A seven hour layover is enough time to have a great tour. The city tour will include San Salvador, visiting important landmarks, such as, the Main Cathedral, The National Palace, Iglesia El Rosario, Teatro Nacional and more. The tour includes lunch at a local Pupuseria to enjoy pupusas for lunch. Pupusas are our national dish. Then, we will drive to El Boqueron National Park to view the San Salvador Volcano. Here, you will have a great view of the crater, as well as, a gorgeous view of San Salvador city. On our way back to the airport, time permitting, we can visit La Libertad, a beach on the Pacific Ocean. Here you can enjoy a beautiful sunset with the best seafood around.
