wanna meet his mom,” she purred, her voice tender, vulnerable. A beat. “And tell her her son sucks!” (We contain multitudes.) Rodrigo held out the microphone to let the crowd take the song’s best lyric, and, in a kind of deranged unison, we stood and bellowed, “Maybe I can fix him!” ♦

Woods stood 1-under through 13 holes, two inside projected cut line

Change Text Size

You can't win the Masters on Thursday, but you can lose it, as the adage goes. Tiger Woods didn't lose it.

After heavy storms overnight delayed the Masters' start by two-and-a-half hours Thursday morning, Woods teed off at 3:54 p.m. ET and stood 1 under through 13 holes as play was suspended due to darkness, an encouraging start as he seeks his sixth green jacket – and a record 24th consecutive Masters made cut.

But Friday will be a different animal for Woods. The first round resumed at 7:50 a.m. ET, just over 12 hours from when play was suspended Thursday night. Woods will finish the final five holes of his first round, take a short break and then head out for his second round tee time at 10:18 ET. How will his body hold up with the short recovery time and 23 holes on Friday? That's the central question.

"The body is okay," Woods said Thursday night. "We've got some work to do yet tonight."

After undergoing ankle surgery following a WD during the third round of last year’s Masters, Woods returned to PGA TOUR competition at The Genesis Invitational in February, where he opened in 1-over 72 but withdrew during the second round due to flu-like symptoms. The Masters is Woods’ first start since withdrawing at The Genesis, and he said Tuesday that he still believes he can contend and win. That’s why he’s here, after all.

“If everything comes together, I think I can get one more,” said the five-time Masters winner on Tuesday.

His play so far validates that belief.

Woods started fast on Thursday with a birdie at the par-4 opening hole, his first Masters-opening birdie since 1999, and he remained steady as the conditions dried out in the afternoon. Woods, 48, made bogey at the par-3 fourth but responded with a two-putt birdie at the par-5 eighth, turning in 1-under 35. He made three straight crafty up-and-down pars on Nos. 10-12, then escaped the trees en route to par at the par-5 13th, his final hole of the day.

"The wind was all over the place," Woods said Thursday evening. "It was one of the most tricky days that I've ever been a part of. It was hard to get a beat not only on what direction it was going, but the intensity, and it kept switching all over the place, and then you had to – the timing was affecting putts on the greens. It was a very difficult day."

Woods entered the week on a streak of 23 consecutive made cuts at the Masters, sharing the all-time record with Fred Couples and Gary Player. He'll have a chance Friday to hold that record alone, but expected windy conditions (up to 34 mph) should offer a challenge for Woods and the field at large. Woods was tied for 17th, six back of leader Bryson DeChambeau, as play was halted for the evening. DeChambeau posted 7-under 65 earlier in the day, one clear of world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler's 6-under 66.

Read below for a hole-by-hole look at Woods' opening round at Augusta National.

Hole 18 (par 4, 465 yards): Tiger has great rhythm with the driver, with another perfectly placed tee shot in the 18th fairway. It's a mighty encouraging sign as the first round finishes up and Woods readies for 18 more holes. It's a 287-yard drive. He has 171 yards into the closing par 4.

After Max Homa's approach got swallowed up by the wind and found the right greenside bunker, Woods plays a nearly identical shot. The wind impacted those shots much more than either player anticipated. Woods will need an up-and-down to finish even-par for the first round.

Nearly more short game magic for Woods! His bunker shot comes just inches from hitting the flagstick. Instead, it races by and Woods has more than he bargained for -- 16 feet for par. He gets the putt to the hole but doesn't play enough break. He closes with a bogey.

Woods finishes with an opening-round 73. That's a solid result given his lack of competitive reps, though Woods is surely disappointed after he was 1 under through 13 holes when play suspended Thursday night. He won't have much time to dwell on the finish. His second round tee time is scheduled for 10:18 a.m. ET. He has around 45 minutes to grab some food, keep the body loose and get ready for 18 more holes.

Woods shoots 1-over 73

Hole 17 (par 4, 440 yards): It's another low, fading bullet with the driver that finds the fairway. Woods is 3-for-3 in fairways hit this morning. That's a great sign. He's hit 77% of the fairways in this first round, slightly better than the field average.

With 158 yards into the green, Woods pulls 9-iron and plays the smart shot, leaving himself below the hole. He will have 23 feet for birdie. After a few shaky iron swings to start the morning, Woods has hit two solid ones with his tee shot on 16 and now this approach.

Woods leaves his birdie putt short. That's three putts left short in his opening four holes of the day. But it is another stress-free par. Those are always welcome at Augusta National, particularly on the 17th.

Woods even-par thru 17

Hole 16 (par 3, 170 yards): Woods pulls 7-iron after watching Jason Day put one in the water with the same club. The 82-time PGA TOUR winner doesn't make the same mistake. Woods safely lands it 20 feet past the pin and uses the slope to get it on the same plateau as the hole. He will have 20 feet for birdie.

It's a quick putt, meandering slightly left to right. Woods handles it with care but doesn't give it quite enough pace. That will be another par for Woods. He's 1-over since play resumed today but has made two relatively easy pars after that opening bogey.

Woods even-par thru 16

Hole 15 (par 5, 550 yards): Woods’ drive finds the fairway but it will be a lay-up with 273 yards remaining into the green. He does just that, leaving himself 70 yards. It's a tricky wedge shot on a severe downslope and Woods can't control the spin as the ball rolls off the back of the green. Woods' ball-striking has been iffy to start, but his touch is fully activated as he nearly holes the chip for birdie. He makes the comebacker for par.

It's a hole you'd like to make birdie, but Woods will take the par. He is clearly laboring this morning; the short turnaround time was likely going to be problematic. As the weather warms and Woods gets a few more swings, let's see how his body progresses.

Woods even-par thru 15

Hole 14 (par 4, 440 yards): Play resumed as scheduled at 7:50 a.m. ET. Woods plays his patented cut off the tee and finds the fairway. The 315-yard drive leaves him just 119 yards into the green, but Woods lays the sod over a wedge and comes up short of the green. That leaves Woods with a delicate chip, with the pin sitting on the top of a slope on the back of the green. Woods opts to hit a low spinner, but the ball releases out and Woods has 22 feet for par. The curling right-to-left putt come up just short. Woods makes bogey and drops a shot.

Woods even-par thru 14

Hole 13 (par 5, 545 yards): Woods plays a fade off the tee but overcooks it, as the ball sails into the collection of pine straw amidst a dense tree line right of the fairway. It means he can't go for the green, and he escapes the trees with a low punch shot that reaches the first cut just short of the fairway, leaving a 191-yard approach for his third shot.

Faced with a hanging lie and Rae's Creek closely guarding the green, Woods strikes a crisp iron shot that lands hole-high and stops on a dime, leaving a reasonable look from roughly 20 feet. The horn blows for darkness, allowing players to finish their current hole if they choose, as Woods walks to the green.

Woods opts to complete the hole; his right-to-left breaking birdie try pulls up a couple feet short. He makes his par to remain in red figures overnight. All in all, a promising start for the five-time Masters winner. It will be a marathon Friday as he eyes a record 24th consecutive made cut at Augusta National.

Woods 1-under thru 13

Hole 12 (par 3, 150 yards): As the twilight begins and the wind continues to gust, Woods pulls 7-iron and flies it over the green, a trend that has emerged with his mid-irons on this Thursday. The ball settles in the pine straw roughly 30 feet past the hole, but once again he displays a sublime short game with a softly played bump-and-run that trundles to 6 feet.

Woods drains the par putt, his third straight crafty par save as darkness approaches at Augusta National. He'll head to the par-5 13th tee.

Woods 1-under thru 12

Hole 11 (par 4, 520 yards): Woods has played this hole a cumulative 17 over across his career, but he has no such trouble on the tee shot Thursday, striping it down the fairway's left side as he begins Augusta National's famed Amen Corner. Faced with a lengthy second shot from 209 yards, he strikes it well with a long iron but the ball perhaps catches a gust of wind; it lands in the front fairway and settles some 80 feet short of the hole.

Woods' magnificent short game is on display once again, as he executes a high flop shot that lands softly and releases to tap-in range. He saves par, his second straight impressive up-and-down to begin the back nine. Darkness will approach soon; it appears he might only complete one more hole Thursday. Onward to the famed par-3 12th across Rae's Creek.

Woods 1-under thru 11

Hole 10 (par 4, 495 yards): Woods positions a fairway metal safely in the fairway's right side on the majestic downhill par 4, but he misses the green right with his second shot from 216 yards, leaving a slippery greenside bunker shot.

Ever a short-game magician, Woods has no troubles with his third shot from the bunker, playing a nifty splash shot that lands in the fairway cut and releases to leave a 4-foot uphill par putt. The patrons roar with deserving approval. He drains the par putt, dead center, to stay in red figures.

Woods 1-under thru 10

Hole 9 (par 4, 460 yards): Woods is finding a comfort zone off the tee, striping this drive 312 yards, perfectly positioned in the fairway's right side, leaving a good angle from 169 yards. He selects an 8-iron that tracks toward the hole, but the ball can't reach the back tier on which the hole is positioned; the ball lands on the ridge beween tiers and rolls back onto the green's middle tier, leaving a 33-foot birdie putt.

Woods' uphill birdie putt has solid pace but grinds to a halt 2 feet short. He cleans up his par to turn in 1-under 35, a promising start to the Masters. He stands T15 at the turn, six back of leader Bryson DeChambeau. He's two inside the current projected cut line of 1 over.

Woods' playing partner Max Homa turns in 3-under 32. Safe to say the group's vibes are high.

Woods 1-under thru 9

Hole 8 (par 5, 570 yards): Woods blisters driver down the right-center of the fairway, utilizing a high cut that puts him in position to reach the green in two. He does just that with a bold strike from 242 yards, the ball landing softly on the green's right collar to leave a 40-foot eagle putt.

Woods leaves his eagle try 5 feet short, but the birdie putt slides into the cup's right side. With his second birdie of the day, he's in red figures once again.

Woods 1-under thru 8

Hole 7 (par 4, 450 yards): Woods tugs a fairway metal just left of the fairway, the ball settling in the first cut but requiring a low punch to elude a dense grove of trees. He plays his 171-yard second shot accordingly, a low bullet that tracks toward the hole but can't clear a front greenside bunker.

Woods' bunker shot is a short-game master class, the ball landing some 10 feet short of the hole and releasing beautifully, leaving a 2-footer to save par. He has no trouble doing so.

Woods even-par thru 7

Hole 6 (par 3, 192 yards): Woods takes an aggressive line with a mid-iron; the ball tracks toward the hole's left side and lands roughly 15 feet short-right of the hole, but it catches the slope and feeds back onto the green's front portion, leaving a cross-country birdie try up a tier from 42 feet.

In what could be either a misread or a mis-hit, Woods' birdie putt misses short and right of the hole, leaving a knee-knocker for par. He has no trouble, though, draining the 5-footer for an adventurous two-putt par.

Woods even-par thru 6

Hole 5 (par 4, 495 yards): Woods pulls driver on the demanding par 4 and plays a feathery cut that splits the fairway's right-center portion. The five-time Masters winner hoists a mid-iron from 200 yards that lands softly on the green's proper level, offering a mid-range birdie try.

Woods' 16-foot birdie try has a good line but isn't struck hard enough, settling a couple feet short. He cleans up his par to remain level on the round.

Woods even-par thru 5

Hole 4 (par 3, 177 yards): Woods flushes an iron on Augusta National's first par 3; similar to his third shot on the par-5 second, the ball flies too far, settling in the second cut just beyond the green. He faces a slippery downhill chip, the green sloping away, and bumps the ball into the fringe on a line some 20 feet left of the hole; the ball releases onto the green and rolls well past, leaving a 25-foot par attempt from the front portion of the green's back section.

Woods' par putt is well judged, but the right-to-left bender just misses on the hole's right edge. He taps in for his first bogey of the week.

Woods even-par thru 4

Hole 3 (par 4, 350 yards): Woods settles in with the driver, playing a tight cut that eludes the short par 4's myriad fairway bunkers, the ball traveling 334 yards down the middle. From roughly 70 feet, he plays a bump-and-run second shot into the hill that releases just past the hole, leaving a 12-foot birdie try.

Woods can't convert the birdie, as he plays too much break on the left-to-right slider; the ball stays out on the left side. He taps in for a comfortable par, remaining in the Thursday red.

Woods 1-under thru 3

Hole 2 (par 5, 585 yards): Woods pulls driver but is unhappy with the swing immediately; he points to the left as the ball misses the fairway on the left side. The ball travels 319 yards, but it settles just inches from a tree's thick base, with 237 yards remaining to the hole. After some analysis and deliberation, he turns an iron upside-down and makes a left-handed swing, advancing the ball roughly 40 yards back into the fairway, enough to offer a clear angle for his third shot to the green.

Woods selects a 6-iron for his third shot from 190 yards; he stripes it but the ball flies too far, settling in the fairway cut beyond the green's back side. He plays a pitch-and-run with a mid-iron for his fourth, the ball not getting more than a few inches above surface level; it releases through the fringe and rolls to 5 feet. "Absolutely brilliant," said analyst Dottie Pepper. The slippery downhiller has some right-to-left movement, but he drips the par putt into the hole's left center with sublime pace. Crisis averted.

Woods 1-under thru 2

Hole 1 (par 4, 445 yards): Sporting a salmon shirt in his new Sun Day Red branding, Woods stripes a fairway metal with plenty of left-to-right movement, the ball starting down the left side but cutting back perfectly to the center of the fairway. He doesn't miss a beat on his second shot from 169 yards, striping a short iron to 8 feet. The patrons roar in approval.

Woods takes advantage of the early opportunity, as the right-to-left breaker curves into the center of the cup with perfect pace. Birdie to start. It's the first time since 1999 that he has carded birdie on his first hole of the Masters.

Article body

Ticket sales for all three upcoming men’s UEFA club competition finals and the UEFA Super Cup have started exclusively via UEFA.com/tickets and will run until 11:00 CEST on 16 April.

As in previous years, fans of the participating teams and the general public are being allocated the majority of tickets and general public tickets will not be sold on a first come, first served basis but through a lottery that will be conducted after the application period has ended.

Tickets available in the most affordable category, ‘ Fans First ’, will be exclusively reserved for fans of the clubs playing in the three finals. The sale and allocation process for tickets reserved for the fans of the finalist teams is being arranged directly with the clubs involved.

On the UEFA ticket portals for the three club competition finals, applicants can choose whether they want to enter the lottery regardless of the finalists or only if their team qualifies. For the lottery, the ticket quota will be allocated fairly between these two groups of applicants, taking into account the number of applications received within each group.

Tickets will be delivered via the UEFA Mobile Tickets app a few days before the match. Ticket holders will need to download the official app, which is available for Android and iPhone users. The app allows fans to securely download, transfer, keep and assign guest tickets anytime and anywhere. The FAQ section of the app includes videos on how to use mobile tickets.

Prices and ticket allocations for fans and general public are indicated below. The remaining tickets outside these allocations are for the local organising structure, UEFA’s member national associations, commercial partners, broadcasters and UEFA.

Masters 2024 Leaderboard: First round scores for golf leaders at Augusta

Follow  live updates from all the Masters action here or check out our  hole-by-hole analysis of Tiger Woods' first round  at Augusta National.

The best golfers in the world have once again converged at Augusta National Golf Club in search of the coveted green jacket. This is the 88th edition of the annual Masters Tournament , so will we see a brand new winner or will one of the 18 former winners playing in this year's tournament claim the championship yet again?

Day 1 proved to be exhilarating. Not only did we see the early tournament favorite, Scottie Scheffler , prove why so many people were backing him to win, but a few dark horses emerged as well. LIV's Bryson DeChambeau leads the entire field after Day 1, shooting 7-under par on Thursday. Other golfers who weren't given great odds to start the tournament like Danny Willet (-5) and Nicolai Højgaard (-4) also played some incredible rounds. Even Tiger Woods had some great moments and moves into Day 2 ranking inside the top-20 at 1-under.

From NFL plays to college sports scores, all the top sports news you need to know every day.

Three more days are left in this year's tournament, with one round played each day. The cut will happen after Day 2, and only the top-50 players on the leaderboard will advance into Saturday and Sunday. It's unforgiving, but what else can you expect from a tournament as heralded as The Masters.

Here is everything that happened during Day 1 of the 2024 Masters Tournament.
